RWBY: Studies I [Rewritten]

Notes: This has been rewritten…

Professor Port's Room: Ruby Rose

It has been almost half a year since team RWBY was formed and they were really getting bored. At the moment, they were listening to Professor Port giving his lectures, which were actually more about his past mistakes. Anyways; even Ruby was finding it hard to keep on listening, yep… Ruby Rose, who loved hearing about the adventures of Hunters and Huntresses, was now bored out of her mind and was struggling to stay awake.

She was almost about to doze off day dreaming when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She knew who it was, judging by the icy feel of the fingers; yep, who else other than Weiss Schnee… Just how did she manage to keep on listening? She even managed to write down notes… Ruby just sighed and continued listening to the boring professor who was still talking about his past… she really wished he would make someone fight a Grimm or something. Anything other than listening to his stupid past! Finally half an hour later he shuts up… Now Ruby hopes whatever he has planned next would be more exciting than listening to him talk.

The professor was just spending a minute to read some notes that he had written down previously while planning his lesson, Ruby just hoped it was something that was exciting, like how to skin a Beowolf or at least talk about strategies on killing them… Oh how wrong she was, she almost frowned upon seeing the suitcase open and in it were papers… reams upon reams of them… great… she just remembered in one of his lines from his ramblings about his past, he did mention that there would be a test.

WHAT? A TEST!? Oh you have got to be kidding me… all I heard were the mistakes he'd made in the past and I swear if I fail this test it is his fault! Maybe if he didn't talk so much about his past, maybe I would actually have learned something… Gah! What am I going to do…? Hmm… What about Weiss? Maybe she won't notice if I copy off her maybe? Oh! What about Blake? Huh…? Wait… did I just see her bow twitch? Must be seeing things or something… or maybe she's who we thought she is…

Ruby shook her head to clear up her thoughts, what was she going to do? How could she have forgotten that they had a test today and why didn't anyone tell her? How was everyone ready except for her? Were they all in on some prank to keep her from knowing? Then she thought about it… about last night.

Yesterday in Team RWBY's Dorm Room: Ruby Rose

Ruby had Nora and Jaune over; they wanted to show her this new video game that had come out recently but Ruby was doing her studies for her test tomorrow for Professor Port's class and god was she bored to tears. Sighing in exasperation, she joined the two who were playing a game called "Dust Thief Auto V" and upon looking at Nora while she chased after a poor bystander with what seemed to be a Pink Scythe that shot dust beams out of its end, well… it was pretty similar to Ruby's scythe. One glance at it and her breath was taken away by the design of the pink scythe. It was SO COOL!

"Nora, why are you killing everyone?" Jaune asks while driving at breakneck speed on a Dustcycle, which was ridiculous even for Yang who didn't even go that fast on her real Dustcycle… But the game looked fun never the less.

"WHAT? NO! KILL EM ALL!" Nora just got even more absorbed in the game, this time shooting the civilians with her scythe and mowing them down, eventually getting the police after her. She tried fighting her way out, but got wasted after getting surrounded by a hail of bullets. "Awh… Nora #2 died!"

"Hey Ruby, do you want to have a try?" Jaune offered while Nora just watched him drive straight into a concrete wall at top speed, ragdolling in a hilarious arc just as he turned his attention back to the screen.

"OH DID HE BREAK HIS LEGS!?" Nora watched in disappointment as Jaune's character just got up and brushed himself off as if nothing happened. "Awh…"

"Oh sure! Um… how do you play?" Ruby asked, as she fiddled with the controls a bit and somehow she managed to point her scythe and shoot someone. "Oops!" She exclaimed as the person flew through the air limply and landed some distance away with an inaudible thump, it looked so painful…

After a few failed attempts of trying to learn the game, Ruby finally found herself doing pretty well and even managed to beat Jaune in a race. The three spent almost the whole afternoon in the room until Weiss, Yang and Blake finally got to the dorms and began studying. Yang just watched her little sister go on a massacre in the game, running around with Minigunlets (Minigun gauntlets) terrorising innocents and shredding them to pieces with her new overpowered weapons.

"Well Ruby, I'm uh, gonna go, gotta study for that test tomorrow! See ya tomorrow!" Jaune waved goodbye as he and Nora headed back to their rooms. "Hey little sis, don't ya think you should be studying for the test tomorrow?" Yang asked while she admired the Minigunlets… She must have them! "Oh mwah gawd I want those!"

"Oh I'll do it later!" Dismissing Yang's concern, Ruby continued playing her game while the three others studied away till midnight, all of them were asleep, that is, until Weiss got up, annoyed.

"RUBY! Can't you see we're all trying to sleep here! At least go to sleep or at least turn the volume down, its 12AM and I still haven't gotten any rest!" Weiss hissed, rubbing her eyes, her hair draped messily over her face. "And we have a test tomorrow that I intend to ace!"

"Oh calm down princess… well… I am tired, guess I should get some rest." Rubbing her eyes, Ruby turned off her "Schnee Gamer" before tucking herself into bed and dozing off, snoring. Rolling her eyes in exasperation, Weiss muttered through gritted teeth, "Great, first I have to deal with explosions, not that it's the first time it's happened, and now I have to deal with her snoring. I'm never going to ace this test." Little did she know just how right she was.

Back in Professor Port room: Ruby Rose

Ruby plants her forehead on the papers in front of her and groans in frustration at realising she had wasted the night away, gaming, "Oh... I'm so screwed…" earning her a glare from Weiss, signalling for her to be quiet while she focused on her test. Meanwhile Ruby, on the other hand, just stares hopelessly at the test papers on her desk which had been sitting there for almost 10 minutes; the sad thing is; she hadn't even written her name on it!

Great… I'm so screwed! Hm… what I wonder if Weiss minds if I…

Ruby glances over her teammates' work, neat as always and the answers were clear as day and Ruby had nearly copied down all of it, at least until Weiss noticed her sneaking furtive glances at her answers.

Weiss glares at Ruby with an annoyed look and with a swift motion turned over all the papers that Ruby copied, hiding her work from her as she worked on it silently.

Groaning in frustration, ruby looks around for any solutions... Yep, I'm totally screwed… I just wish a fire happened or something! And as soon as she thought of that idea, something exploded and now the school fire alarms were ringing and evacuation took priority.

The broadcast though out the school played a familiar voice, Ms Goodwitch. "Attention all students, please make your way to the front court yard of the school, a fire has broken out at Professor Peach's lab, I advise all students stay away from that area."

Ruby's mood lightened up immediately and she felt like she just had been saved, what a stroke of luck… ERH MEH GAWD! I'M SAVED! She thought while grinning to herself, when she felt someone's cold hand tapping away on her shoulder. Weiss looked at her team mate, still annoyed that she copied her work but even more so that she had barely got any sleep.

Ruby looked at her with the cheerful expression on her face that she gave everyone, though she noticed Weiss's blood shot eyes, did Yang snore that loud? Ruby thought she might ask how her friend was doing, well... at least she thinks of Weiss as a friend… not too sure if Weiss even considered her as a friend. "Oh hey Weiss!"

Weiss glares at her as she walks down the hall "Don't 'Oh Hey' me! You have no idea how tired I am!" she snapped, it was clear that she was more irritated than usual…

Ruby felt bad that she had woken her up the night before… but things happen. "Weiss I'm sorry about last night… I didn't mean to wake you up…"

Weiss sighs and just keeps walking on, it was clear that she didn't want to talk. Plus, Weiss was getting sick of all the apologies that she had been getting from Ruby, but she respected her as a leader and perhaps a friend... But she hated showing her emotions after the death of her mother, despite having gotten over it a long time ago. She knew that everyone classed her as "Bitchy" or "Heartless" and she knew that she could be rough to work with but she was not heartless, in fact she cared about Ruby and only wants to see her do better.

After they got there, it took another 3 boring hours to get the green light to return to their dorms.

Team RWBY Dorms: Ruby Rose

After the incident with the fire, all the teams throughout the school were sent back to their dorms and dismissed for the day. Ruby felt lucky, she would've had failed the test if hadn't been interrupted and was glad that she had been given a second chance to study. But in the corner of her eye, she noticed Weiss was looking at her as she studied. Yet, as soon as she made eye contact with her roommate, Weiss immediately snapped her head back towards that red book that she always wrote in at night, cheeks reddening rapidly.

Curious, Ruby decided that she wanted a few answers. "Hey Weiss, um… why were you staring at me?" she queried. Weiss had been staring at her for a few months now, and ruby, ever the opportunist, thought that it was the perfect time to confront her, while they were alone as Blake and Yang wouldn't be back till midnight.

Weiss immediately stiffened up and closed her book. Ruby didn't recognize it but she guessed that it was some sort of diary. "Ruby… um… do you need help at all?" Weiss tried to change the subject, but Ruby had other plans…

Ruby automatically knew that Weiss was being evasive and that just piqued her curiosity further. Looking down at the book with the red cover… Hm… Could it be her diary? Heh, Well this could be fun! "Nope, why?" Replying to distract the other girl, Ruby positioned herself to snatch the book.

"Oh nothing… just thought you would like some help, tha- hey!" Weiss was about to put her book away but Ruby flitted across the room and the nimbly plucked book right out of Weiss' hands. Wasting no time, Ruby opened the book, just as Weiss' realised that her journal, and all it's secrets lay in her roommate's hands. "RUBY! GIVE IT BACK THIS INSTANT! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Weiss yelled, flailing her arms wildly in an attempt to grab it but Ruby was too quick for her, sidestepping and keeping the book out of it's owner's reach.

Ruby skimmed though the book to find heart shaped drawings and some lyrics to songs that Weiss had written. "Oh… So the snow angel does have a heart!" spurred on by this, she flipped on, till she hit the last journal update, and was surprised that Weiss would even keep anything like this out in the open. "'Update: March 17th' Ooh, this could be interesting…" Ruby teased as she began reading it out loud.

Weiss's eyes widened as she knew that diary entry Ruby was reading and warned her not to continue... "Ruby! Please stop! Stop reading I beg you!" Weiss tried her best to sound serious and authoritative, but the younger girl just ignored her, reading on gleefully.

Grinning, ruby read aloud. "Dear Diary, Today was a stressful day. My team mate, Ruby, copied more than half of my answers after falling asleep in class, a complete dolt if you ask me. Still, I do respect her and well… since I'm going to live with her for the next four years I might as well stop being a jerk. The other students may think less of her because of her age, but I personally believe Ozpin made the right choice in appointing her as Team Leader. Sometimes, she can be quite adorable at times, those silver eyes… and her wonderful black and red hair… and her magnificent body… one word; beautiful…" Ruby eyes widened as she read on… "I sometimes get the urge to share a bed with her but I'm not sure if she swings that way… it's stupid for me to be attracted to women, it's wrong but I can't help it! I need to control these urges to…" Ruby just blinks multiple times as she read the more "Graphical" part of the log… she didn't know Weiss was...

Weiss was at the moment looking at the floor with an embarrassed look, blushing severely and biting her lower lip. She couldn't help but fiddle with her hair. It was so embarrassing, to have her secret revealed in such a manner. Waiting for the scathing comments coming her way, all she could do was just hope… hope that Ruby felt the same way about her.

Ruby tried to put her hand on Weiss' shoulders but it was brushed aside. "Weiss… I never knew…" Weiss didn't say anything, but put her head between her hands. Ruby joined her, handing her diary back to her. "Weiss… do you really have feelings for me?" Weiss just quietly nodded, she wanted to cry but she couldn't. Ruby embraced her in a warm hug. Weiss still didn't know what Ruby thought about it, and the fear was driving her crazy.

"You're... not going to say something?" she asked nervously, she hesitantly waited for the answer.

Ruby took a moment to pull herself away from Weiss, during this time she just looked at Weiss's body, all the curves and her beautiful hair that she'd never really noticed before, Weiss may be the cold Ice princess everyone calls her, but Ruby knew that even the Ice princess had a heart. That diary entry seemed to have given her a new perspective. Ruby, thought of something that five minutes ago would have been weird to her. I've never kissed a girl before... well besides Yang, donning a wicked grin, she locked her lips with her roommate.

Pulling away slowly, "What do you think?" Ruby asked, thinking she'd made it pretty clear. "I'll take that as a yes…" Weiss looked a bit embarrassed but she remembered Yang and Blake were out shopping so that left Ruby and Weiss alone for a while.

"So Weiss, why don't we do something more exciting then studies?" Ruby teased while giggling.

Weiss, slowly regaining her confidence, gave her a small smirk, boldly flipping Ruby onto her back, pressing their bodies together and locking lips passionately, spending the night moaning from the intensity of their love. Weiss finally gets her wish granted and this time, it actually felt good. Feeling intoxicated in the moment, Ruby couldn't help but explore her partner's body, as this was the first time that she'd actually done anything intimate. Oh... How she wished this moment would last for ever…

Mmmz… screw studies this is totally worth it!
