Damon switched his gaze from Lexi to Stefan. "So if you, Ric, and little Gilbert are all flesh like and real looking, that means something went horribly wrong when Bonnie tried to pull the veil up and you two are having dance party USA."

Stefan rested his head on the sofa. "Yes, how selfish of me to appreciate these rare moments with my dead best friend, I should be upstairs grooming my hero hair."

Lexi let out a laugh and was about to take a swing of a bottle when Damon took it from her, "Ok," she shrugged.

"Well, I guess this is a way to celebrate our supernatural apocalypse, so now any of you want to take some guesses on what the hell went wrong?"

The doorbell rang and Lexi looked over her shoulder. "I'll get it."

She opened the door and Elizabeth looked back startled. "Um, hello."

Lexi cocked her head back curiously. "I know who you are, you're the blond that replaced me."

Elizabeth continued to look puzzle.

"Sorry, I should probably introduce myself. I am, was Stefan's best friend," she shook her hand. "Lexi."

"I'm Elizabeth," she paused. "Wait, was? Does that mean you're-"

Stefan cleared his throat. "Dead."

Damon smirked from where he was drinking. "Guilty as charged."

Elizabeth threw him a dirty look. "You killed her?"

Damon shrugged. "In my defense I was an asshole back then."

"Yeah, good thing that hasn't changed." She replied sarcastically.

Lexi laughed. "I like you already."

The windows shattered and rapid bullets started to fill the house. Stefan and Elizabeth immediately took cover, but Damon managed to get hit with one of the bullets. A familiar voice said. "Mate, I got a message from the witch Quetsiyah herself."

Damon groaned as he stood up. "Vaughn, I thought I killed you."

"You left me on that island to die," he reloaded his gun. "Lucky I borrowed this from Conner, shoots wood like lead." He positioned the gun again.

Vaughn gave out a little whimper of pain and Damon raised an eyebrow. Stefan stood behind Vaughn holding his heart in his hand.

"That cap and gown really does suit you," Elizabeth teased Stefan as she fixed his cap in the right direction.

Lexi pretended to think. "I know right? Maybe his destiny was to be in high school for the rest of his life because he looks so good in that cap and gown."

"Hilarious," Stefan smirked. "Like you two have ever been to high school."

"I went to one cheerleading competition and prom." She pointed out. "I do have some high school experiences."

"Prom, really?" Lexi raised an eyebrow. "Did he dance?"

"It was one of the rare occasions that I didn't have to drag him, but yes he did."

Lexi shook her head. "That's weird because Stefan is a really good dancer, one time in the sixties-"

Stefan groaned. "Don't start."

Their joking was interrupted when Damon stepped into the hallway with a newly reawaken Vaughn.

"Where are you going?" Stefan demanded.

"Where do you think?" Damon didn't bother looking back. "To wake up Silas."

Lexi and Elizabeth looked at Stefan. "He's not going to really wake him up," he said trying to sound sincere. "Wherever Damon is taking him is a distraction."

"Well, I don't really trust Damon," Elizabeth argued. "I'm not going to let him give that cure to the dead hunter. I'm going to give it to Rebekah."

Stefan sighed. She was so stubborn. "I'll come with you."

She shook her head. "I'll manage on my own. It's your final graduation," she kissed him quickly. "And I want you to enjoy it."

"What the hell are you doing here?" Damon hissed to Elizabeth who was walking at an annoyingly close pace behind him. "I can lure him on my own."

Elizabeth shrugged. "I'm just making sure you don't do anything stupid," she frowned when she saw the purpling veins on Damon's neck. "Is that-"

"Werewolf venom," Damon turned away. "His bullets are laced with them, lucky you're an Original."

She hesitated. "So you're going to-"

"Die?" he snorted. "Yes, unless your dear older brother decided to come back from New Orleans, and no don't give me that sad face. I'm not buying it."

Elizabeth sighed. "Just because you're not my favorite person in the world, doesn't mean I wish for your death, Damon."

"Well Miss Beth, I'm flattered," they stopped at the quarry. "Well, here it is, this is where I buried Silas."

Vaughn looked confused. "I'm not following, Damon."

"He's buried deep in the water, guess I should have told you to bring scuba gear."

Vaughn started walking down, his gun still positioned towards Damon. He finally noticed the wound on his neck. He smirked. "Conner must have laced this with werewolf venom."

Damon smirked. "Not as dumb as you sound."

Vaughn shot his once in the leg and in the torso. "This was all a lie, wasn't it?" He pulled out the cure. "Well, at least this in mine. Where's Silas?"

Alaric flung Vaughn's body across his shoulder and threw him to the quarry.

"Wait, the cure!" she protested.

Ric held it up. "I got it."

Elizabeth kneeled down besides Damon and pulled up his shirt. He glance at her weakly. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Getting the bullets out," she snapped as she dugged her nails inside Damon's torso. "Maybe we can save some time," she eyed Ric. "Call, Stefan. Caroline told me she send Klaus a graduation announcement, maybe he showed up."

Damon snorted. "You think Klaus will show up for a graduation ceremony?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Do you want to live or not?"

Damon paused. "Good point."

Elizabeth paused at the doorway, she had just entered the Salvatore estate when she heard Lexi's voice. "You're missing out to weigh in on the great Elena Gilbert cure debate."

Stefan sighed. "Those two keep talking about the best way to save the world and yet they have failed to address their biggest issue."

Lexi raised an eyebrow. "Which is?"

"Klaus saved Damon's life. Elena's emotions are back. The sire bond is broken. She finally knows how she feels-"he paused he was hearing Damon and Elena talking. "Fine, then I'm not sorry either, I'm not sorry that I meet you, I'm not sorry that in death you make me feel most alive. I love you, Damon-"Damon broke her up and started kissing her.

"Now who's eavesdropping?" Lexi asked gently.

Stefan sighed. "I know it's stupid of me to still care about her and about Damon. Everything should be easier now. Elena choose Damon and I choose to be with Elizabeth, but-"

"But you still care about Elena," she said. "Stefan, just because you break up with someone doesn't mean you stop caring about them. I think a part of you will always care about Elena even while you're still with Elizabeth."

Elizabeth bit her lip, to keep the tears from spilling. She was such an idiot.

But she wasn't sad, she was angry. Everywhere she went it had been either Tatia or Katherine, and now after ninety years she still couldn't be happy because of Elena. She was convince that Stefan would never let Elena go until she stopped luring both Damon and Stefan. Elizabeth had lived a thousand years, she kept hearing the same stories with Tatia and Katherine, and if Elena was like either of them she knew the cycle would never end.

She was tired of Elena getting everything she wanted no matter what the consequences.

She had killed her brother Kol, because he had refused to let them get the cure and now Elena didn't even want the cure.

Elena had chosen Damon, but what if she kept switching sides. Would she pick Stefan again? And would Stefan run after her?

She shook her head. She needed to get rid of her. With her in the picture she would never be happy.

"So Portland huh?" Lexi asked Stefan as the two of them drove towards the quarry to dump Silas' body.

"Yep," Stefan said. "Elizabeth got us tickets, she though that I would like the cute forest animals in Portland. We're leaving on a midnight flight."

Lexi paused for a bit. "Stefan, you know I don't like getting involve in your love life, even when I should have especially with that Katherine girl-"

Stefan sighed. "But you're going to give me some advice."

"I am actually. Elizabeth heard our conversation that we had earlier," she said. "I know you're confused Stefan, but you need to sort out your feelings. If you still have feelings for Elena tell Elizabeth and take a break. She's a nice girl, she'll understand you shouldn't lead her along. You're hurting Elizabeth, Stefan."

"I should move on," Stefan concluded. "It's not fair for Elizabeth. It's not fair for Damon. It's not fair for anyone. I need to make a decision."

Lexi nodded. "It's time to live your life. With Elizabeth or with anyone you choose."

"You know for someone who doesn't want to give me advice, you're good at it." He looked at the empty seat. "Bye, Lexi."

When Stefan reached the quarry he opened the backseat of the car, but Silas wasn't there.

"Don't bother I'm not there."

Stefan turned around and there stood Silas, this time disguised as Elizabeth. "You were stone, Bonnie turned you into stone."

Silas shrugged. "That's the funny thing about spells. Once the witch who cast them is dead, the spells are undone."

"Bonnie is not dead!"

Silas rolled his eyes. "Who cares? I've been alive for 2000 years, I'm immortal I can never die. So Nature had to create a version of me, a doppelganger that could die."

Stefan took a step back. "So this is your true form?"

Silas shook his head. "Not exactly."

Silas transformed exactly into Stefan. "Hello, my shadow self," he stabbed Stefan in the stomach. "Do you know what it's like to starve for 2000 years?" Stefan fell to his knees.

Silas smirked as he threw Stefan into the safe and watched as the safe fell into the bottom of the quarry.

"Bonnie?" Elena peeked inside the boiler room at Mystic Falls high school. "Jeremy, are you guys in here?"

Kol appeared behind her. "Well, well talking about unfinished business."

Kol proceeded to attacked her, but before he could, he disappeared. Elena squinted as she looked around frightened. She stood up slowly.

Elizabeth stood behind her, she smirked. "I forgot to give you my graduation present. My bad."

Elizabeth dragged Elena by the collar of her dress and slammed her against the row of lockers. "What the hell are you doing?" Elena growled as she tried to stand up, but Elizabeth slammed her head against a window breaking it.

She shrugged. "Something I should have done a long time ago. You've made my life hell, Elena."

Elena grabbed a locker door and slapped Elizabeth across the face throwing her to the ground.

"I haven't done anything to you!"

"Yes, poor innocent Elena. She never does anything wrong. Everyone is so mean to poor Elena!" Elizabeth grabbed Elena by her brown hair and pushed her to the ground. "Well, guess what I'm not buying that little sob story because you have been leading Stefan on all this time even when he's with me. Why do you want him around? You have Damon, oh wait you probably want to switch every other week."

Elena kicked Elizabeth in the stomach and slammed her head against the lockers. "Did you ever think that Stefan might not want someone who's an insecure, paranoid, nervous wreck as his girlfriend?"

Elizabeth turned around and twisted Elena's elbow, she pushed her against the lockers while at the same time breaking off a wooden broom. She stabbed the wooden stake in Elena's stomach. "Well, I guess we'll never know, will we."

"You deserve whatever you want out of life," Elena gave the cure to Stefan.

Stefan returned the cure back to Elena. "Listen, I'm glad you're happy for who you are now. Everything I did, I did for you. So you had the choice to choose if your wanted to be a vampire or not."

Elizabeth smirked. "See you in hell!"

Before she could stab the stake in Elena's heart, Elena pulled out the cure and jabbed it inside Elizabeth's mouth. Elizabeth's eyes widened as the cure dissolved in her mouth. She felt her muscles growing weaker and the world becoming darker.

She fell limply to the floor.

Elena breathed deeply besides her. "Have a nice human life, Elizabeth."
