A/N: Hey guys sorry I took forever =3. I wanted to read a depressing Valentines day fanfic but couldn't find one so I'm writing one. It does have a happy ending though so don't worry. Also I'm going to update Summer Love and I might write a Fairy Tail NaLu fic tell me what u guys think.

Maka walked down the halls silently next to her weapon. The meister watched as the couples around her held hands, hugged, kissed and gave each other gifts.
Ah the dreaded February 14th the day of love and heartbreak. Maka thought as her and Soul entered their classroom. The duo took a seat at one of the booths (idk what to call them) as the bell rang.
Soul put his head down and rested his chin on his arms so he was facing the front. I wonder how I should ask her. Soul thought as he brain stored ideas.
"What are ya thinking about?" Soul looked up to see his meister staring at him with her eyebrow raised.
Soul sat up and put his arms around his head "Nothing." I can't tell her
Maka looked at him seriously "You know you can tell me right?"
"Yeah I know but there isn't anything I need to tell you" Soul said nervously.
Maka looked at him with a questioning look and was about to ask him again when Stein walked in.
Soul walked out of the classroom with his meister and they began to walk to the lunchroom.
"I forgot something in my locker... I'll be right there." Soul stopped and turned around.
"Okay." Maka said and walked away.
Soul walked over to his locker and took the small heart of chocolates and flowers out of his backpack and walked to the locker a few down from his and placed them inside. Lastly he took the card out of the flowers and took a pen out of his jacket pocket and wrote:
Be my valentine
-from Soul.
Quickly on the card then started to head to the lunchroom.
Maka stood teary eyed as she saw the scene in front of her. There was a girl holding flowers and chocolates standing in front of her partner. The girl smiled and nodded at him before wrapping her arms around his neck hugging him. Soul smirked wrapped her arms around her waist.
Maka put her head down and walked past the couple as a tear streamed down her face. Only a two more hours. Maka thought.
Maka walked into the apartment and set her bag down next to the door taking her text books out and began to walk to her room without saying a word to her partner.
"You okay?" Soul asked.
"Yeah I'm fine... Why?" Maka choked up slightly but took a small shaky breath and turned around.
"You haven't said a word to me since before lunch. Whats wrong?" Its sounded more like a demand then a question.
Maka shook her head and looked at her feet "Its nothing Soul." Maka said sternly.
She heard Soul sigh in frustration "Fine." He plopped down on the couch picking up the remote with one hand and running the other through his white hair.
Maka turned and walked to her room shutting the door and leaning against it. The pig tailed meister felt a ball form in her throat as she replayed the scene from earlier through her head and she finally let the tears fall.
Soul walked up to Maka's door and knocked on it slightly "Maka are you going to make dinner?" He asked
Maka stood up from her desk whipping the dry tears off her eyes and walked over to the door. She opened it and came face to face with her partner.
"Have you been...Crying?"
Maka sniffed and looked down at her feet.
"What the hell is going on with you Maka?"
"I don't wanna talk about it can't you respect that."
"Maka just tell me whats wrong." Soul said as he placed his hands on her shoulders.
Maka looked up at him and sighed "I didn't get a valentine." she said simply
"So that's a reason to cry?"
"No that's not why I'm crying I'm crying cause the person I wanted to get it from asked someone else."
"Who Kid?"
Maka shook her head.
"Black*Star?"
"No."
She looked at her partner who was deep in thought.
"Then who?"
"God Soul it's you! There I told you, you can leave me alone now!" Maka went to shut the door but was stopped at Soul placed his hand on the door and invited himself in.
Maka sighed "what?"
Soul smirked. "In some weird way did you just ask me to be your valentine?"
Maka laughed slightly and shook her head. "Maybe... I don't know I kinda wanted you to ask me."
"In that case." Soul walked up to her and placed his lips on hers. It was a short and loving kiss. "Will you be my valentine."
Maka blushed and nodded and kissed him again.
