A/N: It's the finale. The finale of Re: Kingdom Hearts. Which may not be the longest chapter, but still, it's the finale. The finale that ends this story. The finale that I won't shut up about and have already said the word "finale" six times already.

I own nothing. ABSOLUTELY nothing, but Penelope.

Here is the finale of Re: Kingdom Hearts!

Chapter 30: A Dark Finale? Pt 2

Penelope and Sora flew in and began to attack Ansem, and Penelope noticed he was likely at least twice as bigger than he was before, and he was wielding a purple double-bladed lightsaber sword thing.

And man, did Ansem say a lot of things that neither Penelope nor Sora scared about except they had to use it to predict his attack pattern.

"Aeroga!" Penelope cast and Aeroga spell on herself and onto Sora for further defense from attacks.

"TAKE HACK N' SLASH, BUDDY!" Sora and Penelope went to attacking Ansem, except then he said, "Turn to darkness!"

And Penelope quickly realized that was a double-bladed Soul Eater Blade, not a light saber, when he used that one attack on them that made her mistaken it for a light saber.

Then he began to fire the purple beams at them again and Penelope and Sora had to fly around to avoid them.

"Face the light!" Penelope fired beams of light at Ansem.

"Hit em, Sora!" Sora went all hack and slash on Ansem.

Afterwards, Penelope joined in, but at the point where the Aeroga spell wore off, Penelope had to set up another one. "Aeroga!" The rather helpful wind barrier that helped absorb some attacks was set up around them again.

"Turn to darkness!" Ansem shouted before attacking and then Penelope said, "Hey Ansem, quit doing ballet while you attack. I can't take you seriously when you do so!"

Ansem fired those purple beams at Penelope. "JUST HOW MUCH HEALTH DOES THIS F***** HAVE?!" Penelope asked in anger.

Sora and Ansem went silent and stopped their attacks. "You know what. SUBMIT!" Penelope proceeded to fire beams of light a few times and she found she was out of MP when she tried to use another Aeroga spell.

So, Penelope had to use ether before going back into battle. When they were close to defeating Ansem in this phase of this battle, he asked, "Still confused? Maybe this will enlighten you!"

The beams began to fire at them, but Penelope replied, "I'm not confused, moron! And don't you mean "endarken"? You yourself said that there isn't a glimmer of light in this place!"

At some point, they finished the first phase of this part of the battle. However, it wasn't the end quite yet.

Ansem dismissed his double Soul Eater and crossed his arms…AND A HEARTLESS EMBLEM SEAL APPEARED ON HIM.

So now, you could say he was sleeping beauty, but with a Heartless Emblem seal there so you couldn't reach him.

Then that northern lights portal appeared and Sora flew in with Penelope following.

And then they were in a pitch black room with a bright blue stripe (or possibly stripes) that lit up the floor. This bright blue was the only way to see in her, and it allowed them to fight the multiple shadow heartless that kept appearing.

At some point, this gem appeared, and Sora told Penelope to sit back and let him deal with it. Upon shattering the gem, an explosion initiated.

Outside on the Kraken…err…World of Chaos, it glowed red and that northern light portal thing appeared, and it ejected Sora and Penelope. As Ansem still had the Heartless emblem seal on him as he rested (?), they had to deal with the Guardian.

When darkness went around Ansem to protect him, all sorts of attacks were fired at them. And the best part?

Well, there was a barrier around Ansem and the Guardian, so Penelope had to destroy the things that were firing at them.

And it took a while, as of course, they were getting fired at by those homing shots. After defeating those, another portal, which was apparently called the Portal of Darkness, or the P.O.D as an acronym, opened up.

They heard Goofy say, "Sora!" and they saw Goofy in this dark room, with a blue stripe pattern, and they found that they had to face more heartless.

However, it was good Goofy was back, because that gave Sora and Penelope more help in this long battle. They had to face a few waves of Heartless before destroying the next gem, which allowed them to go into yet another phase of this battle.

Once again, the three were ejected out of yet another portal and what did they have to fight next?

Oh, well, the monster-head thing on the ship that they quickly found out was alive.

It didn't seem to really attack them really much. But it didn't help that white beams kept hitting them from the sky.

"Quit it! Will you pause for at least ten seconds?!" Penelope asked.

The monster continued to attack and Penelope sighed. At some point, Goofy got K.O.'d and Penelope and Sora had to put up with fighting this thing.

Despite the attack pattern was simple to figure out, Sora had to figure out how to time his attacks.

"Aeroga!" Penelope put a defensive shield up on her party members again. After a bit, the thing revealed another attack, meaning Penelope had to figure out yet another strategy.

Though the damned thing was making itself harder to attack. But when they defeated it, the monstrous head moved around in pain before its jaw dropped, and a P.O.D opened.

So it was completely natural that they went in…

…despite the fact that lasers were being fired at them, but that didn't matter much, right?

Then they got Donald back in the pitch black room with the bright blue stripes which turned out to be a neon blue heartless emblem.

To add on, they had to fight a bunch of really tough Heartless, which Penelope assumed were Invisibles, since they were getting their butts handed to them.

"You know what? Stay back!" Penelope ordered Sora, Donald and Goofy.

"But Penelope, it's dangerous!" Sora told her, actually speaking in this battle.

"It won't be. Radiant Starstorm!" Penelope wipes out the tough Heartless with the spell and allowed Sora, Donald and Goofy to break the gem, which of course, exploded like the other gems, and afterwards, the four, flew out of the mouth of the monstrous head that made itself a pain to fight.

And the head? Well, it exploded afterwards.

And because they broke those three gem-like things, a barrier on the World of Chaos faded and they were able to fly into the core of the ship…

…despite the fact that once again, lasers were being fired at them.

"Sora, Donald, Goofy, you handle the main core there and I'll handle breaking the artillery." Penelope told the three.

"Are you sure you can break those alone?" Sora asked Penelope. The girl smiled at him.

"Well Sora, does it look like I have a Keyblade or no?" Penelope questioned Sora.

"Okay, Penelope. Be careful!" As Sora was hitting the squishy, yet bouncy, core, Penelope handled breaking the things that were firing at them, and it worked.

Then Donald was healing the team and Goofy was helping Sora and also helping Penelope.

At some point, the managed to destroy the artillery firing at them as well as that squishy, bouncy core, and they managed to get to the final phase of the battle.

That was when that Heartless seal that allowed Ansem to rest broke and he emerged again, uncrossing his arms and he summoned his sword again.

And the first thing he said was "All shall be extinguished."

"You should've said, "What have you done to my ship while I was asleep?!" idiot!" Penelope yelled at him.

"She has a point!" Sora yelled at him in agreement with Penelope. So, when they flew in and began to attack him, Ansem revealed a new attack.

First, he said, "Darkness!" and held this orb over his head, though Sora, Donald, Goofy and Penelope whacked him, and as he began firing lasers, Penelope, being the one to cast the "Aeroga" spells, had to cast yet another one.

Actually he revealed a few new attacks, which made Penelope have to strategize, but overall, the battle with Ansem was practically the same, but it didn't mean that when they finally defeated Ansem, it wasn't satisfying.

Because let me tell you, after how difficult the whole battle was, it really was satisfying!

When they defeated Ansem, his ship began to explode and light began to glow from Ansem… and there was a huge explosion!

Afterwards, from the darkness, Ansem floated up, and Sora, Donald, Goofy and Penelope stayed in air, floating in front of him.

"Its is futile. The Keyblade alone cannot seal the door to darkness." Ansem told them before turning around and shouting at that door, "Kingdom Hearts! Fill me with the power of darkness…"

The large, majestic door began to open, and darkness began to come out from what was sealed behind that door.

Ansem covered his eyes before moving his arms back as he said, "Supreme darkness…"

Sora then told Ansem, "You're wrong. I know now, without a doubt. Kingdom Hearts… is light!" Penelope stared at Sora with unapproval.

The darkness from that door was replaced with immense beams of light, and Ansem tried to cover his eyes. Making awkward noises, Ansem said, with his voice hilariously cracking as he said it, "The light…so…bright…but why?"

That immense light extinguished Ansem…but only for now.

"Sora, I hate to ruin your moment, but I kind of have to say something against what you just said."

Donald sighed. "Here we go…"

"If Kingdom Hearts were only light, and if darkness came from people's hearts, and if there was only light in the world, then isn't Kingdom Hearts technically light and darkness?" She asked him.

"Penelope, I said that Kingdom Hearts is light. And it is. I mean, I just defeated Ansem with what I just said." Sora argued.

"But seriously, how is it just light? If I'm the Guardian of Light and Darkness, wouldn't it mean that Kingdom Hearts is light and darkness?" Penelope wouldn't stop asking questions.

Sora, Donald and Goofy began to make their way for the door, with Penelope shouting after them, "The concept of Kingdom Hearts being just light is illogical! Every light has its shadow, as light can create shadows!"

The three didn't listen to Penelope and Penelope giggled. "Ah, there's no point. Sometimes, logic just doesn't work." Penelope then went after her friends, with a smile on her face.

However, they now needed to close the door. "Come on!" Sora told Donald and Goofy.

Penelope decided to help too, as it was hard for three to just be the ones to close a huge a** door like this.

And it was really hard to close this door. When Goofy looked to see what was behind it, he gasped. However, Donald glared at Goofy and ordered him, "Stop staring and keep pushing!"

But Donald then joined him in looking and he also gasped.

Tons of Heartless began to spawn behind the door and Donald and Goofy panicked. "The Heartless!?" They asked in fear and surprise, quickly finding that Ansem's words were maybe now taking effect.

"Hurry!" Donald cried out.

"I can't…" Sora said weakly. However, Sora noticed Riku's hand and he told him, "Don't give up!"

Riku then revealed himself and Penelope and Sora, as well as Donald and Goofy saw him.

"Come on, Sora, Penelope! Together, we can do it!"

"Okay!" Sora said in response.

"Riku, what are you doing?!" Penelope asked in surprise. "If we close this door, you will be trapped behind it!"

Riku didn't listen and he continued to help close the heavy as hell door.

However, huge pureblood heartless kept spawning from behind the door. Donald gave up quickly. "Its hopeless!"

Something destroyed the darkness and light began to glow. Goofy and Donald gasped.

Mickey Mouse then emerged, light glowing in the process. "Your Majesty!" They shouted.

He took out his Keyblade, which was the opposite colors of Sora's. "Now Sora, and you too, Guardian Penelope! Let's close this door for good!"

"Is that Mickey Mouse?!" Penelope asked in surprise.

"Close it, quick!" Donald ordered Sora and Penelope.

"But…" Sora began to protest.

"Don't worry. There will always be a door to the light." Mickey told Sora.

"Sora, you can trust King Mickey." Goofy told him, trying to relieve his friend of his doubts.

"You mean, that IS Mickey Mouse?!" Penelope asked in shock. Riku saw that the Heartless were coming and they really needed to speed up on closing the door.

"Now! They're coming!" Riku told everyone.

Before they finally closed the door, Mickey thanked his friends. "Donald, Goofy, thank you."

And Riku said, "Take care of her." To Sora in the end, though Penelope figured he meant to take care of Kairi, but maybe her too.

Sora nodded, and finally, they closed the massive door, sealing Riku and Mickey behind it. Sora and Penelope proceeded to seal it on one side and Mickey sealed it from the other.

And when it glowed with immense amounts of light, the majestic white door vanished.

When Sora turned around, he saw Kairi, who had no clue where the hell she was.

Sora ran towards her, and Penelope then turned and decided she needed to say what she wanted to say before, and followed Sora.

Donald wanted to come too, but Goofy stopped him, and the two had rather sad expressions on their faces.

Sora, Kairi and Penelope met together and Sora cried, "Kairi!"

"Sora!"

The two came together and it shook, and Kairi nearly fell over, but Sora caught her.

"Kairi, remember what you said before? I'm always with you too."

Sora and Kairi's were being pulled away from each other. "I'll come back to you! I promise!"

"I know you will!" Kairi told Sora.

"MUSIC, BEFORE YOU BEGIN, WAIT JUST A DAMNED MOMENT!" Penelope yelled, managing to halt it, though they were still separating.

"Kairi…before you go, I'm really sorry. For everything I said…though I still don't like you..."

The music cut Penelope off and Sora and Kairi were separated. And Penelope didn't get to finish her apology.

Penelope gasped. "DAMN IT!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

Then the credits began to roll and for whatever reason, because Penelope had messed up the fourth wall before Sora and Kairi separated, she was standing there as the credits rolled.

"What the… WHERE AM I?!"

"This is the credits sequence." The ball of light answered.

"The credit sequence?! No, no. I should be with Sora, Donald and Goofy!" She indicated.

"I'm well aware of that. You'll be joining them when the credits end." Penelope frowned.

"When is that…?"

It suddenly skipped and Penelope appeared with Sora, Donald and Goofy in a bright place, though she also scared them.

Also, Donald and Goofy were in their classic outfits.

They walked along a path, and Donald asked, "Well, now what do we do?"

"We gotta find Riku and King Mickey." Sora answered, with his hands behind his head.

"But, uh, where do we start lookin' for that there door to the light?" Goofy asked.

The three thought about it, and Penelope shrugged. "We'll just have to see."

The four stopped as they didn't know, and Sora looked to see Pluto, Mickey's dog, with a letter.

"Pluto?" Donald asked.

"Hey Pluto. Where have you been?" Goofy asked the dog.

Then they noticed he had a letter. "Gawrsh! That's the King's seal!" Goofy pointed out.

"Hey, have you seen King Mickey?" Sora asked Pluto.

Pluto began to guide them down the path. Donald and Goofy smiled and Sora ran ahead, "Guys, let's go!"

Penelope said, "We're going to end up starting a new adventure, aren't we?"

Her question was answered when the three began running. Though when Penelope began to go after them, she hit a wall, and she saw the "The End" screen.

"…The hell is this?! Why does this keep happening to me?!" Penelope asked in anger.

"Gosh, Penelope! That's the "The End" screen for Kingdom Hearts." Mickey pointed out as he walked in.

"The what? This isn't a video game!" She shouted.

"I know. This might be because you broke the fourth wall so much and that you stepped into the credits sequence." Mickey told her.

"Then how do I get out of here?" Penelope asked Mickey.

"I don't know. When you see the screen when you finish Kingdom Hearts, the only way to resume playing the game is by turning off the Playstation 2. However, this isn't a game, and the literal final save point was at the Final Rest."

Penelope sighed. "How'd you get in here then?"

"Me? I found a door. If you excuse me, I need to be going to Castle Oblivion so we can resume the story. But we can't start the next part without you." Mickey went through the exit door and Penelope frowned.

"You know what? Sue it! If you want to get things done, you will probably have to use brute force…LIKE THIS!" Penelope tore her way out and found herself where she was again, except Sora, Donald and Goofy were far ahead of her.

"HEY! WAIT FOR ME!" Penelope yelled.

And thus, the Guardian of Light and Darkness sprinted after her friends, and the first part of their journey, after some fourth wall breaking, ended.

A/N: Thank you all for reading "Re: Kingdom Hearts". I was working hard to get the ending out for you guys, and I did it.

If you noticed, I didn't respond to reviews at the beginning, because I planned to save them for the end, since for this chapter, I wasn't planning to respond to people.

I'd like to thank everyone for reviewing, especially Auraheart, Silent Searcher, and Clara the Clear, as well as everyone else.

I'd also like to thank everyone who followed and favorited the story as well as everyone else who read it.

Lastly, I'd like to thank FernuxBlader for allowing me to have Drake in this story. I am unsure if Drake will be appearing in later installments, but if he appears in Re: Chain of Memories, I'll have to ask FernuxBlader about it.

Now, before anyone asks, I'll tell you that I already started writing the next installment in this series, "Kingdom Hearts: Re: Chain of Memories".

I plan for it to have roughly 9-12 chapters. Why?

I don't intend on basing Re: Chain of Memories on the game, as it would take too long. In fact, I intend on basing it on the manga version, but it is also going to be based on the game.

Another reason why there is going to be 9-12 chapters is because I'm splitting up the stories between three characters.

There's Sora and Riku's stories, which are once again, mainly based on the manga, and then there's Penelope's story.

Yes, you heard me. Penelope will not be with Sora or Riku during their adventures in Castle Oblivion. She'll appear sometimes in their stories.

Also, as you know, Sora and Riku have their friends, Donald and Goofy (with Sora…for most of it), and of course, King Mickey (for Riku).

Penelope has the spirit who guides her. I never revealed her name, and it won't be revealed for a while. And yes, I said the ball of light was a girl.

Like usual, please review if you'd like, I'd rather you do not flame, and please tell me how I can improve, especially because I want to know what I can do when I write Re: Chain of Memories.

Once again, thank you all.

On normal circumstances, I'd say, "I'll see you all in the next chapter!", but I can't.

So, I will see you all in Re: Chain of Memories, or respectively, in Castle Oblivion.

Circi, out!

P.S. This is the first Kingdom Hearts story I have technically completed. YAY!

Bye guys!
