Author's Note: So hey everyone! Yeah I realised it has definitely been a long time since I've last uploaded an update to any of my stories to which are going a lot of editing and reconstruction at the moment. A Missing Flame is one in particular which I understand has been changed numerous times and it must drive you all insane. On the other hand I suppose the good news is that I currently have an update for Broken Hearts and Empty Souls which I admit is one of my favourites to write.

I feel terrible because I've practically ditched all my stories and the excuse I will give you will probably annoy you. Needless to say, school is a pain in the ass and I struggle to juggle school work and switching between essay mode and fan fiction mode a lot lately. I hope you don't hate me but just know I actually haven't completely ditched my stories and in fact whilst I update and fix up my other stories, I'm considering writing a Divergent Fan fiction because it's my current new found obsession besides Bloodlines. Anyway I've decided to give you all a sneak peek into the next chapter of Broken Hearts and Empty Souls, it may seem boring but this just shows I haven't ditched you all!

"Damon?" Rachel's soft voice cracked as she struggled to speak.

"Oh my gosh Rachel! We were so worried about you, they weren't sure if you'd make it." Elena ran to Rachel's side and reached to take her hand gently. Elena was afraid that one touch could break her like a tower of cards. The slightest touch would send them all crumbling to the ground.

"Rachel I can't believe they did this to you." Damon growled as stepped out from the doorway to meet Rachel's confused eyes.

Rachel adjusted herself in the bed now with such a small movement making her grit her teeth in pain. In the corner of her eye she saw a jug of cold water. Luckily Elena's trailed hers and within seconds she was handing Rachel a cup of water.

"This isn't t- th- the first time they've tried something like this..." Rachel glanced at the three with a sad smile. Little did they know that this has been happening for quite some time. In fact longer then they could ever imagine.

Okay so I know this is just a tiny snippet as to what will be coming but I kind of put this author's note together whilst I was half awake so if things aren't making sense you know why. :) Hopefully it won't be too long until I upload my next chapters but please don't hesitate leaving ideas in your reviews or feel free to PM. All help is fantastic and on another note I am also on the look out for a beta.
