HI! I was on Percy Jackson head cannons and saw this head cannon that I couldn't resist writing a story about it, number 1364, and to whoever made it all credit goes to you and if you want me to take the story down, I will do so.
One day in August, Sally and her seven year old child, Percy was grocery shopping.
The bright, green eyed boy bounced around happily, happy to spend some time with his mommy and getting away from his idiot of a step father, helped his mom, getting everything she needed, and insisting he push the cart.
Everything was going fine until, when Sally was in the dairy aisle getting a gallon of milk, she looked down and saw Percy frozen in place.
It was as if time had stopped, Percy was standing so rigid.
She saw Percy's face suddenly turning into a look of horror and despair that no little kid should have and tears welled up in the corners of his wide eyes.
Then Percy started crying.
No scratch that, bawling, he was sobbing as if his heart would break.
Sally could make out from the middle of the cries Percy kept saying over and over again "Thalia!Sister!Thalia!"
Startled shoppers nearby looked warily at Percy and shuffled away as more sobs broke the silence of the air.
Sally leaned down and gathered Percy into her arms and held him tight, hoping to comfort the poor child.
It didn't work.
Percy stood there for an hour, crying with shudders running through his little body.
The fish tank at the very back exploded, earning shrieks of surprise and disbelief, as the unfortunate shoppers near the tanks were showered by water and multicolored fish.
This only served to make Percy cry harder.
The sobs sent shivers down anyone's backs who had heard the cries; there was something about them that would make even the bravest person run for mommy.
Then as soon as the crying had started, it stopped.
Percy suddenly shifted in his mother's arms and he looked at his mother confused.
Sally was astonished to see no redness around the rims of his eyes or flushed cheeks or anything to indicate he had just spent 60 minutes crying his heart out.
"Mommy? Is something wrong?" the son of the sea god (shhh… it's a secret) asked, his face bewildered.
The mother and son had soon left the store after that, trying to avoid the stares (and glares) that seemed to burn holes through their backs.
The next day, Percy woke up with no memory of the unusual grocery story incident and it had puzzled Sally for the rest of her life.
Well, at least until the day Annabeth had told Sally the date Thalia was turned into a pine tree at the top of Camp Half-Blood Hill.
Okay, if no one had gotten it, mini Percy had cried at the time Thalia was turned into a pine tree. I love viewing their relationship as, brotherly-sisterly so, this was fun to write.
