AN: Still do not own the fabulous Dixon boys or the world they live in.

They hadn't been on the road for more then three hours when the convoy came to a stop. With a sigh Meg exited her truck like the rest of them curious why they had stopped. From what she had observed at the quarry the only real problems came from Dale's R.V., but Merle had helped fix the latest engine problem before they left.

"So sightseeing?" Meg looked around the road it was tight but there didn't seem to be a need to move anything out of the way.

Lori threw a sneer her way, "No!" she looked like she might continue but Rick stepped in.

"We're low on fuel."

Meg pinched the bridge of her nose, "You're telling me that even with an extra day before moving out, no one thought to check their gages or send a couple scouts to get fuel." the unprofessional and amateurish actions of these people. Most were civilians but the two cops that were acting as leaders needed to get their shit together.

"I'm gonna go mark the cars with fuel." Came the quiet voice of Glenn.

"I'll be right behind you." T-Dog pulled out a large jerry can and hose, Merle exchanged looks with Daryl shrugged and followed with another can and hose.

Meg listen for a few seconds as some of the others seem to think this was social time, she shook her head and started back towards her truck ignoring that Daryl was following. She reached in the back and pulled her bottomless bag out as well as an old extended bag she kept around for nostalgia, she handed Dixon the later and walked to the first auto in the jam and started searching. Daryl quickly moved to do the same realizing it would be a waste to not at least check for supplies.

While scanning the surrounding area Meg caught sight of a slight heat haze moving through the sky. Making sure no one was watching her she watched for a few more seconds realizing the way it moved was like a bird in flight. Putting together that it was most likely a disillusioned owl, she slipped inside the tree line giving Dale who had seen her walk off from his perch the bathroom sign.

Once sure she wasn't seen from the road she waited until the owl landed canceling the charm and removing the letter.

"Omega,

They told me you walked out and why. I am so sorry I wasn't there. I barely escaped my post my SO was turned and everyone abandoned ship. The city is gone, the magical district was deserted besides the dead. I of course followed procedure and secured all that was salvageable. I met an American mundane and needed his help to get through the dead and to my contact who could fly me to the USA. We barely managed to get to the Marina unscathed. The pilot I had set up everything with got caught up with some undesirables and now we have no way out. I need a way out preferably mundane as magic transport puts arrival as a high risk, and Jeff isn't in the know. They told me they couldn't spare someone for just a single agent and a no-maj.

Curator"

Meg read the letter twice more before nodding to herself. She quickly fished out paper and two envelopes and a pen. She first penned a letter to an old asset she had helped shortly before she caught up with the quarry group, reminding him of his debt and telling him the contact details for the pick up and sealed it. She looked at the next page mindful that someone was gonna come looking for her soon.

"Curator,

Have contacted one of my assets he'll contact you to confirm shortly after you get this. Go ahead and read this Jeff guy into the big secret, don't worry about legalities our employers seem to be the last semi functioning authority this side of the Atlantic. At least who aren't hiding out waiting for someone else to clean up everything. Currently I'm wandering the wilds of Georgia, you get stateside send word.

Omega"

Sealing the second missive she attached them to the owl instructing him to go to her asset first, then with a wave of her hand the bird was once again nothing more then a heat haze in the Georgia sky.

When Meg appears out of the woods she receives a few suspect looks, she rolls her eyes and starts back to scavenging through the vehicles on the road around them ignoring the pissy looking Lori. That woman was really starting to irritate her. Merle made his way over to her not making comment on the fact her bag should be full by now.

"So those jugs in the bed of your truck, they got any gas in 'em or do they also need topping off?" Meg thought about it for a second.

"Sure if you guys found enough to cover everyone."

Once the rigs were full up and the expanded jugs in Megs truck were topped off they made their way on down the line, Meg marking the map that they scavenged the area and that there was a bit left to collect if one were inclined to come back through.

Pulling into the CDC did not inspire confidence in Meg, and by the look of the others she wasn't alone in her thoughts. Ignoring the now unfortunately common smell of decomp, Meg took her blades and started picking off the walkers who started popping out the trees. She was mindful that Daryl was shooting his bow and Merle seemed to be wielding a makeshift broadsword. As Rick started yelling about whoever was inside was killing them she silently argued his loud ass mouth was doing the job more so than CDC camera man.

"Just knock his ass out and lets get the fuck outta here!" Shane looked over at Meg for a moment before nodding and made a move towards Rick just as the door was opened.

When Meg passed Merle she passed along some advice. "I wouldn't bring in much more then your weapons and a couple changes of clothes."

He tilted his head and stared for a second before giving her a nod and catching up with Daryl. Meg grabbed her favorite bag she had been using earlier and made her way towards the door taking out a couple more walkers waiting for the others to get done.

As Jenner takes everyones blood Meg listens to his thoughts, she maintains her composure with some effort as it is revealed that everyone is infected. She waited for him to say something about it or even about the oddity he noted with her blood, but he just said nothing unexpected had been discovered.

Meg watched as the group split to claim rooms and shower, she was preoccupied with the countdown clock she had spied on their way in, so when Merle grabbed her arm and directed her into a office with a couple couches and a recliner she was confused.

"You can bunk with us for now."

"Okay. Why?"

"Well you did say you would stick with me and Daryl if I didn't go nuts on the others." She still didn't look convinced. "And maybe we could talk without everyone else nosing in later."

"Alright then." With that she tossed her bag in the chair and pulled out a change of clothes before heading to the showers.

Finishing with her shower under ten minutes later she made her way back to the room dropped off her clothes and ignoring the incredulous looks the Dixons shot her, she made her way to the kitchen to see what was available.

She found Jenner there looking over the options he had available that was quick to heat up for the hungry invaders. She glanced over the options and pulled the three partly full pans towards the oven to reheat them as the rest washed up. Not very hungry herself she put up the unchosen dishes and spied a smaller dish of rice, and getting the go ahead from Jenner she ate that finishing it before anyone joined them.

The group trickled in as Meg and Jenner placed the food on the table and while Meg passed the plates and flatware out Jenner produced alcohol. As the rest of the tired group ate and drank celebrating Meg excused herself to go crash secure in the knowledge she would be safe for a few hours before the world starting knocking again.
