Just a little something I came up with.
Enjoy.

P.S.- I do not own Fire Emblem.
Once.
Just once.
Only one time did she ever hear the words leave her mother's lips.
"I love you."
It had only happened once, but it was enough.
From a very young and tender age, Noire knew that, as far as mothers went, Tharja was... Unique, to put it kindly. She spent most of her day either throwing around hexes like it was going out of style, or hunched over her sinister-looking notebook, plotting this, or scheming that.
Typical behavior, as her father, Gaius had put it.
And even more typical than that, was Noire herself getting cursed by her own mother.
But after that day, she could put up with the runny noses, the pains and aches, and the insatiable cravings for asparagus (don't ask).
She could have taken a thousand curses, at once, on that day.
She hasn't heard her say it since that day...
But she knew it, and that's what mattered.
"I love you."
Just once...
And once was most definitely enough for Noire.
Touching, yes?
Please review.
Sincerely,
