Author Notes: Oh, man, I'm so excited! My first post as an all-grown-up english fanwriter. And, of course, my precious babies John and Sherlock are the heroes in it. I'll shut up now. Have a good reading!
Warning: SLASH. M/M relationship. So, if you don't like it, just walk away.

Light and Darkness
by Maye Malfter
.
John is the light. The sun. The infinite and bright ray of luminosity that makes its way through the darkest of the spaces, covering all with its warmth halo, bringing hope when all around seems dim and faint. The steady, the trustworthy, the loyal. The anchor.
Sherlock is the darkness. The moon. The shadows that drive off the lights as soon as they arrive, taking away the warmness and leaving chills instead. The black hole that swallows everything around it. The risk, the madmen, the danger. The faux pas.
And yet, light and darkness work together as one. The darkness needs the light to illuminate its way through de dangerous passages, the light needs the darkness to make its existence interesting and out of the ordinary. They need each other like a child needs his mother, like a lover needs the one he holds most dear, like a prayer needs the faith.
They work as one because, in the end, they are one. Two sides of the same coin, two pieces of the same puzzle, two beats of the same heart. They, light and darkness, are made for each other, because the light guides the darkness and the darkness protects the light.

Final Notes: Thanks for reading.
