Okay so funny story, so at the beginning of the summer my computer broke and i had to leave for camp so i didnt have time to fix it so this is a really unusually late update... Also to make matters worse this chapter is more of a filler chapter... so i feel as though i've let you all down in some way. Do not worry, there will be more action next chapter i swear. oh well. enjoy :)

The Doctor cautiously knocked on the already somewhat opened door.

"What"? came a tired sounding voice

"may I come in?"

The Master grumbled something, which The Doctor took as a yes.

Sitting down in a chair beside the bed, The Doctor began to speak.

"so I assume that if I ask you why the shed is standing and why the television has been moved, I won't get a straight and/or truthful answer"

"I'm wounded Doctor, you know that I always have been truthful when answering your questions" The Master said, feigning hurt, then resigning a bit answered "The truth is that, as you know, I hate this god forsaken planet. I don't want to stay here longer than needed so I'm just trying to speed up the process"

"fine, okay then" The Doctor responded "just so you know Rory is on board now so we're leaving soon."

"good" was the blonds reply

"so here's the deal" standing up again "I have decided that you are not allowed in this room at all hours of the day, like you are. You will come down and be social, well, not social per say, just grace us with your presence, if you will. Also-" the doctor pinched his nose "you need a shower, and a change of clothes before you come down, don't want to make Rory think you're a hermit"

"Shut up" The Master said, very annoyed "just leave, I'm perfectly fine staying in this room"

"and that's the exact reason why you are not allowed in here during the day"

"not going to happen"

"I'm not giving you a choice in the matter" The Doctor replied, in an unusually serious tone

The Master groaned in annoyance, but finally agreed. "fine, whatever, just please go"

"and I expect you to get along"

"Oh don't worry, I'll be social" The master replied, smiling to himself. He was going to make the most of this, and if luck would go his way, he wouldn't be forced to be with the apes ever again.

The Master walked into the counsel room, in fresh jeans and a grey sweatshirt, wearing a smirk he hadn't worn in a long time. He sauntered straight up to Rory and shook his hand and perfectly cheerfully, he began speaking:

"hello you must be Rory. My name is The Master."

Suspicious, The Doctor began watching the interaction

Rory smiled and responded "on, nice to meet you, I hadn't been told there was someone else with us"

His smile growing, he continued "oh, well I might tell you about myself then. I'm also a Time Lord but I'm also insane, I've tried to take over the world many times, in my second to last attempt I was killed but then resurrected. However that was a fail and I began to crave food to the extent I resorted to eating humans. Then I tried to take over the world again and got sucked into, well, basically hell. I somehow got out. Most recently however I have been kidnapped by the Doctor, So here I am" The Master ended, still grinning like a madman.

The Doctor wore a look that was a mix of thoughtful agreement, worry, and slight second hand embarrassment.

Rory, taken aback, tried to stutter out a coherent sentence "wait..you..how..you were a cannibal"

"well technically like I said, I'm a Time Lord, so it wasn't really cannibalism…"

Rory looked like he was going to be sick "ok Doctor, I think I might need to leave right now"

"No no, you can't leave I just got you" The Doctor turned to the Master "you promised you'd behave"

"Actually, to be specific, I said I would try to be social" The Master countered

"Fine, yes, but I also wanted you to maybe not scare out guests to the point where one of them wants to leave"

"well you should have said that"

The Doctor lets out an exasperated sigh

"Oh dear have I annoyed you, well I guess I'll just excuse myself then" The Master said turning around

"Wait, no you are not going anywhere. Nice try though" The Doctor said, still harboring annoyance, but it calming once he understood what the blond was trying to do. He actually found it amusing and childish to some degree.

"please, you can't actually expect to keep me down here, not after I just made the ape uncomfortable. Don't you care about the opinions of your companions Doctor?"

"Yes I do but, ugg are we really going to argue about this, this is pointless" He finished, somewhat lamely

"Actually, may I have a say in this?" Rory suddenly asked

"Sure" the Doctor said hesitantly

"Listen, so I am thinking that whatever he did isn't as bad as he just made it out to be"

"It is" The Master chimed in

"And I'm sure that we can, maybe find some way to make this work. After all, if The Doctor trusts you enough to keep you here, then I trust his judgment" Rory finished, looking suspiciously at The Master, then to The Doctor

"I mean, as long as long as he doesn't eat us in our sleep" Rory added, trying to lighten the mood, but also being completely serious.

"Don't worry, that was just a phase. I'm over it, I think"

By this point, Rory understood that The Master just wanted to antagonize him, and he wasn't going to let that happen. So Rory's only response was rolling his eyes.

Changing the subject, the doctor ran up to the control panels "So where to?" he said excitedly

"Surprise us, Raggedy Man" Amy shouted, The Doctor had almost forgotten about her, with all of the tension that had been taking place.

"very well, hold on" And with that, The TARDIS shook, making its ever familiar noise, and soon they were flying away to god knows where.

Again, really sorry about the lack of action. And the shortness. I have a good plan for the next chapter so please stick it out for at least one more chapter lol. that wasn't really funny, i don't know why i typed 'lol'. awkward. okay so Review please with tips and comments! i love you!
