Hi hi little ones! Arigatō for reading and reviewing everyone! Anyway! Let's have a quick little story time before the chapter about how my iPad ate my work.

It was a nice day, just a few days after I posted the last chapter, and I was going to continue my work on a special Christmas story for all of you reading. I had way over 5,000 words so far and was finally about to get out of the 'backstory' part. And, of course, I couldn't find it. I looked everywhere on my iPad for any trace of the story, but couldn't find it. And by now, I was obviously in distress because of this incident. But, for some reason, my iPad has been 'eating' my notes for stories, ever since I started writing that Christmas one. And of course I'm thinking,"Oh, the iPad hates my work and is trying to show it by destroying it." And then, after a month or so, I got over it and made really good friends at school. So. Moral of the story is, Always Have A Backup Of All Your Stories, And Never Go To A Pet Store And Look At Cute Little Dwarf Hamsters. Because Your Parents Will Never Get One. T - T I want a dwarf hamster...but seeing as my family has two cats and a dog, it wouldn't end well for the little guy...

Megan: O.O That moral didn't make sense!
K3I: It made
perfect sense, Megan.
Megan: No. You went from stories to pet shops to hamsters in one sentence.
K3I:
Dwarf hamsters Megan. Dwarf hamsters.

All in all, I'm sorry for updating so late! I...had some troubles...not only with keeping everyone in character, but also in school...BUT! Now all is well at school! :D Hope you enjoy!

Previously on Birthday Presents Can Change Everything:

Lifting himself up, he flew through the trees trying to reach the cobblestone tower, only to be stopped by almost colliding with a boy about the age of thirteen or so with black hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin, standing in his path.

Kisshu's eyes widened as he pulled out his sais as mumbled,"Not you..."

Kisshu pulled out his sais but quickly dropped them as his hands fell num for a second. His sais disappeared as they hit the snow-covered ground and the boy's eyes followed them.

"A–Alien!" The boy bursted out in terror and began running in the opposite direction of Kisshu, whom quickly followed in pursuit.

'I can't summon my sais. This is one of the effects of teleportation that Pai was taking about.' Kisshu thought miserably as he pursued the boy.

"Hey! Kid! Oi! Aoya–somethin'!" Kisshu called after him but only got screams in response, getting him highly annoyed.

Kisshu was in close proximity of the black-haired boy and pulled his fist back in preparation to knock him out then slowly murder him when a small, faint bell rang through the trees. As the green haired boy continued to follow the freakish Aoyama, his golden eyes looked to the left to see a small group of girls following a blonde haired boy, and a long, brown-haired boy, opposite their direction. Pink, blue, green, yellow, and purple outfits... "ICHIGO!" Kisshu exclaimed and quickly stopped chasing after the black-haired boy and flew towards the group of girls just as the black-haired boy tripped on something in the snow, and fell flat on his face.

But just like in a dream, it didn't get him any closer to the group, matter-a-fact, he got farther and farther away. "ICHIGO!" Kisshu called and of course, got no response. Kisshu continued to fly until he reached his limits, and came tumbling to the ground, he winced as his head promptly hit a tree and sat up after gaining focus again, turning to look in the direction the group had headed, to see that they were not in sight.

Cursing under his breathe, he closed his eyes as he leaned against a tree,"Ichigo..." He muttered and attempted to make a connection with Pai again, but yet again, got nothing. Swallowing a lump in his throat he stood up and began a slow walk in the direction Ichigo and friends went. He stopped for a moment as he heard running footsteps crunching in the snow from behind him, he thought nothing of it and continued to walk.

"Kisshu!" A voice called happily from behind him.

Kisshu froze. "I...Ichi...Ichigo?" He turned to see a red-headed girl quickly attach herself to him. "Ichigo?!"

"Kisshu-kun! I missed you so much! Why did you take so long to find me?" Ichigo asked eagerly.

Realizing what had happened, Kisshu hugged her tightly, planing to never let her go again. "Ichigo..." He muttered happily, smiling. But that smiled faltered as he quickly noticed something, putting himself and Ichigo at arms-width apart, he stared at her with wide eyes,"Ichigo...you...you don't...you don't have a...a...um...heart...beat..."

Ichigo smiled innocently in response just as a voice rang through Kisshu's ears.

— "Kis—u can—hear—me? K—shu?"

"Pai?"

"Ki—u, do— talk to—anything. Go—it? —shu? Don't—anything!"

"I can't understand you Pai..."

"Don't talk—thing! K—hu, we—be ther—on."

"Pai? Pai?" —

"I lost the connection..." Kisshu said defeatedly out-loud.

"What happened Kisshu-kun?" Ichigo asked intently.

Kisshu slowly backed away from Ichigo looking her up and down unsure of how to answer because of what Pai 'told' him. He quickly came to a stop and proclaimed confidently,"You're not Koneko-chan."

—•§•—WITH ACE, CHASE, AND BRITNEY—•§•—

"Baka..." Chase mumbled as he hid his face in his hands.

"Pai, what have you been teaching that kid?!" Britney asked.

"I have no right to teach him. He is at a greater level..." Pai responded annoyed, tapping his ear trying to get connection.

"What do you mean?!" Chase asked incredulously.

"We have greater matters here." Ace interrupted,"Britney. Go check on Ichigo. Something...is off..."

"Nothing is off." Britney said.

"Go." Ace glared at her, as she sighed and trudged out of the room and down the hall.

"Pai, anything?" Ace asked.

Pai eyes opened in worry and seriousness as he quickly began barking orders telepathically and verbally out-loud. "Kisshu can you hear me? Kisshu?

—"Pai?"

"Kisshu, don't talk to anything. Got it? Kisshu? Don't do anything!"

—"—can't und—and—Pai..."

"Don't talk to anything! Kisshu, we will be there soon."

—"Pai? Pa—"

"Kisshu?" Pai waited for a response and looked up at the screen that showed Ace and Chase, whom had wide eyes, waiting in suspense. "I got through."

Chase sighed with relief and floated up in the air with a crossed-legged position.

"Did you get any information?" Ace asked, staring into Pai's eyes, as if trying to find them out himself.

"Not from him, but from the connection. He is at the right dimensions, but in the wrong dimension." Pai responded.

"Uh...Japanese (or English...) please." Chase said as he landed.

"He went to the right location, but the wrong dimension." Pai responded with confidence.

Chase sweat dropped as he still didn't understand.

Running footsteps sounded along with heavy breathing as everyone turned to look toward the door where a tired Britney was panting, leaning on the door-frame with a scared, nervous, and frightened look on her face. "Ichigo..." She managed to mumble out in shock,"Ichigo...is gone... ICHIGO IS GONE!"

Everyone's eyes widened in shock as they all looked at one another with terrified eyes.

'What are we going to do now...?'

—•§•—WITH KISSHU—•§•—

"You're not Koneko-chan."

'Ichigo' slyly smirked and immediately fell to snowflakes and the world surrounding him buzzed, flashing in a bright blue light, Kisshu covered his eyes in order to shield them from the harsh light the world produced. Wind punched through the boy leaving him not only freezing, but with small cuts from branches flying and hitting the poor alien. After a minute, the light and wind ceased and he uncovered his eyes to view a snowy field with a large mansion or castle laying upon it, and to his right, a large hole was found in the ground.

Kisshu gasped as he froze and fell onto the cold floor, trying to overcome the shock. After a minute, he slowly stood and swallowed then cautiously proceeded toward the large mansion. His walk soon turned to a sprint towards the 'palace'.

'I'm home.'

—•§•—WITH ACE, CHASE, AND BRITNEY—•§•—

"She-She can't just be gone! —Ca-can she?!" Chase panicked.

"She's not in her room Chase! I don't know where else to look!" Britney responded worriedly.

"Bathroom? Is she in the bathroom?" Chase asked.

"I scanned the house. ONLY WE ARE IN THE HOUSE! Except for that little thing..." Britney trailed off.

"What little thing?!" Chase pestered,"THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING IN HERE!

"How should I know what it is?!" Britney retorted as Ace broke into their heated argument.

"Get the full scanner prepared. We need a full layout if this world. How dumb are up the two of you to forget that?" Ace asked calmly.

The two stared at him with a surprised gaze,"H-hai!" Britney answered then quickly ran over to some other pile of wires and buttons.

Pai looked over the mess that was occurring in the other end in shock,'How can someone MAKE something so unorganized like that?!' He sighed and asked,"Should I come?"

"NO!" Britney and Chase yelled at the screen, earning a deathly glare from Ace.

"That will not be needed Pai, we got everything under control here." Ace explained as he slowly turned to look back at the screen with his hands behind his back.

"Hai. But, why don't you just teleport to Mew Ichigo?" Pai suggested.

Everyone on the other side froze and thought, the first one to respond was Ace, saying in a calm matter,"We do not yet know, nor been informed that she is still in this dimension."

"I thought you said that she couldn't leave the dimension until she gained that vial thing."

"Pai? Did you—" Chase asked.

"No." Pai responded as Taruto peeked out from behind him.

"Well?" The young, brown-haired boy pushed.

"We don't want to take any chances." Ace said.

"Well, as far as I can see, you are not going to get anywhere with equipment like that." Pai stated, referring to the pile of wires and buttons Britney was attempting it work with.

"Maybe he should come..." Chase mumbled as he looked over at Britney.

"How long do you suppose you will take to get here?" Ace asked, staring at the screen once again.

"Approximately 7.64 seconds."

"Good. I hope you will be arriving shortly." Ace responded calmly.

"Oi! What about me?!" Taruto asked.

"Pai?" Ace asked, staring directly at Pai, expecting him to somehow read his mind.

"Hai. I will be able to teleport him with me, but it will alter my time, making it 8.32 seconds." Pai explained.

"Very well." Ace said, turning away from the screen. "Someone is standing behind you."

Taruto turned around to see Sivle standing there with a 'cool' look,"Sooooooo...what am I going to do?"

"You are going to teleport to Kisshu." Pai stated,"Try to make connection."

Sivle sighed and walked over to Kisshu's bed and laid down while touching his ear, attempting to make any connection with him.

"Taruto." Pai said, holding out his hand, which Taruto stared at with disbelief and jerked his head away and crossed his arms.

"I can teleport to you know. I'm not a baby." Taruto said indignity.

"Kisshu couldn't teleport properly, as you can see." Pai gave a slight gesture to Sivle laying down on the bed, now looking completely annoyed.

Taruto reluctantly took Pai's hand and cleared his mind, preparing for teleportation.

"We'll hopefully be there soon." Pai said as he closed his eyes, cleared his mind, and gained the teleportation information.

The two slowly dissolved and disappeared, as the sound of teleportation rang out on the other end. All eyes fell to the center of the room as Taruto and Pai reappeared.

"I cannot teleport out of here."

—•§•—RANDOM PERSON—•§•—

There he sat. In front of some-sort of formal group, all dressed in black.

"May I ask what I'm doing here?" The black-haired boy asked.

"No." One if the group members responded.

The boy was taken aback then attempted to relax, which didn't help. He slouched in his chair, but quickly straightened as a cold blade was lightly placed the front of his neck as a cold voice rang out next to his ear.

"I wouldn't want to let this blade slip would I? And you do want your Momomiya-chan, ne?"

"What did you do to Ichigo-chan?!" The boy asked worriedly.

"I don't see why you care about such a girl, more or less, a human girl. Seeing as you have so much power O-great-one." Another member stated sarcastically.

"I—" the blade was pushed closer to his neck, creating a small line of blood.

"Shh." Someone said next to his ear. "Seeing as you are all tied up, you can't to anything. Why do you even care for a girl who can't remember you?" A slight smirk in his voice.

The boy's brown eyes widened as tears threatened to fall,"She...she can't remember...?"

The man holding the knife to the tanned boy's neck released the hold on his neck as the young boy quickly leaned forward with his bangs covering his eyes, creating a pathetic look. Everyone in the room laughed at the look, seeing the boy look so helpless in the dimly lit room.

'How could she just forget?' The boy asked himself as tears streamed down his face and his shoulders shook.

"How could she just forget?" He asked aloud softly, still heartbroken,"HOW COULD SHE JUST FORGET?!" His face jerked up with a depressed look of sadness and hurt, but with anger. Tears continued to fall and his sorrowful cries became louder as his shoulders shook harder. He soon began to break out in a cold sweat under the pressure and surprise. "Why...?" He mumbled out..."How...?"

"He looks so broken." One of the men stated to another quietly. "Really different from the time he was originally brought in.

"Yep." The other responded, then his eyes twinkled with mischievousness,"Get out your camera. I have a plan."

—•§•—WITH ICHIGO RIGHT AFTER BRITNEY LEFT—•§•—

"NANI?! YOU TRICKED ME!"

"Do you want to see Kisshu?" A random voice asked the enraged and highly embarrassed Ichigo, who immediately froze and reached into her pocket with her left hand for her pendant which then she remembered she didn't have it. Kisshu did.

"Wh-Who's there?" Ichigo called.

"Do you?" The voice asked again in its young-boyish voice.

"No." Ichigo stated confidently, but continued to look over the room with a panicked expression.

"You don't want to go home?"

"Of course I want to go home!" She responded unconsciously.

"Do you want to see Kisshu?"

"Show yourself!"

"You can already see me. And I can see you."

Ichigo froze as she suddenly felt eyes on her. "I...I can't see you..."

"Where's Kisshu's present?"

She looked down at her wrist to see that the bracelet was gone. Quickly checking the bed and both wrists, she realized it actually was gone. "What did you do with it?!"

"You seem to care about that present an awful lot don't you?" The voice asked.

"Well it was a present."

"I can feel your feelings you know. I am part of you after all."

This statement earned a confused look to spread over Ichigo's face,"What...do..you mean...?"

"Remember what that old guy was saying about the bracelet?" It asked.

"What old gu— ooooh...you mean Ace?" Now getting a bit more comfortable with the voice, as that was all she could do at the moment due to Kisshu having her pendant.

"Sure. But he was saying the bracelet is a living creature right?"

"Yes..." She began to feel uncomfortable again, hearing the voice get nearer.

"I. Am. The. Bracelet."

Ichigo's eyes widened not only in shock, but in confusion.

—•§•—WITH KISSHU—•§•—

He ran towards the mansion with hope that Ichigo was held inside but was stopped by a small figure standing at his feet with a sharp object pointing towards himself.

"Don't. Don't make me do it." The small figure stated.

Kisshu attempted to pull out his sais, and this time, succeeded successfully. "Move."

"No. You can't go there." It barked.

Kisshu stepped back, glancing at the mansion then back at the figure. "What are you?"

"A figure from the figurine clan." Its blurry screen that was held up between the two fell and revealed a clear image of a small figurine boy with black hair cut in a similar style to that of Kisshu's wearing a black cloak that covered a full-black outfit.

Kisshu suddenly thrusted a sword toward the figure only to have if disappear out of sight. He fell forward a bit and caught himself with his left foot, standing up straight and then falling into a defensive position and looked around at his surroundings.

"Where are you?!" He called.

"Look, Kisshu." The figurine began from behind him, resulting in Kisshu to jerk around to face him, tightly gripping the sais,"You are stuck in a loop of events created by your memory." The black-haired figure tapped his head to show emphasize,"I, am the only one who can help you out of it."

Kisshu looked at him in disbelief and slightly shook his head,"I don't believe you."

"You want to see your 'Koneko-chan' don't you?"

Kisshu's eyes widened at the name and he reacted without thinking,"Yes! Of course I do!"

"All you gotta do is trust me."

Kisshu regained self composure and said,"No." He turned to walk away.

"You know, there are two parts of my clan." The figurine stated, trying to get back Kisshu's attention.

"Ohh?"

"They are pretty basic, one good side, one evil side. I'm from the better side."

"What's the 'better' side?"

He small figure sweat dropped and stated,"The good side. It's just another name for it."

"Oh."

"Just hurry up and trust me."

"No."

By this time, the figurine was highly annoyed and just grabbed Kisshu and teleported out if the dimension, and landed in a similar dimension.

"What did you do?!" Kisshu asked, not amused and definitely not happy.

"Your 'Koneko-chan' is here."

"No. I don't think so." Kisshu now gripped his sais tighter than before in anger.

"Look. I have a friend here and they said they saw a new person with...what was it again? Pink hair I think? But they said both red and pink... Maybe they meant they saw someone with pink hair then they had red hair? Or was it the other way around...?" The figure was now in a full conversation with himself, completely ignoring that fact that Kisshu was standing behind him. "Or maybe they meant that the person's hair changed from pink to red... They also said the outfit—"

By now, Kisshu was walking away from the weird figurine who quickly realized and ran over to him,"Hey! You need to stay right here! My friend said she'll bring that person here!"

"I don't want to see some random person. I want to see Ichigo."

"Yeah yeah, same person. Look. She's bring her!"

—•§•—WITH ICHIGO—•§•—

"Look down." Ichigo looked down at her wrist once again to see a little 'Pom-Pom' like thing with cute-big eyes staring up at her. "Hi!"

Ichigo stared back in disbelief,"I–"

"Come on! We don't have time!" It stated as it quickly turned into her bracelet again,"We're gooooing!"

"Wait–Wha—"

"We're going to Kisshu!"

"No. We are not."

"I can tell that there is a part of you who wants to see and be near Kisshu."

Ichigo had a slight blush cover her cheeks and the little Pom-Pom took this as an opportunity to teleport to Kisshu.

A few seconds later, Ichigo appeared in the middle of nowhere struggling to breath, thankfully, she caught her breath soon after. Looking around at her surroundings, she noticed Kisshu's back turned toward her and a small black figure behind him.

"Ki-Kisshu?" She asked in disbelief and shock. She quickly noticed Kisshu's form tense and slowly turn.

"I-Ichigo?! Is that really you?!" Hope filled his eyes.

"Kisshu..." Ichigo called relieved.

Kisshu quickly ran over and hugged her and quickly noticed she had a heartbeat,"You have a heartbeat..." He mumbled into her red hair.

"Hmm?" She asked and quickly realized she had returned the hug in comfort and pushed him away.

"Awww...and just when I thought you would actually admit you loved him...like you did earlier!" The bracelet was now back to its Pom-Pom self.

"Ichigo... I was so worried..." Kisshu stated, tears quickly forming in his eyes and threatened to fall.

"Well I'm okay." She crossed her arms and looked away.

Kisshu hugged her tightly once again and mumbled,"I'm never letting you go again."

"Kis...shu..?"

"Yes?"

"I...um..."

Kisshu's eyes opened with hope and his heart skipped a beat as he once again said,"Yes?"

"I...well..."she began unsurely of what to say.

"Just say it.. No need to hide it..."

"Umm...behind you..."

Kisshu pondered over what she had just said and asked,"What?"

"Figurine. Behind you."

Kisshu quickly detached himself from Ichigo and turned while summoning hugs sais yet again and stood in front of Ichigo defensively. Blinking to make sure see the same figurine that started it all.

The present was back. Its blonde hair was still the same, it's clothes too, it's cat ears twitched and it let out an evilly scary laugh as it neared the two and the puffball. The other figurine with black hair was nowhere in sight.

"I've got you now..." Fresh blood slowly dripped off the tip of her knife in her right hand. "You're not getting away..."

I'm assuming everything after 'WITH ICHIGO RIGHT AFTER BRITNEY LEFT' - including that part - was horrible or out of character... T - T *sigh* I might rewrite that part... Anyway! Despite those last few parts, did you like it? Hate it? Please tell me you didn't hate it! Anyway! I'm hopefully going to have a new multi-chapter story up soon about Kisshu'a past up until he officially arrived at Earth and kissed Ichigo! :D And no. It is not going to be horrible. Like many of my other stories. Which I don't show you wonderful people! Those ideas are still in the idea factory... Still getting it's finishing touches and such. :P Anywho! I hope this chapter didn't suck as much as I thought it did... Have a good week everyone and so sorry for the wait!

Ja ne everyone!
