AN: HEY EVERYONE! It's about that time again. I'm going to go crazy trying to make it up to the lot of you. I'm leaving the Hiatus Return Promise Chapter up until the end of May 2016. This way everyone that wants to can see it. I will then remove them or replace them as necessary.

P.S. I am creating a website that I will post all of my stories and even a Know Your Author page, along with perhaps some of my original works. Keep an eye out for more information.

Anyway…. enough of that…

ENJOY! ON WITH THE STORY!

LAST TIME:

Using the mental link he had with his only remaining friends, Harry asked them what year they wanted.

'I'd like to go to Ancient Egypt or Mesopotamia.' Luna said.

'Luna dear, only Harry here is Immortal right now.' Draco drawled.

'I can change you into an immortal creature Draco, Luna.' Harry butted in.

'I'm not doing anything ugly.' Draco spoke.

'Then do a vampire. They're known for their beauty.' Luna suggested.

'And our Magic?' Draco wondered.

'I'll make it stay Draco.' Harry interrupted again.

Draco mentally huffed. 'Fine. I'd like Mesopotamia. They're reported to have been brilliant.'

'Somewhere in the forest, Harry. I'm not in the mood for humanity yet.' Luna decided.

'Deal.' Harry spoke. The blackness ended, blinding white replaced it and the trio were deposited in a dense forest. After standing and dusting themselves off, the trio built a small shelter. Once it was all set up, Harry called on his powers, grateful for the previous research they had done, and changed his friends. He stayed by them the entire three days as they changed.

Chapter 2:

Mesopotamian Years:

The trio made a home in the nearby area surrounding the Mesopotamian settlement, content to simply watch as they developed. They talked with the occasional local who wandered too far but generally they were merely observers.

Creating several trunks, they decided to preserve small pieces of their travels, as well as food and blood for the journey they would partake eventually. They harvested building materials, as well as seeds and saplings so that someday they may create their own little home away that they would ward to kingdom come and at some point merely watch the passage of time. It was all they had after all. Draco nor Luna would abandon Harry at any point and since he had forever and beyond, so did they.

They stayed there for about 100 years, content to watch and learn. Pottery, Rulers, Battles, minor technology that was taken for granted, all this was created and destroyed in equal measure. When things began to repeat the pattern, they simply left. This time they chose China, so headed east, stopping in range of the Emperor's domain.

Chinese Years:

Here they decided to set up a small farm and grow enough food to satisfy Harry, as well as livestock to satisfy Luna and Draco. It was easier to feed on animals as Harry could then eat the meat remaining. What was left, they decided to dedicate a trunk to. In China they gathered weapons, money, clothes, more building materials, different types of fish, all frozen in time so as to be brought to their new home, wherever that would end up being.

As the winter turned to spring that following year after settling, they were visited by some of the Emperor's tax collectors. Harry greeted them at the gates.

"Hello. How might I help you today?" Harry asked. One of the collectors surveyed the area with a greedy glint to his eye, causing Harry to keep a close eye on him, lest he steal. One of the other collectors spoke up.

"Young man, we come to speak to the owners of this place so as to let them know of the taxes our Emperor has placed on this land."

"You are speaking to he. I live here with my two siblings. So please, do share. I am awfully busy this time of year." Harry replied patiently.

"I understand," the collector replied. "The tax is as follows. 10% of your monthly earnings are to go to the Emperor. Generally, we do not accept anything less than 4 bags of grain and a healthy animal pair a year. However, since you are just starting here, we will for the first tax only collect the grain."

"I will most certainly bring the animals when they become available." Harry replied.

The greedy collector spoke up. "Now you must let us inside so as to take record of your current wares."

Harry cast a sharp glance at the collector. "I think you will find that I have the ability to deny you entry. You are not welcome here. Your companions may enter, but not you."

"I am here on official business and I will not be denied entry!" the collector replied angrily.

"It is not official when it becomes trespass. Please leave. I will allow one of you through however." Harry replied.

"That will not be necessary, young man. I do not know why he was insistent upon entering, but it is not our standard protocol. We will be leaving now." The original collector spoke.

"Before you depart, let me treat you to a spot of tea. I grow the leaves myself." Harry offered.

"Sadly, I must decline. Many places to visit you see."

"Another time then. Good day, sirs." Harry replied, before turning heel and going back to planting and planning. He resolved to strengthen the security of the place around him. Draco and Luna had travelled further north to have a spot of freedom by themselves. Harry resolved to stay here and wait for their return. So while officially, he lived here with his siblings, at the current time he was alone.

The next morning when Harry woke, it was to a ransacked field and barn. Things were overturned and the animals let loose. A sinking feeling filled Harry as he discovered that the trunks he and the others had so carefully filled were gone. He wasn't worried about people opening them as they were closed with magic, but he was worried about ever finding them again. Sighing, Harry set about rebuilding the shattered doors, gathering the animals and setting most of the field back to rights. It was as the last of the field was being reset and he was clearing away the debris to burn that the nicer of the tax collectors called from the gates.

"What happened here?" he questioned once Harry let him inside.

"He who is denied entry may force their way inside in anger." Harry replied instead. Disbelief colored the collectors face. Harry merely returned to gathering the debris.

"I always thought he was a danger." The collector replied. "Anything missing?"

"Yes, four trunks that held my most precious belongings." Harry replied. "Opening them is impossible, but if they are hidden or sold I will never find them."

"I think I may be able to help you with that."

Harry turned, staring intently at the man. "I am not one who asks for favors blindly."

"It is not a favor but a correction of justice. Come, we must go to the palace." The collector spoke.

"My animals will not survive if I leave. My siblings have yet to arrive."

"I will leave my son here. He knows his way around." The collector replied. He left and returned shortly thereafter with a younger man about Harry's age. Showing the man the place, Harry mounted his horse and followed after the collector. It would take two days to reach the palace. If whatever the collector had planned did not work, then he would inspire his own brand of justice.

AN: AND IT IS DONE. I'm going to spend about two chapters on each time and elaborate on what they gather. For now, I'm not quite sure where this story is going just yet. Hang in there.
