Chapter 17

"Lucinda"

"Do I have both of your attention, Senoras? Yes? Good! Now let me tell you a story…" Lucinda started her tale, enthusiastically; in front of a captivated audience.

"My name is Lucinda Constella Lydia Maria Rodriguez. Dios! It takes a lot of air into my lungs to say it in one straight breath. I'm a maid, but not just a regular maid. I'm a classy Spanish maid, aren't they the best kind?" She let a grin appeared on her lips. "In the past, I used to work for Mister Mikaelson. He's a big business man, my Senor Mikaelson. He runs a big enterprise in downtown L.A. and lives in a big mansion, with beautiful gardens, and a huge swimming pool." She informed her auditory. "But then this asshole… Dios! Forgive me for the bad word; let me make a cross sign… There! All is forgiven and forgotten, what was I saying? Yes! He became a jerk and he pushed is "amor" at arm length, and his behavior destroyed his own heart… Oh, I forgot to say! El Amor de su vida is named Senora Katherine Pierce. Along with losing his "amor", he lost the best maid he ever had: me! And he also lost his head, and probably another part of his anatomy, but I can't say it in front of the both of you, Senoras, or in front of God, because Lucinda wants to go to heaven one day." She paused, sighing loudly; her eyes staring at the ceiling. "But, don't cry for my Senor Mikaelson yet, Argentina." She winked. "His "amor" came back and forgave his bad behavior toward her. And now, he's a proud "papá", and that makes Lucinda very happy. Did you see the smile on my face?" She pointed two fingers toward her cheeks.

Lucinda turned on herself, reaching and grabbing a nearby chair to take a sitting position, before continuing her story.

"After ditching Mister Mikaelson, forgive me, but I really ditched the man." She rolled her eyes. "He was a "tonto", I couldn't handle his "estupidez" anymore, so Lucinda left the mansion with my suitcase at hand and I went to work for his brother, Senor Klaus. He's a big actor my Senor Klaus. Senora Katherine is also Senor Klaus's agent; so it was easy for me to keep an eye on her and the "tonto" at the same time." She nodded, self-explaining. "Lucinda, knew in the bottom of her heart that Senor Mikaelson and Senora Katherine would find their way back to each other, because … Well… Lucinda knows everything." She shrugged, fatalist of such truth. "Senor Klaus is not like Senor Mikaelson." The maid shook her head. "He's a free spirit at heart that one. So free spirit that I saw my fair share of lace underwear between the sheets and the sofa cushions. What? Dios … No! He's not wearing lace underwear my Senor Klaus, why would you think something like that? He's a man, a real one, never doubt that!" She waved a forbidden finger in front of her sight. "The models that he was dating at the time were wearing them. But Lucinda knew, oh yes … Lucinda knew, that Senor Klaus's heart was empty, as well as his life. And then one day he met "the reina de la fiesta", and he finally fell deeply in love with her." She added, with a smile spreading from ear to ear. "In English we say: the Belle of the Bal. She's named Senora Caroline Forbes. And they made beautiful love on the dance floor. Once, they danced a hot Rumba on live television, Lucinda had to fan herself … Hacia calor … Oh, it was hot!" She waved both hands in front of her face. "What would you say if we took a little break? And then I'll continue the story?"

Two weeks after the finale – Mikaelson mansion – Garden Party – In the afternoon

"What are you doing?" Elijah disputed, seeing Katherine coming down the marble stairs, while leading her steps toward the terrace, holding in her hands, a silver platter filled with glasses. "For God sake, Katherine, you can't carry heavy things in your condition. I've told you, repeatedly, to be careful." He added, grabbing the platter from her hands, before dropping it on a nearby service table.

"Yes, "daddy"; you want me to go to my bedroom, kneel in a corner and think about what I just did?" Katherine pulled her tongue at him, rolling her eyes.

"Now, don't you fill my head of "naughty" ideas like the one of you kneeling on a bedroom floor, I could actually find more ways than one to punish you." Elijah smirked, slowly sliding his right hand from her lower back, to the delicious curve of her bottom.

"You have a dirty mind, Mister Mikaelson." She replied, while trying to keep a straight face.

"It's only for your eyes and ears only, beautiful." Elijah replied, grinning.

"I'm in my first semester, just a couple of weeks pregnant, Elijah, I'm not an invalid!" She brunette pushed his hand away from her bottom. "And no funny business today, there are guesses who will arrive very soon." She waved a forbidden finger underneath his nose.

"We can't even exchange a few kisses, here and there, or sneak away behind the bushes?" Elijah pouted, adorably; before grabbing Katherine's waist, with both hands, only to gently pull her in the comfort of his arms, with his lips finding the soft curve of her neck.

"No! You need to behave yourself in front of the invitees." Katherine raised her hands on his muscular chest; a soft moan escaping her lips against her better judgement.

"Then stop making those pleasurable sounds." Elijah growled, while nibbling on her left earlobe. "When I hear them, I want you even more, Katherine."

"Elijah, I swear, I'll push you in the swimming pool, if needed; it's not like I've never done it before." Katherine threatened, while squirming herself out of his solid grip.

"Are you threatening me, Miss Pierce?" Elijah raised an eyebrow, his right hand giving a friendly slap on her bottom.

"Stop that!" Katherine raised a finger and narrowed her sight on her fiancé.

"Kiss me and I'll stop?" He suggested, teaser.

"No!" Katherine shook her head, uncompromising. "Please, be an angel, would you?" It's my first time as the hostess in your manor, and I want everything to be perfect." She explained herself. "When we start kissing, it leads to … To other things, and I don't have time to frolic around with you, today!"

"As of now, it's your "home" too, Katherine." He reminded her, stroking the tip of her nose, with a smile blessing his lips. "And there's a caterer service, with plenty of waiters at your disposal."

"I know…" She lowered her head, redness coloring her face. "I'm getting used to the all idea of becoming your wife, and having this manor becoming my home; you must be patient with me, and give me time to process?" She let a timid smile spread on her pink lips. "As for the caterer service, I guess a woman likes to add her own touch." She shrugged her shoulders.

"I'll give you all the time that you want." Elijah brushed his lips on her forehead. "And you can put your special "touch" in this party, as much as your want also."

"Thank you. Did you assure yourself that everything is set for Lucinda's surprise?" Katherine reminded him, before placing a few napkins on a service table.

"Who?" Elijah replied, teaser.

"Elijah, can you be serious just for a second?" Katherine rolled her eyes, sighing loudly.

"Ok, ok … Yes! The "surprise" has been confirmed." Elijah replied, nodding; a huge grin spreading on his lips.

"Ok, good!" The sexy brunette let a sigh of relief escape her lips. "She will be so excited when she'll see what we have done to thank her."

"Excited? It is Lucinda we're talking about, "excited" can't even start to cover it. The woman will probably alert the police just by her loud yelling." He rolled his eyes, arms crossed over his chest, upper body leaning on the table.

"Stop it!" Katherine disputed, once more; but this time with a smile raising the right corner of her lips. "Lucinda is not that bad."

"No, of course she's not." Elijah shook his head, wincing. "She's worse than that!"

"Stop complaining, because you love her that way." Katherine winked in his direction.

"If you say so…" Elijah shrugged, redness reaching both of his cheeks.

"Hey? Is this a private party between the two of you, or can anyone be invited?" They heard a sarcastic, loud, male voice ask them.

"Klaus, Caroline!" Katherine smiled, greeting her friends enthusiastically, while waving her right hand at them.

"You're thinking of staying on top of the stairs, or you'll come down soon?" Elijah shouted to his brother, teasingly.

"Let them be! They are having a moment!" Katherine disputed Elijah, while hitting his right upper arm as a warning.

"I can't go down there, half-dressed like I am now?!" Caroline exclaimed for Klaus's ears only. "Why did you have to announce ourselves this way?"

"We'll be down in a second!" Klaus yelled back to his brother, smiling; while placing himself in front of Caroline's standing position, to help her safe the face. "What do you want me to do? They would have noticed us eventually."

"Damn you, now it's clear they must know!" She growled, unhappy.

"Know what for God sake?" Klaus asked, while rolling his eyes at Caroline's say.

"If you haven't jumped my skin in the car, I wouldn't feel ashamed to present myself half-dressed at your bother garden party!" Caroline angrily stomped her feet, steam coming out of her ears.

"Pot calling the kettle, Love?" Klaus tried to pull the stuck zipper in the back of her dress.

"I will not present myself half-naked, in front of Katherine and your brother!" Caroline repeated.

"Maybe Katherine could lend you one of her dresses?" Klaus suggested, both hands now pulling on the satanic zipper.

"Are you crazy? I'll die of shame!" Caroline exclaimed. "I want to wear this red dress, and what is happening right now is your entire fault!"

"And how did you come up with me being the offender, Forbes?" Klaus growled; this damn zipper wouldn't move of a millimeters! "If I recall, sweetheart, it's you who climbed on my lap, when I stopped the engine." He played the devil advocate, his lips finding the delicious curve of her neck, his hands sliding on her bare back, in soft, delightful touches, while creating a range of shivers in her spine. "It's certainly not my fault if you can't keep your hands away from me."

"Oh that is such a bowl of crap!" Caroline replied, redness reaching both of her cheeks; while deep-down, perfectly knowing there was a huge part of truth in his say. "Keep trying, I won't present myself in front of your brother, with my lace underwear at the sight of everyone!"

Kol closed his driver's door, before leading his walk toward the opposite side of the jeep, to open Bonnie's door.

"After you my Queen…" He smiled, while handing his right hand to help Bonnie rise from her sitting position.

"Thank you Kol" Bonnie replied, back on her two feet, dressed of a flowery pair or Capri pants, and a silk white top tank, with a pair of high heels silver sandals to complete the outfit.

"You're welcome, baby." Kol grabbed Bonnie's waist, before pulling her in the comfort of his arms to bless her lips of a kiss. "You smell good." He let a huge smile spread on his lips, sliding strands of her hair behind her ears.

"So are you." She leaned forward to return his kiss. "But we can't further this … I mean what we're doing or we'll be late to the garden party." She gently pushed herself at arm length of too much temptation.

"You're breaking my heart, darling." Kol pouted, adorably, with his right hand raised over his chest. "But, you're right; we can't go further, though I really, really, really want to go further, maybe, behind these beautiful bushes?" He titled his head, hopeful, and with a huge smile spreading, from ear to ear, on his lips.

"No we can't!" Bonnie shook her head. "You need to take your sound equipment to the backdoor terrace. You've agreed to be the D.J., did you forget?"

"Nah, I did not forget; I was just hoping for an early reward of a few kisses for my hard work?" Kol explained teasingly, before opening his trunk to grab his sound equipment.

"A few kisses, my ass; you would want way more than that." Bonnie rolled her eyes, while trying to hold her laughter.

"Well, it's because of your beautiful ass, to start with, that I would want more, Miss Bennett." He winked. "You want to give me a hand to carry the CDs case?"

"Sure!" Bonnie replied, enthusiastically; while grabbing the case. "Need more help?" She offered.

"No, I'll start with this, and I'll come back to pick up the rest." Kol replied, before closing the trunk. "Come!" He grabbed, Bonnie's right hand; before blessing each of her fingers of a kiss; which created a range of shivers in her spine.

"Did you hear the surprise guest?" She asked, while walking by his side to reach the front door of the mansion.

"Yah, I can hardly believe it." Kol replied, smiling. "I guess Klaus and his brother pulled some strings to get that person to appear at that garden party. "Isn't it supposed to be a surprise for their maid Lucinda?"

"Yes, that's what I've heard. And I've also learned that she is quite a persona." Bonnie winked at her boyfriend.

"Apparently she is. In that case, I can't wait to meet her." Kol replied, smiling. "By the way, I'm all packed, and ready to "roll" with you to your American Tour." He informed, while reaching the upfront porch. "Bonnie?" He questioned, feeling her fingers slipping away from his hand. "What? Why are you crying?" He opened his eyes widely, surprised.

"You're really coming?" She questioned, motionless; while standing on one of the front stairs, with tears filling her eyes.

"Of course, I'm coming!" He dropped the equipment he was carrying on the stairs, before reaching her standing position. "Wow, wow, wow …Where is this sudden insecurity coming from?" He asked, while cupping her face with both hands. "Aren't you the woman who proclaimed that she was falling in love with me in front of millions of viewers not even a few weeks ago?"

"I did, and I do love you. It's not insecurity, I swear; it's just that you're so … You're so amazing and nice and … Basically the perfect man. Sometimes, I wonder if…"Bonnie stammered, while raising her hands to grab both of his wrists.

"You forgot "sexy"." He winked, cutting her sentence short, while grabbing her chin. "And yes … You do deserve to have me in your life, because you're equally amazing, Bonnie Bennett!" He added, uncompromisingly; before crashing his mouth on hers.

"It's not coming up!" Klaus mumbled, angrily, between his teeth; while lowering his sored fingers from the "stuck-like-glue" zipper of Caroline's dress.

"Well, that is just great, isn't Mikaelson?" She stomped her feet once more, steam still coming out of her ears. "If only something else had not come up earlier, I wouldn't be stuck in this predicament!"

"Hey you two, what's going on?" They both startled at the call of a male voice, with Klaus instantly placing himself behind Caroline's back, while trying to hide her wide-opened dress, both hands placed on her shoulders.

"Hey Kol, Bonnie…" Caroline raised her right hand, while awkwardly waving her hand at them.

"Hey." Kol replied, suspicious and with a raised eyebrow.

"Hi, what are you doing in top of the stairs?" Bonnie questioned, glancing at her boyfriend, from the corner of her eyes. "There are Elijah and Katherine who are obviously waiting for us?"

"What, mm…?" Caroline felt a fire reaching her cheeks.

"Nothing, we're…" Klaus coughed, uncomfortable.

"You tore her dress apart, did you?" Bonnie rolled her eyes, both closed fists placed on each side of her waist.

"No, I did not!" Klaus shook his head. "The zipper is stuck, for God sake!"

"I bet one hundred it was in the back of his car that the "damn" zipper got stuck." Kol giggled.

"Just shout up, would you Kol?" Caroline hit her friend's left upper arm with her closed fist.

"Ouch!" Kol rubbed the bruise, a smirk appearing on his lips.

"Hey? If you want we can ask the caterer to bring everything where you are all standing?" Elijah yelled.

"Would you just give them a few seconds for God sake, Elijah?" Katherine scolded him, once more.

"A minute; they have been up there for hours!" He pouted, before finally seeing them walk down the outside stairs.

"See, they are coming down." Katherine rolled her eyes at her impatient fiancé.

"Hi!" Bonnie greeted both Katherine and Elijah; before blessing the hostess's cheeks of a few kisses. "Thanks for the invitation."

"Oh, it was our pleasure." Katherine replied. "We should actually thank Kol for his services as our D.J."

"Nah, don't even mention it." Kol shook his head, while shaking Elijah's hand. "Where can I put my equipment?" He inquired.

"We prepared a table underneath a pavilion." Elijah pointed a finger toward the emplacement.

"Perfect!" Kol nodded. "Oh by the way, Katherine, Caroline will need a new dress, Klaus tore the one she is wearing."

"Oh my God, that was really classy of you, Kol!" Caroline exclaimed, in shock.

"I did not tear the dress, the zipper got stuck!" Klaus mumbled, angrily, between his teeth.

"I knew it was something like that." Katherine sighed, loudly. "Why didn't you say something?" She addressed the issue to Caroline. "I'll lend you a dress; it's not even a problem."

"I feel so embarrassed." Caroline replied, redness reaching both of her cheeks.

"No, it's not, Caroline; but what is standing on top of the stairs may become a huge problem!" Elijah replied; his head and sight rose at the new guest.

"Hola!" They all heard the enthusiastic Spanish greeting. "Senor Mikaelson, Senora Katherine, I brought a casserole of Paella!"

"It's Lucinda, what will I do?" Caroline exclaimed, in panic.

"Let's just stand near one another, with our backs turned to her sight…Quick!" Elijah suggested.

Like a bunch of teenagers, standing close to each other, in a perfect linear row, the men's arms around the women's waist, and the women's hands placed on the men's shoulders, with Caroline placed as the lettuce in the middle of a sandwich, they all waited for the Spanish maid to descend the stairs.

"Hola, I'm Lucinda." She presented herself, officially, to both Kol and Bonnie, after dropping her dish on a nearby service table.

"Hola, Senora Lucinda; it's nice to officially met you." Kol greeted, smiling.

"Hi, nice to meet you too, Lucinda, I'm Bonnie Bennett." Bonnie presented herself, while handing her right hand to the maid.

"Oh I know who you are, Senora Bennett." Lucinda nodded, smiling, while shaking Bonnie's hand. "You've captured the hearts of millions of Americans with your "amor" song at the finale."

"Well, thank you very much." Bonnie replied, smiling; while taking a step forward toward the likeable maid, under the horrified look of Elijah. Obviously, they needed to stick together in a perfect row.

"Hey, hey, hey … Where are you going, stay by my side, darling." Kol pulled her back toward her initial position.

"Oh right, silly me." Bonnie replied, blushing.

"Mm…" Lucinda narrowed her sight on all of them, arms crossed over her chest, while walking in front of their perfect row positions. "Why are you all standing like sardines in a fish box?" She questioned, holding her pace in front of Caroline, who swallowed a lump in her throat.

"What? Oh Lucinda, we're friends, we love each other, we need to fell close, you know?" Klaus tried to relax the atmosphere.

"Mm…" She mumbled the sound once more, before reprising her inspection walk, like a female sergeant in front of her platoon. "And Lucinda is Justin Bieber, I suppose?" She rolled her eyes to the blue sky. "Senora Caroline, if you could just turn around; Lucinda will help you with your stuck zipper."

"How in the mother of God is this even possible?" Elijah grabbed his head with both hands.

"How … I mean… did you even…" Caroline stammered, with her mouth opened.

"Lucinda wasn't born yesterday, she knows." Lucinda shrugged her shoulders. "Senora Katherine, can you hand me a little piece of butter?"

"I think she is a Martian, only logical explanation?" Elijah suggested to both Kol and his brother.

"Maybe she's an agent of the NASA?" Kol suggested; himself.

"I think she put a chip-device inside of our heads." Klaus came up with the only logical explanation.

"Well, that one could be it!" Elijah pointed toward his brother.

"Don't listen to them, Lucinda; they don't know better." Katherine replied, while handing her a little package of butter.

"It's been a long time since Lucinda has listened to what a man had to say." She winked to the brunette, before rubbing a bit of butter on the zipper. In the time space of a few seconds, the zipper was pulled back up.

"Oh my God, Lucinda; you did it!" Caroline exclaimed, joyfully; while jumping in the maid's arms. "Thank you so much!"

"De nada!" The maid replied, smiling.

"You have the magic touch apparently, Lucinda." Bonnie commented.

"You'll make Lucinda blush if you continue throwing "flores" in my direction." The Spanish maid gestured with both hands to make them stop. "Senor Klaus, next time, just be delicate with a silk dress, would you?" She suggested, winking at the young man.

"I couldn't be more embarrassed right now." Klaus shook his head, wincing.

"Senor Mikaelson? Remember the time you did it with Senora Katherine, the night of the finale, in your car, at the Network studio?" Lucinda exclaimed, under all of their speechless expressions.

"I just beat you to it brother." Elijah sighed loudly, while striking his eyelids. "Lucinda could you just … Not!"

"You did it with my agent, in the parking lots of the Network?" Klaus leaned his head back, before bursting into loud laughter.

"Thank you very so much, Lucinda!" Elijah mumbled, angrily, between his teeth.

"Mm, I don't know what you're talking about?" The Spanish woman shrugged. "Now Lucinda, will help with the catering buffet, Senora Katherine." She informed the brunette, while grabbing a pile of plates.

"No! You don't need to do that, Lucinda, you're our guest." Katherine objected, while taking the pile of dishes from her hands.

"But, I thought you've invited me for my maid services?" Lucinda stared at Katherine, surprised.

"What, no … Of course not, why would you think something like that?" Katherine shook her head.

"Because, that's what Lucinda do. She is a maid; she is helping her employer, always." Lucinda replied, uncomfortable.

Katherine turned her head toward Elijah for help, sadness filling her eyes.

"Lucinda, I'm pouring myself a Scotch, do you want one?" Elijah offered his ex-employee, to cut the uncomfortable silence.

"Did you mention alcohol, Senor Mikaelson?" Lucinda peek her head, a huge smile spreading from ear to ear.

"How much would you need?" Elijah asked both his brother and Caroline.

"A few hundreds of thousands to start with, but I swear I will reimburse every penny with interests." Klaus responded, truthfully. "I have a good amount of money stuck aside to start with, but it won't be enough."

Both couples were talking in setback standing positions, with a crowd of invitees walking around in the garden, glass of champagne at hands.

"We would open an acting school that would give the chance to beginners, such as little girls, to be guided in this huge acting industry, and this in the safest way." Klaus started explaining.

"Klaus would be in charge of the acting classes, and I would take care of teaching these little girls how to dance, with the help of a few teachers by my side." Caroline added. "And we would also need you Katherine, if their parents would want the service of an agent."

"Oh Elijah, that's a marvellous idea." Katherine responded, enthusiastically. "What do you say?"

"So, these little girls would have the chance to be directed in a safe way in this industry? Like you weren't?" Elijah asked.

"Not entirely true, I was lucky; I met Katherine." Klaus addressed a smile to his agent.

"Elijah, think about it? Caroline and Klaus are perfect candidates to open that school?" Katherine tried to twist his arm to hear his approval.

"I know that … I mean; I know you've never been aboard of my acting career, because you were always afraid of the industry taking advantage of me. But, that is what Caroline and I want to implant, a safe, secured place for those young girls to learn the base of their careers." Klaus added, as good points.

"Ok, I'll give you the money." Elijah nodded, in approval. "I'll give you five hundred thousand to start with, is it enough?"

"Oh thank you, thank you so much!" Caroline jumped in Elijah's arms, while kissing both of his cheeks, enthusiastically.

"Well, if that is the kind of thank you I'll receive from your girlfriend each time I'll lend you money, I'm up to it." Elijah teased, smirking; before shaking his brother's hand. "Do the world some good, Klaus; I'm counting on you."

"Thanks bro." Klaus shook Elijah's hand, while smiling back at him.

"And from me … You're getting "this" as a thank you." Katherine grabbed his fiancé's chin, before turning his head to bless his lips of a kiss.

"I thought we were not allowed to kiss today?" Elijah teased, a smile reaching his dark brown eyes.

"I've changed my mind." Katherine added, before closing her eyes, and brushing her lips on his, once more.

"Hey, look who's here?" Klaus exclaimed, at the arrival of both Rebekah and Matt, with tagging along, Bill Forbes. "Bill?" He greeted, while shaking the man's right hand.

"Klaus, how are you son?" Bill replied, enthusiastically; while shaking his hand.

"Hey daddy…" Caroline hugged his father, before blessing his right cheek of a kiss.

"Hey sweetheart…." Bill hugged his daughter.

"So, do I get a hug too, or is it only reserved to your father?" Matt teased, before pulling Caroline's in his arms.

"Of course you do!" Caroline laughed, before hugging the young man.

"Hey Rebekah…" Klaus hugged the young woman. "How's everything for the both of you?"

"Hi Klaus, we're good." Rebekah hugged him back. "We've been to every damn talk show in America the past few weeks, to promote the finale and the fact that we have won." She informed them, before sliding her left arm around Matt's waist, her right hand rising on his chest.

"And we've managed to pass some quality time together in the middle of this hectic time." Matt turned his head to bury his fiery sight in the one of his girlfriend, a huge smile plastered on his lips, before blessing her forehead of a kiss. "But we're keeping our personal relationship to ourselves from the time being."

"It's a wise idea, mate." Klaus winked, before encircling Caroline's waist of both arms, his head tucked in the hollow of her left shoulder.

"We are very happy for the both of you." Caroline admitted, truthfully.

"Thank you, Caroline; we still believe that you should have been the ones winning the competition." Rebekah admitted, shyly; while glancing at Matt.

"Nah, winning Caroline's heart was hard enough for me to handle." Klaus winked, teaser.

"Talk for yourself, Mikaelson!" Caroline elbowed him in the stomach, under his growl of pain.

"I love it, when you turn rough on me, Forbes." Klaus teased, before kissing her right cheek.

"What is this I've heard from my daughter, about the both of you opening an acting school?" Bill inquired, curious to know, with both arms crossed over his chest.

"We want to open an art/acting school for little girls to learn how to act and dance at the same time." Klaus informed, proudly.

"What? Oh my god, that's a brilliant idea!" Rebekah exclaimed, enthusiastically.

"Are you set for this project to work?" Matt asked, hopeful.

"Well, apparently we are, Klaus's brother just lend us the missing money to buy the property we were dreaming to buy." Caroline exclaimed, happily.

"Congrats! It's a brilliant idea." Bill shook Klaus's hand, once more.

"Thank you!" Klaus nodded, appreciative to receive Caroline's dad approval.

"Can you imagine all these little ballerinas entering the class room for the first time?" Rebekah exclaimed, all excited, while clapping her hands.

"Rebekah, I'll probably teach those girls contemporary classes, not ballet." Caroline rectified her friend, a smirk spreading on her lips.

"I know, I know … But, you can bet your ass that they'll come in their pink tutus the first day of class." The blonde winked at her friend.

"I've told you to let the caterer service take care of that, Katherine." Elijah disputed her, while taking the box of sparkle water bottles from her hands.

"I know, but it's not like it will kill me, Elijah." She rolled her eyes.

"I don't want you to risk your health, or the health of the baby, over carrying a stupid box of sparkle water!" Elijah added, uncompromising; while dropping the box on a service table, before waving a waiter to take care of it.

"I'm fine, the baby is fine, we are all fine, you shouldn't worry this way, because it's not good for your heart." She smiled, teaser; her hands rising at the base of Elijah's neck.

"I just …" He stammered, shyly; before brushing a strand of her brown hair, away from her forehead. "I just want you and the baby to be safe."

"I know you do." Katherine replied.

"Tell me something; was it Hayley I saw a few minutes earlier near the bar?" Elijah wondered, with one raised eyebrow.

"Whom? Oh yes, you mean Miss "Shirley"?" Katherine replied, winking. "Yes, it is her." She confirmed, toneless.

"I did not invite her, Katherine, I swear." Elijah pleaded.

"I know you did not invite her, Elijah; because I did!" Katherine informed him, unceremoniously.

"Why would you even consider doing something like that?" Elijah wondered; a speechless expression plastered on his face.

"Because you're mine, and I'm marking my territory of a big – huge "X"!" She slapped his right cheek, in a friendly manner. "Plus Tyler Lockwood is one of the dancers; she came as a plus one." She shrugged.

"I won't even try to understand this." Elijah shook his head. "But, it's nice to hear you say that I'm "yours." He grinned, happily. "And where is Lucinda anyway? She's supposed to enjoy herself at this party?" Elijah scattered the crowd in search of the Spanish woman.

"She wanted to see the room that we'll use for the nursery." Katherine shrugged, softly pushing herself from their embrace, before grabbing a plate in her hand. The mother-to-be was suddenly famished. "She mumbled something about wanting to see the room she would work the most in the next months."

"What did you just say?" Elijah opened his eyes widely, under the surprise.

"What?" Katherine closed her eyes, wincing. Damn her big mouth! "I've said nothing!" She shook her head, hopeful he would let this "slip of the tongue" slide in the back burner of his memory.

"Katherine Pierce!" Elijah grabbed both of her shoulders, before turning the young woman around to face him. "You've said that Lucinda would work in the mansion in the next months?"

"Mm… What, no … Did I say that?" Katherine replied, redness reaching both of her cheeks.

"I can't believe this!" Elijah exclaimed, before rushing up the stairs to enter the mansion.

The man was obviously on a mission…

"Lucinda Constella Lydia Maria Rodriguez, where are you for "fuck" sake?" Elijah swore, through the downstairs corridor.

He had rushed upstairs in one of the present bedroom that should be converted into a nursery, but without the luck of finding her.

Lucinda rolled her eyes on the ceiling, while hearing Elijah's yelling. She was standing in his study room, arms crossed, in front of the bay window, her sight lost in the garden.

"There you are!" He exclaimed, while closing the door panel behind his back, before reaching her. "What is this I hear about you … You, I mean…" He tried to articulate his thought, while nervously passing a hand through his tangled hair. "It should have been me, proposing … I mean…"

Lucinda turned on her heels, before reaching Elijah's standing position to narrow her fiery sight on him.

"What?" Lucinda simply inquired, in a toneless tone.

"Well…Well … I… I …" He replied, stammering each word, under severe shortness of breath.

"Mm…" She kept her sight locked in his.

"Thank you." He admitted, in a low murmur, while nodding his head.

"De nada, Senor Mikaelson…" She responded, tears filling her eyes, before grabbing both of his hands. Not a single explanation was needed to understand each other.

"You've been my rock all of these years …" He continued, his voice breaking under the emotion. "I … I have no right to ask you this, but I need you."

"You're not asking, Lucinda is offering, it's not the same." She shook her head, a smile blessing her lips, while the tears were rolling on her cheeks.

"I don't know why you have stuck around; you should have left a long time ago?" Elijah wondered, tears filling his own eyes.

"Dios, isn't it obvious by now?" Lucinda replied, questioning. "You and Senor Klaus are like my sons." The maid admitted. "I would never abandon you, Senor Mikaelson." She confessed more, while raising her right hand to caress Elijah's left cheek. "Now this will be our little secret. We'll say that I've forced my way back to yours and Senora Katherine's life, and demanded to become your nursemaid, and you'll growl like always, while I'll roll my eyes and dismiss all you'll say." She proposed, mocker.

"I never growl!" Elijah objected, while stroking his teary eyelids.

"Dios, you always do!" Lucinda rolled her eyes, as expected; before winking at the new ex-employer.

"I don't know if I can, Lucinda? What if … What if I mess-up everything like the first time?" Elijah questioned, hoarsely.

"Listen to Lucinda, you won't!" The Spanish maid squeezed his hands. "Put aside your doubts and the "past". It's a brand new beginning for you and Senora Katherine, do you hear me?"

"Yes, I hear your acute voice every day." Elijah mocked, before lowering his head to bless her left cheek of a chaste kiss.

"Am I interrupting?" Klaus asked, while standing over the threshold, hands buried in his pants pocket.

"No, you're not." Elijah turned on his back to sweep his tears away.

"Senor Klaus…" Lucinda headed her steps toward Elijah's brother standing position, before being pulled into a hug.

"Thank you, Lucinda." Klaus hugged her tightly in his arms, while keeping his eyes close under the intense emotion. No explanation was necessary to understand the thankfulness that was coming from both brothers.

"De nada, Senor Klaus, Lucinda is always here for you." She responded, before gently pulling herself away from the embrace. "Now, I'll go refresh my makeup." She winked, before leaving the room.

"Camille?" Caroline shouted the female name into the crowd, while passing beside a few guests to reach the female dancer.

"Oh Caroline, hi, how are you?" Camille greeted, uncomfortable. "I … Well, first thank you for the invitation to this party; I've debated long and hard if I should come." She shrugged. "I couldn't understand why you'd invite me to start with?"

"Actually, it's Klaus's brother who invited you; and he invited pretty much everyone related to the reality show." Caroline explained, nodding.

"I see." Camille frowned; while avoiding Caroline's sight. "It was obviously stupid of my part to think that you would invite me; and in all justice, I would have not invited myself either if I was in your shoes."

"No you don't … I mean … Initially it's me and Klaus who gave the list to his brother; and you were on it." She reassured the female dancer.

"Well, thank you then." Camille let a timid smile spread on her lips.

"Why did you come after all?" Caroline questioned, curious.

"Well, I … I mean I'm leaving Los Angeles in a couple of days, so I thought seeing people in a party one last time wouldn't be so bad." Camille explained, careless.

"You're leaving?" Caroline asked, surprised.

"Yah, I'm going back to Paris." Camille responded. "There are no more opportunities for me in L.A., so …" She shrugged, while trying to cover her unhappiness with a fake smile.

"What if there was still one opportunity for you to grab?" Caroline suggested, a smile spreading on her lips.

"I'm not entirely sure of what you mean by that?" Camille wondered.

"What would you say to take the position of a female dancer for an acting school?" Caroline proposed to the surprised and motionless young woman.

"What are you doing here?" Camille turned on her heels, glass of champagne at hand; only to face Marcel who was heading in her direction.

"Well, I thought …. Everyone was invited, I mean, from the show, or am I mistaking?" Marcel shrugged, surprised.

"Yes, of course, it's silly of me." Camille shook her head, redness reaching her cheeks.

"Would you care for a glass of champagne?" A waiter suggested to Marcel, while handing the silver platter to him.

"Yes, thanks, do you want one?" Marcel grabbed a glass, before turning his glance toward Camille.

"No, I'm all set." She raised her glass, smiling.

"Well, "Santé" then!" He greeted in French; while raising his glass in the air.

"Santé!" Camille replied, politely; before taking a gulp of the bubbly alcohol.

"I heard you're leaving?" Marcel commented, while coughing discreetly. "Were you going to say goodbye?" He wondered, out loud.

"Probably not…" Camille shrugged. "I'm not the sentimental type."

"I see…" He winced under her say.

"But then again, I don't need to say goodbye." She added, unceremoniously.

"What did you just say?" Marcel raised his sight, surprised.

"It's crazy, really … Klaus and Caroline are opening an acting/art school, and they need a few dancers to teach young kids, so … I'm thinking about it." She informed him.

Marcel let a smile spread on his manly lips; before slowly grabbing Camille's chin, his eyes locked with hers, only to bless her lips of a kiss a few seconds later.

'Why… Why did you do this?" She questioned, stammering; when he detached his lips from the young woman's.

"This is one additional reason that should make you think harder about staying here, and not going back to Paris." Marcel explained, smiling; while caressing the blonde's right cheek.

"I guess I have a lot of thinking to do then?" Camille replied, grinning.

"I guess you do, Mademoiselle Camille." Marcel winked.

"We're ignoring each other; or we'll say our hellos?" Stefan questioned, while approaching his brother, who was standing in front of the buffet tables, plate at hands.

"What do you suggest?" Damon let a smirk spread on his lips.

"I don't know? What's the protocol for two brothers who married the same woman, only to divorce her?" Stefan shrugged, teaser; hands buried in his pants' pockets.

"You're getting good with this sarcastic part of your personality." Damon grinned, while pointing toward Stefan.

"I had a good teacher." Stefan winked, before grabbing a plate.

"Do you wish for sweet potatoes sir?" One of the caterer chefs asked.

"Yes, please." Stefan nodded, politely.

"Are you aware that she left?" Damon informed his brother, shrugging.

"I know… Spain, if I am not mistaking?" Stefan replied, while signing the chef toward the steaks.

"His name is Enzo, how so mysterious of her, would you say?" Damon winced.

"She can't change, Damon; Elena is who she is and … Bottom line; it shouldn't be of our concerns anymore." Stefan replied, fatalist.

"I know … It's just …" Damon closed his eyes, taking a deep breath into his lungs.

"It's too fresh in your memory?" Stefan came to the conclusion.

"Yah, you can say that." Damon replied, before turning his sight toward his brother. "I'm sorry, I know it's … It is kind of late, and pointless, but … I really am sorry."

"Duly noted." Stefan nodded, toneless.

"You know I was wondering if … Well, I'm taking a plane tomorrow for a commercial gig in Brazil and … Well, if you would want to tag along with your eldest, wiser and way cuter brother?" Damon proposed, smirking; hopeful to bury the hatchet.

Stefan kept his sight on his plate, while remaining silent.

"Forget it; I don't know what came to my mind. I totally understand that you wouldn't want to tag along and…" Damon shook his head, nervously.

"When does the plane take off?" Stefan raised his head, smiling.

"What are you doing here?" Mikael exclaimed, loudly, to his ex-wife; both hands placed on his waist, each side of his tensed body.

"I've been invited and there's nothing you can do about it!" Esther waved a finger underneath his nose.

"Oh for fuck sake, let's turn around, quickly!" Kol suggested to Bonnie; while turning rapidly on his heels, pulling the brunette by the hand at the same time.

"Why? What's happening?" Bonnie questioned; being unaware of "their" close proximity.

"There's wild danger at your right!" Kol replied.

"Kol, young man… Who's responsible for the guests list?" Mikael questioned, while calling him.

"Damn it!" Kol sighed, eyes closed; if only he had ran away in a faster pace?

"Mikael, Esther, what a lovely surprise?" Kol greeted, while pulling Bonnie behind him.

"Why do I have to tag along?" Bonnie questioned, in a whisper, near the young man's right ear.

"If I suffer, you'll suffer as well!" Kol murmured back to the brunette. "What seems to be the problem, Mikael?"

"Her, she is always the problem!" The presenter pointed toward his ex-wife.

"Talk for yourself, drunken man!" Esther rolled her eyes to the blue sky.

"Who's holding a shot of whisky in her hand at the moment?" Mikael shouted back to her face.

"Well, it's not my fault if I need to drown myself in the abyss of alcohol to forget your horrific presence at this party!" Esther lashed out.

"Take what you just said back, right now, or else!" Mikael ordered his ex-wife, taking a further step in her direction.

"Oh yah, or what, you'll reprise Mambo #5, with your tenor voice?" She busted, with a faked laughter, chin raised, sight locked with his.

"I despise you with all I got in me!" Mikael growled.

"I say, right back at you, old man!" Esther replied, suddenly letting a cry escape her lips, while being pulled in the man's arms, before feeling Mikael's lips crash on hers.

"Damn!" Kol commented, speechless.

"Damn is right!" Bonnie added; a mouth opened expression plastered on her face.

"So glad you could make it, mate!" Klaus shook Pharrell Williams's right hand.

"Hey, Klaus; it's no problem, no problem at all, man; it's my pleasure. I owe you one." Pharrell replied, before turning his sight toward Caroline. "And who's this lovely lady?"

"Caroline Forbes." She shook the man's hand, enthusiastically. "I'm a big fan of your songs, Mister Williams."

"Or in better terms my girlfriend." Klaus said proudly, winking; before grabbing Caroline's waist in a territorial manner.

"I was joking; I know perfectly who you are. You're a lucky man, Klaus." Pharrell winked, while shaking Caroline's hand in return. "I'm also a big fan of what the both of you managed to pull in the dance competition."

"Well thank you." Caroline blushed under the compliment.

"And this is my brother, Elijah." Klaus presented, as the said named was approaching.

"Mister Pharrell I suppose?" Elijah greeted, warmly; with a good handshake.

"It's nice to meet you, Mister Mikaelson." Pharrell replied, enthusiastically. "So where is the guest of honor?"

"Actually she is not aware that this party was actually intended for her, or that you'd be present as the entertainer." Elijah explained. "She is a big fan of your material and particularly your latest hit."

"Well; it will be my pleasure to honor her with that song then." Pharrell replied, smiling.

"Lucinda, you need to come with me, ok?" Katherine tried to pull the maid away.

"Dios, Senora Katherine did you see how the caterer service placed the plates, Lucinda needs to put some order in the middle of all this." The Spanish maid rolled her eyes.

"Well, you'll do that later… You should come and see what is happening now. The crowd is regrouping for a special presentation." Katherine grabbed Lucinda's hand to pull her behind her heels.

"What's up everybody?" Pharrell shouted in his microphone, perched in top of the marble stairs, accompany by the loud cheering and clapping of the crowd; with Kol taking care of the sound in the background. "I'm Pharrell Williams and I am happy to be here today!"

"Oh Santa Maria Jesus… Dios, it can't be him?" Lucinda exclaimed, before twirling on herself a few times.

"What is she doing, marking her territory like a dog?" Elijah asked Katherine, while shrugging his shoulders in amazement.

"She is excited, Elijah!" Katherine replied, while sweeping tears on her face.

"Maria, come!" Elijah grabbed the maid's right hand, before pulling her on his heels.

"Dios, Senor Mikaelson, what are you doing?" Maria exclaimed in shock, when she saw him climb the stairs. "I can't go upstairs? I can't meet Pharrell Williams dressed like I'm dressed now?" She explained, frantically.

"You look fine. And, you love this singer and his song … I don't remember the damn title?" Elijah replied, while holding his pace, and turning his sight toward her.

"Only you, Senor Mikaelson, on this entire planet, couldn't remember that song." She rolled her eyes to the blue sky.

"I've been invited in this garden party as a gift presented to a special lady…" Pharrell continued his speech.

"You did not do this for me, Senor Mikaelson, please tell me you did not?" Lucinda shook her head, tears filling her eyes.

"It's way better than a diamond ring, no?" Elijah let a timid smile spread on his lips.

"Lucinda is not that special for you to do this for me, I can't accept this." She shook her head, tears running fluently on her cheeks.

"Then you're highly mistaking the huge place you're taking in both mine and my brother's hearts." Elijah replied, truthfully.

"… Her name is …" Pharrell started, before having the microphone being taken from his hand.

"Lucinda Constella Lydia Maria Rodriguez, bring your "ass" in here!" Klaus shouted into the microphone, under the loud cheering of the crowd.

"Go up the stairs, Lucinda; today it's your day!" Elijah pushed the maid in her back, to help her climb the stairs.

"Dios, you all came here for me?" Lucinda exclaimed in the microphone. "Nah, you all came for the food and the booze, did you?" She added, under the loud laughter of the crowd. "Mister Pharrell, is this you?" She turned her head toward the singer.

"It's me, body, mind and soul." The singer replied, nodding.

"Just in case, Lucinda needs to verify, I could be having a mirage just now?" She informed, before pinching one of the singer's bottom cheeks, under the wild burst of laugher of the crowd.

"No she didn't!" Caroline raised both hands in front of her mouth, before bursting into laughter herself.

"She has guts that woman!" Bonnie added, laughing.

"You have no idea how much." Caroline winked at her friend.

"You're real, Senor Pharrell, I can confirm." The maid nodded, smiling.

"This song is for you, Lucinda, can you present it?" Pharrell suggested.

"Lucinda will say this … When life is hard, you smile; and you do whatever will make you happy." She exclaimed in her microphone, before handing it to the singer.

It might seem crazy what I'm about to say
Sunshine Lucinda's here, you can take away

"Whoooo…." Lucinda cheered, while waving her arms.

I'm a hot air balloon; I could go to space
With the air, like I don't care baby by the way

Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

"Because I'm happy" Lucinda sang in the microphone, when Pharrel put it in front of her mouth.

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

"Would you care to dance, Miss Forbes?" Klaus whispered in Caroline's left ear, a huge grin appearing on her face at the sound of his voice.

"I don't have the habit to dance with stranger; Mister?" She replied, while turning on her heels to face him.

"Mikaelson, Klaus Mikaelson to be more exact. Maybe you could make an exception with me?" Klaus suggested, promptly encircling her waist with one arm, while grabbing her chin with his right hand, before slowly leaning his head.

"Perhaps I could give you a chance; maybe you're not bad as a dancer, though your accent is atrocious?" She grinned, before closing her eyes, only to feel his lips brush hers.

"Just know that I'm not bad in many areas of expertise." He mouthed the words, smiling, between their exchanges of kisses, under caroline's laughter.

Here come bad news talking this and that
Yeah, give me all you got, don't hold back
Yeah, well I should probably warn you I'll be just fine
Yeah, no offense to you don't waste your time
Here's why

Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I'm happy

"Can I have this dance, Lucinda?" Elijah proposed to "his" maid, who had descended the stairs, before handing his right hand to bring the Spanish woman in his arms.

"Dios, look at us both, Senor Mikaelson, we are dancing?" She raised her teary eyes to address a smile to her employer.

"I believe we are, Lucinda." Elijah replied, smiling, while making the maid twirl in his arms.

"But there is another senora that's waiting for you to invite her to dance." Lucinda titled her head toward Katherine, before slowly pushing herself away from Elijah's arms. "Go!" She pushed him toward the brunette.

"You've captured my heart once more, today, Mister Mikaelson." Katherine confessed, tears rolling on her cheeks.

"You've captured mine ten years ago, and since then, it has been yours forever, Katherine." Elijah confessed, slowly pulling the young woman in his arms, before capturing her lips in a passionate kiss.

Happy, bring me down
Can't nothing, bring me down
Love is too high, bring me down
Can't nothing, bring me down
I said bring me down
Can't nothing, bring me down
Love is too high, bring me down

"Hey handsome!" Bonnie greeted, softly murmuring the words in Kol's left ear, which was at the moment playing with his sound equipment.

"Hey! What are you doing up here, gorgeous?" Kol turned his sight, in surprise, toward Bonnie, before leaning his head to capture her lips. "You know that you're making me very happy?" He added, grinning.

"Well, happy me, then…Because, you're making me very happy too." She grinned, before encircling his neck of both arms, only to kiss him back.

"… And that is the all story; Senora Sylvia and Senora Sophia." Lucinda announced, while bending her head and upper body on top of both of the babies' cribs.

"In the meantime, your uncle Klaus and Aunt Caroline got married and have opened a professional acting and dancing school for little girls. Yes, little girls like the both of you, but a bit older. All of those young senoras want to learn how to dance and act, and later continue their careers as actresses. That is why Senor Klaus and Senora Caroline opened that school, to guide them, with the help of your "mamá" as an agent. Oh, Dios! I forgot to tell you that your aunt Caroline is pregnant! Yes, yes … She's having a "niño", a boy, they just learnd the gender of the baby last week." She added, a huge smile spreading on her lips. "How do I know?" The Spanish maid arched an eyebrow. "Well, I was standing by your uncle's side in the examination room at the clinic. Senor Klaus was against it at first, but I told him, that it was nothing that Lucinda did not see before." She rolled her eyes, with a dismissal gesture of her right hand. "And now I'm back to work for your "mamá y papá" as their nursemaid to take care of both of their little princesses; yes! Or course, I mean the both of you." She grabbed both of their little hands. "What are you saying Senora Sophia? Yes the "tonto" finally understood who the boss was! What are you saying Senora Sylvia? Of course Lucinda is the boss! After all that I've just told the both of you, you still doubt it, Dios!" She rolled her eyes, a smile still blessing her lips. "You are really the daughters of your father. "She commented, caressing their little heads; under their giggling sounds and clapping of their little hands. "You daddy is going to spoil the both of you until you can't breathe for air, that much, Lucinda knows. You and your mother are the most precious treasures of his life."

Lucinda strengthened her body in a full standing position, before turning on her heels to close the nursery's light, grabbing the door handle to leave both babies to their afternoon naps, before gently closing the panel behind her back.

She directed her steps in the upstairs corridor, unexpectedly holding her pace to raise her head, only to narrow her sight up-front.

"You…" Lucinda pointed a finger in front of her standing position, one closed fist now placed on the left side of her hips. "Yes, yes … All of you, the senoras behind their laptops?" She called them. "You think Lucinda don't know that you are here, spying on me, mm? You think I don't know what you're doing every second of every day, mm? Dios! You should know better by now!" She leaned her head toward the back, before letting sounds of laughter escape her lips. "Senoras, if you also think that you've seen the last of your Lucinda … Think again!" She added, winking, before blowing a kiss to all of them.

The End

It's the end of the road for the "1, 2, 3 … Cha, cha, cha" fan fiction story, my dear readers. And, I know, don't tell me … It's a bitter-sweet moment. I've cried … Why do I always have to cry each time I finish a fiction? But, Lucinda managed to stir up feelings inside of me, I laughed and then I cried, and that is what life is all about, stirring up feelings in the deepness of our souls. And I truly hope that with this fiction I was able to bring a bit of sunshine and laughter into your life. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unconditional love of this story, and for your love of this original female character that I've created, because it came at me in such a lovely unexpected way, and touched me in the deepness of my heart and soul…Again, thank you, guys!

Bless all of you,

Lovely Vero

Take good note: For the readers of "Sweet Kisses from Russia", I'm reprising the writing of that fiction in a couple of days. I'm very excited about it!

Thank you for all the anonymous reviews received, guys!

My answers are below.

Marcia: It's me who should thank you for sticking around and for reading my fictions, sweetie. But, I took your compliments to heart, and you made me blush, thanks a lot!

Guest: I'm so glad that you've enjoyed the last update, and as you say: hahaha...Lucinda ;)

NikMik: Ok, sweetie; you can "Always" withdraw a competition until the "end"! Camille and Marcel could have easily go against Bill's intention, but they did not, because they knew he was in his right, still they could have only to contest, and have the chance to win. The Network had put investigators on the case, and they had finally found the missing pieces and what had happened with this article. As for Klaus and Caroline, by defending Camille and Marcel, and keeping their mouths shut, they went against the policy of the Network, therefore; they would have been asked to leave the competition, by accepting Bill's plan, nobody lose their faces in front of millions of viewers. I hope I've helped you understand? Thank you so much for your nice, long reviews that you have left me on this fiction, it was always a joy to read them all.

VampDobreva: Thanks sweetie; happy you had so much fun reading the last update ;)

If I have forgotten someone in the responses to the anonymous reviews, it was not intentional, and I thank you for it!
