A/N: Yo minna-san~ I'm back with a new chapter! Yay! I'm just going to warn you that I might've made the chapter a little to long, but I hope you enjoy it! Chapter 18: Tears and Promises

Dream~

Looking around, all he saw was black. Just pitch, jet black, surrounding him.

"Natsu? Natsu-nii-san? Natsu-nii, where are you?!" Tsuna called out, starting to feel something he hadn't felt for a long time; fear.

Shivering from the coldness, he started to walk around, hugging himself for warmth.

*SPLASH*

He looked down, to see what he just stepped in, only to see red liquid that made him terrified; blood. He stepped into a puddle of blood. He dropped his arm and took a step back, until he bumped into something or actually someone. He slowly turned around and saw his brother, covered in blood. Both eyes were void, without emotions. Finally it hit him, whose blood it was.

"Why, Tsuna?" Natsu croaked pain in his voice.

Tsuna stood there frozen, trembling, unable to understand the situation.

"Why did you burden me? Why did you have to be so dame?" He said, taking a step forward, while Tsuna took a step back.

"I thought you loved me. I thought you wouldn't bother me…" he started, getting closer to the scared Tsuna. "So, why did you force me to defend you? Or why did you make me DIE?!" He growled.

"HIEE!" Tsuna yelped, and fell into the 2in-3in pool of blood, head first.

The blood went half way up his arms and legs horizontally, covering his hands and feet, drenching his pants and shirt. Before he even have the chance to prop himself up, two hands landed next to his head, and legs next to his chest. He was then forced to look at his brother's bloodied face. He didn't make any move to escape, but was frozen at place. Then licking his bloodied lips, Natsu's eyes grew wide in crazy, grinning manically.

"What's wrong otouto~ Aren't you happy to know that your brother that had defended you, by getting himself killed, is now alive?"

"Onii- AAHHH!" Tsuna screamed in pain, feeling something stick inside his chest

He looked down, and saw Natsu's hand in side his chest, between the first two rib bones. Then pulling of his hand out of Tsuna's ribs, Tsuna began to scream again. Natsu started licking his hand that was covered in Tsuna's blood, while looking at his younger brother. Then, two hands started to strangle Tsuna, cutting his oxygen supply.

"O-Onii-san, please stop…"He wheezed, only to see Natsu smirked.

"You should've died in my place, so I wouldn't have to take care of you," He sneered, gripping his neck tighter. "Goodbye, Dame-Tsuna."

Then lifting up a knife, he stabbed Tsuna, who yelled and screamed.

Dream Ended~

*GASP*

Tsuna and Natsu woke-up in the same time, drenched with sweat. Natsu was trembling, while gripping on the bed sheets, until his knuckles were white. While, Tsuna closed his eyes tightly, hot tears coming out of them, while hugging himself.

"Tsuna…" Natsu hoarsely whispered.

"I dreamt it again. I saw THAT dream again!" Tsuna automatically replied, knowing what his older twin brother was about to ask.

Then Natsu pulled Tsuna into a tight, crushing, yet warm hug. Instantly, the younger brother started to hug back, crying silently into his older twin's chest. He felt Natsu hugging slightly tighter than before, making him shed more tears of pain, sorrow, and shame. In the same time, Natsu closed his eyes, letting his own tears fall down his cheeks. Then after a few minutes, Tsuna started to talk.

"Nee, Natsu-nii?" Tsuna quietly whispered, yet still sniffling.

"Yeah, Tsuna?" Natsu replied.

"How long has it been since this type of situation came up?"

"Only 2 years, Tsuna. Only 2 years. But, don't worry! I'll get back at that bastard for you, Tsuna. I will! Until you can spread your wings again, I'll fight for us, no! I'll for you Tsuna! So please, endure a little more!" Natsu promised quietly, still holding Tsuna.

Tsuna only cried again, holding on to his nii-san. He couldn't help but think of how cruel he is, holding back his dear brother Natsu. He was weak and dame, unable to do anything else. And here his smart and strong brother is trying to help him. It was a mystery to him on why Vongola hasn't killed him yet. Natsu has everything that is required to become a mafia boss, yet Vongola still didn't make a move. Was it because of him? Was he just holding his brother back from moving forward? All of these questions started to push him more into the darkness…

Natsu held onto Tsuna, afraid that his younger twin might leave him. He knew it was selfish of him on wanting Tsuna all to himself. But because of his selfishness, it caused Tsuna to go through pain. He knew that Tsuna was being bullied, and tortured by the teachers and students from the school for being dame, and weak. And that was because of him. It was because of his selfishness. And now Tsuna had to go through the pain that was meant for him. Tsuna locked his true-self up just for his one wish. Tsuna chained his wings, and placed himself in a cage, just for him. And to make things go even worse, Vongola is targeting them. Their good-for nothing father forgotten who Tsuna used to be, and now think that the only good trait of Tsuna was his brain. He was going to get back at Vongola and their so-called "father", while protecting Tsuna. That way he can make it up to his "lucky rope".

Mean While~

Outside the room, Reborn and Gokudera, who was staying for the night, listened to the cries of the twins. Reborn had his fedora, covering his face, while Gokudera fisting his hands. Both knew the tradition of the Vongola, yet weren't able to do anything. And here they were, feeling pity for the twins. Reborn left, leaving Gokudera to just stay in front of the twin's door. Gokudera wanted to go in and say that he'll protect juudaime with Natsu-sama, but prevented himself from continuing to go on. He knew about the Vongola's way on picking the new heir, and its tradition. Back then he thought on how it was common sense since other famiglias do it but now he saw how messed up it is. He knew they didn't deserve it. After all they were just twins that went through a lot of pain, especially Tsuna. He knew that the younger twin was bullied, and torture by everyone, yet he wasn't doing anything! But there was one thing that was bothering him. What did Natsu-sama meant by having juudaime "spread his wings again"? What did he meant by "endure it a little more"? Putting that thought aside, Gokudera finally was able to create a strong resolve. And that was to protect the twins, especially juudaime.

Time Skip~

Finally morning came, with 4 people were running to school. Tsuna, wearing his uniform cleanly, was practically dragging Natsu, who wasn't wearing his uniform correctly. And currently in his mind, he wonders on why Tsuna couldn't run like this during PE and join the cross-country or track team. Then there was the red and blue duo arguing/joking about how close to the twins they were, namely Gokudera and Yamamoto. They quartet finally arrived to school, surprisingly not late, only to feel a tense aura around the school. Everyone was whispering to one another, each having a scared face. Natsu was about to ask someone until…

"For crowding in front of me, I'll bite you to death."

Hibari was giving the 4 a dark glare, holding his tonfa up.

"Oi! What did you just said to juudaime and Natsu-sama!" Gokudera growled, pulling out his dynamites from who-knows where. In the meantime, Natsu was being held back by Tsuna, yelling profane language like "Like fuck, I care", or "Who gives a damn, you bastard". And while seeing all of this, Yamamoto laughed, getting entertained by his friends

"Yo, Hibari," Reborn said, popping out of nowhere. Hibari paused from striking an attack on Gokudera and Natsu, and smirked at Reborn.

"Yo, baby," he replied, lowering his arms.

"I heard that some of your men got attack from some anonymous attackers along with some students from the school and innocent citizens. If you let the 4 off the hook, I promise you that they'll help you on looking for the attackers."

Hearing this, Tsuna stopped scolding the two delinquents, and starred at Reborn for a long time, along with Natsu, Yamamoto, and Gokudera who just heard of this.

"Oi, Reborn! Explain this to us," Tsuna and Natsu yelled, looking very distraught. They didn't heard anything about that all, even from Bianchi, Gokudera's sister, or Lambo. But then again, Lambo is 5, so probably he wouldn't give a crap.

Now before moving on, to make a long story short, Natsu and Tsuna met Bianchi 3 days after Gokudera accepted them, and basically had a déjà vu moment with her, since the way they met her was the same with Dino, except for the fact that they were accused for stealing her "lover" and poison cooking.

Anyway, right before Hibari was about to attack, his cellphone started to ring.

"Midori hanshiku, Namimori-no…."

"Hello?" Hibari answered, while Tsuna, Natsu, Gokudera and Yamamoto were covering their mouths with one hand, trying to prevent him from hearing their snickers.

"Oi! Herbivores!" Hibari growled at the four "herbivores" and baby. "The boxing herbivore is in the hospital."
