"Alright is there anyone else who wants to put in a last minute bet? Our look outs tell me that they are on their way here now," Mirajane yelled out. She nearly hit Lisanna in the head with the clipboard she was holding as she looked about the guild for any more takers.

"We are totally going to win this bet. There's no way Natsu isn't going to be coming back with his tail between his legs," Gray laughed as he patted Gajeel on the shoulder.

"He's gonna feel like even more of an idiot than he already is. I don't even understand how this whole bet started. But all I know is I'm gonna win me money, gihehe," Gajeel said as he rubbed his hands together.

"Its all because of Erza overhearing us. There's no way she is going to win. He would never apologize, not to mention be forgiven so quickly. He's too much of a blockhead for that," Gray said before he caught the glare of a red-headed demon from the end of his table.

Gray coughed awkwardly before a high pitched voice called out their want to get in on the bet. He looked over to see Happy flying over to Mirajane with a few joules in his paws. Little did they know that Happy had almost told everyone what had happened before he heard about the bet going on. Happy let out an evil giggle before he reached her.

"And what would you like to bet on? So far we have Natsu comes back guilty and depressed, Natsu is beaten to a pulp and Natsu apologizes and is forgiven," Mirajane smiled as she readied her pencil to mark off his choice.

"I bet that Natsu and Lucy got together because he was so happy when he found out about the scarf," Happy said smugly. The guild became eerily silent before they all burst into a fit of laughter.

"That would never happen! You just lost all your money blue furball. Natsu is too dense to even know the difference between a boy and a girl, not to mention ask one out!" Gray said in between huge laughs.

"Well, don't come crying to me when you all lose your money to this blue furball," Happy replied haughtily.
Suddenly, the doors opened and in walked the couple in question. The first thing everyone noticed was the lack of a beaten up Natsu. A few groans could be heard throughout as people realized they had lost the bet. Natsu suddenly grabbed Lucy's hand before bringing her over to the bar and sitting down with her.

"Mirajane guess what? Lucy's my girlfriend now!" Natsu said smiling as Lucy turned bright red and looked down.

The entire guild let out a simultaneous scream of confusion. Mirajane smiled big before fainting behind the bar. Gray spit out his drink and got it all over Gajeel who in turn punched him in the face. This sent Gray flying into Elfman who yelled it wasn't man to attack someone without warning before he punched Gray, and sent him flying into Erza. Slowly, Erza stood up and turned to face Gray before she picked him up by the neck, a death glare that could scare the devil itself adorning her face.

"Gray Fullbuster...What have I told you about fighting in the guild?!" she screamed before she punched him in the face and sent him flying out the front door. She nodded to herself before slowly sitting back down.

"Geez, why are you guys all freaking out?" Natsu said as he lifted his hand up to scratch the back of his head.
"I won 15460 joules! I can buy all the fish I want now!" Happy screamed as he flew about the guild.

"I don't know what happened and I don't think I want to know," Lucy said as she sighed.

"Well, its just another normal day in Fairy Tail, except now its a perfect day because I've got you by my side," Natsu said as he pulled Lucy against him and watched the guild fall into chaos over some apparent bet. Natsu made a mental note to ask Happy about it later.

"To think, this whole day turned out this way over one scarf," Lucy murmured with a smile on her face.

Natsu kissed the top of her head and sighed happily, "I wouldn't want it to happen any other way."
