A/N: Since the new chapter isn't quite done yet I thought I'd post this little teaser for you as a Christmas present. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

Unfazed by its predicament, Golem pulled is head and limbs into its boulder-like shell, which briefly glowed white, and raced towards its opponent who wasn't as lucky and was struggling with its large, heavy head to get to its feet. Petal Dance's second barrage fired as Vileplume struggled to get up, firing over its trainers head before Vileplume was sent flying by Golem's Rollout.

Petal Dance fired a third barrage as Vileplume cartwheeled through the air causing it to spin even faster, dizziness and confusion combining to prevent it from dodging as Golem launched itself into the air, using a section of ground that had collapsed from Earthquake and formed a make shift ramp, and slammed Vileplume into the ground with Rollout's second attack before speeding off. Getting to its feet Vileplume shot a Sunny Day into the air before being floored by Rollout once again.

As Golem banked to come around for a fourth attack Vileplume got to its feet once more and fired a Solar Beam from its flower at the advancing Golem; the beam struck the rolling Rock type and halted it in its tracks, the two wrestling, with Golem trying to continue its advance as the Solar Beam tried to push it back. After a few moments the Solar Beam ended just as Golem's momentum was completely bled off, leaving Golem laying in the middle of the field as Vileplume lifted its head.

"Rock Slide," Brett instructed.

"Razor Leaf," Sawyer called.

Boulders rained down from the sky as a swarm of leaves shot from beneath Vileplume's petals that cut at Golem's body before a boulder slammed down in front of Vileplume and cut off the attack. Golem puled its body into its shell and raced forward, using one of the boulders that had landed on an angle as a ramp to launch itself into the air before flattening Vileplume with a Body Slam.

A Solar Beam, boosted by the Growth's Vileplume had gotten off earlier while getting back to its feet, launched Golem skywards while the follow up Mega Drain surged through Vileplume's body injuring itself due to the confusion from Petal Dance.

Spinning in mid-air Golem fired a Rock Tomb down on Vileplume surrounding it with boulders before throwing itself into a Double-Edge using the force of its fall to add more power to the attack. The sheer force of Golem's landing caused a large crater to form as the Rock Tomb trapping Vileplume was sent flying by the concussion wave.

Using a Mach Punch to get out of sight Hitmonlee knelt down and closed its eyes, its body outlined by a blue glow before a red glow crept up its body. This glow repeated twice more as Hitmonlee meditated before its eyes snapped open and it used a Mach Punch to avoid the Thunder Wave Slowbro shot off as it stepped around the boulder. Spinning to face his opponent Hitmonlee fired a Hidden Power causing Slowbro to stagger back as the orbs smacked it in the face while Hitmonlee darted away with Mach Punch.

Turning on the spot Hitmonlee sighted Slowbro with Mind Reader before springing into a High Jump Kick that Slowbro countered with a Mega Punch, both Pokémon being forced backwards before Slowbro caught Hitmonlee in another Psychic and slammed it into a boulder. Before Slowbro could continue to slam Hitmonlee around it recoiled as the burn Hitmonlee had inflicted, with a Blaze Kick it had snuck in while High Jump Kick and Mega Punch had clashed, flared up freeing Hitmonlee.

Stamping the ground Hitmonlee triggered an Earthquake throwing Slowbro off balance and allowing Rock Slide to hit with its full impact. As Slowbro dug itself out of the boulders Hitmonlee prepared a Metronome which resulted in it slashing Slowbro across the chest as it emerged with a Leaf Blade causing it to topple off the pile of boulders to the ground.

From the ground Slowbro caught Hitmonlee in a Psychic and bounced it into the ground a few times as it got to its feet, taking a few Hidden Power attacks while doing so. Once Slowbro was back on its feet it hurled Hitmonlee into the air where a Hyper Beam sent the Fighting type sprawling through the air to come crashing down to the ground.

"Sawyer and Pinsir may be in trouble here," Katerina commented. "It seems like Victreebel managed to land an Encore after interrupting Pinsir's first Focus Punch locking it into a move that can be easily countered. On top of that it seems a Toxic landed somewhere in that scuffle as well."

Victreebel broke Pinsir's next Focus Punch with a Sludge Bomb a scene that was repeated numerous times over the next few minutes as Encore forced Pinsir to keep trying to execute Focus Punch while Victreebel simply took pot shots at the Bug type to break its focus. After being tossed across the field by a Secret Power a white light emerged from Pinsir and dissipated showing the Encore had ended.

"Pinsir use Façade!" Sawyer called.

Pinsir charged across the field and slammed into Victreebel and launched the pitcher plant flying. Victreebel lashed out with its vine which speared into the ground before going taut. A green glow moved up the vine as Victreebel was slingshot back towards Pinsir for a Body Slam, as the glow reached Victreebel's body it visibly regained health.

Victreebel's Body Slam sent Pinsir tumbling and Victreebel took the time it took the Bug type to get to its feet in order to back away to where its vine had rooted itself into the ground. Launching another Sunny Day Victreebel fired another Solar Beam at Pinsir forcing it to bring up a Protect shield and allowing the Flycatcher Pokémon to power up twice with Growth before a Strength launched it backwards to land in the dust at Brett's feet.

Getting back up Victreebel once more used its planted vine to slingshot itself at Pinsir, spitting a glob of Acid causing Pinsir to dodge directly into the path of a Sludge Bomb that allowed the Flycatcher Pokémon to clamp its mouth around the top of Pinsir's head including its horns.

Using its many tentacles to quickly right itself, Tentacruel whipped its glowing tentacles around to catch Flareon with a Cut only for Flareon to dart out of the way before shooting a Shadow Ball. Tentacruel quickly brought another tentacle up to destroy the Shadow Ball before moving to attack Flareon with Water Pulse. Flareon spun and shattered the Water Pulse with an Iron Tail before spewing a swirling stream of fire that surrounded Tentacruel in a swirling vortex of flames.

Sending a Hidden Power swarm at Flareon, Tentacruel used the time while Flareon was dodging to launch a Rain Dance causing a cloud to cover the battlefield at around the height of the top of the stadium. Turning back to Flareon Tentacruel found a cloud of green smoke and Flareon missing. Shooting a Hydro Pump into the cloud of smoke resulted in the torrent of water bursting through the cloud of smoke, dispersing it as the vortex of flames flared up again. Bursting from the ground in front of Brett Flareon shot a Sunny Day into the air dispersing the rain cloud before flipping in mid-air and spat a Fire Blast at Tentacruel before disappearing underground once more.

Staggering from the Fire Blast, Tentacruel stretched its tentacles to lift it into the air and fired multiple Surf's straight down at the field before unleashing an Ice Beam that led to a thin layer of ice covering the entire battlefield.

"No more running away now," Sawyer sneered as Tentacruel returned to ground level. "The moment Flareon melts its way out Tentacruel has a perfect shot."

Brett merely arched an eyebrow as he watched the field. Tentacruel was suddenly thrown into the air as Flareon burst from the ground directly beneath it having tunnelled beneath and used Tentacruel's mass of tentacles as cover to melt through the ice.

A/N: There's your little teaser. I'll completely replace this chapter once the full chapter is complete in the next few months. Happy Holidays, stay safe and may all your Pokemon be shiny.
