Queuing for fast food was not the way Hiccup wanted to spend his half of his evening with but with Astrid's constant nagging for food he had grudgingly agreed. "Astrid better be grateful for this," he grumbled as he massaged his aching neck (courtesy of waiting for an hour) and waited for the customer before him to take their orders.
A minute later, it was finally his turn. He turned to look at the menu board. What was it that Astrid wanted again? Was it a McChicken spicy? I'll just order that, Hiccup thought. He turned to face the staff at the counter who was busy keeping the change in the cashier. "I would like a McChicken spicy and a-"His words were cut short as the staff behind the counter turned to look at him. Even with the cap hiding half of his pale silvery hair, Hiccup would have recognized him anywhere. It was Jack, the boy from his History class. "Yes," Jack drawled, his eyebrows arched up as he gestured for Hiccup to go on with his order. "And a smile," Hiccup ended lamely.
Jack slowly took off his cap, revealing more of his beautiful silvery hair. "I'm sorry but that is currently out of stock," He replied, making Hiccup frown. "But," he continued before using his left hand to yank Hiccup forward and use his cap to cover their faces. Their lips touched and Hiccup felt himself blush as he stared into Jack's sky blue eyes.
Slowly, Jack released him, a smirk on his face. "Is that enough in compensation for not providing the customer with a smile," he asked Hiccup, amusement written all over his face. Hiccup nodded mutely, his face still red from the previous incident.
It wasn't long before Hiccup left the fast food restaurant, his hand clutching Astrid's fast food. I'm definitely going to buy fast food every day from now on, Hiccup thought, it's definitely worthwhile!
