Author's Note: Hello everyone! I would've posted up this chapter earlier, but I kinda, ummm, fell asleep for about thirteen hours, and uhh, got caught up watching let's plays of Dead Rising 3. Yeah, sorry about that, but despite that, it's here now! So enjoy. I DO NOT OWN Red Vs Blue, Rooster Teeth does.

"What happened after that?" Carolina asked curiously.

"I did eventually stop training, well, I still trained, but not as much."

"Then?" Tucker asked crossing his arms and leaned against a wall.

"Then, the Sarcophagus."

Carolina looked up, "That suicide mission the director sent us on? The mission where I kicked you off the building?"

"You had to bring that up didn't you?"

"Mmmhmm, sorry about that by the way, but you said it was "Too High" so I gave you a little inspiration."

"By kicking me off? Never mind, I forgive you anyways, I did throw you off a cliff...and rip out the A.I chips out of your head."

"No hard feelings?"

"No hard feelings, so let's continue, after the mission, I was hauled to the UNSC medical station "Angel on My Shoulder", right? So after I had surgery, D.C came to see me, we had a conversation…

*FLASHBACK*

Maine groaned and covered his eyes to shield it from the shining white light in the medical bay. He looked around, he definitely wasn't in the Mother of Invention medical bay, then he saw a doctor, he called out to her, but then he noticed, he couldn't speak, just a growling noise. Then he remembered, the sleeveless Insurrectionist soldier shot him in the throat about nine or six times. The doctor must've noticed anyways because he saw she was currently walking over in his direction.

"Agent Maine?"

He nodded.

"Must be one tough son of a bitch huh? Never thought anyone could survive that many shots to the throat, yet, here you are."

Maine just looked at her awkwardly and pointed at his throat.

"Oh, sorry, it seems that you won't be able to talk until someone manages to find or make something to help with your vocal cords, we have this machine right here to read what you're thinking, but I'm pretty sure you can't lug this around in battle can you?" She said as she pointed to a large machine beside him that looked like it weighed about half of his armor.

Maine shook his head.

"Yea, I would've expected as much…"

They were suddenly interrupted by a voice outside yelling at the guards posted on the outside of the door.

"Let me through you dick biting fucktard!"

"Sorry ma'am, but we have orders to not let anyone in."

"You can take those orders and shove'em up your ass! You're gonna have to face a worse consequence than getting yelled at by your commanding officer if you don't let me in!"

"Ma'am as I sa-"

"I'll rip out your skull and beat you to death with it!"

"Uhhh, is that even physically possible?"

"IT WILL BE IF YOU DON'T LET ME THROUGH!"

Maine grinned as he heard D.C, she could be really violent if she wanted to, and terrifying as well. He poked the doctor in the side which made her flinch, mostly because she was focusing on what was happening outside.

"Oh! Umm, yes? What is it?" She said in a sweet voice.

He point at the monitor that was hooked up to the machine beside him. She nodded and looked at it carefully, "Let her in, why? She seems really volatile." Maine frowned and pointed at the screen again, "She's my girlfriend...oh, sorry." She walked over the door and tapped something into the holographic screen beside it, and the door open.

D.C saw the door open and a brunette appeared from behind the door, "Hey doctor! Let me in! I need to see him!"

"Of course, he's been expecting you. Let her through guards."

"Yes ma'am!"

D.C shoved past the guards and jogged toward the bed Maine was assigned to.

"Maine!"

Maine looked at D.C who was running at him, her hair was in a ponytail as usual, with a few strands of hair fall in front of her face, she had a black tank top with a tealish outline and had black sweat pants on. Maine opened up his arms and pulled D.C in a tight hug, he didn't want to let go, her presence sent a warm feeling in his body, he loved it.

"I've been so worried about you! What the fuck were you thinking?! You let your feelings take over you, didn't they?!"

Maine growled.

D.C pulled out of the hug, "Yea that's not creepy at all." She said with a smile that only he saw.

"You probably would scare the shit out of the others, especially Wash."

"If only you guys could understand me."

"I can understand you."

Maine leaned up quickly, "Wait, you can understand me!?"

"What? Is that a problem?"

"No, it's just, I didn't expect it."

"Yea, Wash will probably be able to understand you to, since he had a lot of pets back home that growled."

Maine let out a growl which resembled a laugh, "Are you comparing me to an animal?"

"What? You don't think you are? I think you would make a great pet for Wash." D.C said in a taunting voice.

"God no, that thought just scares me." Maine growled and shuddered.

"Ahhh, calm down ya big baby, you'll be fine, you got me right?"

"I guess…"

"Oh stop complaining and come here."

Maine understood and pulled her into a deep, softening kiss…

*FLASHBACK OVER*

"Alright Maine, so far you've been telling us good memories." Tucker exclaimed in which resulted in Carolina punching him the stomach.

"If you would just be patient, I'll get there, eventually."

"Ow, okay sure, sorry for that"

"Don't worry, we're closing in on the end."

"It's fine, take your time Maine." Carolina said cheerily and then giving Tucker a glare.

"Thank you Carolina, so anyways, this is happening just before the mission we went on to get C.T…"
