After nearly a week, I haven't updated. My mother took away my computer so I had no way of posting it. This is the final chapter of Baby's First. I hope you all enjoy it and thank you so much for all the reviews. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own Makoto, Kisara, Naoko, Jirou and Izayoi.

"What is that horrible sound?" Villagers gathered outside of the elder miko's home. Collective gasps echoed the village as a hush whisper overcame everyone around the small village. Kaede soon lifted the door flap of her home, exiting when she heard all the commotion. The elder woman was preparing her bedding when all of a sudden she heard the voices and few cries of children outside.

"Now what is going-" She stopped from her sentence, gazing at the dark sky when she felt the mysterious and dangerous sense of youki in the area. It didn't not bode well with her senses and she felt her spiritual powers rising to place a barrier around the village in protection.

"Kaede-sama, what is occurring?" Naoko walked out, rubbing her tired eyes from exhaustion from the daily work that happened that day. She relaxed for a while at Kagome's home, but she finally let sleep claim her when she arrived at the hut where she slept in.

"Child, can ye smell a dragon?" Kaede questioned, her one good eye locked in the outskirts of the village. The sensation of darkness crept around the village that made her on edge with the way the villagers seemed to not be troubled at all.

Naoko's sleep deprived eyes rose up to look at the obscure clouding near the edge of the forest. "Kaede-sama, I do smell a dragon…it reeks of malice."

"So ye say," the elder miko muttered under her breath. She turned to face the village men whom were telling their wives to stay inside their homes. "We have a dragon near our village. It is best to have all of the children and young woman away until Inuyasha and Kagome could defeat it."

Naoko shook her head, realizing what the elder miko had said and she had witnessed the transformation earlier. "Kaede-sama, but Inuyasha-sama is…there is no moon tonight," she whispered the last part to not let the secret out and let the villagers know of his human night.

Kaede opened her mouth when she heard the half-demon child murmur the words softly. "Oh my…"

The shoji door of a hut opened and out walked Miroku holding his shakujō staff in his right hand, his navy eyes glaring at the darkened moonless sky. He sensed the presence of two demonic auras in the clearing where his long-time friends lived.

"Miroku, what is going on?" The monk heard his wife ask and turned around to meet her questioning gaze. Sango's head was turned towards the forest where she felt a strange sensation occurring from the direction. Soon they heard the outcry of the demon, its loud roar had caused their children to rouse from their peaceful slumber and cry out for their parents.

Sango turned around to feel little hands clutching her side and small arms encircling around her waist. Her two youngest, Mikio and Shako, gazed up at her with tear-filled eyes. Instantly she hugged them close to relieve the fright they had. The oldest children of the family were standing behind their mother for protection.

Miroku placed a hand on his older sons shoulders. "Papa, what is that?" Keiji questioned while pointing at a figure in the distance that rose over the trees, however, it was dark so only its silhouette was seen. The boy moved his black long hair out of the way to get a better look but it didn't help at all.

"A demon, son," Miroku retorted and faced his wife who replied back with a nod. He gazed at his children with a hard stare that made them realize of his worry. "We must get you to Kaede-sama's hut, she will be guarding the other villagers while we go to your Oba-san and Oji-san."

The younger twins shook their head in protest, not wanting to be separated from their parents if anything were to take a wrong turn for the worse.

"Miroku, I will get the children to Kaede-sama, you go to Kagome-chan and Inuyasha," Sango said, taking her children towards the path which led to Kaede's hut. Her brown eyes narrowed as she stared at the clouds gathering in the horizon but trailed around, searching for something that should have been seen in the sky. "Kami-sama…" She whispered with horror. "Miroku it is a moonless night!"

The monk held his shakujō staff, his fingers tightening around the metal pole. He didn't like the looks and feeling of the ominous presence in the air that came with this evening.

"Hurry now," He shouted to his wife and she hastily gathered their children. Keiji was having a difficult time parting with his father as the young boy did not release his father's robes when his mother had told him to let go. Miroku placed a hand on his son's head,"I will be fine, go with your mother. I will see you soon."

Hesitantly, Keiji let go and scurried over to where his siblings were and followed their mother to the elder miko's home. He glanced over his shoulder to see his father running down the path towards his cousins' hut. "Otou-san…"

Golden eyes widened with shock as the dog-demon that stood before him began to take its true form, Makoto didn't realize that he hasn't made a movement until heard the wooden ceiling above him crack.

Fear clouded his eyes when he couldn't see as much in his human form than in his half-demon form. His body trembled when the teeth of the dog-demon grew in size, red eyes glared in his direction and flickered over to where his siblings laid.

Suddenly he was pulled by his night kosode and came face to face with his father. "Chi-" He couldn't finish his sentence when he locked eyes with his mother and dashed to her. Kagome opened her mouth to speak to her little boy but was cut off by Inuyasha. "Get on out of here Kagome! I'm getting the pups!" He yelled. Inuyasha moved the sleeves of his kosode to cover his eyes and disappeared into the room.

"Chichiue!" Makoto desperately clamored, his hand reaching forwards to stop him. His mother took his waist, preventing him from moving to help his father at all costs. As much as he tried, escaping her hold was futile. She soon led them through the small hall that connected the rooms. In the corner of his eyes, Makoto moved his hand to hold the hilt sword made by one of his father's fangs that was given to him on his fifth birthday. A small smile of happiness crept on his face when he noticed another figure emerge from the corner of the hall, following quickly behind them.

Inuyasha held two wailing bundles in his arms as he hurried out of the hut and watched his footing to make sure he wouldn't stumble and fall over. "Inuyasha." he heard Kagome whisper as they stood outside their home. The older hanyō turned around to gaze at his home. The side where the twins nursery was, was completed destroyed and in its place a four-legged full dog-demon stood growling in their presence, but soon the true form of InuKimi had transformed to her humanoid form.

To their left another demon stood, standing still and just staring down at the family with its pure black eyes. The demon ran its tongue along the bottom of what Kagome thought must have been his mouth. The action provoked her daughter to shiver and bury her face for several moments and glance up towards her father. Kagome moved her children near and narrowed her eyes at the demon. She didn't feel right with the unsettling feeling in her stomach.

She knew the situation was horrific, her husband didn't stand a chance against any of the demons that were in the clearing of their home. The tetsusaiga wouldn't transform on this night either.

"Mama," Kisara buried her face into her mother's clothing. Her hands curling the fabric into her palm, eyes blinked widely when the wind started to pick up unexpectedly. "I'm scared." The young half-demon admitted with a whisper. As much as she hated saying such a thing, she couldn't help but let the words escape from her. Fear wasn't an emotion she truly felt until this moment.

"Don't worry sweetie," Kagome retorted, brushing a lock away from her daughter's eyes and stared back up at the demon that had moved only a foot towards them.

"I see that you were correct over the half-breed." The demon had stated loudly and chuckled right after. "I wonder how you will feel to have one of your brats slain with my claws." The demon lowered its head down just so that Inuyasha would be able to see who his opponent was.

HowInuyasha thought with alarm at the enemy before him, he looked exactly like that dragon demon he battled with nine years ago in their journey for searching the jewel shards. He reached for the hilt of his tetsusaiga, thankful for always placing it near the bedside. If only the demons awaited until morning, he could have wiped them out with the kaze no kizu.

"Now you know who I resemble, don't you half-breed?" The dragon raised its neck upwards, his tail rising behind him in a point to strike down. "I will kill you last and you'll suffer what I had gone through when horrid news reached me to hear that my one and only son had passed, much less killed by a filthy hanyō! A demon and human abomination!" The dragon roared in anger, his dark eyes let a spark of red flash its way in the middle where the pupil would be.

Inuyasha shuffled back to where his wife stood, placing Izayoi and Jirou into her arms. Kagome held their infants and watched him walk in front them. Inuyasha made an inhuman growl in the back of his throat. The dragon wouldn't lay a hand on them, it would be over his dead body before he'd let even a feather-light touch of a swish of a tail near his loved ones.

"Kagome, I need you all to leave, go to Sango n' Miroku. You're safest there with 'em. It is too dangerous and I don't want the pups to be here anymore." Inuyasha threw his arm back, making a somewhat barrier with his appendage incase any harm were to be inflicted on his loved ones.

The young mother looked in his way, her expression laced with horror and disbelief. He couldn't possibly not want help, he was surely outnumbered and for the time being, outmatched. "Inuyasha, I can't lea-" She stopped abruptly by the look in his eyes when he turned his head to gaze at her. His eyes wide and revealing to all those who would see concern and worry in them. "I want you out of here! Get our children to safety, forget about me. I can take care of 'em."

The hold that his mother had on him loosened and taking that opportunity Makoto ran forth to his father. Once reaching the older half-demon he began to pull his hakama to get his father's attention. "Papa, please we can help! I don't want to leave you. We can help!" He argued, repeating the words over and over. No matter how many times the young pup restated his words, it didn't matter to Inuyasha, he didn't want his family involved.

Inuyasha kept an eye on both the dog-demon and the dragon demon, his eyes glaring at both of them when his son began begging him to let them stay. "Makoto leave with your mother." He commanded with a loud tone in his voice. He hadn't spoken to his son in such a harsh and quick manner, but he wanted to protect them and dammit, he was going to do just that.

"But-" The young half-demon began to say. "No 'but's', I want you to go, now. Do not argue with me." He heard his father say.

Kisara was holding up a barrier around her mother and younger siblings, her forehead started to sweat from the strain of reiki that she rarely used. Makoto bowed his head in submission,"Okay." Before he quickly ran into the protective circle his sister had made, he hugged his father tightly.

Putting his one of his hands in the air, Makoto concentrated on creating the barrier even stronger than his sister was use to.

"I wouldn't dare leave a foot from here!" InuKimi bellowed. She had them right where she needed them and she didn't want them to escape from her line of view. She'd be damned if they got away in such a delicate time. Truth be told that she didn't know that tonight was their night of weakness, she had heard such information from other lords that encountered half-demons in their weaken state.

"Your fight is with me!" Inuyasha shouted, unsheathing his untransformed tetsusaiga. He noticed the female dog-demon heading towards his family and side stepped to stop her mid-way.

InuKimi stopped feet away from the hanyō, golden eyes glaring hatefully in his direction. She noticed one day that Nishiyo watched over him as a child once, helping him by seeking out food when the winter arrived or during the other seasons. He was the reason why Toga had passed, his mother was the reason why he never did fall in love with her. Damn human wenches, damn Nishiyo for saying that it was only his curiosity over the humans, damn it all.

"Akuhei, take care of the half-demon's family!" She shouted in the direction of the dragon who chuckled with amusement. "It'll be my pleasure," Akuhei retorted and hurled his tail downwards where Inuyasha stood to stop him from advancing.

If he had his demonic speed, he would have seen the dragon demon moving to hit him. However, he noticed the tail and managed to jump away in the last minute, but the aftershock had caused him to fly away from his family. The ground cracked up and chunks of rocks flew here and there, several pebbles hitting Inuyasha's head. As if he were 'osuwari-ed' onto the ground in a clumsy like manner, Inuyasha lifted his head up to stare at his family. Although from what he gathered from his face-planted position, a flash of blue and green was glowing brightly feet away, the barrier was still protecting his family and had shocked Akuhei with the purifying power when the dragon attempted to hit it.

With a shrilling growl and then a roar, the dragon demon reeled back, its neck towering over the small family. Kisara trembled and her concentration was starting to lessen when the barrier started to flick various times."Damn you, insolent brats!" Akuhei hollered and turned his eyes towards the small group that was huddled inside the protected shield. He sent his tail down to strike but the collision upon striking it injured his tail which had burned in the process.

Inuyasha used his tetsusaiga to stand up back again, his back ached at the impact where it contacted the ground. He heard the wailing cries of his infants and his eyes widened with alarm. He noticed that the dragon demon slammed his tail repeatedly while ignoring the pain inflicted by the purity of the shield.

Kagome held her wailing infants tighter to her as Makoto and Kisara struggled with holding the barrier in place. Her eyes searching for Inuyasha as the dust cloud dispersed.

In a quick swift movement, a staff was shot towards the tip of the dragon's tail and was successfully cut apart, the shakujō staff embedding itself into the ground as it fell downwards. It held the end point of the dragon's tail and soon the spiritual power surrounding the metal pole disintegrated the piece of flesh. The younger half-demons closed their eyes when they noticed the tail's end fall onto the ground and move restlessly on the forest floor before turning to ash.

"Kagome-sama! Inuyasha!" A familiar voice rang out and tumbling out of the forest came Miroku with various ofudas in his other hand. Promptly, the monk tossed many of his sacred sutras when the dragon lashed out towards him. The ofudas latched on the dragon's scales and cracks of electricity surrounded the demon, and immediately held in place.

This fight seemed way too easy from the father of the dragon that had fatally injured the Inu no Taisho two centuries ago. For he only smirked and opened his mouth, revealing rows of teeth that were about a feet long. Akuhei turned his attention to the monk with purple robes and closed his mouth, the muscles in his jaws clenching when realizing how many beings had reiki in them.

A whizzing noise reached his ears and barreling bone boomerang came crashing out of the trees, breaking the branches and scratching the bark of the edges of wood. "Miroku!" Sango's voice rang and dashed out of the forest and catching the strap when her mighty weapon rebounded towards her.

The taijiya ran to her husband's side with a smile, letting him rest easy knowing that their children were safe and sound with Kaede. Her eyes then glared upwards at the moment the taijiya noticed another demon floating just above the barrier where she saw Kagome and her children inside of. Reeling her hand back and flicking hiraikotsu from her grasp and letting it spin in the direction of the dog-demon at the same time she noticed the demoness turn her attention towards her half-demon friend.

A spark of fury raged in InuKimi's eyes when the weapon halted her movements, cutting her short from her assault. "Human wretch, you will regret throwing that weapon at me!" Her hand came up to her face, the tips of her claws pointed dangerously in her way then glowed a dark green color.

The bone boomerang came spinning around back again returning to the owner and making the demoness swiftly turn to the side to avoid being cut in half. InuKimi watched as the taijiya caught it with ease, hauling it over in front of her body to create a protective shield when she flicked her wrist to let the poison whip whisk in where she stood.

With Akuhei frozen in place by his sutras, Miroku turned his attention on the dog-demoness and walked to stand beside his wife. Now the odds were against her, with a demon taijiya and a monk fighting her, and her fighting companion frozen in place, InuKimi growled impatiently angered at the outcome.

Sango turned to see Inuyasha limping his way towards them with tetsusaiga now in its sheath, using the untransformed sword as a crutch.

"Thanks for coming," He rasped out when the air in his lungs started to return from the blow he had just had. He didn't like how things were turning out, the fight wasn't what he had expected it to be.

"That's what friends are for, Inuyasha." Miroku replied, raising his staff and moving it in front of his face. "You protected my family and I will do just the same." It would be only a matter of time when Miroku's sacred sutras would not be able to hold Akuhei back, the daiyōkai was too powerful just to be held back.

Just as the thought passed the monk's mind, the strips of paper with sacred prayers have been written and prayed over burned and crisped in a blue flame. Not feeling the ofudas holding on to him, Akuhei threw his head back, the face on his forehead sneered at them. "Foolish human," Akuhei uttered, opening his mouth so that the energy blast would kill his opponents. However, before he even had the chance to unleash the attack, a smashing top whirled onto his head and he was quickly diverted from his assault.

Shippou appeared in a pop, floating in mid-air as the fox kit smirked successfully at making the dragon demon unaware of his presence. "Shippou-chan!" The fox kit heard his surrogate mother shout from inside the barrier she was in. His emerald eyes glanced in her way and he landed next to his surrogate father. He took in the battered appearance that Inuyasha displayed and his eyebrows knitted in concern. "Are you-"

"Keh! Don't worry about me, just get the pups out of here with Kagome. I can take on the bastard and the bitch just fine."

"Big talk for a half-demon," The dragon taunted, towering over Miroku, Sango and Inuyasha. He began to do his attack once more for they were helpless against him, a daiyōkai.

"Shut up!" He growled. "You threatened my family, wanted to hurt my wife and children! Why don't you wait until sunrise and I'll show you who is the better fighter!" Inuyasha shouted in response, his brows furrowing at the way the dragon swayed side to side.

"Silen-" Unexpectedly, a neon green whip appeared from his left side and Akuhei opened his mouth to let blast of demonic energy loose out from his mouth.

InuKimi gapped when she noticed her son, her son, going up against the dragon demon. Her golden eyes widened in alarm, wondering why her son would go against her. "Sesshoumaru what are you doing!"

The daiyōkai gazed at his mother, his stoic face unchanged by the panic settling over her features. "I should be asking the same, mother." His arm moved away from the dragon to draw out bakusaiga.

Another dog-demon landed with several others behind their person. A frown creased the demoness' face when she noticed her brother's family in the situation in front of her. Nishiyo had several slashes here and there on her arms and shoulders. "You dared to go against my wishes, InuKimi. I have warned you not once, but twice. And yet you still crossed me."

Scoffing in a stubborn and uncaring manner, InuKimi raised her head to glare at Nishiyo. "Tch…Nishiyo, to what extend shall I go to serve and give in to what you say. Last time I checked, it was my son who is the heir and now Inu no Taisho of the lands."

Growling at the words, Nishiyo stepped forward. "Last time I checked, these aren't the lands your son owns, these parts belong to Inuyasha and as you know, I am his protector from my brother's request. For it should be I who will go against you in battle."

Smirking at the demoness, InuKimi opened her arms. "Well, what thrill." And soon both of the dog-demoness' changed into their true form and fought in the skies while the others stayed to keep Akuhei at bay from interfering with the fight.

Sesshoumaru watched his mother fought his aunt in the darkened sky, lightning flashing across the dark clouds above them. He knew that such a day would come, however, he didn't wish for such matter to come about. "Mother…why?" He muttered and brought down bakusaiga to rip apart the tail that was causing such a hassle for the human companions his half brother cared for.

Inuyasha felt unease when the guards surrounded him. The guards stood around to protect their lady's nephew and they will not fail. Inuyasha chuckled to himself, he never did like being in the open when his human night arrived. This was going to get some getting use to since a fraction of his aunt's palace knew of his day of weakness.

"Inuyasha!" He heard Kagome shout when he saw her move to him, his children no longer holding up the barrier and breathing heavily much to his concern as he stumbled toward them and let them fall into his arms.

Izayoi and Jirou quieted down when Sesshoumaru and Nishiyo made themselves known and had taken part of the fight.

"Papa, are you hurt?" Makoto asked warily and blinked up at his father in exhaustion, his eyelids growing heavy when sleep was trying to claim him. Inuyasha shook his head, letting a low growl sound out, lulling the child to sudden ease. They were safe, the guards weren't letting the dragon demon anywhere near his family, and for that he was grateful.

Sango and Miroku were putting a fight between Akuhei as the dragon was unwilling to fall down and commit defeat. Miroku had his shakujō staff once more in his hold, placing it with hiraikotsu and letting his wife throw the bone boomerang towards the dragon demon.

Hiraikotsu managed to fly across Akuhei's abdomen to create a crescent like mark wound upon it, Akuhei himself was taken aback when he didn't notice the weapon for the first and second time as hiraikotsu returned and punctured yet another cut.

Being attacked from every side of his body, the dragon's wrath increased as an abnormal glow radiated over his form.

"Inuyasha." A new voice made the hanyō gaze up to look at a recognizable face. He knew him to be his uncle, Rikuto. The dog demon himself gazed down at his nephew,"I will get your pups away from the battle. My aneue requested me to do so, so you should not fear, they are in good hands."

Although very unsure to agree to his aunt's terms, Inuyasha arched a brow at Kagome in which she responded with a small nod. It would be better if their children weren't present, and if anything were to happen to them, they knew that Nishiyo would look after them. Rikuto watched as the miko moved her arms to shift the young infants and his nephew's oldest pups extending their arms to her. Soon the young ones were placed in their siblings arms.

Rikuto moved near one of the guards, using him as a protector in case anything, or any demon, were to interfere while they moved away from the battle. Kagome and Inuyasha watched as their children were led off into the forest.

"Kagome," Shippou said, calling the attention of the said woman when she noticed him placing a familiar bow and a few arrows onto the ground beside her being. After his family was inside the protective circle because of the guards, Shippou decided to retrieve his surrogate mother's weapon so that she could also give her part to the battle.

The said young mother looked baffled when she noticed her primary weapon laying on the grass near her feet. "Shippou-chan…thank you." Standing up with her husband's help, Kagome smiled softly at Inuyasha when she soon notched an arrow in Akuhei's direction.

His skin tingled and the dragon demon felt the sensation of reiki growing to his right. Turning his dark eyes towards the miko he knew to be cautious of, Akuhei sped up to the small group of dog demons that secured them.

"You wench!" The dragon roared, his mouth opening to let out his most powerful attack. It was many beings for the price of one, several guards that ruled under Nishiyo, the miko and the hanyō. Strengthening his aura and gathering enough yōki to let the attack rise to its peak, an enormous sphere of energy appeared and soon launched their way.

Several things happened at once; Kagome's arrow was let loose, shining a brilliance that rivaled the energy bullet, and a dog demon fell down onto the sky crying in agony with a bite mark on its hind leg and throat.

Kagome felt herself being suspended in mid air, an arm was holding her around her waist and she noticed armor in the corner of her eye. To her left, Inuyasha was being held by his kosode by another guard. Her brother-in-law was floating just yards away, his view trained on a white dog-demon in their transformed state laying helplessly on the ground. The dust cloud was preventing her from seeing anything at all. She was unsure whether or not the arrow hit her target or missed.

Sango and Miroku were in the same situation, being held by guards so that they weren't disintegrated by the dangerous attack sent by Akuhei.

With the dust cloud dispersing, Akuhei was still standing and cackling, muttering over impudent mikos with low spiritual powers. However, just as he finished his sentence, Kagome gapped when her arrow had appeared out of thin air, sparkles of pink lights surrounding the sacred arrow and shooting across to embed itself in the dragon's stomach. The occurrence was just how she freed Hitomiko-san.

If she were the old schoolgirl she was before, the arrow wouldn't have done so much damage since she didn't know how to control it. Yet nine years after practicing and enhancing her skills and spiritual power, the dragon was left in utter confusion, suddenly growing weak and collapsing to the ground.

Sesshoumaru took the approach to kill it off when they had the chance to and used the yōki wave to get rid of Akuhei. In a flash of green and electric shocks in the air, the deafening cry made them all silent and took notice of the chunks of flesh scattered across the clearing.

Feeling the ground under his feet, Inuyasha stumbled to where the guard that held Kagome, limp and exhausted from using too much reiki than she thought she had used, and took her in his arms to hold her close.

He began to think of the possibilities. What if he never knew his aunt? The guards wouldn't have been here, nor would they be standing alive in one piece.

Speaking of his aunt, Inuyasha raised his head from where he placed it over Kagome's head. The daiyōkai was nowhere in sight, although he noticed that the dog-demon on the ground whimpering in pain was InuKimi since she transformed out from her true form.

"Are you guys all right? I just came here since it was well your-…" Shippou paused in mid sentence when Inuyasha glowered at him, it was bad enough that his secret was now known, but to reminded of it was certainly worse. Sheepishly, the kitsune child proceeded to speak. "And I find a dragon demon standing in the clearing, so I wanted to help out."

"Glad you're here runt," Inuyasha said, focusing his main concentration to the woman in his arms who stirred in her short slumber.

Cracking an eye open, Kagome groaned when she felt her body weak and sore from the lack of sleep and fatigue. "I-Inuyasha…" She whispered when she locked eyes with her husband and noticed him smile down at her in return. Shippou walked away with a look of embarrassment and discomfort and trotted towards Miroku and Sango.

Miroku was using the last remaining sacred sutras to get dispose of the masses of dragon flesh. "At least we had help this time around," the monk muttered and felt Sango's arm entwining it with his.

"Nishiyo-sama!" The guards that were standing near the odd group of friends huddled over their lady when she landed on the ground from the sky, her breath was labored as she unsteadily stood on her feet. The dog-demons began to investigate the cuts and gashes along her forearm, they oozed several drops of blood that trickled downwards and fell to the ground.

"If I may not be a burden to your village healer if any villagers were hurt, perhaps she would be willing to look at these wounds. I noticed InuKimi had struck me several times with her poison whip when we kept changing in and out of our forms." She turned to her loyal guards and smiled with a softness of a mother. "Besides, I was merely returning my brother back to give him news of Akuhei's downfall," Nishiyo stated and stepped aside when her ears heard the light footsteps of grass crunching underneath the pressure of feet running towards her younger nephew.

"Chichiue!" "Hahaue!" Loud cries that made several of the dog demons winced at the high-pitched sounds of the children hastily making their way to their parents. Nishiyo's eyes softened at the sight of the family safe and sound together.

Kagome was kissing her son's and daughter's face, smothering them with chaste kisses on their foreheads and cheeks. Inuyasha let out a chuckle when his children squirmed in their mother's embrace. Nishiyo smiled and then her eyes drifted to her brother who held to gurgling bundles. Covering her mouth to suppress the small chuckle that rose in the back of her throat, she merely gleamed with joy at the frown that marred her brother's face.

"I see you are fairing well little brother," She snickered at Rikuto who didn't look as pleased in return. "Spare me the smile Nishiyo, I cannot deal with such endeavors if I were to find myself a mate," Rikuto counteracted while ambling forwards to give his nephew his pups.

"Oh please," the dog-demoness mumbled and moved behind her brother to speak with Inuyasha.

"Mama, what is going to happen to Sesshoumaru-oji-san's Okaa-san?" Kisara wondered, albeit the child was still to young to understand the difficulties in why InuKimi wanted them gone.

Kagome had the question in mind as well, gazing up to meet Nishiyo's eyes. Inuyasha took Izayoi and Jirou from his uncle's arms and lowered them so that they can be close to their mother. Izayoi reached forwards to take hold of his lock of black hair while her twin brother put his fisted hand in his mouth.

"Sesshoumaru," Nishiyo said, watching intensely when a guard held up InuKimi with rope tying her hands behind her back. "I will let you decide what we shall do, she is your mother and lady of part of the dog-demon clan."

InuKimi chuckled darkly and lifted her head to stare at her son. "What shall you do my son?" She question with a sweet tone of voice, yet spatting out the words as if left distaste in her mouth.

Ignoring her words, Sesshoumaru turned around to return to the castle. "We should decide when we get back to your sky castle Oba-sama." With that, Nishiyo ordered her guards to escort her oldest nephew to the castle whilst she stayed back in the village.

Kaede swatted the clawed hand away, refraining from letting the dog-demoness from tugging at the bandages around her wrapped arm and one horrible gash on her hip. "Ye must stay still, Nishiyo-sama, for ye will cause further damage to ye's wound."

In the corner of the hut laid Makoto and Kisara, both resting their heads on their father's lap as they slept. Inuyasha was waiting until sunrise and incase any other foolish demons were to interrupt their human night any further.

"Inuyasha, you must rest." He heard his aunt say to him.

Kaede moved to the side, moving her medicinal herbs with her and applying salve on her other arm. The elder woman turned her head in the half-demon's spot,"Aye, Inuyasha, ye must. On the matter of your home, the village men took it upon themselves to help you fix it."

Kagome rested her head on his shoulder. Groggily she nodded in agreement,"They are right, your aunt will let us know if anything happens."

With a frown seizing his features, Inuyasha sighed in defeat,"Alright, I will. Just wake me up if there's a demon."

Nishiyo shook her head in disagreement but her nephew soon fell asleep the moment his eyes closed. Her brows lessened their stress on her face and gaze to her far left to watch the sleeping infants.

"I assume that ye will be taking your leave in the morning?" Kaede asked, placing her wash cloth and herbs down on the small risen table. She looked over her shoulder to notice the dog-demoness nodding.

"Yes, that is so, I have many duties to attend to in the dawn," Nishiyo answered and leaned against the huts wooden wall.

Kaede gave the demoness a short bob of her head and moved to rest in her futon that laid beside the half-demon, Naoko. "I have an extra bedding for ye if ye want to rest."

A smile crept up on her face, now knowing why her brother had such a fascination over the human kind. Several were on the bad side, their greed soaring upwards while their minds battled within. Then there are those with kindness far greater than any demon would display. "Thank you, Kaede-sama, but I will not need it." Nishiyo turned her head towards the shoji door. Now all the madness had come to an end, there will be those who go against her nephew being of royal blood, but she will be there.

Makoto and Kisara stirred in their sleep and sat up to blink and clear their vision. The pups noticed their parents rest against each other and both smiled that they weren't hurt but safe. Kisara climbed into her father's lap and moved her father's hand over her stomach and Makoto did the same with his mother.

Both pups placed their mother's and father's hand on to each other's. Smiling and snuggling into their parent's warmth, they didn't notice the looks on their parents faces and their clasped hand intertwine together.

Whatever they had to go through, whatever troubles in life they'd have. They will go through it as a family.

Author's Note

*Sniffle* Well…this is the end. Yup, the end… Not sure if I like the ending though, but I think I'll be putting an epilogue, if you guys want one. Since this one is complete, the next story I will be working on is The Other Worlds of Us. It was such a long run for this story, after finishing it after a year and one week. I want to thank you all, the reviewers, followers, people who favorited the story. Thank you all so much for being with me once again, if you haven't read any of my other works, and any of those who are new, thank you so so much. Well, until then minna-san!
