Too sore of a thumb

To melt into the earth

Too plain in a world of colour

To ever stand out.

Too mundane in every single way

To erase and replace his famous name

Too much of a dreamer

To ever stop wishing

Too much of a cynic (or a realist?)

To believe in myself

Too much of an optimist

To ever stop believing in you

Too much of a mess

To ever hold a candle to him

Too cleaned up

To be mysterious under any angle

Too young

To ever get in the books

Too old

To have never read them.

Too bitter

To be happy for you

Too kind

To remind you that he already burned you (fire or no fire)

Too lonely of a boy

To look at the world as if it's filled with options

Too happy by your side (even though I'm not there often)

To ever need any.

Too invisible

To ever catch your (or any) eye

Invisible enough

To have read and known you

Too knowing of your soul

To ever need more than a smile

Too knowing of your heart

To ever want anything less.
