Chapter 15: Cruentamque

Rachel POV

Light flickers in and out of my vision. Grey blurs pass by me and sound comes and goes. I try to speak but my lips won't work. They feel numb, my tongue heavy against the roof of my mouth. My bones drag me down, the muscles ache and my head throbs. Pain. Pain. Pain is the only thing that is clear in the bleariness. So much with each pump of my heart. Air rattles past my teeth and into my lungs, yet it doesn't seem like enough. Nothing responds and I can't breath in more air. Its rhythmic, slow. To slow. Not enough. I feel my eyes flutter and see sparks of light. Bright. Burning yet not bright enough. I need to see more. Why can't I see more? The darkness creeps around the edges again, closing off the light. I fight against everything. Scream as loud as I can. Not sound comes out. I don't move and my eyes grow heavy with each second until they close again.

Muffled sounds pull at my ears. Soft murmurs and voices. A rhythmic sound followed by a bump. My body jostles. Pain beats against the back of my skull and everything seems to brighten painfully so. I roll my head to the side as my eyes open. Bleary white was passing quickly, as if I am moving. I tilt my head again and spot a soldier. The gun strapped across his chest gives him away as he pushes me. My mouth opens and I struggle to do anything. His gaze flickers down to me and worried eyes look to me. "Davins, we need to hurry if we want to archive her, I don't know how hard Wikin hit her."

His voice was deep and muffled followed by a higher pitch yet equally as muffled voice, Davins. "She'll last, we need to find the other one. She escaped before they could catch her."

"What if she uses her powers?" The voice is accented and higher pitched than the other two.

"She won't. Her head is bleeding pretty bad. Using powers takes focus. You can't focus with a killer migraine Brones." The voice that first spoke sounds to my right. A moan leaves my throat as we hit something bumpy and my head is jostled. Everything hurts. "Besides soon enough she'll have MS148 going through her veins. It won't be a problem then."

"Bran what about that thing that killed Wikin and Smith?" Bones or something. His name disappeared at the edge of my thought, spoke.

The other guy, deep voice, B-Br, B something, spoke. "I don't know but it's dead, I saw Fisher shoot the invisible thing with a grenade. it blew up and nothings come after us since then. I'm guessing its dead." His voice pulled at and ache deep within my body. Something that brought me more pain than the injury to my head. Something missing. Serk. Berserker. That's the only one they could be talking about. How could he be dead?

Blurry faces turn to me again. "Let's get her to the lab then cells. I don't want her to use that power. Whatever it was." Davins voice was quiet. Darkness seeps around my vision and I fight to stay semi awake. I needed to know for sure. I needed to check on Serker. I needed Harry. Where was she? I sent her after Santana. The darkness takes over and the last thing in my vision is a stark white hallway and bright green eyes.

Santana POV

My muscles ached. My stomach throbbed with every pump of my heart. The metal dripping out of my stab wound. Blood coated my hand as my eyes flutter. My face is pressed into something hard. Open! Abre! Dammit. Everything was dark. Orange flutters in my vision, bright like a fire. My eyes close again and I know it's because of blood loss and shock. WAKE UP! I scream inside my mind but nothing happened. I feel fingers prodding me before I am picked up and laid on something flat. I struggle to open my eyes. To do anything but I am helpless.

Cool hands press into my stomach and the pain resides. Water presses itself on my lips and I swallow mercilessly. My body stays limp as my eyes flutter open. Finally! "Harry?"

Bloody white tinted teeth grin at me. Blood splatters Harry's body. She continues to push me on a gurney. "I'm working on finding the others, Rachel sent me after you, Berserker is with her. She ordered me to stay with you no matter what. I can't defy her no matter what you say or what happens." I nod slowly, my mind catching up.

I struggle to sit up and orange eyes watch me cautiously. Full of worry. I slip off of the gurney with a clenched jaw. My feet touch the ground and Harry hovers next to me. "I'm fine! I'm not dying!"

"No but you have a knife wound in your gut! You need to rest." Her hand pushes down on my shoulder. "Wait until we find a med kit or something." I sigh deeply through my nose in annoyance. I wasn't helpless. She begins to push me through a hallway and we hit something. The bump causes my stomach to flare in pain and nausea hits me. I turn and throw up over the side of the gurney, barely holding in my scream of pain.

"How long did it take you to find me?" My voice comes out in pants and I hate how weak I sounded.

"Too long." Harry's eyes dart around the room. "I killed too many men and lost track of time. They kept swarming me, they couldn't see me but that didn't stop them from shooting at me. I was grazed a few times."

I watch her until finally I slump on the gurney. My stomach was in to much pain. Harry stops and stands in front of me. I can barely hear footsteps before a small girl comes tearing into the room. Her breath is coming in quick bursts. Her eyes bug out when she sees me before they relax. "Hey. Sorry, I was running from guards. You're gonna wanna keep up." My gurney moves and she stares at me before her eyes turn understanding. "Rachel."

I turn to her. "Where is she?"

Harry stares at the girl as she pushes me fastly. "I. She wa-" Harry begins to scream.

I cover my ears and Sunshine watches me. Harry's fingers grip her head and she tumbles into the floor. "RR-Rachel. She-" She begins to fade and her screams grow louder and more pained.

"HARRY!" I stretched towards her, my hand landing on her shoulder before she disappears. I fall to the floor and Sunshine looks at my grief stricken face. "They have Rachel don't they?" My stomach throbs in pain from the fall.

Sunshine helps me up. I don't bother shoving her hands off. "Yeah. They knocked her out and cornered me. They attacked one of her creature that was with us. I don't know what happened. I was just there and suddenly I was shoved out of the room. I took off running."

I shove her hands off of me. "Why would you leave her?!" My powers burn erratically beneath my skin.

She steps forward and shoves me onto the gurney. "Because I am here to save everyone. I will save her just like she promised we could save Jesse. If you haven't noticed we might be the only two left free. We will free the others." Her eyes dart around. "They mumbled about a suppressor injection. What we need to do is find a lab. Then find a doctor." Her eyes flicker to me. "That's where you come in, your powers are a whole lot scarier than mine." I nod my head dumbly as she pushes me along. Harry was gone, Rachel was captured. What were we going to do? I was bleeding out. Please, please let Britt be okay. Let her live please.

Quinn's POV

Everything seemed to be in slow motion and technicolor. What was going on? How could I save him. Sam's pale blue eyes stare into mine and I can't hear anything but his ragged breathing. Muffles break through my haze. "QUINN!" I can't tell who it is but more voices follow.

"Quinn! What do we do?!" The voice is panicked. "Quinn! QUINN!"

"Quinn." This one is calm and somehow pulls me out. I look to Karofsky. He tilts his head as the others look to me.

"What do we do? Tina's voice is soft and slightly shaky as she looks to me. Her fingers brush Finn's hairline gently.

"I don't know! The hospital!" My mind races, full of ideas. No, no. "They'll look for us there. David find the closest place that Sue's friends are at. Maybe they can help us." He nods his head as he looks through the papers he had printed. I turn my eyes back to Sam. "Sam stay with me okay?" He shakes his head weakly. Pale face pained. I turn my eyes to brown. "Tina how's Finn?"

Her hands shake. "He's stopped seizing but he won't wake up." I nod my head and sit back as my fingers tie the tourniquet to Sam's wound. Please let this work.

I drag my fingers across my hair and tug at the ends. Think! Think. You are in charge. David is too. This is up to you two. You need to save everyone. I can feel Brittany's eyes trail to my hair and I realize that I had blood all over my hands. Sam's blood. Her eyes move to Finn and Sam quickly, worry deep set in them. "Everything will be fine guys. We just need to find someone Sue trusts. Everything will be fine." They all nod numbly at my words.

David looks back to me. "Got one, fifteen minute flight. Its towns over but we can make it. It's under the list as emergency contact. Everything will be good. Fifteen minutes."

I nod my head and look to the two boys. They were surely dying. Sam's fingers catch my hand and I can see the fear deep in his eyes. I clutch his hand. He wouldn't die. He couldn't die.

The ride seems to drag on, minutes passing by as I watch him. Sam's eyes begin to flutter shut. "No. NO! Sam."

He gives me a soft grin. His bright blue eyes dull and glazed. "It doesn't hurt anymore."

"NO! Sam. Please Sam." Her hand touches my cheek before his eyes flutter shut. "Sam." I shake his body. "SAM! Wake up." I shake him harder and then feel for his pulse. I can hear the sobs of the other before I look at Sam's peaceful face. My face fall onto his chest and I cry at having one of my friends die.

Arms wrap around me and I fight them before shocks pull me out of my stupor. Brittany finishes pulling me off of Sam and looks to Karofsky. "How long?"

His eyes flicker to us. "Two minutes. Two minutes."

She nods and stares at Sam. I watch the electricity spark in her eyes before she rips sam's shirt off of him. She slams her hand onto Sam's chest with a loud slap. The smell of burning flesh spreads across the room and I watch as spark filled tears glisten down her face. She slams her hand into his chest again and the sparks fly. I shake and stare at her in shock before Sam's chest expands, his heart restarting everything. Cries of joy fill the room and I fall to my knees as I pull his head into my lap. My fingers pulling Brittany into my side. Her eyes are dazed. Sam was alive. He was alive for now. Just two more minute. Two more minutes and everything would be fine.

Rachel POV

I feel someone moving my body before I slump into a chair. My head lolls to the side as it throbs in pain. I can't feel anything. Harry's presence is completely gone. Nothing. I feel nothing. "She's either a telepathic or can create things with her mind. In any case she is dangerous. We're lucky to have caught her when we did." The voice is unfamiliar. "Take her to the cell after the doctor treats her wounds. We can't have them dying."

"Yes Doctor." I feel the air pushing against my face and my eyes flutter open. Nausea hits me and I grip my stomach as I face the side and puke. I spot the rubber wheel of a wheelchair under my chin. I hear a groan of annoyance. "Couldn't have held it in until the cells huh?" I groan and a deep chuckle greets my ears before the floor moves again.

I feel fingers pressing into my skull and I try to shove them away. The deep chuckle floats into my ears again as another voice follows it. "Concussion. She'll be fine, just a massive headache and nausea. Take her to the others. Some sleep will be fine for her."

The wheel squeaks as the chair is turned around. The man behind me hums a song. I open my eyes and force myself to look into the cells. They are all metal bars and I watch faces pass me by before I see Shelby, she runs to the door of her cell and screams my name. "Rachel! Rachel!"

The man chuckles again. "Guess you're popular."

I met cold eyes and shiver as Jesse's dull eyes greet me. The man deposits me on a bed as Jesse sits on his. "Behave or else the others will punish you." His deep voice gravels across my ears as he stare the both of us down. His brown eyes boreing into mine. He nods his head and wheels the chair out. I slump against the bed and watch as Jesse forces himself to sit up. His face is pained as he grips his stomach. "Who's free?"

My head throbs and I struggle to remember the faces of those in the cells. "I can't." My fingers move to my head to find stitches in the side. "Ow."

He sighs. "You're the first they've brought in a while. They keep pumping us full of that pill. They were talking about transporting us. I overheard them." I nod dully and suddenly his hands are on my face, his pained eyes looking into mine. "When they go to get us out I am going to fight. I need your help." I nod blearily and blink as I try to force my dizziness to subside. "Distract them or get keys and let others out. Just help me." I nod and he sighs softly. "God help us all. I hope this works."

I slump into my bed and he sits on his bed. Sleep tugs at my head before blackness takes over again.

Quinn's POV

The house comes into view and Karofsky lands. I watch as sparks snap and jerk across Brittany's arms. She steps off the plane first. A woman stands at the doorway before her eyes widen at the electricity flowing across Brittany. David steps forward and I match his stride. She stares at the blood on me and I pray the Tina and Mercedes keep the boys alive long enough. "Who are you guys?"

Her voice is tense, distrusting and I catch her fingers flicker with fire. "Sue. We're Sue's group. The mansion was attacked. Our other group of kids are after Sue. The Anti peculiaris have them." David's voice is sure.

I step forward. "Can you help us or not? We have to dying boys on the heliplane."

Her eyes flicker forward and she whistles. Two men come out and they listen as she orders them to bring the boys. "Follow me." We stand there and wait as they carry Finn and Sam. "We have a doctor on sight. He'll help them." I watch as a man with deep white eyes steps forward and pulls Sam into his arms. He disappears and my face wrinkles in worry and they carry Finn after him. Would they be alright? "Let's go. I need to hear about Sue's loss of mansion and how you got here."We move into a room and she seats us at a table.

Slowly the story comes out and the woman pinches the bridge of her nose. "Sue always had a knack for gaining to much attention. God. Okay. First we need to get you guys someplace safe. Here is to close to the mansion. I'll send you someplace. Everything will be okay. There is more than one safe haven." Her finger weave through her graying black hair. Black eyes flicker in worry. "Your two boys will be fine. Uric is a healer by gift."

"We need to rescue the others. The ones that went after Sue and Sue. They're in danger." My voice is tense. I see the others stare at me in shock and some nod.

The woman sighs. "Sue and I always had backup plans for this. Just follow what I tell you to do. Sue left specific instructions for this. She doesn't want teenagers involved."

"Sue's not here right now! I don't care what her instructions were, we are going to save them." I clench my jaw as I stare into this woman's dark eyes.

"Sue specifically told me if anything like this happened I needed to take you to a safe house, not endanger you more." Her words are terse and final.

"No, she surely didn't expect a group of teenagers to try and save her so she doesn't have a plan for this. We are going in to save them. We will not hide away while they are in danger!" I slam my hand onto the table.

Karofsky stares at the woman. "We'll either go with or without your help."

She scoffs. "You couldn't even protect the mansion without loosing two of your men, what makes you think you can do this?"

"Because we have to. We will save them." I feel Brittany's hand clutch mine, the sparks jump around my hand and wrist and I hold back on jerking my hand away in shock, both from her grabbing it and the tiny currents tingling against my skin.

She sighs but I see something in her eyes. I drop it as her words reach my ears. "Alright, fine. But first we need to treat your boy then let you rest and eat up. We can leave in three hours. Eat and sleep." Her eyes bore into ours. "You'll need it."

We sat around the table as she brought us food and I can hear everyone's stomach rumble as I feel mine do the same. I run my hands along my suit, across my thigh as this feeling of dread hits me. I shake it off and look to the woman, she had introduced herself as Erue. She eats her food patiently and I see everyone dig in. Brittany sips from a straw loudly and I feel a half smile tug at my lip. The feeling gnaws at the back of my stomach but I figure its nerves so I ignore it. I eat my food and drink the juice she had offered us, cranberry something. Tart and tangy.

Joe is just starting on his and as her e a huge gulp of his juice he swallows half of it before spitting it out. His eyes are wide and kind of daze, Shaking his head he throws the glass against the wall. "Don't drink the juice or eat the food!" His eyes are still glazed and her blinks them away and looks to us in horror. "It's drugged."

Artie is the first to go down, he had scarfed his food and drank all of the juice. I stand and my head spins and legs wobble. I feel my power flare and utensils begins to spins around the room. Brittany's hand clutches my shoulders as her eyes flutter, I throw her arms around my shoulders and stumble away from the table. My back hits the wall and the room spins faster. I groan and hear a thud. I blink slowly and watch Blaine's body lay limply on the floor. Mercedes manages to make it a few steps before stumbling into the counter. She curses lowly as she clutches the hard counter top.

I feel sparks dance across my skin and look down. Brittany's eyes are fluttering but she's struggling to stay awake. Erue just watches us calmly. Rory throws a fork at her and before it can hit her in the heart it burns away, incinerated by her powers. My throat closes as I watch Matt shake his head in wolf form before he falls to his side, slowly the fur falls away and he groans lowly. Karofsky has his hands on the chair he was sitting in. "Why?"

Erue looks to us calmly as Joe manages to catch Tina. He lays her down to the ground. His eyes aren't as glazed as everyone else's. "Sue would never forgive me me if I let the Anti-P get you. They're bad news. Teenagers shouldn't deal with them."

Karofsky growls. "You guys dealt with them when you were teenagers."

She tilts her head. "Those were different times, now we protect the young. Don't worry when you wake up all will be well." I feel Brittany slump into my arms and I fall to my knees under the weight of her and my own dizziness. I see Karofsky's legs tremble before he too hits the ground. I watch numb and unable to move as men move in and restrain Joe. As they pick up my teammates. Everything fades to black as I hear Joe screaming violently to let us go.

Santana's P.O.V

Sunshine continues to push me until we have to leave the gurney. My hand presses into the sleeve Sunshine and padded against it. I hold back winces as we crouch behind a desk. Sunshine's frame fits better than my pained one and we hold our breaths as guards walk by. "There's only a few left. Powers aren't even that scary. Boss looked over the tapes from when the attacked first." The deep voice laughs. "She was livid because someone managed to barricade the video station before destroying everything when the guards broke in. Found Ian laying on the ground. Swore up and down he couldn't remember anything." I turn to Sunshine and she mouths 'Mike.' I nod. Of course he would still be left, he was a body jumper. This was practically a play ground for him.

The guards finally pass and I turn to her. "Sounds like Mike ran into trouble."

She nods but a small smile twitches at her lips. "But they said we weren't the only ones out. That means there's more of us loose." A guard comes slinking down the hall and I recognize those movements. Mike

God I hope i'm right. I stand up and Sunshine's eyes widen until she looks like a spooked owl. Mike."

The guard grins, removing some goggles from his face. I see the milkiness of his eye and sigh in relief. "Hey, fancy seeing you here."

"I would hug you if you were in your own body." Instead I pat him on his shoulder. HE just grins at me. "We have to free the others, your our best bet."

HE nods. "From what I saw its only you two, me and Cassie." My eyes widen. He nods. "She's been hiding out, waiting for the right time. I barely saw her before she knocked the guard I was in out. The group I was with mentioned a shift change in about fifteen minutes. My guess is that she plans to break them out. I plan to be in there and help. Perfect opportunity for me. Bodies everywhere." His grin is pained.

I pat his vessel's shoulder. "Let's do it then. Sun and I were gonna go find the drug that blocks our powers. See if we can do something about it."

He nods. "Sounds good. When the sirens start sounding be ready. I try to posses a guard near you guys before I get my own body." We nods and he pulls me into a hug. I stiffen at the unfamiliar body hugging me before he moves to Sunshine. "Be careful."

"Always Chang." He rolls his eyes before running down the hallway.

His shouts are accented in British. "Breach! Breach. This way!"

I roll my eyes and move in the opposite direction as him. Following the signs that says lab. Sunshine follows diligently. Her body almost pressed into mine as we move down the hall. My stomach aches but I ignore it. The hallways seem endless until finally glass doors come into view. I pop my shoulders and then take a deep breath before pressing my hand into the glass wall, close to the ground behind a desk. The people inside don't even look up as the glass slowly but surely melts away under the heat of my hands. Finally the hole is big enough fro us to crawl through.

The doctors don't even look up and I shake my hands before grabbing the two of them by the side of their necks and slamming their heads together. The woman goes down first but the man only stumbles. I hit him with my fist and feel my knuckle break against his temple. He falls like a sack of potatoes and the woman stirs with a moan. I grab some cords from a computer at the far end and tie his hands together before tying him to the bolted in desk. The woman slowly comes to, her head not injured too much. My hand glows as I hold it close to her throat. I swallow before her eyes open and my mask slips over my face. "Get up and I melt you into a puddle." She swallows but nods slowly. "Good. Tell me about this suppressor drug."

Rachel POV

Slowly my eyes open as someone shakes my shoulder. "Hurry up and wake up. I need you to pass out near the door." I stare at him in confusion, my head swimming. He pulls me over to the spot three feet from the door. "Lay here and remain still, breath as shallow as you can to make them worry. And don't move or make a sound. They're coming to give us medicine. It's the middle of a shift change so now's the perfect time. They want to transport us after they give us another shot. Keep us non-powered for the flight" I nod numbly as I lay on the ground. He moves my limbs around until he hums and heads to his bed. HE slumps into it an closes his eyes. I do the same and wait.

I hear the keys jangle to many cells. I hear struggles and catch Puck yelling profanities at someone. There is the sound of a body hitting the ground then low groaning. "Stupid kid. Stay down." Puck curses at him again as I hear the cell lock. I hear him come to ours and the key jingles in his hands. "What the hell?! Doc look at this kid!" From the sounds of footsteps there are only three people on duty, two guards and a doctor.

"Shit. Open the cell." I hear the keys jingle before the doctor addresses Jesse. "Why didn't you get us, what happened?"

I hear Jesse scoff. "Like you care what happens to us and she got up to see if she could see that woman yelling her name. She collapsed."

"You didn't think to help her or yell for help.?" The doctor's voice is strained.

I hear the indifference in Jesse's voice. "Like I care, she blackmailed me into coming here. IT's her fault i'm here."

I feel the doctor bend down and he tilts my head around I hear the crack of knees as the guard bends down for a closer look. "They look so harmless." I hear a crack and I kick up with my legs, catching the doctor in the chin as Jesse chokes the guard. I grab the baton and hit them the guard over the head. The other guard walks smoothly down and the second his head pops into our cell I hit him as hard as I can. I can hear the crack of the baton breaking against his head and the thud of his body hitting the floor.

Jesse holds and empty needle to the doctors neck."Don't move or else a coronary embolism is your gift." The doctor swallow and mumbles out an okay. I pull the keys away from both the guards and lock out cell door after grabbing the other guards baton.

I use the keys to start letting out people out. Shelby runs to me and her fingers smooth around my cheeks as she looks me over. I look around, spotting three new people and then missing people. "Where's Santana? Sunshine?" They look at me blankly. "Mike? Cassie?"

Holly steps forward, her face is bruised. Cassie sent me running when she got surrounded by guards. If she's not her she's still loose or she didn'-" Her voice catches and Tank pulls her into his arms. Everyone has bruises and injuries. Jesse is favoring his stomach, Beiste's hand is in a splint.

Sue looks at me. "You and Santana are the stupidest people I have ever met. You were never suppose to come here."

I shrug. "Who can argue with Santana?" She shakes her head and we move down the hall. Our eyes widen as we spot guards moving out way. The rush us and we struggle to fight. Having no powers was disorienting for all of us. Tank slams a guard into the wall and slams the baton he had just stolen into another guards crotch. They both fall moaning to the ground. suddenly a guard starts attacking his colleagues and I catch the milky eyes as my baton makes contact with a guards face.

Jesse voice is pained yet her is grinning wildly. "Good thing these are cell guards. No guns."

I turn to glare at him as one of the guards makes a bee-line for a button. Lauren intercepts him and slams him into a wall. Puck is punching guards left and right until we are left with Mike in a guards body. He grins at us. "Someone wanna follow me to help retrieve my body, I don't think I can walk after this. Puck follows after him until they stop dead in their tracks. Sue growls as more guards show up. Gunfire sounds and we scramble for a place to hide.

Mike in Guard gasps for breath as his borrowed hands press into his stomach. Shouts are yelled at Mike. "Traitor!" As he bleeds out. He struggles for breath until he blinks and the milky eyes disappear.

We sit behind the walls and listen as the guards come closer. There is the distinct sound of metal striking flesh and screaming. A minute passes by and footsteps sound. One set until our savior steps in front of us. Cassie stands the, metal coating her skin, clothes torn and blood splattered across her face and rushes to her with a scream of relief. Cassie sags against her and I look to my mom, watching as she sighs in relief. "We have to find Mike." Gun fire echoes across the hallways.

Cassie looks up. "I'll go, tell me where he is."

"I can show you." She frowns but doesn't say anything.

Shelby steps forward. "I'm going, they didn't get to me yet. My powers will be coming back. I'm not letting the two of you go alone." Cassie grits her teeth and her fist clench until Holly's finger unfurl them.

Cassie sighs, her silver skin glowing in the light. "Fine. Whatever. Just listen to my instructions." Her eyes turn to Holly. "Be careful Holland."

Holly grins and winks at Cassie. "Always Cas."

Sue looks to us. "I'm going to find our rides, she pulls off a radio on the guards belt. "Keep a hold of this." Cassie nods before heading down the hall.

Jesse looks at me and he smirks. "Nice acting headcase."

I roll my eyes. "You too voodoo doll." HE grins wider at the nickname for him, his hand is still pressed into the hole in his stomach, as if pressure alleviates the pain.

I turn and follow Cassie and Shelby. The silence is awkward and I can see Shelby stealing looks at me. Cassie shoves us both against the wall as bullets rain down above us. Some bounce off of the metal that is covering her. She grunts as each one leaves a dent. "Assholes." She looks to Shelby. "Powers?"

Shelby concentrates and I can sees the briefest glimpse of frost covering her hand before disappearing. "Damn it. Not yet. Still to much in my system. Give me a few minutes."

Cassie nods and grabs something from her belt, the grenade glints as she rips the pin out with a smirk she throws it over the wall we were hiding behind. The explosion shakes the floor and she rushes forward. Grunts sound before she yells clear at us. We follow and I point to the direction Mike's body would be in. I grab a gurney just in case as we get close. Cassie slams her hands into the wooden door and it shatters it. We step through and I rush to hiding spot. I pull Mike's body out. HE is limp and I search fora pulse. I feel it thrumming softly against my fingers and I sigh, dropping my head to his chest. He stirs slowly. "Hey."

I grin at him. "Hey. Did you happen to see Santana while you were in guard?"

He struggles to sit up and Shelby and I help him on the gurney, his legs are limp and his breathing labored. "Yeah, they went to the lab. Just follow the sighs." HE groans as we pick his legs up and set them on the gurney. "Ouch." I smile apologetically at him, he just smiles back.

We follow the signs and Cassie is still stiffer than a board, jumping around the corners and making us hang back until its clear. The sound of gunfire reaches me and I run forward, my gut aching at the possibilities. I hear Shelby and Cassie scream for me and Mike's squawk of confusion. What I come on strike terror in my heart. Sunshine's arm's are wide as she stand in front of Santana. The guards are clutching their eyes and when one of them moves their hands I see their eyes. Blood shot and completely useless. Sunshine falls to her knees and I slide to mine beside Santana. She's trembling. "San." She offers me a pained grin as Cassie comes running in.

She rips the guns away from all the guards and turns on her radio. "Got everyone, lets get out of here and call clean up."

Santana's eyes flutter and I pull her shirt up. A nasty looking burn embedded with silver is on the left side of her stomach, on the right rests a bullet hole. "Trying to get a view Berry? Don't tell Q." I swallow deeply and look to the unconscious doctor. "The guards knocked her out. Said she gave us to much information. Ouch." She winces as I apply pressure to her wounds. Her face is pale and I feel tears prick my eyes. She groans again and her eyes flutter as blood seems to pour out of her. "Tell. Tell Brit I love her and i'm-"

"San no, you're not going to die. I won't let you." Tears fall off m,y face and my lips tremble as she offers me a soft smile.

"No denying it Rach, I don't feel so hot." She chuckles deeply. "I'm cold and everything's fuzzy Rach. Just tell her I'm sorry Okay?" I nod as the tear roll off of my face and onto hers. Sunshine grips Santana's right hand. "Tell her I love her more than ducks." Her left hand slides up to grip my wrist. "Thank you Rachel." She grins weakly at me and I hear something behind me. I don't pay attention to it until I spot a syringe being jammed into Santana's left shoulder.

"What are you doing?!" I rip the syringe out of her shoulder but the damage is done, the bluish liquid that kills our powers was flooding Santana's systems.

Shelby looks at me. "Her powers will fight mine. It'll interfere with what i'm about to do. I'm going to save her."

I look down at Santana's pale face, it was sickly looking and make my stomach knot. I grip her left hand and her eyes flutter weakly as her lips try and tremble into a grin. Her fingers are woven into mine. Weak, loose not at all strong like she is. It scared me down to my core and my stomach felt like it was twisting and burning itself from the inside.

Shelby's hand move over Santana's wound. They instantly ice up and I watch as the ice covers almost all of Shelby's body and then Over Santana's stomach. Santana shivers as her eyes flutter shut. I squeeze her hand tightly, and she blinks in confusion. "It's cold." She grins weakly at us.

Shelby doesn't say anything, Mike is passed out on the gurney, Sunshine is clasping Santana's other hand, staring at the guards with burnt eyes. They were now blind because of her and she couldn't seem to grasp that it was he doing and that Santana was dying. I almost vomit as the word flits across my brain. Santana wouldn't die. She's is perfectly fine. She's going to be okay. I see more tears fall onto her face and I sit back and watch as they fall onto the ice covering her. Shelby's brow furrows and the room drops in temperature as her shoulders tense. Time drags on and I wait with baited breath. I watch as the ice seems to leave Shelby's skin, receding into Santana's stomach until Shelby falls back with a groan. I look to her. "I've never done something this big before. I mended her the best I could, manipulating her tissues and blood. 80% water." She presses her finger into Santana's throat. "Her pulse is still there. She should be fine until we can get to a doctor." I sigh and my head falls onto Santana's shoulder in relief.

I pull myself away from her and throw my arms around her. "Thank you. Thank you so much." She nods and pats my back.

Cassie comes forward, her jaw is more relaxed than when she saw Santana bleeding out. "Let's go, Sue has transportation." She turns to Shelby. "Clean up is on it's way they should be here by the time we leave."

Shelby sighs in relief. "Let's go then. The shot should were off the kids in eight hours or so, she looks to me. You should be seeing Harry again in a few hours." I sigh in relief and watch as Cassie picks Santana up. She sets her gently beside Mike and straps them both in. Shelby rummages around the lab before stuffing some thing into a box, then a bag. She stuffs papers into the bag as well before turning to us.

We walk down the hall, Sunshine is leaning heavily on me, exhausted from overusing her power. "Thank you Sunshine." She looks at me confused. I smile halfway. "For throwing yourself in front of Santana and saving her."

She blushes. "It was no problem, she would have done the same." I nod my head and pull her tighter against my side so she doesn't have to support that much of her own weight. She sighs in relief and mumbles a thank you. Shelby pushes the gurney and Cassie walks in front of them, still armored up in metal. Finally we make it to the plane we had come on.

Sue comes over. "We're splitting into three group so the planes will all be back." Her eyes flit to Santana. "Put her on this one, all the injured are going on this one." We nod and Shelby pushes the gurney onto the plane. She locks the gurney into place as I set Sunshine into a chair. She sags in relief and Jesse looks to her and grins in relief. Harmony stumbles over to her and pulls her into a hug. The girl has serious bruising across her jaw and throat but other than that she looks fine. Sugar limps over to Santana's side as Puck helps strap her to the medical bed in the back part of the plane, the medical part. Mike gets strapped down and they are both hooked up to IV's. "Should help them." She looks at all of us. "You all should get one. but that'll have to wait until the mansion. Alright now these two need it the most." She turns to Jesse. "You too, come here." He groans and sits on one of the beds. She hooks him up and moves around as she checks the others.

Sue comes on board and moves to the front of the plane. She presses a button. "Alright, Schue Ready?" I hear his mumble of conformation. "Tank you ready?" A hell yeah is his response. Sue sighs. "Let's head out then. Everyone buckled up. She gives us about fifteen seconds before the plane begins to ascend into the sky, leaving the lab behind. Relief floods my body and I sink into my seat. Shelby gets up and moves around, checking on people. Sebastian sleeps with his head propped on Lauren's shoulder. She is also asleep. Kurt and Puck sit near one another, quiet yet keeping each other company. Cassie sits near Holly, her body is cover in bruises, the metal had dented when hit with bullets. That metal was just her skin changing texture so it was bound to leave it's marks. Holly's face is worse than before. The bruises showing more clearly than before. Her lips were split and cheek swollen. I wince in sympathy. My fingers brush across my skull until I feel pain and then nausea. I groan and Shelby places a bucket in front of me. Cool hands press into my forehead and wound and I sigh in relief. Slowly I drift off and nothingness greets me.

The plane shakes and I jerk awake with a start. Sounds of fear echoed around the plane and I could see half of the people were awake now. I move back to Santana who is still sleeping. The heart monitor beeps steadily and I sigh in relief. I turn to look at Mike and her grins softly at me. "hey." I mumble and he grins as he stretches his legs.

"Hey Rachel." His grin is infectious and he sighs. "You've been out for a n hour. Sue isn't flying as fast as Santana was."

I laugh. "Yeah, I don't think she follows any speed rules. How much longer?"

Shelby's voice answers me as she looks over Santana. "Just a few more minutes, the mansion should be coming into view soon."

I sigh in relief and a flicker of orange greets my eyes before it vanishes. My powers would be back sooner or later. I look around the plane, the were two smaller planes housing Schue, Emma, Beiste then another housing Tank and the three new people that were locked up with us. Puck had managed to fall asleep and Kurt was aimlessly humming as his fingers tapped along Puck's mohawk. Lauren and Sebastian were still asleep. Sunshine had managed to fall asleep, her head in Harmony's lap, fingers weaving and stroking Sunshine's hair. The rest were awake and looking anxious. Sugar still hadn't left Santana's side but she hasn't said anything yet. Silent. It was silently unnerving. Sugar always had something to say. I hear Sue curse and I look up. Smoke is billowing around the sky and panic hits my system. I stumble to the window and looks below. "No." My word is whispered yet everyone seems to hear it as they scramble to get up and look out the window. Below us is the mansion. Fire eats away at it and smoke is pouring out of it. Our home was burning to the ground. My eyes look around for the others. Where were they? Did they get out or were they captured? Where was Quinn?
