Hi guys! I'm back. I really wish I could have given a proper explanation of why I haven't updated frequently, but life has been hectic at both school and my personal life, I can't promise any quick updates but I feel like things has settled down a bit these days. I have one more year of high school/gymnasium, so I will graduate next year. I will continue my story, so please bear with me. Your wonderful comments and encouragements are what keeps me going, honestly, I don't think I would have continued this story if it weren't for your awesome supports! Thank you so much!
I re-read the story and I came to realize that some information might have been confusing or misleading regarding Mitsuki's past such as the rumors from her old school, her life with her aunt and the mentioned of her parents and grandmother. I wanted to clarify that I intentionally wrote it that way and I promise that from now on everything will be answered as the story proceeds. I might as well explain one thing, Mitsuki spent most of her life growing up with an abusive aunt, as you may have noticed, she has been home schooled for most part of her life aside from 8th grade (when she was 14) which happened to be when she met Meroko, she currently is attending school again and is to do so until her graduation under her grandmother's request, much to her aunt's relief and displeasure.
Ps, I decided to change the ages of the character, (also high school is only three years long, this is based on the Japanese education system)
Meroko: 17, second year (previously homeschooled)
Mitsuki: 17, second year
Takuto: 18, second year (held back a year)
Izumi: 18, third year
Thanks for being so patient and had faith in me.
Now on with the story!
The next few days were quite calm, aside from some glares from time to time. The rumors seemed to have decreased too, so far not many threat has been bold enough to be considered dangerous, only empty threats. I wasn't constantly on guard either.
Takuto hasn't mentioned anything from that day either and Meroko didn't remember much from the other night at my place. Honestly that girl, I told her that she shouldn't drink when were not even allowed to, but she kept insisting that it's only a one-time thing. I sure hope so, I'll take her word this time but if she ever drinks again while we're still underage I will personally make sure to give her a piece of my mind. Where had she gotten hold of sake anyways?
However after that night it had me thinking, lots of thinking, in the end I concluded that I shouldn't be anxious and start regaining my life. I decided on starting from scratch. I've finally made my first honest decision in a long time; to do what I want. If I were to part from my friends then I would worry about it when it happened, for now I'll just enjoy my new life. I'm honestly tired of everything.
My friends had immediately noticed the sudden change in my demeanor but didn't question anything so far, I assume it was for the better as I have been more honest.
As I was making my way down the hall to meet up with my friends I bumped into someone, I immediately apologized and as I raised my head up I noticed the purple haired girl from Takuto's fan club. Oh great. I cautiously observed her next moves just in case as I waited for her to speak. The girl did a quick head to toe glance at me before looking back at my face.
"We meet again," she stated, "and I see that you didn't heed the warnings" The glare in her eyes disappears as she heaves a heavy sigh before looking at me almost sympathetically. Almost.
"Look" she sighs yet again as if she was going to explain to a child that the tooth fairy wasn't real. "I don't care who you're friends with but those fan girls take their devotion seriously, it was bad enough that the pink haired girl was around Kira-san, until people started spreading rumors that she and the blond guy was dating. She was shortly after off the hook. But you on the other hand aren't as lucky, you seem very close to Kira-san, as bad as that already is, it wouldn't be wise to involve yourself with him any further"
"I don't really understand why. Takuto is just a normal person. Why are they placing him on a pedestal?" I finally asked the question that had been on my mind for a while. I shifted the weight of my body from one foot to the other as I was waiting for a reply with anticipation.
The girl I yet had to know the name of arched an eyebrow, giving me a look as if to see if I was being serious, she seemed to be debating on what to say. As the silence continued she finally decided to answer my long-waited question. "Kira-san is a rising start, not to long ago some famous CEO heard of his performances at bars and was intrigued by his music, he was offered a job in the showbiz"
Her explanation made sense, I wasn't as surprised as I thought I'd be. Probably because we once sang together, I did notice how talented he was. Who am I kidding, the guy even has his own temporary studio. Now that I think about it, I do recall him mentioning something about being in charge of school festivals and any music related events. "And what happened?"
"I don't know, but I heard that he already had some connections in the idol industry." She shrugged and started to walk past me. "I take it as you're not going to leave Kira-san, so I suggest you to be careful. Your friends may not always be there to help you"
"Why are you telling me all this?"
"Do you always ask this many questions?" she retorted back, stopping in her track as she looked over her shoulder.
"Well it's just that you don't seem to be one of Takuto's fans. No offence"
The girl let out a laugh, that was probably the first time I saw her let loose from her serious façade, or maybe it was her neutral face. "God no! He's my rival" she smirked before turning her head forward.
I wanted to ask her what she meant but, "Can I at least know your name?" I decided that I could talk to her more another time, for now I instead settled for asking her name.
"Wakamatsu Madoka" she replied while proceeding to walk down the opposite direction of where I was heading.
"Thank you Madoka" I smiled although she couldn't see me anymore, I turned around to the opposite direction, my friends were probably wondering where i was.
"Save your thanks for someone else, I only came here to warn you" I heard her reply across the hallway.
"Whatever you say" I whispered, my lips twitching upwards to a smile. For some reason I had a feeling that she was telling me this out of perhaps not friendliness but maybe concern.
Wakamatsu Madoka. I hope we can become friends soon.
