Giving her detention would do nothing but put her in a safe place. Naraku only could conclude that the older male was courting the young woman, but if they were courting, they never showed signs of it.

Yamada however…

He watched as he teased the younger woman in ways that could only be described as 'too personal.' Higurashi swatted at him and he fell to the ground in heaving guffaws. Kagome blushed and kicked the male in his side causing him to glare at her and serve her detention.

So perhaps wretch was dating the younger brother, and older brother was a little approving.

She took the detention and blew a raspberry at him before flouncing down the hall almost cutely.

Nope.

Naraku growled, he wasn't interested in a woman whose standards were so loose that she would dally with a half-breed.

If he had been paying attention, Naraku would have saw her disappear from the hall with breakneck speed and into a broom closet. The door shut with a note of finality and a click signaled the lock.

Deciding that what was going on between Yamada and Higurashi needed more investigation, Naraku quit his little study.
