Chapter 25: Match and apology part 2

Chaotic: Carnival of Confusion

Fireball exploded in the carnival. Blak'drin ran as fast as he could with his four legs and dodged the fireball. He panicked while the fire exploded behind him. Blak'drin realised something fast when a Fire Orb hit his back. He crashed against a wall and he grunted.

"Ouch." Blak'drin grunted in pain. "Wait. Kepiaan used water attack before the location effect. So he used fire attack now..."

"Lavalanche!" Kepiaan shouted.

Blak'drin was hit by the hot magma and he screamed in pain.

"Hum...It smells crab meat." Kepiaan commented.

"I'm cooked now." Blak'drin grunted in pain.

"Time to end this match." Kepiaan grinned.

"Flame Orb!" Blak'drin shouted. He threw a fireball at Kepiaan who was lunched away.

He hit the ground and a building felt on him.

"Argh!"

"Guess I was still confused." Blak'drin said as he stood up. "I confused the effect of the Carnival of Confusion. I thought I could use wind attack. No matter I failed. It was Fire attack I can use."

"You just got it because of me."

"True. I was still a little too slow. Coral spike!" Blak'drin shouted.

He threw coral at Kepiaan who received it right at his face. Kepiaan called his cyclance and he pointed it at the M'arrillian. He threw a blast of wind and it hit Blak'drin who flew against the wall.

Blak'drin threw magma at Kepiaan, but he jumped over it and countered with a fireball and finished the M'arrillian who exploded into numbers.

Remi grunted and looked at Keipaan turning back to Marcus.

"I beat the crab out of you Remi." Marcus said with a smile. "You're a good player. I cannot really believe what M'arrilliankiller said about their tribe. They are stronger than they seemed."

"They shouldn't be underestimated because they focused on their mind control ability."

"Okay. Let's continue this match shall we?"

"Alright." Remi replied.

Deep Mine: Gal'Drad house

"If you want to tell me how you felt, make it fast. I don't want you to waste my time." Gal'Drad said to Neth'uar.

"Alright. Because of what I did to you, I had no more appetite. I can't sleep or think of anything anymore. It's the guilt overtaking me." Neth'uar replied.

"That's very short." Gal'Drad commented. "At least, you didn't make me lose my time."

"It's also what I told Remi when I talked to him."

"So you think that showing your guilt will make me pity you enough to forgive you?" Gal'Drad asked.

"No. I just want to tell you everything I hold in my heart," Neth'uar explained. "I want to say that I'm sorry for everything I've done to you. I know just apologising after what I did to you, but I believe it will be the first step to obtain your forgiveness."

Gal'Drad looked at the other chieftain and said nothing for a while. He dropped his head after a while and grunted. His body turned to his original green color, but he was still angry against Neth'uar.

"I cannot forgive you for what you've done," Gal'Drad answered.

Neth'uar knew about it. He dropped his head and closed his eyes. "I know you cannot. If you have nothing to say to me, I shall leave you alone." He started to turn around.

"But!" Neth'uar stopped when he heard the « but ». He looked at Gal'Drad who moved his tail a little nervously. "But, I'll try to stop hating you so much. I won't forgive you immediately. You need to do a lot if you want me to eventually make me consider forgiving you."

Neth'uar body twitched at the reply. He looked at Gal'Drad without saying anything for a minute. Gal'Drad started to feel pretty much uncomfortable with his glare. He wondered if he died in midair. He waved his hand in front of him and he didn't react. Tears started to fall from the eyes of Neth'uar.

"THANK YOU GAL'DRAD! I'LL MAKE IT UP FOR YOU!" Neth'uar screamed with joy. "I'll do everything to obtain your forgiveness! I will make sure to never do anything stupid again!"

"Stop shouting please!"

"Sorry! I mean sorry. Thank you so much Gal'Drad," he bowed to him.

Gal'Drad felt nervous when he saw him bowing like that and he looked away.

"I just stop hating you with my guts. Don't get your hopes too high," Gal'Drad said.

"I know," Neth'uar said, but the light of joy was clear in his eyes. "If you need anything. Do not hesitate to ask me."

"*Sigh* I'll need your support to the council if I want to become the Oligarch. Can you do it?" Gal'Drad asked.

"If course! I'll stand by your side no matter what! You don't have to be worry at all!" Neth'uar answered.

"Good. Now you can go, I still need to think about what I should do," Gal'Drad asked Neth'uar.

Neth'uar nodded and flew out of his house. Gal'Drad looked at him flying away and he had a question in his mind: "I wonder how Remi match is going?"

Chaotic: Crellan Dome

Remi watched his last creature, just like his opponent Marcus. Remi only had Gal'Drad left while Marcus only had Glapaal. If it was only based on statistic, Gal'Drad had the upper hand, but Glapaal had two mugician. Marcus also had the average to pick up the location.

"A M'arrillian against a Danian," Remi whispered.

"Alright. Looks like this is the final round. Let's see who's going to be the best right Remi?" Marcus told him with a smile.

"Yes. I'm not intending to lose the final round," Remi said.

"We will see about that soon," Marcus told him. "I have fun with you and your team. Maybe we should keep contact. After this match, we should hang out and eventually had a rematch. I'm sure next time; you'll have an entire team of M'arrillian."

Remi smiled and he nodded. "Yes."

"Let's finish this." Marcus spun the wheels. "Queen's Gate."

Glapaal attack Gal'Drad!" Marcus shouted.

Marcus transformed into Glapaal. He was a danian with red exoskeleton with yellow eyes, yellow part of his exoskeleton and he had three mandibles around his mouth. He walked on four legs and had two arms.

"Let the final battle begin," Marcus said.

Port Court

M'arrilliankiller looked around him and he heard a few of them saying things he disliked.

"Did you see those M'arrillians?" one player asked.

"He was tough. This player doesn't use mind control and he's fighting at the same level than Marcus," another one said by the side of the first one.

"Maybe the M'arrillians aren't that bad. He's lucky to scan so many of them. How did he do it?" another player wondered.

M'arrilliankiller hit his table with his fist and shouted: "Are you idiots?! Those are the same creatures that almost destroyed Perim and coded more than thousands of chaotic players!"

"Maybe, but the other tribes did those things too. Marcus said that we should judge anyone without knowing them. It would have been the same if someone with Aa'une ideas was present in another tribe," the first player said.

"They are pure monsters who should all be killed," M'arrilliankiller grunted. "This is what they deserve!"

"That Remi is a kind guy. He wouldn't use them if they were monsters," one of them said. "He must have talk to them for a long time."

M'arrilliankiller looked at the screen and said in his mind: That's it! He wins too many matches with M'arrillians. He's contaminating their mind with those lies. They believed M'arrillians are like the other tribes. I have to show them M'arrillians aren't the best creatures and most players will lose the few interest they have in them.

He looked at the match and hoped Magus defeated Remi.

Chaotic: Queen's gate

Gal'Drad was thrown against the door leading to an elevator guiding to the Queen's gate. He started falling when the tail grabbed against something and prevented his falling.

"That was close," Gal'Drad commented. "Coral Spikes!" He threw corals at Glapaal when he charged at the M'arrillian. He hit right at the face of the danian.

The danian walked away and grunted in pain as he countered with a Viper Slash. Gal'Drad jumped back in the room and rolled on the ground. He moved his legs and threw a flash kick right at the face of the danian. Glapaal grunted in pain, but he activated a mugic and the injuries were healed.

"Ah! Come on!" Gal'Drad complained.

He saw Ironballs coming at him and they hit his chest and the stomach. Gal'Drad grunted in pain and took a few steps back. He jumped to the left and dodged a few others attack. He hid behind a wall and saw that he didn't have a chance to win the fight.

Gal'Drad raised his hand and the Wave sword materialised in his hand. He prepared his battlegear and waited for him to come to him. When he saw the danian moved closer, he charged at the danian and slashed with his sword. It threw a wave of water and hit the chest of the Danian. Gal'Drad took the initiative and threw a tidal wave right at the danian and defeated him.

Remi shouted in victory as his M'arrillian body disappeared. He looked at Marcus who gave him a thumb up.

"You're really good Remi. I thought I was about to beat you when you got me by surprise," Marcus admitted.

"I know. I'm just lucky to beat you in the final round," Remi replied. He chuckled a little.

"I was a fabulous match. Maybe the next time, I'll defeat you," Marcus said.

"I'll have an entire team of M'arrillians next time," Remi said.

Marcus showed his hand and looked at Remi: "I'll have my revenge next time. Let's keep in touch."

Remi nodded and shook Marcus hand: "Until next time."

They both walked out of the drome and went their separate ways. Remi decided to join his friends while Marcus did the same with his own.

"Another victory for me. I'm finally on a winning streak. I hope I'll stay that way for a while," Remi said with a smile. He remembered when he was always losing his match in Chaotic when playing with Underworlders. "Ironically, it was because I was losing that I met Gal'Drad."

He continued walking until he crossed another boy of his age who told him: "It's getting annoying that you always win VictoryR."

Remi stopped, but didn't turn around to face the one who was talking to him. He said: "M'arrilliankiller. What do you want?"

"I am getting tired that you always win your match VictoryR. You played with those monsters for too long," he said.

"You don't know them. They are really nice when you know them. M'arrilliankiller, when you encounter them, it was surely during the war. You know history right?"

"Right."

"Then you should know that everyone are worse during a war. They are not the same outside of the war and-"

"Don't give me that bullshit VictoryR. Because of you, more players are interested in them. It's just a little, but you are starting something I'm not going to let you do. I'm challenging you into a match VictoryR. In two weeks, you versus me in the Beta drome in a six vs six match. You better bring your best M'arrillians creatures because I'm going to bring my best creatures. You're M'arrillian tribe will end up in pieces after the match."

Remi wasn't affected by M'arrilliankiller words. He looked at him and thought about it. He replied: "I'll accept your challenge. I will defeat you in that match. They are not monsters and I'm not telling you any bullshit. See you in two weeks. Then I'm going to look at you."

Remi walked away just like M'arrilliankiller.

"I guess I have to see Gal'Drad and tell him what happened," Remi said.
