Hinata was in the middle of training with her father who was slightly different from the usual way he was, usually, when she was facing him and tried to hit him he gave her pointers or told her what to do. But today he let her fight with some kids from their clan who were obviously bigger than her in age and size. But it still did not matter to the little heiress who simply defeated them quickly, gracefully and without any problem. You could clearly see that something changed in Hinata as she was no longer afraid of hurting her opponents or of letting her power and ability to flourish. 'It's our training that did it!'. At least that was what Hiashi thought, but the real reason was something that Shikamaru told her a little after she met him that made her change a little more about training.

"Ok, that's enough for today!" Said Hiashi loudly, causing the last of the children to try and get up from the floor after Hinata defeated him.

"Big Sister! It was just amazing!" Said Hanabi from her hiding place after she watched her sister practice again and showed her how strong she was. Hanabi was Hinata's little sister who was several years younger than her. She greeted her older sister with a big smile and hugged her.

Hiashi smiled at the sight of his two daughters, it was clear to him that his little girl loved her older sister and wanted to be like her in the future. It was something that made him happy and treated them less harshly than before. The only interest that remained in his mind and disturbed him was all the matter with his successor.

"father, now that we have finished training today, I wanted to go out and play outside!" Hinata said with a kindly smile and bowed to her father.

On a normal day he would let her go without a second thought, but after what he had heard from the council he had to keep her far away from the monster outside their walls. "Hinata, I wanted you to start training your little sister," he said with a ready excuse.

Hinata looked confused and looked at her father "to train Hanabi? But she is still too young... "She replied.

"Really, father! Can I train with older sister?" Hanabi was excited and jumped in place with a big smile on her face.

Hinata was happy to see the expression of her little sister who was very happy to learn from her older sister, but she felt a little bad that she would not see her two friends, and especially Naruto. 'This is just for today right?' She thought to herself that she could see the two of them tomorrow. "All right! Let's start with the basics Hanabi," she said to her little sister, who hugged her hand and walked with her to her room, to begin the training.

'Now I just have to see how long it will last,' he thought. He had no other way to keep Hinata in the house without outright telling her not to be around the demon boy. "Or maybe there's another way..." he asked himself as he thought of ways to keep his older daughter away from a certain blonde Jinjuriki.

"It's strange..." Naruto pointed out to Jiraiya as the two leaned against a tree and ate the shrimp that Jiraiya had bought them.

"What's strange Naruto?" The Sanin asked in reply.

"It's been a few days since we saw Hinata-chan."

"Really? maybe she's just busy, she's the heiress of her clan so she can't go out and play all the time," Jiraiya said, trying to calm Naruto down.

"But Shikamaru is also the heir of his clan and he's never busy!"

"Naruto, the Hyuga clan is one of the most traditional and respected clans in our village, and perhaps even the most powerful after the-!" Jiraiya began to explain before Shikamaru's voice interrupted him.

"No, Naruto is right..." he remembered and all he knew, the young Hinata didn't have a reason to not meet with them. "Naruto how do you feel?" He asked his brother who answered him with a small smile.

Hinata sighed slightly as she sat on her bed and looked out the window, it had been a good few days since she had left her house and even longer she had not seen Naruto. Even with those days, she enjoyed being with her little sister but still missed his smile and how he made her smile with everything he did.

Her days were packed with training with her father and her sister and with studies as her father decided that it was the time she would learn, and when she asked him why he simply answered the same answer he gave her about the Hanabi's training, "It's good to start early," he replied. She would never think of defying her father's word out of respect, but this time she really thought of going out just to see her friends.

She had already wanted to go out every day after she had finished with the things he had given her, but he always gave her more exercises or other things that occupied her until the day was over. "It's like he's trying to keep me away from Naruto-kun..." she told herself but didn't know how right she was when tears began to leak from her eyes.

'Knock knock'

She heard a faint knock coming from her window and made her jump a little, she saw someone who was completely dressed in black and was next to her window.

"Ike!" She was interrupted and fell from her bed in fear and shouted.

She moved away from her bed until she saw blue eyes emerging from the 'man' in the window.

'N-Naruto-kun?!' She got up immediately from the floor and back her bed and from there she opened the window of her room and let him in.

"It was so much harder to get in here than I thought! you know how many guards got around at night-" Naruto began to say, sitting on the bed next to the young Hyuga. And felt Hinata embrace him. He smiled and hugged her back, "You're not the real one..." He could hear her muttering as he felt her tears fall on his neck.

'Knock knock!'

"Hinata-sama? Is everything okay?" Asked one of the housekeepers who heard the heir's cry.

The two children on the bed broke off immediately as Hinata ran and blocked the door from opening up. "I'm fine! I just had a bad dream!" She said aloud as the maid went back to her business after she made sure the girl was ok.

Hinata who was still at her door breathed in relief and returned to her bed beside Naruto's clone.

She looked at him with a sad smile, even though he was a precise double of the Jinjuriki she could tell he was not the real and only a double the second she saw him.

"The boss sent me to see what's happened to you lately, he really freaked out with Shikamaru and Jiraiya-sensei," said the double sitting on the bed, studying the heiress's room.

"I'm sorry, recently my father asked me to start teaching my little sister Hanabi how to fight and learn more things in preparation for being the heir..." She replied to his question and sighed in frustration.

"I understand, but you don't have to worry. I'm sure that's something that will be over soon and we can go back to practice and we'll all hang out together! " He said with an excited, hopeful voice but saw that her expression was not much different yet.

"I suppose you're right..." Her voice was sad for obvious reasons.

"Mmmm... so you want me to tell you what you missed so far?" Asked the double who tried to encourage her, he gave her a positive nod after she hesitated for a moment and then he began to tell her.

...

It took about an hour while Naruto's double, still sitting in Hinata's room on the floor as she lay on her bed listening to all the things they did while she was gone, she thought it would be something that would make her feel worse. But to her surprise, the things she heard made her laugh, relax and forget that she was not with them. The way he told her made her feel like she was there with them all the time and she fell asleep with a smile on her face.

'So I guess it's my time to go,' thought the double who had covered the Hyuga with her blanket and disappeared with a weak pouf.

...

Naruto who was in his bed and got the memories of the meeting of his double and smiled and murmured 'Hinata-chan' before he fell asleep completely.

It was another quiet night in the Nara compound, Naruto and his brother Shikamaru were sitting in the yard of their house playing shogi while Shikaku and Yoshino watched them with great interest. The games did not last too long but were always interesting to watch. On the one hand was Shikamaru who was a genius and always thinking forward and on the other side was Naruto who had learned to play properly but was still relying more on his feelings and not thinking forward as he should have. Shikamaru could try to change his brother's attitude but decided against it, because after all, that was what Naruto did best. And he was sure that both Hinata and his parents thought so.

The night passed without any serious interest except Naruto's muttering about his cheating brother and swore he would be the next winner, and Yoshino's giggles when she saw the two.

'Knock knock!'

There was a knock on the door of their house that drew Yoshino to the door, 'Who's that at this hour?' She thought to herself but still opened the door and saw someone from their clan standing in the doorway with a letter in his hand.

"Good evening and sorry for the late disturbance Yoshino-sama! I have a letter for Shikaku-sama!" He said and bowed immediately to Yoshino, who was already accustomed to this treatment from her clan even though she preferred to be treated normally.

"Letter? From who?" She asked him to come in.

"Who is at such an hour?" Shikaku asked in an exhausted voice and reached the front door and saw the man in the door.

"A good evening Shikaku-sama! A few minutes ago a messenger from the Hyuga clan came with a letter for you!" He said, handing the letter to Shikako who took it lazily.

"Letter? they said about what?" He asked the man, narrowing his eyes to the messenger who shivered in his place because of the look.

"N-No Shikaku-sama, the only thing they said that no one but you would open the letter and that they were expecting an answer until next week!".

'What's the matter with Hiashi? He needed something from me?' Shikaku thought before he opened the letter and read it quickly. 'That's it? and I thought it was something serious, so troublesome...' After he finished reading the letter, he released the messenger, he bowed again and left the house.

"What does Hiashi want?" Yoshino asked, moving closer to her husband's side to see the contents of the letter before Shikaku moved the letter away from her. "Is it something serious?" She asked anxiously but received a negative answer from him.

"It's something I'm only supposed to see, so you can't know..." He just said and started walking back to the porch.

Yoshino's face began to show a pout as she folded her hands and turned her back to her husband as she mumbled something "I didn't really want to know...", she felt her body move to the air while Shikaku lifted her into the air like a princess and their eyes locked at one another, his eyes said he was just kidding and did not mean what he said.

Her hand went through his hair and she kissed him on the cheek and "You're lucky I love you" she told him with her smile.

He gave her a gentle kiss on her lips that told her 'I know'.

"Dad, Mom, what are you doing?" Naruto and Shikamaru asked as they looked at Shikaku who held Yoshino like a princess.

"Both of you come and I will explain," he said and continued to hold his wife in his arms until they reached back to the porch. Yoshino changed her place and moved to Shikaku's back and played with his hair with a mischievous smile on her face.

"I just got a letter from the Hyuga clan..." Shikaku began to say and made the two boys look forward.

Naruto had already told his brother what Hinata had said when he sent his double to see why she had not been able to meet them. It seemed strange to Shikamaru, while Hinata could always do what she wanted when she didn't practice with her father or her little sister. But strangely enough, he could understand that people in her clan and especially her father had begun to notice how much stronger she had become and would react differently to her than he had expected but the interest was still strange and required a thorough examination.

"And they invited us to dinner with them!" Finished Shikaku and looked at Yoshino on his back and smiled at him as she read the letter over his shoulder.

The two of them missed Shikamaru's face, which had changed into a kind of terror in dozens of different situations and reasons in his mind to try to understand where this invitation came from. 'It's not normal! They know and plan something. I'm sure of that and probably that's why they prevented Hinata from leaving the house and meeting us' His thought was interrupted because he understood that they knew they had met with Hinata all this time.

'I'll have to talk to Naruto about it.' His thoughts went through his head before he noticed his father looking at him.

"What happened to Shikamaru? You don't want to go?" Yoshino asked, still beyond her husband's back, wondering why her son looked so pressed and pale.

"No, no Mom, I have no problem with that," he replied quickly, trying to calm himself down.

"Why did they invite us?" The question came from the blond Jinjuriki who didn't understand what the big deal was about.

"Well, Naruto, that means they want to entertain us and have us over for dinner," said Yoshino innocently, smiling at her blond son.

"So I guess we're going!" Shikaku replied that he understood that none of the members of his household had a problem with an evening at the Hyuga clan. "I'll give them a positive answer tomorrow, but in the meantime, both of you have to sleep!" He said to Naruto and Shikamaru and sent them both to bed.

'I'll have to find out with Hinata what all this stuff is about...' Shikamaru thought and led his brother into the room.

A few minutes after his two children had retired to bed, Shikaku was still on the porch and had passed over the letter he had received from Hiashi again. He felt there was something he had missed between the lines and tried to think what he had missed before he felt hot arms hugging his neck again.

"Shikaku.." Yoshino wore a long black robe that looked very sexy and inviting, "come to bed... I'm cold..." Yoshino whispered fiercely and began to pull him to their bed with a small smile on her face.

'The letter can wait!' He thought and followed his wife with no voice or resistance except his beating heart.

In the room of the two brothers, Shikamaru and Naruto were in their beds and the children talked about the invitation.

"So do you think they really know we've been hanging around with Hinata all this time?" Asked the Jinjuriki and looked at his brother, who was looking at the ceiling with hands behind his head.

"Honestly, I don't think they know everything but I feel we should not take chances and be careful," he told his brother in reply. He was sure they knew Hinata was going around with him and Naruto, but he doubted they knew about the training or Jiraiya. "Anyway go to sleep, we have a long day tomorrow..."

"Long? why? Are we going to do something special?" Asked the blonde as he read something.

"You can say that you will do something special after all someone needs to update Hinata and ask her if she knows something about it, and I'm sure she'll be happy to see you again," said the pineapple head and waited for Naruto's reply.

"I've already told you it's not like that, but I'll do it anyway because you're asking..." replied the blonde, hiding his face in embarrassment.

"I'm glad you're willing to help," grinned Shikamaru, covering himself and letting his thoughts go away while sleep took him.

Finally, the sweet morning that freed the two brothers from their sleep and woke them up came, the first, just like every morning, was Naruto who got up first to help his mother prepare breakfast. The blonde grabbed his usual apron in one of the closets in his room and came quietly out of the room to let his brother sleep some more.

After the family had finished their regular breakfast, the two boys parted from Yoshino and Shikaku and continued on to the village. Today was one of the special days when they would just go out to the village to meet Ino, Choji, and Sakura and just play without worrying about training.

Jiraiya who was busy with other things had left one of his frogs to look after the children in case anything happened, even with Shikamaru being able to take care of any matter himself.

'Now what to do about Hiashi ?' He thought.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Naruto and Shikamaru were at their regular training place with the Sanin, Naruto sent one of his clones to sneak into the Hyuga compound to talk to Hinata. This new routine was strange, but they had to make do with it until they were able to free Hinata from her father's defense.

Finally, the day came for Shikamaru's family to go for the Hyuga clan's.

The Nara family stood outside the Hyuga compound, as Shikaku and Yoshino decided to go with their two sons and enjoy a short walk before they reached Hiashi's house.

Yoshino and Shikaku led and walked in front of their children. Yoshino was dressed in a long white kimono with pink stripes and flowers, her hair was in a large braid on her shoulder and finally very little makeup on her face.

Shikaku beside her was dressed with a newer version of the kimono he wore in his house which was completely black with white stripes and a symbol of his clan that was on his back.

Naruto and Shikamaru were also dressed in clothes that were more for special occasions, Shikamaru was dressed in an older kimono that his parents had bought him for more special occasions even though he wore it only once or twice. The kimono itself was like his father's without the symbol of the clan on his back.

Naruto, on the other hand, was another story. For the young blonde Yoshino had to find something that would suit his personality but also something that was cute. What he was wearing was a dark blue kimono with green flames on the legs part. Yoshino was very happy that she had chosen something that suited the blonde by her own opinion, she still looked back and saw her two children talking to each other while she and Shikaku walked hand in hand before they finally reached the compound of the Hyuga clan with two guards who greeted them.

"Good evening Shikaku-sama, Yoshino-sama!" Said the two guards in Union, bowing to the heads of a clan who nodded his head at them in reply. "You arrived just in time, please come in."

Naruto and Shikamaru followed their parents into the compound filled with the members of the Hyuga clan. The Naras followed one of the guards who accompanied them to a large traditional style house that was quite noticeable among the other buildings. Naruto immediately recognized the structure that was actually Hinata's house while he looked at the window where he had been meeting with her lately.

What Shikamaru had told him before they left their house was still strong in his head and how to behave when he would see Hinata 'just act like Shikamaru said' he thought to himself.

Shikamaru, on the other hand, began to feel nostalgic as he looked around and saw the compound of the Hyuga that seemed quite similar to what he remembered from the future except some buildings he could not remember and describe as part of those destroyed in Pain's future attack.

They all finally entered the big building after the Hyuga that led them in and signaled them to follow him, the head of the Nara noticed someone standing in a long hallway waiting for them at the end.

"Shikaku-san, good evening, I'm glad you could join us at such a short notice."

"It's okay, Hiashi-san, anything to get out of my wife's cooking!" The head of the Nara replied with a smile.

'Slap!'

Yoshino slapped her husband in the head with a mischievous smile "Enough of your jokes, thank you very much for inviting us to Hiashi-san" Yoshino said to Hiashi while her husband scratched the place she hit with a small, embarrassed smile.

"Shikamaru, Naruto come here," Yoshino said to her two boys, motioning for them to approach them.

The two boys stood before Yoshino and Hiashi while the man's eyes went over the two boys and focused on Naruto.

"It's nice to meet you, Hiashi-sama," said the little Jinjuriki, and bowed to the head of the clan, Hiashi's eyes bore holes at Naruto's form, the boy felt he was standing in front of a lion who could eat him at any moment.

"Good evening, Hiashi-sama," said Shikamaru, and he too, after his brother bowed to Hiashi. He remembered that no matter what time he was in, the Hyuga was the clan that always demanded to be treated with the respect they deserved.

"Good evening to you as well, Yoshino-san, Shikamaru-san, and Naruto-san, I have to admit that I'm pretty surprised that you're not as late as usual".

"Well, I and Yoshino wanted to breathe some air before we arrived, so we decided to go out earlier and take the longer road," Shikaku answered the question. The truth was that he wanted to let Naruto relax before he entered his first social event with someone in the same status as Hiashi.

He started to lead them around the house, which was huge on the inside until they reached a large room with a long, low wooden table filled with the people of the Hyuga clan, in front of every available space was a cushion for the legs of the people sitting.

Hiashi, who was clearly at the head of the table, could see all the members of his family and his guests. To his right was his father and brother Hizashi and members of his family. From the left side of the head of the Hyuga was Shikaku and seated beside him sat Shikamaru followed by Naruto and lastly Yoshino.

The young Jinjuriki admired the large table and scanned the people at the table. Finally, he found Hinata, dressed in a blue kimono with signs of purple water drops. The little Hyuga who had seen him long before he saw her smiled for a moment before she cast her gaze on her plate in embarrassment.

'Naruto-kun looks so handsome,' she thought, embarrassed as her face began to warm up when she finally saw the real Naruto after what seemed like an eternity of wait.

'Wow... Hinata-chan is so cute!' The blond boy thought as he continued to look at his purple-haired friend.

"Shikaku-sama It's rare that you actually arrive when you are invited!" Said Hiashi's brother at the leader of the clan earning a smile and a giggle from Naruto and Yoshino. "I don't think you've met my son Neji" he gestured to his son sitting next to him with a white kimono.

Neji responded in a bow to their guests as his eyes passed Shikamaru and finally locked into Naruto's who stared at him with a smile.

The group began with a meal they served with conversations between them. Shikaku talked to Hiashi and Hizashi about all the matter with Kumo. Naruto and Shikamaru talked between them despite Naruto's desire to talk to Hinata. And finally, Hinata who spoke to the Hanabi and Neji and occasionally looked at the blond Jinjuriki.

One of the of the clansmen entered the dining hall in a trifle and walked quickly to the top of the Hyuga head and began to whisper something in his ear. "What? Is he really here?" Hiashi asked loudly and stood up. "Excuse me," he said to Shikaku and left the room.

Shikamaru could hear the voice of Hiashi and another voice he recognized immediately 'just in time' he thought before Hiashi went back into the room after which Jiraiya came in.

"Good evening to all of you, I hope you don't mind!" Said the Sanin with a big smile.

"Jiraiya-sama, I was not sure you were still in the village after the case with Kumo ended, I thought you were returning to your activities outside the village," said Shikaku, surprised to see the Sanin.

"Yes, I decided to stay in the village for the time being until I finish a few things," replied the Sanin, looking at Hiashi. "I'm sorry I landed without an invitation or a message Hiashi."

"Nonsense Jiraiya-sama!, I told you before that you're always welcome to visit... as long as you act accordingly," replied Hayashi.

"Ha! Ha! I promise!" Jiraiya scratched his head in embarrassment as he remembered the last time he had tried to look at the girls of the Hyuga and was caught, he sat down in one of the vacant places.

"Right! I wanted to ask you something about your children Shikaku-san," began Hiashi and pulled Nara's family attention to him. "I recently heard that my daughter Hinata began to walk with your two boys around the village..." The mad dropped the bomb and saw the reactions of the Nara family.

'So this is the reason for the invitation' he thought they would say while his father and mother looked at him at Naruto.

"Shikamaru you and Naruto know Hinata-chan?" asked Yoshino, who was as surprised as Shikaku.

"Yes, Naruto and I met Hinata when we were hanging around the village!" Shikamaru noted and received a favorable nod from his two friends.

"What? is that right, Hinata?" Hiashi turned the question to his eldest daughter.

"Yes, I know Shikamaru-kun and Naruto-kun," she replied with a small smile that she could not hide from her father's eyes.

"Hinata! How have you not told me that before?" Cried Hiashi loudly, forgetting that he was in front of his guests.

The little Hyuga began to panic and forgot what she was supposed to say about their meeting and looked at Naruto in panic.

'Not good! I didn't expect him to respond like this' thought the young Nara as he did not imagine Hiashi as someone so different from what he knew from the future.

"Actually, I'm the one responsible for that!" Began Jiraiya and pulled the eyes of the head of the Hyuga to him.

"Y-You? what do you mean, Jiraiya-sama?".

"Well, I pretty much came across them in the village, and I saw something quite interesting in them! And I started to train them from time to time!" The Sanin said with a smile and scratched his head.

Everyone's eyes threatened to pop out of their sockets in amazement, even Shikamaru and Naruto looked frightened.

'I can't believe you said that Jiraiya!' Thought Shikamaru as the Sanin had revealed something they were not supposed to say so fast.

"To train them?! You tell me you started training Hinata?" Asked Hiashi, who had begun to understand why his daughter had been so strong in such a short time.

"That's really surprising! I didn't expect to hear you go back to training someone again..." Shikaku observed, looking at his two sons who had forgotten to mention this detail until now.

"Well, I saw something interesting in them that made me want to try and teach again." The Sanin folded his hands and looked at the three.

'Jiraiya-sama wants to go back to teaching again? This is why Hinata has become a worthy heir to the Hyuga. Now all that remains is to get the demon out of the picture!' He began to think of until his eyes stopped on someone who would be very suitable for what he needed to be done.
