Corrine Casterwill's dad died a couple of weeks ago, so today, she finally decided to vent by crying in her room. She could only guess all the sadness she was holding back just finally wanted to pour out of her. But suddenly as she starts, she's interrupted by her mom coming into the room with a box. Corrine hopes it's a box of tissues, but somehow she knows it's not.

"Hey, I want to give you something..." Her mom starts.

"Leave me alone mom!" She said muffled through her pillow, upset she disturbed her vent session. "Let me vent in peace. PLEASE!"

"Oh Corrine." Her mother said sitting down on the bed beside her. "Look, it's important. Your father wanted you to have this." She said handing Corrine the box. She sat up, glaring at her mother for disturbing her. Corrine wiped her eyes and opened the box. Inside, laid a beautiful, very detailed, blue necklace shaped like a diamond.

"A necklace?" She asked confusingly.

"Yes. Your Father said it was passed down from generation to generation until it was in the right descendants hands. He said hopefully, that would be you."

"What do you mean in the right descendants hands?" She asked curiously.

"If you're the chosen one, you'll see." Her mother answered, leaving her alone in the room once again. Corrine stared at the necklace. It was the only thing left to remind her of her father. She wanted to cry all over again.

Corrine went to school the next day. She held her iPad in her hands, watching her favorite cartoon, Yu-gi-oh, along the way. The first episode of season zero, TO BE EXACT.

(IT'S CRAZY THING TO DO IN A NEIGHBORHOOD LIKE HERS! HINT, HINT!)

'I wish I had their life.' Corrine thought, staring at the iPad in her hands. 'I bet life hanging out with these guys would be so cool! They're just so awesome! And they have it SO easy...' She was not looking where she was going. "I wish I could experience what it's like to live there." Suddenly, the necklace she was given started to glow.

Unaware to her, Corrine had turned into an alley, starting to head in another direction towards her school. She then bumped into someone. Corrine still wasn't paying attention as she had her ear buds on. She was too busy to look up from it, as she was too 'into it'.

"Sorry," She said just started to walk by whoever she had bumped into, not really looking, not really caring either. "I didn't see where I was going. I just love this show..." Corrine stated too immersed in the TV show. Suddenly she was punched in the stomach, making her fall on the ground but still keeping a good gasp on her devise. "What the he~" Corrine finally looked up and gasped. She went wide-eyed seeing two boys that were bullies from her school. "Well well well, what do I owe the pleasure guys?"

"Hey Corrine, nice iPad. Can I have it? It would go so good with my new headphones." One boy asked, pointing to the headphones around his neck, Dr. Dre's no less.

'Seriously?' She thought. "Are you kidding me? What a petty reason. NO WAY!"

"Oh is that so..." The other boy said, flipping his cap to the side. Both him and the one with the Mohawk and headphones advanced toward Corrine.

"STEP OFF DUDES! IT'S MINE!" She backed up until she could go no further, her back hitting the wall. "Crap..."

"Then we'll just have to take it by force..." The two boys started hitting and kicking on Corrine. She kept crying, "STOP IT!" and "LEAVE ME ALONE!", even using curse words, but they kept attacking her. Corrine clutched her iPad close to her chest still protecting it from the assault as best she could. But it didn't take long before the iPad slipped out of her hands, falling onto the ground...but did not gain a single crack. Once they were done, Corrine looked horrible. Bruises were all over her. Blood dripped from the side of her head. They even busted her lip.

Corrine swallowed the blood that had crept into her throat, "Didn't your mom ever tell you that you're not suppose to hit a girl. You should be ashamed." Even when she was in trouble, Corrine's 'attitude' never seemed to fade. The teenage boy with the flipped cap pushed harder against the wall, sort of holding her by the hips.

"You should be lucky." He told her, practically purring in her ear, "Because you know..." His eyes scanned up and down her body, "There's so many other guys who would have, in this situation, would've done a whole lot more than just beat you up..." He smirked as his hand slithered around Corrine's waist to grab the other.

"First of all, where are the guys? I only see two boys here." Corrine told him, "But let's say you were a guy. You're telling that you wouldn't, one of "those" guys?" He jolted her as he pulled her closer to him.

"Want me to be?" His smirk widened, "Because you know I can..."

"Enough E Dogg." The boy with the headphones called his friend by his nickname. "Leave da girl alone." He walked over to the iPad, "We'll be taking this now." He said about to take the iPad from her. But as they did, Corrine's necklace shined so bright that she had to cover her eyes, suddenly feeling like she was falling. When the light dimmed, Corrine fell to the ground. Somehow, they were gone.

"Where'd they go?" She asked while trying to get up, but failing miserably.

"Are you okay?!" A boy with multicolored hair suddenly asked her, seeing the blood dripping from her head.

"Good to know they didn't take my iPad." Corrine said, "Now, where is the pause button?" She asked tapping the poor boy's chest, which she thought was the screen.

"Um...what are you doing?"

"Looking for the pause button, but its not appearing. Those bullies must have damaged this thing." She answered too disoriented to understand that the boy was really talking to her.

"Bullies? Pause button?" His big, round, purple eyes filled with curiosity.

"Yeah..." Corrine started coughing. She coughed out blood.

"Oh my god! Are you okay?" The boy asked again holding her shoulders, starting to panic.

"Gotta...find...the...pause...button..." Corrine said before collapsing in his arms.

Corrine woke up on a bed with a strange old man staring at her, so she did what any normal person would do...

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Please calm down you're hurting my eardrums!" The old man shouted. It was only then when she realized who he was.

"Oh god, you scared me. Man, my iPad is really going nuts!" She said tapping the air.

"What are you doing?" The old man asked, but before she could answer, the boy from earlier stood in front of her and answered him instead.

"She looking for some pause button on her iPad, Grandpa."

"Pause Button? iPad?"

"It's just gonna keep playing until I find it, isn't it?" Corinne muttered still tapping the air, but the boy grabbed her hands.

"There's no iPad here." He told her.

"You must be seeing things." The old man added.

"Pfft. No I'm not. How else am I watching...wait were you guys, TALKING. TO ME?!"

"Who else?"

"Yugi and Solomon Muotu...Wait that can't be, I really must be seeing things." Corrine wiped her eyes.

"Nope. Wait, how do you know who we are?"

"You guys are really talking to me. You guys, are really talking to me. Holy crap these guys are really..."

"TALKING TO YOU WE KNOW! NOW WHO ARE YOU?!" Yugi shouted.

"Oh. Uh...Corrine. Corrine Casterwill." Yugi let go.

"Well Corrine, you came here hurt and delusional," Solomon said, Corrine tried not to 'talk back'. "What happened?"

"To be honest, I don't know. It all happened so fast."

"Where do you live? Maybe your parents can help." Yugi suggested.

'If...If I'm really in their universe, then I'm nowhere near my neighborhood.' Corrine thought. "Uh, I guess I'm homeless." She laughed nervously. Corrine sweatdropped as they stared at her.

After a minute of silence, Solomon spoke, "I left some food for you on table. Eat up and get some rest. Yugi, can I speak to you for a moment?" Yugi nodded and they both left the room.

-Outside the room with Yugi and Solomon-

"WHAT?!" Yugi shouted but quickly covered his mouth.

"Yugi, you're always bringing home strays, but she is the worst one I've see so far, and she's homeless! She's gonna live with us from now on."

"WHAT?!" He nearly shouted again.

"Let's see, we'll have to get her some clothes, and get her room set up, you can do that. Oh! And I'll have to enroll her in that school of yours!"

"WHAT?!" He belted out this time not caring.

"Then it's decided. She's staying with us. I've got so much work to do. I better get started!" Solomon said going downstairs.

Yugi watched his grandpa as he rushed downstairs. "What...just...happened?" He whispered to himself. Yugi opened the door to the room Corrine was in and saw her in the bed. He walked over, finding out that she was asleep. 'A girl? Living here? With us?' Yugi thought looking at her sleeping form, then smiled. 'Well...I guess, this is an adventure just waiting to happen.' The baby panda walked back outside the door. He took one last look at her before he closed the door. Yugi practically skipped down the hallway with his baby panda smirk on his face, going to his room...to work on the puzzle...
