Jack adjusted his teal colored tie and stared at his reflection in the mirror. His mom had already attempted to smooth his spiky hair but it just kept popping up all over the place and so they all just gave up and let Jack keep his hair the way he usually did. Hiccup was next to him wearing the same suit but with a light purple tie. He kept having to pull up his pants a little due to his fluctuating weight. Hiccup still had moments where he went days without eating much so he and Jack decided to try working out together, per their psychologist's instructions.

They both heard giggling and of course Merida and Punzie waltzed in, Punzie wearing a beautiful lilac flower girl dress and Merida a teal one. Jack picked up Punzie to hold her to him.

"Jack!" she whined with a smile, "don't mess up my dress!"

Jack merely blew a raspberry onto her cheek, making her giggle.

Hiccup bent down to help Merida fix her hair bows and smiled at her softly, "You look beautiful Mer."

Merida actually took the compliment, knowing the look in her brother's eyes was sincere, "You're beautiful too Hiccup!"

Hiccup laughed and hugged her, "I'm sorry I don't get more moments like this with you."

She hugged him and a part of him wished for the old days when he took her to ballet lessons and sat at the dinner table with her, tossing little bits of corn into her hair to piss her off a little. Maybe he needed to just take some time over the summer to do those things again with her and his brothers. The way Jack just held Punzie with such love made him almost envious. He loved his siblings and he loved his parents. He lost his dad but he still had so many people in his life that he loved. And today was a special day.

Gwen came in then looking incredible in her wedding gown. It was fitted perfectly for her with a gathered waist held together with a studded brooch. Her thin straps had been added to give the gown a little more shine since they were diamond studded to match the brooch. Her hair had been done up in a braided bun on the side of her head with two beautiful white roses to symbolize her two children.

Punzie and Merida stared in awe at her. Jack could only smile proudly as she came towards her kids.

"You all look so wonderful." She smiled.

Jack had never seen her look so beautiful and so happy, it made him feel complete somehow.

Hiccup walked over holding Merida's hand.

Gwen sighed and looked at the group, "I actually decided to change things up a bit everyone."

Jack raised his eyebrows.

"Jack I know you and Hiccup were going to walk down together but…I want you to be the one to give me away."

Jack's jaw dropped, "Really?"

Gwen nodded and smiled, holding his face in her hands, "Not going to lie I just realized how I'm so not ready to see you walk down the aisle yet with the person you love...not yet."

Hiccup grinned at Jack and nodded to him, "It's a big honor, Jack."

"Of course I'll walk you down the aisle Mom." He said, ready to cry.

Gwen turned to Punzie and held her hand, "My beautiful little girl."

"Not as beautiful as you Mama." Punzie said proudly.

Gwen laughed and turned to hold out her hand to Hiccup and Merida, "You two are like my children too, now get in here for a hug."

Hiccup obliged and came closer.

"I want all of you to know how proud I am of you…how much I love you all." Gwen said softly.

They heard a knock on the door and knew it was time.

"Okay girls, get ready." Gwen said as she wiped her eyes. Jack helped make sure no mascara was running down her face.

They all marched towards the chapel, waiting their turn to be walked down the aisle. Jack quickly made sure the ring was in his pocket and sighed with relief.

Hiccup helped make sure the girls were in position and then walked over to Jack to adjust his tie while a couple of wedding planners were making sure that Gwen's gown and hair were picture perfect.

Jack smiled at Hiccup, "Hey."

Hiccup looked up at him.

"I love you." Jack whispered quickly.

Hiccup grinned back, stealing a quick kiss, "I hope the next wedding we're in will be ours."

Jack nodded and then realized what Hiccup was saying to him. Hiccup wanted to marry him.

As Hiccup moved to position himself behind the girls and the doors opened Jack yelled defensively without thinking, "No fair! I was gonna ask you to marry me!"

Gwen rolled her eyes and the girls giggled as the music started.

Hiccup had to keep from cracking up as he walked through the chapel in time to the music.

Gwen wrapped her arm around Jack and Jack momentarily forgot his annoyance at his boyfriend for one upping him. Today was for his mother anyways.

He smiled at her and could see how much she glowed. Once the candles and soft lighting of the chapel fell on her she looked just like an angel. Jack looked up ahead and the way Max stared at Gwen was just the way Jack stared at Hiccup; he truly loved her.

Jack gave her hand to Max's who winked at him. Jack went to stand next to Hiccup and realized there was a mistake on placement up at the front. The two girls were by his mother but Jack and Hiccup were with Max, meaning no one was making sure the girls behaved. Already they were throwing extra flower petals at one another.

Jack grunted and walked over nonchalantly to stand with them. He was hoping not to separate them but when Merida began giggling loudly and trying to twirl her basket, Hiccup had to drag her to his side. She did not go without a momentary fight but no one seemed to notice or care luckily once Elinor cleared her throat and glared at her. After that, the ceremony went perfectly and Jack got to walk with Hiccup after his mother and new father. He squeezed Hiccup's hand and smiled at him. He took that moment to realize that Hiccup was not wearing his ring. Jack almost asked him what happened to it when he saw Hiccup had moved the ring to his left hand on his ring finger. Jack caught his eye as they left the chapel.

Hiccup pulled him off to the side while everyone began to gather out of the chapel and go towards the reception. Jack knew they were needed for pictures but Hiccup was looking seriously at Jack as he got down on one knee, taking Jack's ring off of his right hand. Without a word Hiccup moved the ring to Jack's left hand. Jack swallowed and nodded.

Hiccup smiled when he got up and Jack couldn't resist pulling him in for a kiss.

Epilogue

3 years later

Jack collapsed onto the couch he'd gotten at a discount at the furniture store. He stared in dismay at all the boxes they'd yet to unpack. Hiccup was finishing putting his books away and Jack couldn't help but smile at how much of a nerd he was.

His Hiccup was a proud graduate of Changewing University and would be starting at his dad's company as a leading technician next week. Jack had graduated as well but had taken a job at a local record store and taught guitar lessons to little kids on the side. Now both had decided to move in together and finally plan for their wedding. Their state had approved the marriage of gay people so they decided to hurry that process up before anyone changed their minds.

Jack continued staring at Hiccup until Hiccup looked up and smiled back, "You could help me you know."

Jack merely crooked his finger, "You. Here."

"So demanding." Hiccup grumbled as he got up and walked over to straddle his lazy boyfriend. Both were rather sweaty from the move but didn't seem to mind as they cuddled on the couch, admiring their messy apartment.

"I can't believe it." Hiccup sighed.

"I know." Jack sighed back, "A thousand books and only two shelves."

Hiccup chuckled and tapped Jack's chest lightly at the comment.

Jack took his hand and kissed it gently.

Hiccup for once was feeling a little more frisky than usual; blame it on giddiness from the move. He moved up to kiss Jack and grind his hips into him. Jack moaned, getting the hint and grabbed Hiccup's waist, "Ready to christen the apartment, huh?" he teased.

Hiccup merely grinned and bent down to kiss Jack again, who suddenly seemed to forget they were on a couch when he rolled to the side, accidentally toppling them over onto the floor and knock some boxes over.

Hiccup laughed and Jack shook his head in annoyance, "Remind me again why I bought this thing?"

"You know it's not just used for sex." Hiccup laughed.

Jack sat up and noticed something by Hiccup's head. He picked up what looked like some crappy book made by a fourth grader. He looked at the cover and realized that he was actually dead on. It was a little book made by their sister's when they were younger.

"What's that?" Hiccup asked, sitting up.

Jack grinned, "Mer and Punzie's book…they made it for us."

"When?" Hiccup asked, looking at it, "Holy crap! This was when they were like…still in elementary school and playing with Barbies!"

"They still do." Jack joked. Merida and Punzie had grown up and were in middle school worrying about boys and makeup now.

Jack looked cover and smiled at the rather odd hodgepodge of Punzie's artistic skills mixed with Merida's. They'd attempted to draw Jack and Hiccup as well as themselves and an odd creature that Jack guessed was Toothless.

"Hey! They drew you Bud!" Hiccup laughed as he looked over to see his snoozing dog by the bedroom door.

Jack opened the book and read aloud to Hiccup, "To our stupid brothers who we love. Read it when you are going to get married, love Merida and Punzie."

"Wow, they're sweet." Hiccup snorted.

Jack turned the page and then began to read as Hiccup curled into him:

Once upon a time there were two little girls named Merida and Punzie.

Punzie and Merida were not friends. Merida picked on Punzie during karate class and Punzie would bite her.

So Punzie ran to her rather dashing heartthrob of a brother for help and he told her that she should turn into a ninja and take out the crazy little red headed girl.

However, Merida has this older brother who's beautiful and majestic and he decides to teach her archery. But he sucked at it so the girl learned on her own instead.

The girls found out that they have to compete in karate class. The brother's came and were late too. But they made it in time. The girls fought but that's when…they saw each other…the two older brothers did, not the girls.

It was love at first sight! And once they saw one another they realized that they couldn't let their sisters fight because then one of them would have to be at a funeral on Saturday instead of going on a date. So they put a stop to the fight and decided to arm wrestle and then kiss.

They fought many battles together, were apart for a while, and sometimes things happened to make them very sad. But they stayed together.

They grew more and more in love until one day they decided to get married and let their sisters be in the wedding of their dreams and live happily ever after with Hiccup's dog in their smelly apartment on Zippleback Street. The End.

Jack closed the book and Hiccup smiled, "I think they're trying to tell us something."

"Nothing we don't already know." Jack laughed as he put the book on the coffee table, "Except we live on 4th Street."

"True…" Hiccup nodded, "But to be honest…I never looked at our love story through their eyes before…it's actually kind of…amazing really."

"Yeah." Jack nodded, looking down at Hiccup, "It is."

They linked their fingers together and Jack propped the book up for a special place on the coffee table. He decided that if times got rough, and he knew that they would, they would want this reminder of how far they'd come and how far they'd go; to the end together.
