Annabell sat at the table with her fingers crossed over her lap, her eyes narrowed at Loki. He smirked at her, but she would not sway her eyes as she kept the gaze locked on him. He should have looked away but she knew better. He was not about to let her win this stare down. Her fingers tightened around each other as she tensed her body.

"I despise you as of this moment." She huffed before she broke the gaze and looked down to the glass of liquid before her. It looked like someone threw mud into a mug and watered it down with vinegar. Actually, it looked and smelled like it as she poked at the liquid with her finger. It bounced back from her touch and the brunette shot up a look at Loki.

"We are not leaving this table till you drink it. It's good for child baring." He grinned with such a giddiness that reminded her of her children. The kids she taught who were supremely excited that she was pregnant. They wanted to feel her tummy, despite it not having anything for them to feel. They came up with a huge list of names for her and they were even making crafts for the child, like soft toys and decorations for its crib.

"It smells like what I imagine diarrhea taste like." Annabell snarled.

"You want this child to be strong in the womb, be protected from all harm no matter what?" Loki stated with a bored glance.

"You know I do." That's when he stood to stand beside her. A soft hand on her back then one to her nose, he closed it and nodded to her.

"Then drink it," And with that, she knocked the liquid back and tried not to gag the whole way down her esophagus. She could feel it tickle her flesh and lick at her insides as it traveled down her throat and into her organs. Despite how disgusting it felt and smelt, it had no flavor. It was like drinking wet, plain bread. It was bland to her tongue, but the feeling was enough to make her want to vomit it back up. Finally settled in her body, she could feel it already going to work.

"Better?" Loki let go of her nose and she grimaced.

"I feel like you force fed me mud." She grumbled as she rubbed her mouth. Then he handed her a cup of what smelt like mead. "And now you're trying to kill the child with alcohol."

"It's not normal mead, all asgardian women drink it when pregnant. Makes the morning sickness better." He soothed as she took it. It tasted like salted caramel and tart apples, it had its sweetness and salt and sour, but went down smooth like mead should. It covered the stench in her nose from the dark mud he forced her to drink. "Better?"

She looked up to him and slowly stood. Then she yanked him by the robes over his chest and brought him to her lips. The table instantly cleared of the glasses, she was shoved up against the table, in the most kind way that Loki was capable. He settled between her thighs as she put one hand on the table to steady herself and the other was buried in the hair at the back of his neck. It had grown longer than before and to be honest, she liked it. Not that she didn't mind is short, but here… she could tug it. Which she did and he growled happily into their intense kiss.

His mouth devoured her air and his sharp inhale of air through his nose brought a shiver down her spine and into her navel. Hands wrapped around her began to pull back and push back the gown on her shoulders as his hips ground up against her pelvis and core.

Annabell gasped for air and broke their kiss as she began to trail kisses down his chin to his throat. There was a throaty noise from his end that she enjoyed to no end as his hands found her breasts. His fingers were already well on their way to making her wet with pinches and soft touches to make up for them when there was a coughing sound. Annabell sighed as she rested her forehead against his shoulder. Loki chuckled but pulled her gown right up her shoulders and clasped it back as it had been before he turned and exposed them.

"I hope I'm not interrupting something." Thor murmured with a giant, smug look on his face.

"Nothing too important," Annabell teased as she shot Loki a smirk. He glowered at her and went to yank her back towards him when she shoved herself from the table and took a few steps away from him.

"Haven't you two joined together enough… wouldn't want a second child in there, now would we." Thor teased and Annabell rolled her eyes.

"Not… exactly how that works, Thor." She grimaced but sighed. "What's brought you here, Thor, haven't you seen Loki's face enough?" Annabell smiled as she reached back and took Loki's hand. She had the day off from teaching, and when she wasn't in the classroom, she was being paraded back and forth on Queen Frigga's orders 'for her health'. Mostly she believed they were testing to see what Loki would do with freedom and the possibility of a child. So far, he held his tongue, sat on his fingers, and waited patiently. Like a good little god of mischief, he waited. Annabell could feel it, he was waiting for something but she couldn't figure it out.

"Mother thought the four of us should go to the harvest festivities together, to show our unity on the birth of your unborn." Thor stated with a giant smile. Annabell grimaced as she looked to Loki, then to Thor. The last thing she wanted was to walk the streets, paraded like an object of hatred for everyone to see . Look, they'll say, at the soon to be wife of the traitor. Annabell loved Loki, she would do anything for him, but she didn't want to be poked at like a bear in a cage.

"I don't think that would benefit anyone, Thor." Loki excused as he ran an arm around Annabell's torso. Her hip brought to him close so he could look to Thor but hold her close, she felt the warmth fill her as he defended her. "You and mother should already know what will come of that." Loki added.

"It was just a thought, should you decide to do so, Mother and I are leaving at dusk. The lights alone will be beautiful." Thor tossed to the wind as he turned from them. "Carry on with your love making, brother and Annabell."

The library doors shut and suddenly they were encased in the silence of the room.

"He's trying to pull our leg." Annabell huffed. "He wants us to go."

"He's smoother than before, I will give him that. But Thor is trying to force feed us his ideas, without actually doing it." Loki rolled his eyes as he fully turned to Annabell. "What do you want?" He asked.

Annabell furrowed her brows as she looked at him. Then her lips twisted up as she flicked him hard on the nose. He recoiled as she sauntered away. "I won't be played with like your brother is trying to do, Husband to be." She called over her shoulder.

Just as she was a few steps away, a hand wrapped around her and wheeled her back around. A girlish giggle fell from her lip as he nearly tossed her to one of the fainting couches within the library and he was there ontop of her. Annabell looked up at the dark haired prince before her and her heart suddenly hurt. She had cried over him, she had felt betrayed, she had felt stabbed in the back, all by him. Annabell's hand slowly slipped up to cup his cheek as she looked to him.

"I want to be your partner, Loki. We're in this… whatever it is… together." She whispered slowly as she lay down flat below him. Loki smirked as he placed a chaste kiss to her lips then leaned down to her ear.

"I haven't come up with a plan yet, I'm just holding onto time while I have it." He pressed a kiss against her ear, "But it involves you and I… leaving here." He pulled back. Maybe to test her reaction. Maybe to determine how trustworthy she was. There was a new darkness in her that he saw the day she came down to visit him. There was a broken shard of her heart that grew black and disgusting. It damaged her from the inside and he could see she was just like he was. She just needed a little push.

"Wherever you go, I'll be there by your side." She stated with a soft sigh, "I can't have my child fatherless, now can I?" She smirked at him as he cupped her cheek with one hand.

"I'm sorry to break this… Touching… moment up!" There were three fingers, the color of purple glitter in front of her face. Before Annabell could react, Loki was yanked off her and she had her hand on one of the many blades she kept on her now. With a reach she didn't know she had, she swung around at the creature and pierced it right through the arm. Annabell expected Loki to jump up and decapitate the beast… but he stood there, as if terrified of what was before him.

"Loki?" Annabell shot to her feet from the other side of the couch.

"We told you… no matter what rock you hid under… we'd find you…"

Author's notes: ...AND...I'm so so sosososososososososo sorry that this took over four months to update. Damn! I'm so sorry. A whole lot of things went into my disappearance from this fic. But I'm back into writing, and as you've seen I've been writing my HP fanfic again and I've got a hobbit one up that I'm playing with. Sorry this is a little short, but I figured it was worth more than no update at all...
