Chapter 2

"Since when did you have a child!" yelled Reiner stepping back in shock. His loud voice startled the entire class. They stopped and looked at Annie who was carrying a child that to them, looked like Eren or close to Levi. Annie ignored them to her best ability and went to her seat next to the windows. She placed Eren on the window's ledge but he almost fell over.

"Careful Eren!"

Everyone who was still watching her gasped. "So...you named your child...after Eren?" asked Reiner, his face turning really pale. Annie rolled her eyes.

"No, it's President's and Ackerman's."

That simple statement made everyone gape again and start to whisper. Annie couldn't hear too much of it but she did manage to hear bits and pieces like Jean wailing over Mikasa going with Levi. Oh, rumors were definitely going to spread. The arrival of Pixis, their sensei made them stop talking and return to their seats. Annie quickly put her jacket on top of Eren so he wouldn't be caught.

"We're hosting an assembly right now. The vice president and the president of the school are saying their speeches so hurry up and go," said Pixis leaving the class.

The class quickly lined up and left for the gym. Annie, on the other hand, went the other direction. The gym were Levi and Mikasa were going to be. Annie got their quickly and saw Mikasa and Levi practicing their speeches. Awoken from their loud noises, Eren woke up.

"Mommy! Daddy!" he cried.

Levi sighed and put down the script. He picked up Eren and held him while glaring at Annie. He did not want to do this. Eren gave him a huge smile which made Levi smile a bit, just a bit. He quickly passed Eren over to Mikasa. Annie walked away to 'go to the washroom.'

"Where do you think you are going?" asked Levi suspiciously. Annie raised her eyebrow at him and then smirked.

"You got a problem? I have-"

"Just go," said Levi quickly cutting her off. By the expression on her face, he could already tell where this was going and he wasn't going to stick around for it." Annie waved her hands good bye nonchalantly while cackling inside.

"...And a few words from President Levi," came the voice from outside. Levi walked outside and started his speech. Halfway through his speech, Annie came back and took Eren from Mikasa's hands giving him a clear view of the stage.

"DADDY!" cried Eren.

Annie tried to cover up Eren's mouth but the damage was already done. All eyes were turned to Mikasa and Annie who were in the corner. Annie quickly covered Eren up and pretended that nothing had happened. The school dismissed it as their hallucination. Levi paled and finished off his speech dashing off the stage.

Mikasa went onto the stage and started her speech, speaking louder than usual to block any possible sounds from Eren. But Eren was a loud child and yelled "MOMMY!" which caused Annie, Levi and Mikasa to all pale again just after recovering their face color.

The teachers became suspicious but didn't say anything. They motioned for Mikasa to continue. She cleared her throat and continued speaking.

"Auntie, why are Mommy and Daddy ignoring me?" asked Eren. That innocent voice was loud and echoed through the gyms making the school freeze. Annie's class turned around and looked at her in surprise and horror. She suddenly realized that Mikasa had no other relatives in her family so that means...they thought that she was a long distant relative of Levi.

Of course no one was in the right mind to think that Annie was chosen to take care of Eren when they were busy. Mikasa zoomed through her speech ending the assembly. They ditched classes until it was lunchtime.

When it was lunch, they snuck through with the crowd quietly while Eren was still sleeping happily. The three sat down on a table near the edge where no one would notice him. Annie tapped Eren to wake him up. Eren sat up and put a happy expression on his face expecting food.

The other three got out their lunches and starting eating while Mikasa was preparing food. Seeing that Eren was getting impatient, Annie gave him some of her fried egg which Eren gobbled up. Mikasa glared at Annie and started feeding Eren.

Soon, Eren was tearing up and asking for Annie to feed him again.

"Auntie! Auntie!"

"Eren, I got food," said Mikasa trying to force open his mouth and shove more food in like she always did but he turned away.

"Auntie!"

Annie sighed and started feeding him again. As they continued eating Annie said, "We need to stick together to take care of Eren since I'm not caring for him myself."

"My house is off limits," said Levi quickly adding a look that said, 'come and die.'

Mikassa blushed thinking of all the embarrassing photos of her and Eren as a child and immediately said that they would not be going to her house.

"But I don't have equipment that could take care of Eren!" protested Annie. "Wouldn't Ackerman have all the things since you grew up in that house."

"I-I threw it away and stop calling me Ackerman. Who calls each other by their last names these days?" muttered Mikasa even though all their baby things were stored in the basement. Annie glared at her one last time.

"Fine Mikasa, my house it is but you guys are buying the equipment."

Levi held out his wallet and dumped it and Mikasa did the same. They both discovered they only had enough money to buy instant noodles and pay rent.

"Just what did you guys to with your money!?" growled Annie growing more furious.

"I don't see how it's important. I only used it to buy some cleaning materials, that's all."

"Knowing you, you probably bought the most expensive materials that ever existed. As for me, I just bought some usual things. I really don't know how the money disappeared." To Annie and Levi, it translated into, 'I was too busy buying stuff for Eren.'

"Fine you two worthless people, I'll buy the equipment since I actually have the money! But you two are still coming along. And did I mention you people will be doing the choosing since I didn't ask for this!"

"Very well," nodded Mikasa.

"There's still 100 more minutes of school left you know," said Levi.

"Yeah, yeah. I get it. You two are Vice President and President and of course your role is so much more important than mine so therefore I should ditch class and take care of Eren is that right?" said Annie. Levi nodded.

"That's your job. After all, we did beg and you said you would do it."

"What Levi said. We bothered to bow down so be glad you even got us to do that."

"Ungrateful bastards."

They were in the baby clothing store currently picking out clothing. Annie went around looking for equipment and Mikasa was in a huge debate of which outfit to buy for Eren. Levi was dying of boredom with a sleeping Eren so he sat down on a bench outside the store.

Petra happened to be passing by on a shopping trip and there was no way she couldn't recognize Levi. "President! Is that your child? Oh. My. God...so those rumors were really true! I can't believe it...Can I hold him?" asked Petra bending down to pick him up before Levi could speak. "Awwww he's so cute..I can really see some resemblance to you but he kind of reminds me of someone I've seen before...what was his name again?"

"Petra. That is not my child and I don't think it resembles anyone else in anyway," said Levi cooly.

"Then who's is it?"

At that moment, Annie came out of the store. "Is this going to be okay?" she asked holding up the equipment. Levi nodded.

"That will work."

"Wait! Are you the mother of him?" asked Petra. Annie looked at her as if she was insane.

"Never."

"Ehhhh? Then who's is it?"

Petra's father came over and told her it was time to leave. She groaned. "Okay then, I'll go. Well, I'm going to go now. I'll find out who the parents are later. Don't worry, I won't spread any rumors!" she said happily running to the car.

Annie shrugged and sat next to Levi looking at Eren. "When is Ackerman going to be down?"

"Soon I think. She's still fussing over what Eren's going to wear," said Annie rolling her eyes.

Mikasa ran out of the store with bags of clothing. I'm finished," she said.

"I see you've used my money with no limits."

"You gave me the money. I just used it."

Annie's phone vibrated and she looked at the text she just received. "Shit."

"What's the problem?"

"Reiner and Bertholdt are coming over to study."
