"Kids, I'm going to tell you how I got your mother to fall in love with me"

"Marvel what the hell are you-" She gasps "NO!"

"Sit down, Glimmer for crying out loud."

She joins the kids on the couch, head in her hands. Our son and daughter lean forward eagerly. I pull out the same piece of paper that I read to her 20 years ago

'I love the messiness of your blonde and brown hair

I love those floral shorts you wear.

You look like a punk-rock-grunge princess,

Even in your pristine white converse

that your Daddy bought for you yesterday.

I know that didn't rhyme,

but I love the way you smile.

Wearing your 'Back to the Future' t-shirt,

making all the boys hearts hurt.

You love my leather jacket,

And hate the fact that I didn't call,

You hate it when I'm not around,

You ignore me in the hall.

Your smile is like a breath of spring,

Your voice is soft as summer rain,

with ivory skin and eyes of emerald green.

The way you hold my hands sends shivers down my spine.

You hate my big dumb combat boots,

and the way I read your mind.

But mostly,

I love the way you say you hate me,

When we both know you don't.

Not even close.

Not even a little bit.

Not even at all.'

"And then she kissed me." I finish with a grin.

Alright guys, you know the drill. Rate, review, whatever floats your goat :)

Don't even ask how I came up with this, I'm going to a music festival on tuesday and that's the outfit I'm wearing :D

I don't own:

10 things i hate about you

Jolene

or HIMYM which all inspired this

Take care peoples,
