I guess everyone is shocked that I did such a crushing blow by killing Naruto off. Luckily, this is a fanfic and I am sure Naruto hasn't been killed off, yet. I am sure this chapter will be a lot interesting. I might do a mini time skip for for future chapters. It will be to just to speed things along. Now to hear some feedback. Also, to you Frozen fans out there, I am calling it Let it Go as it's about the main theme of this chapter.

Chapter 3: Let it go

Manami wore black to honor a certain shinobi that passed away yesterday. Naruto was that very shinobi. The blonde haired twin remembered seeing her brother's bed being lifted by some movers, due to his death. Little by little his stuff began to vanish away. It was as if she didn't have a brother. However, the memories of him would never go away. The only thing that she kept was a kunai that he had gotten her for her birthday. It was the one of a few nice things he did.

She stood by holding a rose for the would-be ninja. She saw her fellow classmates looking down, knowing Manami wouldn't want to talk to them due to her brother's passing. She looked around for the Hyuga heiress as she didn't see Hinata at all.

She suddenly spotted her. Hinata looked worse that she did. Hinata had just lost one of the best people she ever knew. She had loved him a lot. What if she told him her feelings, would that have stopped him? He claimed no one loved him. Yet, the eyes of the female Hyuga was burning strong with tears. It was a sad day between the two of them.

Manami could feel Hinata's pain. It should have been her that failed and Naruto should have passed. Why wasn't she failed, she messed up about two times? That would have been a call to put her back into the academy. She looked up to her father in who she hated. He could have done more to save him. He acted like the Fourth Hokage instead of a caring father.

They favored her over him. From the moment they were born, she was born having special treatment, while Naruto was the vain in Minato's eyes. Manami couldn't help but feel this overgrown rage against her parents.

She saw her father walking up the stage. She saw mom wasn't looking at Naruto's picture. All his rage invoked in those words

YOU LIED TO ME. EVERYONE LIED TO ME. NO ONE LOVES ME.

"I am sorry I don't have much to say today" he said as Manami looked up at him "My son would have been a great hero, if he had been treated with respect. He followed the wrong path and paid dearly for it. I just wished that I would have done something about it. Thank you for coming"

Manami was shocked. That wasn't a big speech about losing his son; it was just something he made up on the top of his head. The anger in Manami's eyes grew as she couldn't believe that her parents were ignoring Naruto's death as if it never happened.

Manami was training her body endlessly as her mother and father were watching her. It was pouring rain out, but she kept hitting the wood dummy with her leg. Her body was reaching its limits. She had every right to blame herself. She could have been strong enough to see through her brother's pain. Yet, Naruto hated her. Manami knew it was her parents that did this. She collapsed on the floor before she attempted to hit the dummy one last time.

She was the nine tailed fox's jinchuriki. However, the village felt sorrier for her than in fear of her. Their hatred was pushed on Naruto. As if he bared the demon.

It just wasn't fair she thought to herself.

Dinner time wasn't any easier for the Uzumaki-Namikaze family. Minato and Kushina were eating as Manami was just looking at her food when she looked to the left chair that was slowly lacking her brother. She missed his jokes that almost made her choke from laughter.

Minato noticed this and tried to talk to his daughter "Manami your dinner is getting cold. It's not right for you to not eat. A growing ninja has to eat."

"What's the point" She responded harshly

"What was that young lady" Minato looked up using his fatherly voice to enforce his question on his daughter "Be careful of who you talk to"

"I don't know remind me of who am I talking to; my dad or the Fourth Hokage?" She glared at him

"Manami, Minato stop it" Kushina stood up from her chair to stop the dual from fight, yet it was hopeless

"No honey, if she has something to say, then she can say it in front of me" Minato replied

"You want me to say it. Then tell me who was your favorite between me and Naruto" Manami glared at her father.

"I have no favorites" He tried to defend himself

"BULL" his daughter glared "Who took only me to train with you, who took me to your office to learn how a hokage does his job, who took me outside of the village to see all the different lands outside the Konoha."

Minato and Kushina both looked at their daughter. Her rage couldn't be more up roaring than right now.

"You two treated me more special than Naruto" Manami yelled

"That's becauseā€¦" Kushina tried to say something

"Why, is it because I am the daughter of the Hokage, or is it because I am the carrier of the nine Tailed Fox" Manami yelled

"What is this treatment of Mizuki being in a nicer prison, when he should be locked up in another prison" Manami continued remembering that Mizuki was to blame for Naruto's journey to becoming a rouge ninja.

"Manami, Mizuki is a member of the leaf village" Minato said

"It's because of him that Naruto is dead. It is because of you that you are shunning Naruto" Manami looked at the both of them. "It is just like he didn't exist to you two. You should have been better parents to Naruto than me"

"MANAMI UZUMAKI" Kushina glared "Stop this right now. We gave you both the same type of treatment"

"Why, do you want me to stop shouting how I feel? Is it too painful to realize your mistakes? Or is it that you consider your son to be a big embarrassment" Manami looked at her father.

"Maybe I did consider him one, but he should have been a better ninja" Minato told her "You are lucky I gave him thirty chances to prove to me that he was capable. He was doomed from the start"

"Well, you should have been a better father to teach him" Manami spit down at the ground in front of Minato

"You should have been a better sister to look out for him" Minato told her

Her anger couldn't take it anymore. A hard slap sound was heard from within the house. Minato's face had a red mark on it. This was the result that Manami had wanted. It was her hand that made that mark. She glared at her father, and then left out in the rain.

"Manami. We need to go after her, Minato" Kushina said while getting her coat

"Relax, she just needs to cool down and get over Naruto" Minato looked out seeing Manami running down the road. He knew the jounin would find her if she became lost.

XxxX

Manami was eating ramen at the Ramen Ichiraku. It was the one place she knew that would allow her to cool down and contemplate what to do next. Teuchi and his daughter were sad to hear about Naruto's demise. They were the only people that respected him; as a customer and a brother to Manami. She kept looking down at the ramen. She pulled money from her pocket, but Teuchi wouldn't accept it.

"You eat for free tonight" Teuchi pleaded with Manami

"Pleases Teuchi, don't give me any special treatment" Manami looks down "I really don't deserve it"

"Manami, I know your brother passed on, but don't put the blame on yourself. Many ninjas that walk in here, want to forget the comrades they lost. They fight on to preserve the memories of those fallen shinobi. I am not trying to tell you that you should forget about Naruto. Use it as a promise to not let another one of your comrades fall" Teuchi advised her.

She put the coins on the counter and emptied the bowl of ramen. The rain roared as it started to grow heavier than before. She didn't want to go home, but she knew that one of the jounin would take her home. She had one place to stop before then.

XxxX

"Hey bro it's been a while" Manami said looking at the grave that was marked NARUTO UZUMAKI.

She sat down and chuckled as she was drawing back into a memory.

Manami was bored out of her mind when Iruka was talking about the fallen shinobi.

"These shinobi are heroes for the great deeds that they have done during their life time. They believed in the Will of Fire, and that is what made them strong" Iruka announced.

Manami legs were getting worn out. She could have cared less of what Iruka was saying. So, she rested her butt on top of a tombstone.

"MANAMI, get you butt off that tombstone" Naruto shouted "Do you have any respect for the fallen"

"Naruto, they are just a bunch of dead guys" Manami glared "Not like they will serve us in the future"

Naruto glared as he pulled her off the tombstone and pulled her to him.

"Just because they are dead, doesn't mean they shouldn't be respected. The dead can still feel emotion" Naruto glared more as a couple of academy students tackled Naruto for hurting Manami.

"Hey, you kids stop it" Iruka was running over to the group.

"You berated me for that and what you got was a penalty for hurting me. I should have said something, but I was too mad at you for being right. I was at fault, not you" Manami looked at her brother's tombstone.

"Well, tomorrow is my first day, meeting my teammates. I was put on a team with Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. Our sensei is someone named Kakashi Hatake. I am not sure, but I am really scared Naruto. I know I should let you go, but I should have been the one who died" She broke down in front of his tombstone. Her tears couldn't hold it back anymore.

She kept crying until she looked up and smiled. Her tears soon stopped as they turned to determination.

"Teuchi is right; instead of crying like this I will use your death as a lesson. To prevent anyone of my comrade from suffering the same fate, I will become the greatest kunochi the Konoha has ever seen. Watch me bro, I am about to live in your honor" She smiled as she started to make her way home.

Unknown to her, a man in a mask watched over her. Even though he wore the mask, he concealed a grin within it. "All the pieces are moving into place"

XxxX

Well, that was very shocking for this chapter. I am sure Manami will do just fine as she tries to move on with her life.

I wonder who that guy in the mask is. It could be anyone.

Well, I think it goes along saying that, why do Minato and Kushina treat her better? Is it because she is the daughter of the Fourth Hokage, or is it that she is the jinchuriki of the nine tailed fox.

Next chapter will be introducing more on Team Kakashi; just Manami instead of Naruto. So, tell me your thoughts on this chapter and until then see you all later.
