Kaname was shuffling through his paperwork, when there was a gentle knock on his dark oak doors. "Enter, Ichijo." The pureblood murmured softly. All was quiet as the noble entered, and then quietly closed the door behind him; proceeding to take long, gracefully strides towards his leader's desk.

"So, tomorrow's the big day, hm, Kaname?" Takuma smiled brightly and his emerald green eyes sparkled with happiness for Kaname as he sat on the edge of the large desk; resting his hands in his lap. "How do you feel?"

A sigh escaped Kaname's lips as his eyes slowly rose to meet his best friend's. "Honestly? I'm worried for Zero. I am aware Aidou is the best for the job, but still... there's this feeling that things may not end up well... I have been constantly thinking about what Zero said; regarding our son being born an unstable Level D due to Zero's condition. I do not think I could handle it if Kieran was born like that; it might very well destroy Zero if he was..."

A worried frown overtook the blonde noble's face, "Kaname. This isn't like you. You don't worry. I realize the outcome of this situation isn't something any of us can control, but you still have to believe that... everything will work out. For the better. You're going to worry yourself sick if you don't." Takuma didn't know if he'd said the right words; but he wanted to ease his friend's worries.

The prince closed his eyes, and nodded softly, "You are right, old friend. I cannot be like this; I must be strong for Zero. For Kieran. It will be fine. Surely." He reached for his half empty flute glass of lukewarm blood-like liquid, and took a long sip before looking up to meet Takuma's eyes again. "Is everyone else in class besides you and Aidou?"

The vice president nodded, "Yes; I'm assuming Zero is with him?" Kaname nodded, sloshing the remaining liquid around in his glass, "Yes. Aidou is like a worried mother hen when it comes to Zero; I find it peculiar, but... calming; to know my mate is in good hands such as his." The blonde laughed at the pureblood's comment.

"Why, yes, he is, isn't he? He has Zero for tests almost every evening. I guess the success of this pregnancy means just as much to him as it does to you and Zero. Aidou adores you both. I don't know when he started caring so much for Zero, but it's a good thing. I believe everything will turn out fine tomorrow. We're all going to be there for the delivery, Kaname."

Kaname gave a soft smile, "That is comforting; for everyone we care for to be present." He was quiet for a moment as he ran a hand through his hair, "Does everyone know what day and time already?"

Takuma smiled and nodded, "I took care of it, Kaname; don't worry. Aidou and I got this. You just support Zero, and we'll take care of the rest, alright? Everything will be fine."

Kaname turned around in his chair, and looked out the window at the moon; feeling it calm his nerves. "Yes. You are right, Ichijo."

All was silent for a while, before Takuma glanced up at the clock and slid off of Kaname's desk. "Zero should be back any time now. So I'll leave you in peace, Kaname; I'll see you tomorrow morning." With that, the noble swiftly left; leaving Kaname alone to collect his thoughts.

"Aidou, can I please go back to my room?" Zero asked, stretching out his legs as he relaxed in his designated chair in Aidou's lab.

Said blonde vampire make a 'tsk' sound with his tongue, writing on his clip board. "Just about, Zero-sama. I just want to make sure everything is absolutely perfect for tomorrow evening. Everything must run as smoothly as possible; not only for your and the baby's sake, but for Kaname-sama's as well."

Zero groaned in annoyance, "I know, I know. I know; and I thank you for being so careful with everything. It's just exhausting. Do you know how hard it is being pregnant?"

Aidou laughed, placing down his clip board. "Good Lord, Zero-sama. Please. You can leave now. I've got all I need here."

Zero mumbled, struggling to stand, "About damn time." The silver-haired prefect took a deep breath when he finally got to his feet, and sighed, resting a hand on his stomach. "Kieran. Tomorrow's the big day. I hope you're as ready as I am." He smiled softly, then started to walk -well, more like waddle- towards the door. "Good night, Aidou."

The blue-eyed noble tried to hide his laughter behind his hand, "G-good night, Zero-sama. Sleep well." "Go to hell, Aidou." The mother growled in response before leaving, mumbling in annoyance as he made his way back to his love's room.

Zero finally relaxed when he closed the doors of his and Kaname's room; breathing in his mate' s familiar scent. His lavender pools landed on the silhouette of the prince sitting in his chair, looking out the window and he smiled softly, slowly making his way over. "Long night, Kaname?"

Said vampire turned his attention to Zero as a gentle smile etched itself across his features. "Not really. How was your visit with Aidou? Everything alright?"

The prefect made it to Kaname's side of the desk, and leaned down; capturing the pureblood's lips in a sweet kiss before pulling away, and walking towards their bed. "Yeah. I think Aidou just worries too much. He says we're all ready for tomorrow."

Kaname agreed with that; but in the end, he was grateful. "Alright. We should get some sleep then. I believe in Aidou. Everything will be fine." He stood from his desk chair and stretched, walking over to his wardrobe to change into his night clothes.

"It sucks we can't fuck."

That comment took Kaname off guard, and he blinked, turning to his mate as he finished buttoning up his night shirt; a smirk now present on his lips. "Oh? Well, do not worry too much, my love; soon I will be able to love you all night long." He then strode confidently over to their bed and crawled in next to Zero; immediately wrapping his arm around the prefect and pulling him close to his body. "Do not worry."

Zero blushed lightly, but smiled, and closed his eyes, cuddling close. "Hm. I'll keep that in mind, Kaname. Good night. I love you."

Kaname kissed his mate's hair gently, "Good night, Zero; I love you too. So much."

"It's almost time, Chairman!" Yuuki gushed as she danced around the office with a bright smile on her face. "We should head for the Moon Dorm soon."

Kaien smiled with glee, and joined Yuuki in her little dance. "Yes, yes, we should! Ah, I can't believe my only son is going to be a mother!" Yuuki stopped dancing after that, and blinked, looking at him, "Um... that sounded really weird and out of place."

Kaien stopped dancing too, and stroked his chin; a thoughtful look on his face. "Ah... yes, I suppose so. But it's the truth, Yuuki; no matter how bizarre it sounds." He shrugged, adjusting his glasses, "Now, let's go ahead and head over. I'm sure the others are already gathered by now, Yuuki." The petite brunette nodded in agreement, and lead the way out of the office; exciting to meet her nephew.

Seiren happened to be waiting at the gates of the Moon Dorm; emotionless as usual, despite the happy occasion. "Good evening, Chairman. Yuuki. Kaname asked me to escort you two to the delivery room." Kaien nodded firmly and made a gesture with his hand for her to lead, while Yuuki just smiled.

"Oh, I just can't wait!" Yuuki said, holding her hands together. "I'm so excited!" Kaien chuckled while Seiren made a comment, "Yes, it is quite the momentous occasion." The quiet vampire lead them through the large doors of the dorm, and up the marble staircase, and down the hall until they made it to the door of Aidou's lab.

"Well, here we are," Seiren murmured, as she reached for the door handle. Just as she began to turn it, there was an outburst from inside.

"Damn it, don't touch me there! What do I look like?"

"I'm sorry, Zero-sama, it's necessary!"

"How the hell is it necessary?"

"Aidou, please."

Yuuki blinked, hearing the arguing voices of Zero, Aidou and Kaname. "Um, what's going on?" Seiren sighed deeply, and pushed open the door. "Zero is not very cooperative. Nothing out of the ordinary." The vampires in the room turned their attention to their new guests.

Aidou was the first to greet them, blue eyes blazing with joy. "I'm so glad you two could make it! We're about to start once the medication I gave Zero to numb pain kicks in." Yuuki smiled, and ran over to Zero, who was laying in a hospital gown, on a raised bed.

"Zero!" The young girl gave him a hug. Zero smiled softly, "Yuuki... I'm glad you could make it..." He hugged her tightly back. Kaien then walked over and hugged Zero next.

"I'm so proud of you, my son. So proud." Zero rolled his eyes and hugged the Chairman back. "Thank you, Cross. That means a lot to me. It really does."

Kaien then pulled back from the hug as Aidou clapped his hands. "Alright, everyone; time to get started. I want you all - except for Kaname - to clear to the next room, and wait. I will invite you all back in once the operation is over."

Seiren then lead the gang out of the room; Takuma picking up the rear. He turned towards the trio, and gave a smile, "Good luck." Then he left, closing the door behind him.

"I can't believe this is really happening," Takuma said, crossing his legs. "Really, Kaname and Zero make such a great couple, and it's hard to believe they're having a child." Kain nodded in agreement.

"Yes. When Aidou first told me, I didn't know what to think. But really, it's a miracle in and of itself. Now hopefully, everything turns out well."

Shiki took a bite of his strawberry pocky before contributing to the conversation, "Akatsuki, it's your cousin. The scientific genius." Rima finished his thought, "It will be fine. It's Aidou."

Ruka scoffed, sitting back on the leather loveseat she shared with Kain, and crossed her arms. "That's reason to worry, not be relaxed. Aidou's a complete idiot." Kain's dark, blood red eyes darkened, "Ruka..."

Kaien waved his hand, "I know of the complications that could happen, but, we have to have a little hope. Right, Yuuki?" Said girl smiled and nodded eagerly. "Yes, that's right, Chairman. We have to believe this baby will be born nice and healthy."

There were some nods of agreement, before Shiki asked, "So... how long do you think this process will take?" Takuma shrugged, "I suppose no longer than a typical C-section." Ruka then raised an eyebrow, "Because we've all been present for one before, Ichijo."

The emerald-eyed Vice President blew a strand of blonde hair out of his eyes and 'tsked', "Ruka, please. Control that attitude of yours." The dirty blonde blinked and opened her mouth, about ready to spout a retort; but Kain put his hand over her mouth. "Ruka."

Takuma smiled smugly, "Thank you, Akatsuki. Much appreciated."

A little later, after Ruka had bit Kain's hand, causing him to bleed and causing the other vampires in the room become aroused at the smell of blood, Aidou entered the room; his Night Class uniform still white and pristine somehow.

The blue-eyed, blonde noble pulled the gloves off his hands, as a bright smile adorned his face. "Everyone... it's finished. And luckily... the baby is a stable Level C. But, as time goes on, it's possible for him to drop to a D and fall from there, due to Zero's blood flowing through his veins. This might not happen for quite sometime and if it does... hopefully, he can be cured. Just like Zero."

There were mixed reactions and murmurs through out the small room as the group stood and made their way back into Aidou's lab; where Zero was holding a small bundle in his arms, and Kaname was standing next to him, beaming in pride at his son and mate.

"Oh my God," Yuuki whispered, covering her mouth in wonderment at the sight of her nephew. "He's... he's beautiful.." Kaien smiled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, "Yes. Yes he is."

Takuma walked forward as the all gathered around Zero's bed, and he rested a hand on Kaname's shoulder. "Congratulations, old friend. I'm so happy for you both. Your son is beautiful."

Kaname's wine-colored eyes looked over to Takuma in gratitude, and then he glanced back down at his family; one of his hands reaching out to stroke Kieran's soft snow-white hair, "He's perfect, everyone. He looks just like Zero." To accompany Kieran's snow-white hair, he had indigo blue eyes.

Zero smiled softly, rocking Kieran slowly in his arms. "He does look like me, doesn't? He has your nose though, Kaname." The young vampire Hunter leaned down and kissed his son's forehead, "He looks like both of us."

Once everyone had a chance to say their congratulations, Aidou ushered everyone out of his lab to give Zero and Kaname some alone time.

Kieran cooed softly, playing with one of Zero's fingers. The prefect chuckled, his lavender eyes slightly wet with tears, "Kaname... I love him so much. I don't know what the fuck I would've done had he been born unstable because of me..."

Kaname sighed softly, leaning down to capture his love's lips in a gentle, loving kiss. The pureblood prince couldn't remember the last time when he was this happy; and perhaps... such a time did not exist. He might not have chosen this future; but he certainly wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world.

A/N: Um... yeah... please don't fucking kill me. Please don't. I know you probably want to, and honestly, if I really liked a story, and the author stopped updating for like... ever and ever, I'd be pissed too. It's been over 4 months. I'm really sorry; I just did not feel like writing. At all. I very nearly had to force myself to write this and end it all. But I felt like... I owed it to you guys, the ones who liked it, to finish it. So I have. Again... dedicated to mimifoxlove. I hope you all and enjoy and forgive me enough to tell me your final thoughts on this. Deuces, everyone. Until next time. ~Aly~
