I stood staring at myself in the mirror, twirling around in my wedding dress. My hair was all wrapped up in an intricate bun with my lace Veil carefully draped over it. For once in my life, I felt totally and completely beautiful. My cheeks we're rosy from the excitement and nerves that were bubbling inside of me.

"This is it." I said to myself in the mirror.

"Kyou, the cars are here." Nagisa said as she appeared in the doorway. Her belly was huge now. I had to have her dress altered around eight times just to get it to fit around her bump.

I smiled at her.

"Nagisa, you're my best friend." I said.

"Oh, Kyou." Nagisa smiled sincerely.

"I mean it. You really are."

"You're my best friend." She said as she reached out her hand.

"Let's do this." I said as I linked my hand in her's and the two of us made our way out to the cars.

I had chosen Nagisa, Ryou, Kotomi and Ushio to be my bridesmaids and the five of us had the spent the morning getting ready at mine and Youhei's new house. However, Youhei had spent the night at Tomoya and Nagisa's house. I couldn't wait to see him. I couldn't wait to hold him as my husband.

"Kyou, my beautiful girl." My dad said as I walked outside.

"You look truly stunning." My mum smiled.

"Thank you." I beamed.

"Mum, dad and Kyou you're in this car and all the bridesmaids are in this one." Ryou said. She'd never been bossy like this before. Her confidence had doubled in size since she became a mum.

"Here we go!" My mum sang excitedly as the three of us clambered into the back of the car.

After a short drive we arrived at the idyllic church. It was surrounded by lush trees and a river streaming peacefully around it. It was so serene. I took a deep breath and linked arms with my parents. They were both going to walk me down the isle. I watched as my bridesmaids gracefully walked into the church and disappeared inside. The sound of acoustic guitars filled the air around us.

"Okay, my turn." I said.

"You ready?" My dad asked me.

"Oh yeah." I said.

We began to walk. We walked through the doors and down the isle. Every seat was filled with a smiling face looking back at me. Then our eyes met. There he was. My handsome man. He was dressed in a smart black suit but his dazzling blonde hair was still in it's usual scruffy style. I chuckled to myself a little. He was beaming from ear to ear. I'd never seen him smile so big. I couldn't take my eyes off him. Then, finally I got to him. Finally I was with in touching distance.

"I love you, my baby girl." My dad said to me as he let go of my arm and placed a kiss on my cheek.

"I love you, Kyou." My mum said as she gave my hand one last squeeze before taking her place next to my dad.

I took a step up and was now level with Youhei. He held out a hand and I placed mine inside it, our fingers intertwined.

"You are stunning." He smiled.

"And you handsome." I replied.

My heart was a flutter and any nerves I may have been feeling just floated away. He was the one. There was no doubt in my mind.

The minister began the service. He told us wonderful things, funny things and wished us the best marriage.

"Kyou and Youhei have written their own vows." He said. "Who would like to go first."

Youhei and I looked at each other.

"You go." I said.

"Okay." Youhei said as Tomoya handed him a piece of folded paper. "Kyou, when we met we were both different people. You were bossy and violent and kind of scary."

I laughed.

"And me, well I was a delinquent. A good for nothing. I kind of came to accept the fact that my life was never going to come to anything. But then you and I met again. That sweet little girl brought you back into my life." Youhei said as he pointed at Ushio who was was standing on Nagisa's lap wearing a very excited smile.

He continued.

"You were different. You were open. You were warm. And you shared that warmth with me. You made me feel like I could have something special. And I have that now, with you. So I stand here to day, in front of everyone we know, and I am confessing my undying love for you. I am promising you that I will always keep you warm. I am promising you that I will always tickle your cheeks when you're stressed." He smiled. "I promise you that you are my soul mate and maybe it took us a while to find each other, but some things, some people, truly are worth waiting for. So finally, I promise you I will always be right by your side through the good times and the very rare bad times. Kyou, I love you and I'm so excited to see where this wonderful life we have together take us."

Tears began to fall down my cheeks and a smile the size of the moon spread across my face. I was speechless.

"You're turn." He winked.

"Right, yes. Um..." I shook myself together and began to recite my vows. "Youhei, my life was confusing for a long time. I didn't know what I was doing and each decision I made seemed to be a bad one. But then one day Ushio showed up at my door and there you were stood behind her. I have to admit my heart stopped the moment I saw you. I wondered, should I invite him inside? So I did. I invited you in and you know what? It was the best decision I've ever made. Because that little visit you paid me started us off on this incredible journey together. You made me feel so loved when I thought I wasn't worth loving. You made me smile when I had lost all reason to. You made me complete. So I promise to always try to make you smile. I promise to always make you feel loved. I promise that we will walk this long road together because I can't, even for a second, imagine walking it with out you. You are the best of me, Youhei Sunohara. I love you and I promise to be right by your side through the good times and the very rare bad times."

We stared lovingly into each others eyes as our friends and family tearfully watched on.

"Beautiful Vows. I am honoured to now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may now kiss your bride." The minister said.

"At last." Youhei smiled as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I cupped his cheeks in my hands and slowly pulled him in for the long awaited kiss. My heart exploded as our lips connected. Finally everything was exactly as it was supposed to be.

Our friends and family roared with cheers as they all stood and began to clap for us as we finished our kiss.

"Our first kiss as husband and wife." I smiled.

"Well, dear wife of mine, would you care to walk down the isle with me?" Youhei asked.

"I thought you'd never ask." I laughed. We held each others hand and made our way down the isle as our friends and family sprinkled confetti over us with every step we took.

His arms were around my waist, my arms were draped over his shoulders and his head was rested on top of mine. We swayed back and forth in the sand as the moon shone like a spotlight over us. Youhei was playing our favourite song through the speakers on his phone as we danced together along the shore. The wedding was over, the guests had gone home but we just kept dancing. Neither of us wanted this to ever to end.

"Misses Sunohara." I whispered.

"It sounds nice, doesn't it." Youhei said.

"I kind of like it." I smiled.

"Me too." Youhei said before kissing me sweetly. "Lets get in the water." He said.

"Really?"

"Yeah, lets just float into the horizon." He said.

"That's crazy."

"So, lets be crazy." He grinned. I thought for a second.

"Okay, lets be crazy." I said. Youhei shrugged out of his blazer, unbuttoned his shirt and kicked off his shoes. I untied my dress and let it slide down my body and into the sand. We both stood there, breathing deeply, in our underwear.

"Ready?" He asked, extending a hand for me to hold.

"As I'll ever be." I said. So we ran in the ocean hand in hand laughing and squealing at the cold. We kicked up throffy beads of water all around us as we ran deeper and deeper. We ran through the waves until our feet no longer reached the sand below. We were floating, side by side, in to the horizon. Youhei pulled me close and brushed my hair away from my face.

"I can't believe it." He said as he stared at me in the moonlight. His hair was dripping down his face and his damp skin was glowing from the reflection of the moon in the water.

"What?" I asked.

"I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with you."

"I know. I'm so happy." I said as I gently raised a hand to his face.

"This is it, Kyou. This adventure has only just begun."
