Actual Episode of the series – Episode 3
Focus characters: All except Samus
In a dark room, hidden somewhere deep underground, a man and an agent were paying close attention to that of a computer screen. Static rose and appeared from the monitor, and continued to do so until an image appeared. The image was that of a hexagon with a large H behind a black and white banner.
"The Hive Academy for Extraordinary Young People is proud to present, this year's top graduates." A voice said. In front of the Hexagon rose a yellow pillar in a large honeycomb like hallway.
And on this pillar were six individuals: One small kid in a green jump suit, a girl in a long black dress with purple and black tights, a enlarged young man with orange hair, a silver haired man who had two blades and a strange device on his belt, a woman in a tight black dancers outfit which barely covered her body, and a man in red dragon armor who wielded a large spear. All six of these individuals leapt from their pillar onto the ground.
"Gizmo." The voice said as the camera focused on him. "The boy genius whose intellect can conquer any situation with an inventive solution." The boy on the screen pressed a button on his jump suit, creating large bat like wings; which possessed a jet pack on them. He then flew towards a series of pillars, all of which carried lasers on them, and was able to eliminate them with a few well placed missiles on the walls. The boy landed, and then flew off as several robots appeared from the wall. As he flew away, the girl in the black dress landed.
"Jinx." The voice continued. "The enchanting sorceress, whose hexes mean bad luck for her enemies."
The girl spun in a circle, doing a majestic ballet, emitting strange purple projectiles from her arm. The strange lines of energy entered into turrets on the walls, causing the turrets to collapse and fall apart, destroying the robots below. Jinx then leapt away and continued to do so, only for more turrets to appear in front of her. As they did, the large man with long orange hair charged in, crushing the turret in his hands.
"Mammoth." The voice said. "The genetically modified giant, whose strength speaks for itself."
Which it did as the man was able to grab the turret, and hurl into the others, destroying them. As he wiped his hands clean, three more robots appeared behind him. Before they could raise their arms to fire, a brown blur passed by them, and the arms of the machines fell off.
"Jean." It voice said. "Whose amazing speed, adept swordplay, ionized blades, and Three Dimensional Maneuverability gear makes him the best at any hit or run based attacks."
Jean flew the top of one of the walls of the hallway, his gear's hooks implanted in them. He then twisted himself around and fired another hook behind the robots. Speeding forward, he moved in between each one of them and cut the three machines down with single strokes. As he flew towards a wall, a large black hand appeared and grabbed him, pulling him safely towards the ground, as he landed right next to the silver haired, witch.
"Cia." The voice said. "The Black Magic witch, who not only carries a menagerie of powerful dark magic, but can summon shadowy versions of her opponents to do her bidding."
Cia saw several turrets open from the sides of the walls, which began to fire on her. She moved in front Jean and summoned a wall made of dark purple flames. She then raised her scepter in the air, which opened a portal above her, summoning clones of the robots; all of which emerged and began to fire at the turrets on the walls. Since the turrets were concentrating on Cia, they didn't fire back at the robots; who shot them down one by one.
Two more robots emerged from underground. These robots were then impaled by a man with a large burning spear, who eliminated them quickly.
"And finally; Volga." The voice said. "Whose fighting prowess and powers granted from the Dragons enable him to have superior strength, speed, and power." Several more robots appeared from underground. Volga merely smiled and then assumed the form of a large red dragon. He flew into the robots, crushing them all with his might.
The rest of the video simply displayed the six individuals crushing and destroying robots and turrets, displaying their abilities one by one, until everything had been shown.
"Well organized, well equipped, and highly trained, these new HIVE agents are the perfect fighting force." The voice said. "And for the right price, they can be yours."
The six agents looked in front of the camera, before the camera turned off, showing nothing but static.
"Well mister Slade?" An older woman said, walking in front of the screen.
"Impressive." A man in the shadows said. "Truly. However, robots and obstacle courses only prove so much. My plans demand operatives who can function in the real world. If your students are going to serve me, they'll have to pass one final exam. Destroy the Teen Titans. And then we'll talk."
The woman bowed as the lights above her turned off.

*BEEP* *BEEP*
Samus opened her eyes. 6:00 AM in the morning. Wonderful…she had only slept for two hours after working all night. After overlooking law papers, documents, charting her ship's route, over viewing Star Maps, and a lot of legal and political documentation for the last three days, she was extremely drained.
"Uuuuggghhh…" She groaned. The alarm clock continued to ring for a few good minutes, with Samus trying to catch even another few minutes of REM sleep. But she knew she couldn't. She had to leave very soon if she was to arrive on schedule. She had been sleep deprived for the last three days after she got the call from Adam with all the work she had been given with this special request.
Luckily, this was the last day she would have to endure this.
"All right dammit; I'm up." She shouted, slamming her alarm clock's off switch as hard as she could. She could swear she heard cracks coming from it.
Tired, extremely irritable, and having the biggest desire to drain her bladder (which meant the diuretics she took were kicking in), she pulled herself out of the covers, grabbed her suit case and duffle bags. At the very least, most of the other Titans were still out; so she would not be bothered on her way to her ship. Which was good because she had been running on nothing but a couple hours of sleep and caffeine for three days; and she was ready to punch someone in the face. She took to the bathroom, used the toilet, showered as quickly as she could, and then left.
She got to the docks of the Titan's where her ship was. Every step she took was exhausting, but she knew she'd be asleep again in minutes once her ships' sleep capsule was activated. She was really looking forward to the long vivid dreams. The elevator in the Titan's Tower reached the bottom of the base, where all of the craft was stored at; including her starship.
She was just about to make it without any interference, when she heard a voice.
"So; how long you going to be gone?" Robin asked.
Samus turned around, ready to punch whomever was talking. Luckily, she realized it was someone she tolerated. Namely Robin.
"Robin?" She asked, rubbing her eyes. "What are you doing up?"
"I'm usually an early riser anyway." He said, handing her coffee. Samus pushed it away and shook her head. "I noticed you were really working over the last few days. Something going on in the Federation?"
Samus groaned. She was hoping to reach her ship without being noticed. But…Robin was by far the most normal; so she decided to spare a few moments, even though she was in nothing but a robe.
"There's a large meeting going on the Federation Police force right now." She said. "They're all going to a big debate among the other police bases and officers before the Federation Congress who sees who gets the biggest cut of this year's budget. My old CO contacted me and asked me to come down. I did promise him that if he needed help, I'd fly over. I spent the last three days making sure my papers were in order. I had a reasonably large database stored within my Power Suit, so I was compiling all the relevant data that they could use to help with their side of the argument."
"Aren't you a cutthroat bounty hunter though?" Robin asked.
"I've been using the Power Suit ever since I was an officer." She responded. "So naturally I have something's in its memory banks that I can use to help their side. Politics aren't my thing…but I owe a lot to my old CO. This is something I have to do."
"I see." Robin asked, looking at Samus' drooping eyes. "You sure you're okay to fly?"
"Not manually." She responded, laughing a bit. "Last night I wrote the flight plan for my ship. I'm going to be in a sleep capsule for the whole trip…well up until the 36 hour mark. I'll be hitting a space diner there to get some food, and then I'll head back into the capsule. The capsule induces a wave pattern that enters your body and dampens your brain and nerves; and basically forces you into REM sleep. If you start getting too much, it puts you back into Stage III sleep, and keeps you there until you need to go back to REM, so I wasn't too mad I was up all night. I finished the flight plan, around 10 PM, but I had to take diuretics to clear my body of excess water. If you don't, you pretty much are guaranteed to wet yourself while you sleep. The sleep capsule I have isn't cold sleep, so my body is still going to have liquids flowing in it. Going in and out of the restroom was keeping me up."
"Need some help your luggage?" He asked.
"If you don't mind." She responded.
So Robin helped Samus by talking her duffle bags, while Samus placed her suitcase in the ship. Afterwards, she went outside of her ship with Robin.
"So how will you be gone?" He asked.
"Probably a week…maybe two." Samus said. "With my starship, it's at least a 2 day journey to the planet I'm going to. Why? Worried I won't come back; or you won't be able to handle anything?"
"I think we'll be fine." Robin responded.
"Let's hope so." Samus responded. "Try to not let the place go to hell while I'm gone. I'm the one who keeps this place clean you know."
"I know." Robin said as he leapt off the ship. "I'll keep this place in order."
Samus nodded. With that, Robin waved goodbye to her. Samus went down into her ship. Before she went down, she turned to Robin.
"Oh…and tell Alma if she steals another bra or swim suit from me while I'm gone, I'm going to beat the crap out of her." Samus said. Robin nodded as she went down into her ship.
The jets on the ship lit up, and it began moving. She inputted the command for the garage in the Tower to open, which it did. Afterwards, she directed the starship at the very least outside of the Tower, and waited for her to leave the atmosphere of the planet. Once she cleared that, and all she could see was the empty void of space, she pressed a few more buttons sluggishly, and a capsule in the back appeared.
"Finally…" She muttered as it opened up. It was a clear capsule, with a very soft cushion that formed a human shaped silhouette, which matched Samus perfectly. She lay in the cushion, finding herself too tired then to get up. After putting her sleep mask on, she had the computer dim the lights. The capsule closed on her.
The waves were emitted instantly, and Samus felt her brain become rewired to be unable to stay away. She proceeded then to dream extremely vivid dreams for what seemed like an eternity.
Although Robin said he would keep the place in order, he unfortunately was unable to (which can come to no surprise if you have ten other teenagers living in a large apartment). By the time a week and a half had passed, the tower was completely littered. Dishes were hardly done, numerous electronics and magazines were on the floor, and everyone's rooms were a mess. Things just seemed to be in a complete state of disarray.
Even Link was having trouble keeping things organized. His room was clean, but his gear wasn't in their proper places. Though, he still made an effort to keep things in line. Eren and Fi was with him, to make sure he gathered the right ones that were dirty.
Link was up early, collecting the Titan's laundry that morning. As one would expect from a household run entirely by teenagers, the room was messy and had stuff everywhere. But today, the mess had reached far more exuberant levels. Eren's room had clothes everywhere, and several other mugs, and even some of his 3D maneuver gear parts on the ground.
"I guess never realized how messy the room was getting." Eren said.
"…I suppose I shouldn't be surprised." Link muttered, beginning to pick up as many of the assorted garments into a laundry basket, before moving to the next room. "Just try to keep it clean. Goddess knows Samus will kill us all when she sees how much we let this place go." The next room was of course Fi's…which Link on the times he went in noticed it to be relatively clean.
But this time…this was not the case. Most of Fi's clothes were on the ground in piles, and a lot of them seemed to be shoved into drawers, still visible. Even more awkward, some of these articles of clothing were her bras, pantyhouse, and underwear; something Link was never comfortable being around.
"This however I am surprised with." Link muttered.
"I am attempting a new level of organization master." Fi said. "I notice that retrieving appropriate garments takes considerable time."
"I expect this from people like Beast Boy and Eren…not you Fi." Link mumbled.
"Hey; I'm extremely organized." Eren barked.
"You want to go back to the room to prove me wrong?" Link asked.
"May I remind you master that your organizational efficiency has decreased by 4.5%?" Fi asked.
"Yes Fi…I'm aware." Link replied, visibly annoyed.
Eren merely grunted as Link and Fi continued to move towards the next room. The next room of course was Alma's, of which was actually open. Link, and the others looked in to see Alma in shorts, boots, and her bra.
Or at least he thought it was until she turned around. He then realized it was Samus'…what with her symbol on it and all. Alma turned to them, and began to turn red.
"I can explain." She said.
The living room was no different. Junk and food wrappers were everywhere, more prominently around the TV. In addition, the refrigerator seemed to be growing a large blue like mold in it.
Worst thing of all, the remote was missing. Cyborg, Scout, and Beast Boy
"Ah man…c'mon!" Cyborg shouted. "It's got to be around here someplace. I don't believe this! How could you lose the remote!?"
"Hey; don't look at me pallie." Scout said, rummaging through trash. "We all know who lost it anyway." Both he and Cyborg looked the direction of Beast Boy.
"What makes you so sure I lost it?" Beast Boy asked.
Both Cyborg and Scout stopped what they were doing.
"Uhh…cause your you." Cyborg said, pointing his finger at him.
"And things mysteriously disappear whenever their around you." Scout said. "Like all my baseball games for my Wii!"
"Just because I lost Scout's video games." Beast Boy said.
"And the toothpaste, and the football, and the waffle Iron." Cyborg added to the mix.
"Things disappear." Beast Boy said. "How am I supposed to know where they're at?"
"Well how am I supposed to watch TV without a remote!?" Cyborg shouted.
A thunderous sound of Raven's book resounded all throughout the living room. Scout, Cyborg, and Beast Boy stopped what they were doing to look at their roommate, who did not appear to be in a annoyed mood.
"Simple." She sneered. "You just get up and change the channel."
Everyone looked at the other for a moment as they looked at Raven. Eventually though, Cyborg turned to her.
"Don't even joke about that." He said.
"I wasn't joking." Raven muttered.
"Good; cause it wasn't funny!" Cyborg shouted.
"Either do that, or don't watch anything." Raven again sneered.
"You see the size of tha' thing!?" Scout shouted. "The hell wants to get up and adjust that!?"
"Size doesn't matter if the switch is on floor level." Raven said.
"Ha!" Scout shouted. "Is that what he said to you last night!?"
Raven's eyes became white, and a black aura encased one of the heavy couch pillows. The pillow flew into Scout's head, knocking him onto the floor.
"Dude…I think she's mad." Cyborg said.
"She's serving them; I'm spiking them." Scout said, pulling himself to his feet.
"Apparently not all of them." Beast Boy said.
"Hey; I ain' taking this from some guy who lost the remote; and my games!" Scout barked.
"I'm telling you I didn't lose them!" Beast Boy shouted.
"This is a pointless argument." Raven moaned. "You are wasting your energy over a useless device."
More arguing ensued as the fight continued to discuss the remote, and the energy exhumed when getting up to adjust the TV. As it did, Robin and Starfire walked in, who were busy locked in a serious conversation over physics; to which Starfire seemed to have a considerable knowledge of.
"And that is the secret to traveling faster than light." She responded. She and Robin then turned to see the Titans in the living room fighting.
"Whoa; take it easy Titans!" Robin shouted. "Combat practice is this afternoon."
"We must mend the dispute with the consumption of unhealthy junk food." Starfire said. "I shall go fetch some."
"I don't need food!" Cyborg shouted. "I need the remote!"
Starfire went to the refrigerator, unaware of the blue mold like substance that was growing within it at a substantial rate. As the fighting continued, Link and his group walked into the area.
"Hey…Samus has much better clothes than I do…so I figured…" Alma said.
"The fact is it's still Samus' clothes." Link said.
"It's not like she'll know!" Alma said.
"Uhh…actually Alma…" Robin began.
A large scream filled the room. The sound of Starfire's energy bolts rang throughout the entire room as a blast hit the refrigerator. A large explosion filled the entirety of the living room, and everyone was then covered in the blue mold. Everyone was at a loss for words when they looked at themselves.
"…Maybe we should go out for a pizza." Robin said.
No one appeared to be opposed to that idea.
*13 days earlier*
ARRIVING AT RENDZOUS POINT. SHUTTING DOWN SLEEP CAPSULE. AUTO-PILOT DISENGAGED.
A bright light came on in Samus gunship. Samus moaned a bit as her mind began to awaken. She had been asleep for the last thirty-six hours. Her body felt completely stiff, but that was to be expected after having been in REM sleep for so long. She struggled in moving her arms first, and continued to do so until feeling returned to her hands. Afterwards, she began to pull herself out.
"Finally…I can get some grub." Samus said.
She quickly put something that was somewhat decent to wear…her usually sporting blue tank top and shorts, before moving to the gravity pad of her ship. The top hatch opened up as she was lifted off ground above her hatch.
The Rendezous point is a small colony that mainly serves as a stopping point for certain planets in the Galactic Federation. The place contains several facilities and services that an individual can use on their way to wherever they go; refueling station, restaurants, facilities, hospital services, everything one would need at a rest stop.
Likewise, since it was a colony, it was generally also expensive.
Expenses though were not a problem for Samus. Adam was covering her bill to bring her to the meeting anyway.
The hatch on Samus' ship closed. She flipped off the ship, and landed on the ground. She of course got stares from the crowd, but she didn't really care too much. She merely went over to the receptionist, pulling out her debit card.
"Dock eighty seven." She said. "Needs a refuel, energy core recharged, tune up, and a cleaning."
"Yes mam." The woman said, as Samus kept walking off. "We'll make sure that the ship…is…" The woman stopped trying to talk when she realized Samus was ignoring her and moving to what looked like a Sports bar.
Samus entered the bar, definitely drawing the attention of a lot of the males. Samus did her best to ignore them.
Pigs. They don't even realize I'm underage…then again…I certainly don't look it…and I am coming here to get something to eat and drink.
She moved to a booth, and merely waited for the server. The server arrived a few minutes.
"Welcome ma'm." She said. "I'm Casey…and I'll be your server." She said. "Do you need a menu?"
"House cheeseburger, fries with the melted cheese on the side, house salad, and Earth Long Island Ice tea." Samus said without looking at her or the menu when Casey placed it on the table.
"Long Island?" The server asked. "I'll need to see ID for that."
Samus handed the lady her datapad, and pulled up her ID. The lady saw her age first, and was about to say something; until she noticed she was registered as a Federation Bounty Hunter. She especially changed her mind when she noticed Samus' name.
"Uhh…coming right up Miss Aran." She said.
"Don't take long." Samus muttered. "And don't forget my food."
The server quickly scurried off. Samus looked to see her talking to the bar owner. Samus could only venture guess that she was quickly telling her boss about the bar's current celebrity. Afterwards, Samus went back to ignoring the people around her.
At least she was able to until…
"Hey!" A voice shouted. "Remember me lady?"
Samus perked up to notice Anthony standing there.
"Anthony!" Samus said. "What are you doing here?"
"Me and James decided to meet at Spacey's, before heading towards the hotel." He said. "Turns out we were pretty much heading the same way."
"We're here now to watch the F-ZERO race going on." James said. "I got money right now on Jack Levin; so I can't afford to miss this race."
"Bad choice." Samus said. "Everyone knows Captain Falcon usually wins."
"Do you mind if we sit here?" Anthony asked.
Samus placed her hand on her chin, and sighed with annoyance. She eventually gave him a small grin as she wrapped her hair in a ponytail.
"Why not?" She asked. "You already effectively ruined my solitude."
*13 days later*
Robin's hope to get pizza didn't exactly go as well as he had planned. Everyone was arguing over what they should have on the pizza. No one seemed to agree on anything; and when they did, there wasn't enough consensus among them to agree on something.
"Can we please order something?" Raven asked.
"As long as it's vegetarian." Beast Boy said.
"C'mon man…how can you deny me the all meat experience?" Cyborg asked.
"Uhh…I don't know…maybe his powers have something to do with it." Link muttered.
"I suggest a pizza with, chocolate, pickles, and mint ice cream." Starfire said, before giving them an adorable smile. Everyone looked at her with an awkward expression.
"Okay…who agrees here tha Starfire doesn't get to pick the toppings?" Scout asked.
Everyone raised their hands.
"Is something wrong?" She asked.
"Not everything on the menu is a pizza topping." Alma whispered, moving closer to her.
"Oh." Starfire said. She then placed her hand behind her head, smiling awkwardly.
The Titans continued to discuss amongst themselves what they should have on their pizza. Not one of them suspected that they were currently being watched from afar.
"Gizmo to Jinx." A voice said. "Begin phase one."
