Hey, people. Update I am in my second year at uni now, and I haven't uploaded in like a year so you didn't even know I started :') ohh well. I am back, and I am baaaad! I literally have 3 fanfic accounts and I went on hiatus for like ages so don't think I disappeared. I will finish this story at some point don't you worry your pretty little noggins.

Disclaimer: I own nothing from the amazing world of the Lost Boys, however this fanfic is no longer really following those story lines, and the ones that I am following are from my own head and are therefore MINE!... Plus Erika (and other OCs) is mine!

Enjoy this long awaited chapter! xxx

"I know what you know." David said and I knew my eyes went wide. I looked to Michael and saw he was looking at me. However, he was not giving away anything of what he had told the leather-clad guy in front of me. "It's not exactly a secret that we're a gang, babe." He said and I literally wanted to sigh in relief.

"So, are you still mad at me for kicking you?" I asked, to move away from the subject. He stepped closer to me so his chest was pressing against me lightly and I had to crane my neck.

He was smirking down at me, making my stomach flip. What was wrong with me? One minute I was scared and kicking this guy, the next I was getting butterflies and wanting to jump his bones. Snap out of it Erika! He is a vampire! It is never going to work. I tried to rationalise with myself, but the feeling didn't subside. "It depends. How are you going to make it up to me?" Oh, god. I'm going to melt.

"I don't know." I said lamely, shrugging my shoulders and looking down. I didn't know how to answer without either sounding too blunt or too desperate. Luckily David didn't get time to tell me how I was going to have to make it up to him, because I was pulled away by a familiar red head, who, it seemed, I hadn't seen in ages. "Cindy!" I screamed and pulled her into a hug. I saw that Maddie was there too and pulled her in as well. Looking back to David, I could see he looked a little pissed as he glared at my friends, but I smiled gaining his attention back. "We'll finish this later, ok?" I didn't wait for the answer as I skipped off calling my goodbyes to the other guys. I waved at Star and my brother as I went.

We reached the main part of the boardwalk and Cindy rounded on me, "So, you and David, huh?" She asked with a knowing glance.

Whacking her on the arm I laughed. "He wishes." I replied. "What's been going on with you guys? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!" I said, and we reminisced about our time away from each other.

"I heard that one of the missing kids was found the other day." I realised who Maddie meant.

"Oh, yeah." I said. "I found him. It was Allan Frog. You know – Sam's friend?" My friends were both looking wide eyed at me now. "What?"

"You found him?" Cindy asked and I nodded. "Missing kids are like never found. This is the talk of the town right now. Why hasn't it come out that you found him?"

I was confused. "Erm, I don't know? Maybe. Allan didn't say? He was acting weird, I just handed him over to his family – well, his brother."

We let the subject drop and went to get some food. After we ate I decided it would be a good time to tell my mom that Sam and I were on the boardwalk, so that we could get a ride back after she was done working. My friends and I walked into Video Max and I saw my mom immediately. She was stacking movies in the comedy section. I went over to her, giving her a smile which she returned. "Hey, hunny." She said as I approached.

"Hi, mom." I replied. "Me and Sam are here and I thought I'd tell you, so you didn't just drive home without us." I said to which she chuckled.

"Ok. Where is Sam?" She asked looking behind me waving at Maddie and Cindy who returned it with a smile.

"He's at the comic book store. I told him I'd meet him there later." I replied, before bidding goodbye to my mom and leaving. Waving at Max behind the counter as I left.

"Are your mom and her boss still on it, Erika?" Maddie asked as we stepped outside of the store.

"Oh, Max?" I said. "Yeah. He gave her some expensive chocolates the other day. Well, he asked me to give them to her, but still. Why?"

"I just have a weird vibe off him. He creeps me out." I looked at her incredulously and began laughing hysterically. The thought that Max could be anything but a lovely, kind, gentleman was absurd. But Maddie's face said otherwise. She truly believed there was something off about him, something I couldn't see. Something my mom couldn't see. Something no one could see.

"Okay, sure Madds. I'll keep an eye out for the creepy video store guy, with eyes for my mom." I said sarcastically and dragged her and Cindy down the boardwalk to do listen to yet another boring hippie band that was playing on the beach.

Afterwards I said my goodbyes to my friends and made my way back up to find my brother. He was not in the video shop, and neither were the Frog brothers. Oh, crap. I began to panic. We were supposed to meet my mom in twenty minutes and now I have lost my little brother. I scoured the boardwalk looking for either my brother or one of his weird friends, but I found no one. I didn't even see David or any of his gang, which was odd because they are always patrolling the boardwalk.

My heart was practically beating a million times a minute by the time I finally caught a glimpse of my brother. I ran over to him, "Sam! What the hell?! You can't run off and not tell me where you're going!" I screamed, but he just looked at me with a scared expression on his face.

"He turned, Erika." He whispered, and I knew straight away he meant Michael.

"I know."

"You know?!" He screamed and I kicked into action and shoved him into a corner covering his mouth.

"Shut up! I don't quite know about you but I don't feel like dying. Yes I know, and they don't know I – or you – know and we need to keep it that way. Understand?" He nodded silently. "Good. Now, how do you know?"

Suddenly his scared expression reappeared on his face. "We need to get home."

"Why? What happened?"

I watched as he looked down and I followed his gaze. He was looking at the wooden floor of the boardwalk….no under the boardwalk. "They…blood…..girls." Was all he could get out, but I understood.

"We need to get home." I repeated what he had said earlier. I began moving towards where we were due to meet our mom at the car.

"Wait…" He grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "Your friends- they were your friends." He said and my eyes went wide. Cindy and Maddie. They would have walked under the boardwalk to get home because it was quicker.

I felt a lump form in my throat. I thought you were supposed to go through a stage of denial before this? I refused to let the tears manifest. I needed to take care of my family. They were potentially in danger. Was this David showing me he knew what I truly knew and this was a threat? I didn't have time to waste. I was suddenly running towards the car and yanking Sam along with me.

We arrived at the car to see Max there talking to my mom. "Did you like the chocolates?"

"Chocolates?" She questioned. Oh, crap. I had forgotten. Well with everything with Allan and that it's not really surprising.

"Sorry, mom. Here." I said producing them from my bag. As I held them out to my mom she knocked them slightly and they all fell on the tarmac. "Oh, my gosh. I am sooo sorry."

"Don't worry, darling it was my fault." She said, but my sorry was more directed at Max who must have spent a fortune on those chocolate, judging by the fact that he was looking quite pissed. I was sure I saw his eyes flash for a second but convinced myself it was just a trick of the light.

We needed to get home, and I didn't want to be stuck here chatting for ages with Max in the open, so I thought on my feet. "Mom, I really think we should be getting home, Sam isn't feeling good. Don't you see he's looking kinda pale?" I said and looked at my brother urging him to act it up, to which he grabbed his stomach and moaned. "I think he ate some bad boardwalk food or something." I said resisting the urge to roll my eyes at Sam's dramatics.

"Yeah, honey. You are looking pale." She said to Sam. "Let's get you home." Ushering us into the car she bid Max a goodnight before she too got into the car.

When we got home, after the journey that seemed to take forever, I rushed to my room and shut the door. My friends are dead. No maybe Sam mixed them up. Oh, here's the denial. I am possibly being stalked by a gang of vampires that potentially want to kill me because I know about them. My brother is now a vampire. Shit. What the hell is my life coming to?

**Knock knock** I jumped five foot in the air because I was looking at Mike who was hovering outside of my bedroom window. "Can I come in please?"

"Are you going to eat me?" I raised my eyebrow crossing my arms, to which he replied by raising his own eyebrow. "Fine." I opened the window and he came in.

He looked at me with great concern. "What's the matter, sis?"

"How can you even ask that?" My voice rose louder and then I had to remind myself that no one should know Mike is here and lowered it. "I am talking to my vampire brother in my bedroom after he flew into it. I am pretty sure David and his gang have killed my only friends here, and I'm also pretty sure that I am next."

"No."

"No what?" I asked. "No they didn't kill my friends or no I'm not next."

"No you're not next. I don't think. They don't know you know. I promise."

I looked him dead in the eye, "But they did kill my friends?" He looked away and I knew it was true. "Did you help?" He still didn't answer. I smacked him around his face and watched as he looked back to me with eyes glowing yellow, with red rims. It did not faze me as I glared back. If I wasn't so angry I probably would have been scared to death, but I was certain he had helped kill my friends. The last thing they saw was those eyes. Not loving grandchildren, or a nice warm fire. Those eyes. "Why?" I asked my voice dangerously low.

His inhuman eyes went wide. It was clearly not what he expected to hear. However, he was not afraid to answer. "David thought they were a distraction to you. Plus they annoyed him."

"David gave the order and you followed through." I scolded. "Grow some balls Michael, and get out of my room."

His eyes had retreated to their normal cool blue and he looked hurt. "I'm sorry."

"This is who you are now, Mike. So whatever." I replied pretending to be indifferent, when really I wanted to scream and cry for my friends lives. I watched as he left the way he came.

###

It was a solid three days before me or Sam ventured out of the house after dusk. However, each night our mom would go to work and return without a scratch, so I came to the conclusion that it must be somewhat safe.

We arrived at the boardwalk and I immediately saw there were tributes to my fallen friends in the form of flowers, pictures and nice messaged. I felt saddened once again. I thought I had sort of overcome the tears and the grief but clearly not, as a new lump formed in my throat.

My tears did not have time to make themselves known because before I knew it I was being dragged into the comic book store. "Guys?" Sam called out to the store but no one came. He looked at me worried.

"They weren't here when I came looking for you. Did you go under the boardwalk by yourself?"

"No we went to watch the concert and then I lost them in the crowd."

I didn't like how this was looking. "Right well, they're not here so let's go." I said and walked out of the store and right into a leather clad chest.

"Little Erika. Back on the boardwalk once again." I couldn't help the small glare that appeared on my face. This was the man that sent the order to kill my friends. But at the same time I couldn't let on to him that I knew otherwise he'd have me killed too, so I softened it. However, I was certain he saw. "I am surprised you were able to stay away from me for that long."

I pretended to fan myself, "I needed a breather after last time, you know?" He chuckled and I was disgusted at myself to find that the sound still made my insides flutter. "So, David are you stalking me or were you planning on picking up a copy of batman for your collection?" I asked and indicated to the store behind me.

"I actually wanted to say I'm sorry about your friends." The friends that you said were annoying.

I wanted to glare, scowl, something but I knew I couldn't without breaking my cover so I settled for a "thanks".

"I heard it was horrible."

"Yeah I haven't heard and I don't want to, come to think of it." It was true. I hadn't even turned on the tv because I knew they would be all over local news. It was not like the people that take these 'missing kids' to leave behind a body, let alone two.

"Really, I heard someone say it was a vampire." My heart accelerated, but I laughed as if on cue.

I looked at him incredulously. "Well, if a vampire did do it. I'll have my holy water at the ready. Maybe I'll even sharpen a stake." I said. I was certain I was playing a deadly game but what the hell. He hadn't killed me yet, and at least this way if he was threatening me because I knew stuff, then he'll know I'm not going to take it lying down. Or on the other hand he could think I am totally joking like any human would in this situation.

"No garlic though. It just makes your breath smell bad." He smiled devilishly at me and walked away. Was that him telling me garlic doesn't work or that it does but he doesn't want me to know? Or was he joking ingeneral?

And so? How did you like that one? I think this was more of a filler chapter. Plus I had half of it written on my computer from forever ago so I didn't go back and reread my story like I should have. I probably will before I write the next chapter though. I don't know when it will be. Hopefully I will write more because I am bored with Netflix haha.

R&R if you're still with me :D xxx
