Hey guys! So this is just a little fluff. I hope you enjoy.
"Do you remember where we're going?" Fitz looked at Ellie through the rear view mirror.
"The zoo!" She smiled at him.
"Who's coming with us?"
"Olivia!" Ellie replied excitedly. "Are we almost there?" She asked looking out of her window.
"Almost. 5 more minutes."
"5 minutes." She repeated and held up her hand.
They continued down the road towards Olivia's apartment. Fitz hummed along to the radio and occasionally glanced at his daughter. When they finally arrived to Olivia's home Fitz quickly found a parking spot and walked around the car to Ellie's door. "Let's go see if she's ready." Fitz carried Ellie to the door. "You wanna knock?" He laughed when her hardest knock still sounded like a small tap. "Try again."
She knocked again. "Olivia." She called loudly as she knocked. Her second try worked and as soon as the door was open, she practically leapt from her father's arms into Olivia's.
"Hi, gorgeous." Olivia placed Ellie on her hip.
"Are you ready for the zoo?"
"Almost. I have to put on shoes." Olivia looked down at her feet.
"Aren't you forgetting someone?" Fitz pouted.
Olivia smiled at him before reaching up to kiss him softly. "I'm sorry." She kissed him again. "Hi, baby."
"That's more like it. I missed you."
"I missed you, too."
"I missed you, too." Ellie spoke.
"You did?! I missed you, too." Olivia smiled at her.
Once Olivia was finished getting ready, they all got back into Fitz's Range Rover and headed for the zoo. After having to explain to Ellie multiple times that they would be driving for a while before they reached their destination, it was finally quiet in the car. Fitz reached over the center console and grabbed Olivia's hand. She smiled softly at him when brought her hand to his lips and placed a kiss on her knuckle. "I love you." He glanced at her before turning his attention back to the road.
"I love you, too, babe." Olivia replied.
They continued their drive in silence aside from the radio that played softly in the background. Once she became restless, El began asking every few minutes if they were almost there. Olivia laughed softly as Fitz tried his hardest not to get frustrated.
"What about now?" Ellie sighed and leaned her head against the back of her car seat dramatically.
"We're almost there, baby. See?" Fitz asked as he turned and the zoo came into view.
Ellie looked around in wonder from her father's shoulders. "Daddy, look." She exclaimed as they approached the elephants. "Olivia, look."
"I see, sweetie. What are those?" Olivia looked up at the excited little girl.
"Elephants."
"Are they your favorite?" Olivia smiled at the expression on Ellie's face.
"Yeah." She spoke without taking her eyes off of the animal. After a few moments she spoke again. "What's your favorite, Olivia?"
"Hmmm. I like the giraffes."
"Daddy can we go see the giraffes next?" Ellie patted the top of Fitz's head to get his attention.
"Sure, ladybug."
They continued walking through the zoo. Fitz would occasionally kiss Olivia softly or rub his hand down her arm. He was just enjoying being with his child and the woman that he loved.
"I have to go potty." Ellie broke their comfortable silence. "Really bad." She added.
Fitz rolled his eyes playfully at Olivia who laughed softly in response. "Didn't we talk about this? When are you supposed to tell me that you have to go?"
"When I first have to." She sighed. "Sorry, Daddy."
"It's okay, ladybug. Just let me know next time okay?"
"Kay." Ellie replied as they reached the bathroom and Fitz began to lower her from his shoulders.
"I've got her, babe." Olivia looked at Fitz.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Come on, El." Olivia reached out for the little girl's hand. Fitz watched as the pair headed for the bathroom. Ellie said something when they were too far for him to hear that made Olivia laugh.
"Excuse me, sir." Fitz turned around and saw a middle-aged woman who he assumed was waiting for someone in the bathroom. "I just wanted to tell you that you have a beautiful family."
"Thank you. That means a lot."
"It's so obvious that your little girl loves her mommy and daddy." The woman smiled at him. He was about to speak again when a young girl walked out of the bathroom and up to the woman.
"I'm ready, granny."
"I wish you and your family all the best." The woman spoke before she turned and left with her granddaughter.
Fitz waited a few more minutes before Olivia emerged from the bathroom with Ellie on her hip. "All better?"
"Yep." Ellie nodded.
"Ready to go back up?" Fitz asked prepared to pick her up again.
"No. I want Olivia to hold me."
"Well." Fitz feigned hurt despite how happy he was that Ellie loves Olivia just as much as he does. They stayed at the zoo until they had seen all of the animals. After the zoo they decided to stop for an early dinner. Ellie insisted on sitting next to Olivia.
"Are you staying with us tonight?" They were on their way home. When Fitz was sure that Ellie was asleep in the back seat he began running his hand up and down Olivia's thigh.
"I didn't bring any clothes or anything with me."
"You have a small pile of things at my house that you've left before." Fitz replied referring to the pieces of clothing that she always seemed to forget whenever she slept at his house.
"You don't want to spend the rest of your weekend with El?"
"She loves when you're at our house. I think she might like you more than she likes me." Fitz chuckled.
"I am pretty great. Aren't I?" Olivia smiled at him.
"El and I think so." Fitz winked at her before turning back to the road. "So…Will you stay?" Fitz moved his hand higher on her thigh. "I really, really want you to."
"I'll stay."
