Taking the new position had been exactly the move she needed. She felt best when she managed herself, and having worked her way up to the position she had in the CIA, this at least felt like it fit. The students she worked with were fantastic, the teaching assistant she was assigned was unbelievable, and the increase in pay was going to help her family in so many ways. All around, it was perfect.

Azazel was taking time to be one hundred percent behind it. He still acted as the house husband, caring for the children and house, but she knew he was growing antsy. He started taking small jobs, one or two night affairs, on the weekends. It was hard on both of them, they saw each other less and less it seemed, but it was what they needed.

He had a large job come up, which Moira had to take off work for. He was gone nearly a week, and when he returned slept for almost two days. It worried her to no end, but he never spoke a word of where he'd been. After his sleep, he was back to normal, and they resumed their usual routine.

Christine's first birthday came and went, a monumental event in Moira's mind. It reminded her of how hard they'd worked to have her, how much they'd been through, and the incredible year they'd had with her. Unlike with Kurt, Moira and Azazel had been there for the birth of their daughter. It had such a different feeling to when they'd celebrated Kurt's birthday.

A few weeks after Christine's birthday, Moira came home to a quiet house. She was so used to the children greeting her, this felt disconcerting. "Hello?"

Azazel peeked his head out of the other room. "Hello."

"Where are the kids?" she asked him, moving over to where he was.

"They're here. Asleep," he took her hand. "I have a surprise for you."

"A surprise?" she took his hand as well. "What is it?"

"Come," he led her into the other room where both children were conked out. Azazel lifted Kurt into his arms and indicated to Christine. "Take her and take my arm."

Moira did as he asked and they were transported to another place. Azazel smiled warmly at Moira as the smoke dissipated and a two level country house came into view. "Where are we?"

"Home," he told her, heading to the door.

Moira looked around the isolated yard, a line of trees in the distance and hills that seemed to roll for miles. "What are you talking about?"

Azazel opened the door and she followed after him, her breath catching in her throat at the interior. A few sparse pieces of furniture, seemingly left over from a previous owner. The house, however, was clean, in beautiful condition, and perfect for a small family. "Alek, is this ours?"

"Da," he hefted Kurt up higher onto his shoulder. "You wanted home for family. This is home. All our own."

"Alek," she rushed to him and pressed her lips against his. "This is incredible. It's ours? All ours?" She turned to look out the window. "Where are we?"

"Still Germany. A bit farther from job, but will get you car," he told her. "Is what you wanted. Make you happy. Place for our family to be," he pulled her closer to him, their children between them. "And grow."

She leaned into him again, their lips meeting. Finally, they had a place. Their family could be happy, in peace, and safe from anything that would want to harm it. As she pulled back to stare at the man she loved, a flash of her life before fell over her. The life she'd planned, with Charles, the life that she'd carefully laid out every detail of, which now had been washed away by the incredible circumstances that lead to her in this exact moment. A life she'd never expected, but wouldn't trade for anything.

FIN

And that, as they say, is that! Thank you all for sticking with me the whole way. This is the first fic of this kind of length which I have seen through to the end. I am quite proud of that. Also, the adventure lasted the duration of my contract - I head back home to NY in a few days! When home, I will have way more access to the internet, and hopefully can really get something done on the sequel I am planning :)

Thanks again to all my readers and reviewers!
