For the Love of Cinnamon

"I'm in love with a girl I hate,
She enjoys pointing out every bad thing about me."
- Forever the Sickest Kids

It was obvious, Leo Valdez missed her. He missed her a whole lot. It was weird, no, weird was not the proper term. Weird was finding out that your father's a Greek god (Not a metaphor for hot, his dad was seriously a Greek god. For reals. But his dad was hot, literally fire and flames hot.) Leo having feelings for a girl was… a first. Of course he used to like Hazel, uh, scratch that. He thought he liked Hazel and there was also a point where Hazel thought she liked Leo too but only because Leo looked like Hazel's first boyfriend who happened to be his great grandfather. Ah, let's add that to the Weird List shall we? But Calypso wasn't just a girl. She wasn't mortal. Okay, maybe Leo liking a nymph was also weird.

But it was different with Calypso.

Leo grinned. He liked her name. It was very… Greek-y. He liked her almond-shaped eyes. He liked her voice, and her singing voice? Ugh. If she had a song on iTunes, he'd buy it right away and listen to it non-stop. He liked how annoyed they both were at each other when they first met, ready to bite each other's heads off, how she thought the gods were insulting her. And her hair. Her hair smelled like cinnamon. Sometimes, if he concentrated, he could actually smell-

"LEO!"

Leo jerked up, confused. "Holy Hephaestus! Where's the fire?"

He scanned his surroundings and remembered. Mess Hall. Meeting with the others. Gaea must die.

It was Piper who called out his name, her hand was on top of his and she gave it a squeeze before she let go. The others were looking at him worriedly.

"You okay, man?" Jason asked.

"Yeah," he lied. "Daydreaming. Sorry."

"Cinnamon," Percy suddenly said.

Leo was speechless for a second. Was Percy suspecting? Did he know?

Percy exchanged glances with Annabeth. They both looked better now; they looked more alive ever since Tartarus. Leo shuddered at the thought of that place.

"Cinnamon rolls," Percy finally said. "You have at least a dozen cinnamon rolls on your plate."

He looked down at his plate and sure enough there was a pile of freshly baked cinnamon rolls in front of him. Stupid magical hall. "Oh. These. Want some?" he offered, forcing a laugh.

Percy raised an eyebrow at him. If he was going to say something about the rolls, he just shrugged it off. "No thanks. Where was I?"

"Just a few more days before we reach Athens," Annabeth quoted.

"Right. So it's just a few more days before we reach Athens and…"

Leo tuned Percy out once more. Gods, he had it bad. He wanted to see Calypso again. And again and again and again. Even just to dream of her would have been enough but all he'd been having was nightmares about Gaea. Oh, what he'd give…

He remembered how pretty she looked when she helped in out in her white shirt and jeans. And how he didn't want to leave her behind and the look in her eyes wanted him to stay. He would have. He honestly would have if, you know, the alternative wasn't the end of the world. Ah, and when her lips touched his… every nerve in his body went completely nuts.

He'd see her again. After they kick the earth goddess's butt, he'll go find her island (Oh-gee-something that was hard to pronounce.) He swore it on the River Styx. He will.

He grabbed one cinnamon roll from his plate and took a bite.

Leo smirked and made a mental note to give Calypso a Team Leo shirt when they meet after the war.

Because Calypso was so Team Leo.

-End-

Author's notes: I know, nothing really happened in this fic but I had to write a LeoxCalypso fic because they're too cute. I love them sooo much! And as always, pardon my typos and/or grammatical errors if I missed any.
