I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho, only my story.

Chapter 3.: Revelation: part 1.

"Erm Kurama?"- Genkai asked as she was checking on him.

"Yes?"

""Can I ask something about youkos?"

"Of course you can! What do you wish to know?"

"Do they or you have any special illnesses?"

"No. Not as far as I know."

"What about your reproduction? Can you reproduce asexually, like kroomie for example?"

"No we can't but I've heard of reproduction with our own gender. Males with males, females with females. I've never experienced it though. At least not as a youko…"-he whispered.-"And now I'm a human."

"I couldn't make a proper diagnose, I'm sorry. I have a suspicion, but I'm not sure. I guess we'll have just to wait a week or so for Yukina."

Yukina arrived three weeks later, two months after her brother's runaway. Kurama got a little bit better from Genkai's ningen, and his own herbs; he could finally eat again. He was busy with the plants in the temple's garden, when he heard footsteps from behind.

"Oh, Yukina! Hello!"

"Good afternoon Kurama! It's so nice to see you again! How are you and what brought you here, if I may ask?"-she chuckled. "I guess you didn't come all the way to the temple because of the plants, did you?"

"I wish I could say I did."-He smiled a tired, bitter half-smile. "But no. I've came here, because I've fallen into a strange illness, that I couldn't find the cause of. Nor what it actually is."

"Oh…but why? You're so old and wise. You're an ancient, very powerful creature. How come you couldn't figure it out yourself? I mean no offense I just don't understand Kurama…"

"Truth to be told I was so sick I couldn't check on myself. Now I'm better, but I'm out of both demon and spirit energy. It's like as if something would be sucking it away from me."

"That's starnge."

"I'm going to be honest with you Yukina. I can barely summon my rose whip."

"Dear! Then this is indeed very serious!"

"I guess so it is."

"Fox boy! It's time for beeed!"-Yusuke yelled from the stairs.-"You shouldn't tire yourself Kurama, you know that. C'mon lemme' help ya' up!"

Yukina took a closer look at Kurama and started to realize just how weak and fragile the half fox demon looked. He was pale and way too skinny for his height. he looked sick. Not vulnerable, but definitely ill. She also noticed that Kurama was indeed so weak; he could barely stand on his own. He was leaning onto Yusuke's shoulder for support.

"My dear,"-she thought-"he looks really awful!"-But what scared Yukina the most were his eyes. Kurama's beautiful grass green eyes which were usually full of life were empty. Not like emerald anymore. Shine less. The sparkling light, the fire, the passion-which occurred when he fought-they were all gone. Only emptiness was left behind. The little kroomie became so sad, she could cry.

"Yukina could I talk to you in private for asecond?"-genkai asked suddenly.

"Yes Master Genkai, sure."

They walked out onto the porch.

"I have a suspicion Yukina."

You do?"

"Yes, I do. But it's gonna' sound a little bit odd."

"Just a little bit?"

"Actually, no…very odd. Possibly crazy."

"Oh."

"He's expecting."

"Is that possible?"

"He said in a few cases youkos had reproduced with their own gender."

"So he laid with another male."

"I guess he did. That's none of our business."

"But he's in a human body isn't he?"

"Yes, he is. That's why I can't believe it."

I'll go check on him."

"Okay. I'll wait out here."

Yukina returned a few minutes later, with a startled look on her face.

"Master Genkai you were right. He is indeed with child."

"Oh my fucking god."-It was really out of character for her to swear like that.-"But why does he have a fever?"

"Maybe he mated with a fire apparition. That would explain the kind of yoki I felt. It was a lot alike what I felt in the presence of ."

"Guess that would explain it Perhaps his magic impregnated him, but his human male body can't bear it. Especially if erm…the other parent is a fire demon like we suspect."

"Shall I go and tell him the news?"

"Yes you should."

"But not in front of Yusuke I guess?"

"No not in front of him. The dimwit would probably faint.
