There's a poll on my account asking what story you guys want me to update and this one was voted. But some others got voted too, so those will also be updated soon. So if you want to go and vote that would be awesome.
This is set after the 2k14 version of TMNT "Fungous amoungous." Or how ever you spell it.
please forgive spelling/grammar mistakes! I'm to lazy to look over it right now! I looked over the other one and seriously face palmed at how many grammar mistakes I had! So, if I have them in this one, I will probably be face palming later!
I DON'T OWN TMNT!
Enjoy! :D
"No…" The simple word could have meant so much at the moment. His brothers…. All of them gone. The battle lost. The enemy had won and had taken the life of his precious brothers as a trophy. What would Splinter think? What would Splinter do?! How would he even be able to go home… approach his father…
When he had failed?
He clutched his head and began to sob; falling to his knees and staring at the young faces of his deceased brothers in front of him. How could he have led them to this? How could have this even happened. Everything was planned out so perfectly!
How could have failed them so terribly?
Their voices echoed and bounced around in his head. Begging him for help. Yelling at him for not being good enough. Crying for him to make the pain stop. They were so young, so scared, and he couldn't do anything but watch as their life slowly drained from their bright eyes; making them dull. He couldn't take it. A scream tore through the silent darkness. Tears poured from his eyes as his hands fisted on his head. He just wanted to protect them. Love them. Make them happy. Keep them safe. But he couldn't, didn't. He had to watch as each of their screams was agonizingly ripped out of them. They didn't stand a chance against the terrible force they had braved to face.
A dark laugh filled his ears. The teary eyed turtle looked upward at the evil figure; gripping all of his brothers' mask tightly in his hand. He shook with rage, fear, and sorrow.
The floor collapsed beneath him and the turtle fell. His scream mute as the darkness began to drown him. His heart aching in grief in fear.
Red eyes watched him as he fell down the bottomless pit and hisses sounded from every inch of the darkness. He felt as slimly slithery creatures began to wrap themselves around him. He continued to fall as the monsters choked him. But the young turtle's thoughts were only directed at one thing.
'I failed.'
The scream ripped out of his throat as the small legs prodded his body; inching the way up into his shell and borrowing themselves into his green skin. He clawed viciously at the small insects but only attracted more with the scent of the blood his nails were drawing. His scream became muffled as the turtle clamped his mouth shut when the slimy cockroaches started to file in his mouth. They ate at him; burrowing into his skin. Slowly… agonizingly painfully…
Their small size mocked him. He was so defenseless against them, so venerable. He should have been able to smash them all. But couldn't. They were everywhere. Invincible little beings that didn't want to die. So they didn't. He couldn't keep track of the numbers as they ran up his legs and arms. Into his shell. Into his mouth and ears. Into his skin and mind.
They fit everywhere. They could be everywhere without you knowing. They had mastered stealth at birth and used it to their advantage. They could care less what happened to the beings around them. As long as they survived. They could destroy an entire population. But none of that would matter. Not to the small creatures anyways.
He struggled to stand when the nasty bugs became too much and pinned him to the ground. He watched as his brothers slowly were eaten; torn slowly apart, piece by piece, bit by bit. The suffered. Their screams chorused through his head as they suffered everything. Their blood spread and the bugs crawled into the gaping holes in his brothers. The squirmed into their mouths and slowly ate away at their eyes until they were just empty sockets.
His brothers suffered. They were dead.
Another scream ripped through his throat as tears leaked out of his eyes and quickly down his cheeks. The roaches quickly took the opportunity to swarm into his open mouth and give him the same fate they had given his brothers.
The turtle clawed desperately at the bugs, but to no avail as the continued to multiply and eat.
He wasn't scared.
He was terrified.
She was falling. He was so far. She was falling and he wouldn't make it. Her life, her precious life was slipping through his fingers with every passing second.
With a burst of speed the turtle bolted; he jumped off of a roof and grabbed the falling girl. He cradled her in his arms and twisted his body so that he took the full impacted of the fall.
The landed heavily. He was winded but smiled anyways when he saw she was safe. She blinked at him. Her eyes suddenly filled with hatred.
She shoved herself off of him, giving him an awful glare, she ran. She ran until she was in the safety of another's arms.
His arms.
She hated him.
He felt anger fill his heart for the other boy, but sorrow quickly overlap it. He slowly got to his feet. His legs trembling underneath him and then walked painfully slow back home.
Where things burned.
The turtle's eyes widened. His body froze in complete and utter horror. His brothers…. His father….
He ran to them; their bodies cold and bloody. Tears fell freely as he checked all of their pulses. He was alone.
A figure moved in the shadows and the turtle quickly unsheathed his weapon. His eyes burning with fury for whoever did this.
"How does it feel?" It asked. "Do you still want her to love you? Do you still care?"
Tears that he didn't even noticed ran in a pattern down his pale green face. "Who-?"
The figure stepped out of the shadows; quickly cutting off the turtle's sentence. "I am you."
The other's teary eyes widened. "H-how?"
The larger turtle shook his head and ignored the question. "You could have saved them, but you went for her instead. How does it fill to be alone? Do you still care if she thinks you're a freak? Do you still want her to love you? Cause the love you had for her," He gestured the deceased individuals. "Has cost you your family."
He choked back a sob that still forced its way out of his throat. He fell to his knees and quickly buried his face in his hands.
He didn't want to be alone.
He didn't care about the girl anymore.
He just wanted his family.
He didn't want to be alone.
He had missed. His brother's hand was so close, but it had missed his. The water sucked him away with the clawed hand that still held tightly onto his foot; determined not to let go.
He could hear his brothers' muffles shouts grow distant. Bubbles floated quickly out of his mouth. Precious oxygen was being taken away from him quickly but his vision never faltered in the dark tunnels that he was being washed down. He never got woozy from the lack of oxygen.
He did get nauseated though. Not from not having enough air in his lungs, no, but from the prodding feeling in his stomach. The stabbing pain grew worse and worse by the second.
Suddenly the turtle was flung onto land. He hacked and coughed but his strangled gasped were suddenly cut off when he began to puke. Thousands of squirrels littered the ground around him and scampered away. Their tongues flying out and wrapping around round objects. The small turtle rasped dryly as he tried once again to catch his breath.
He slowly, shakily, looked around before standing up on wobbly feet. Screams banged around on the sewer walls. Yet he was alone.
He put his hand on his beak to make sure the screams weren't his and his eyes widened when they weren't.
His brothers…
His brothers!
He began to ran but suddenly fell. His breath gone faster than it had in the water. He gasped desperately for breath as he began to crawl to the screams; determined to reach them. To save them.
The screams stopped.
Cut off suddenly. His eyes widened and he strained his ears; desperately listening for his brothers. Tears fell quickly from his eyes. Another scream; this time his own. He screamed and screamed; tears rushing down his cheeks. He curled up on the floor and sobbed, only wanting to be comforted by one of his siblings.
Padded footsteps could be heard and the turtle tried to stop his crying when the giant mutant squirrel rushed up to him. It wrapped its boney clawed hands around his torso.
He clawed desperately at the ground. His screams growing louder as he was dragged away into the dark.
His screams were suddenly cut off.
Leo's eyes opened wide and a gasp quickly let lose out of his throat. He sat up quickly and looked around his dark room. He swung his legs over the side of his bed and swiftly ran out of his room and into the hall. His brothers. They had to be safe. That was just a dream. They had to be ok.
Leonardo was about to run to the nearest turtles room when another door creaked open. He quickly spun around and watched as the youngest, Michelangelo, shakily walked out of his room. Rubbing his eyes from the tears and tiredness. He sniffed again before looking up and seeing Leo.
Mikey burst into tears and ran to his oldest brother. He quickly wrapped his arms tightly around Leo and fell heavily onto the blue-banded turtle. Leo quickly took on Mikey's weight and fell down to his knees. He cradled Mikey in his arms and began to rock him slowly. "Shhhh, its ok… every things fine." He whispered; placing his chin on the younger's head. He closed his eyes and felt as Mikey's breathing began to slow down.
Mikey was safe… everything was ok.
Leo sighed and hugged his brother tighter. He opened his eyes and turned his head to look at the others' bedroom doors. What about the others?! We're they ok too?
Michelangelo felt Leo's sudden tenseness. "L-Leo?" He whimpered. "Are y-you… are you ok?" He asked.
Leo's eyes lingered at the other doors for a moment before looking back at his baby brother. "Yeah." He whispered softly. "I… we just need to check on the others. Ok?"
Mikey nodded eagerly as he scrambled to his feet. He held fast onto Leonardo's arm as they quickly approached the next door.
A muffled scream came from the other side. Leo wasted no time as he quickly yanked open the door and ran to his brother's aid.
Raphael's arms were raw with scratches that he had afflicted upon himself. He whimpered in his sleep and tossed restlessly in his bed. "Get off-… no!... no!" He mumbled. A small scream/whine escape his throat as he began clawing at himself again.
Leonardo quickly grabbed Raph's hands. "Raph… Raphael… please, wake up! Ototo, wake up!"
Raphael shot up. His eyes bloodshot and his body shivered as his eyes searched the room before landing on Leonardo. "L-Leo?" He gasped.
Leo quickly gathered Raph into his arms. "It's ok… you're safe." Everything's ok… his safe.
Donnie quickly opened his eyes and swiftly glanced at his alarm clock.
The numbers illuminated on the screen, indicating it was the middle of the night. It was all a dream, Donnie realized.
April still liked him. She didn't think he was a disgusting monster. Donnie suddenly froze.
He was alone…. His brothers!
Donnie jumped out of bed and ran to the nearest room. Mikey's.
He forced the door open, not caring if he was quiet or not. The bed looked empty. Donatello ran up to the bed and quickly ripped the blankets off of the bed. Nothing. He felt tears sting at the back of his eyes. 'No…No… No, No, No, NO!' Donnie breathed heavily. There had to be a logical explanation to this! There always was! WHERE WAS HIS LITTLE BROTHER?! Donnie raced out of the room and ran to Leonardo's.
The bed also empty. This time the tears fell. He couldn't stop them. His dream… his nightmare… His breaths came in quick pants. One more room. They had to be there! They had to be! All three of them would be there and everything would be ok!
Donatello blindly ran out of the room only to ram into something. Strong arms wrapped around him. Donnie buried his face in the unknown figure and wept.
"Donnie… shhh, its ok… I'm here." Donatello looked up with blurry eyes. More tears streamed down his face.
"Leo! Oh Leo!" He sobbed as he buried his head back into his brother's shoulder. He looked up slightly only to see Raphael and Michelangelo standing closely behind them. Both of their eyes wide and afraid.
He shook and pulled himself out of Leonardo's firm hug. He wiped his forearm across his nose and face. "Everyone… E-everyones ok?"
Leo nodded and looked back at Raph and Mikey. Yeah… everyone was fine. Safe. "We're all going back to bed." Leo said gently. He noticed Donatello's sudden distressed face. "Come on." He coaxed.
Don shook his head. "I-I can't! I can't Leo, I won't-"
Leo brought Donnie into another hug. "Shhh, hey, it's ok. We're all sleeping in my room tonight." Donnie looked up at him with wide eyes before nodding.
"O-Ok."
Leo guided his shivering brothers back to his clean room and climbed into bed. Each of them following. Mikey, closest to the wall, held tightly to Leo's left arm. Raphael was on the other side. He was slightly lower than everyone else and wrapped his arms around Leo's torso, his eyes still wide and red with fear. His gaze continued to search the room and every now and the he would scratch at his arms; feeling as if something was on him. Donatello lay next to Raph, but higher so he was at the same head length as Leonardo. Donnie rested his head on Leo's shoulder.
"Get some rest guys." Leo whispered, "You're safe. You're all safe, and that's all that matters."
I seriously hate Donnie's fear in the show. So, based off of some fanart and my own imagination, I changed it up a bit. Hope you don't mind!
Anyways, do you guys have any two turtles you guys want me to do a drabble on? I have a bunch of ideas, but I want you're guys imput also.
I'm planning on doing another type of this story, but with the 2k3 version and their fears. What do you guys think?
