Chapter 2

Luffy stood staring down at a out-of-it Zoro who just seemed to be staring at his neck like it was the Mona Lisa, making Luffy a bit.. confused. He waved a hand slightly in front of Zoro's face with a sheepish laugh, glancing back at Killer who seemed to be trying his hardest not to burst out laughing.

"Um.. Zoro?"

"Huh, what?"

"Wanna show me the dance..?"

"Oh yeah.. right..."

So Zoro stepped up to Luffy, trying to figure out just how he would place his hands, shifting them up and down franctically. Luffy rolled his eyes and took Zoro's shoulder and waist, pulling him close as if it were an everyday thing.

Zoro died inside, having to take the woman's part..

"Since I'm taller, it only makes sense," Luffy clarified for the horrified-looking partner.

"Mm.." Zoro nodded, looking away at anything and everything, and nearly chocked when he saw Killer with a hand clapped over his mouth, his cheeks burning red.

'He totally set me up..'Zoro thought to himself, looking back up at Luffy. Luffy raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"So? This is the dance, eh? I have to say it's the simplest thing I've ever done in my life!" Luffy teased, fully aware of Zoro's inner battle. He couldn't it had never happened before; that would be a major lie.

"Oh, um, well.. here," Zoro stammered, trying to remember Patty's part. He moved a leg back to the right, Luffy's foot following close afterwards as it should. The other feet touched the planted ones, then shifted to the left side.

"Then you, uhh.."

"Mhm, I got it."

With choppy flashes of movement, the two got through the first half of the dance twice, in other words, the hardest part of the dance was good and perfected.

"I heard you were good, but.. wow.." Zoro mumbled, catching his breath as he looked at a completely relaxed Luffy, standing there with his arms crossed and a grin on his face.

"I know."

"'Course.. hmm.. maybe we should move onto the next part.."

"Fine by me, I've got all day."

And so, the two moved onwards, switching from a ballroom dance to a modern pop which was a easy to follow, just a lot of movement.

"Side-step, bring your arms down from the side like this, then.. you put a hand on your hip and hold your other hand up so I can.. spin," Zoro explained, taken aback when Luffy did just that and took Zoro's hand so he could spin twice and then pull back, hand-in-hand, and two lean back and come back together, Zoro with a amazed expression as he cupped Luffy's face in his hand, the other one on the man's chest. Luffy held one hand on Zoro's lower back, the other one brought up to Zoro's arm.

Killer came back from his own dance practice to see the finish, whislting and clapping for the new partners. Zoro found himself staring back at Luffy's deep, inviting onyx eyes, Luffy's smirk and hands never moving until Zoro realized his action and pulled back while trying to cover it up.

"So.."

"Heh?"

"That's all?" Luffy asked, crossing his arms over his muscled chest again. Zoro nodded, looking up at Luffy like he were insane.

"Wow, okay! Simple enough. Oh, and I think the ending is great," Luffy added, sending a playful wink to Zoro who about passed. Killer had enough and started laughing like none of them had heard before, making everyone who heard grin and laugh too.

Zoro retreated to his dance bag and sat down, head in hand as he grabbed his bottle of juice ad downed the rest of it like it would save his life. Luffy couldn't help but torment the man just a little bit more and sat down next to him, cross-legged as he just calmly watched his new partner control his embarrassment.

Placing a hand on Zoro's knee which in turn scared the living daylights of out the green-haired man, Luffy looked directly at Zoro and said, "We should get to know each other better.. maybe, go out for lunch?"

Zoro nearly dropped his bottle and he gaped at Luffy, not believing anything that came out of the gorgeous man's mouth. He got lost in Luffy's eyes again and nodded, unconciously putting a hand on Luffy's hand. Killer paled, not wanting his short-haired friend to get the hottie of the studio. But what could he do now?

"Welp, I'm gonna go hit the showers-"

Zoro's heart throbbed.

"-so, if you wanna go too, then afterwards we can go get something to eat, k?"

Zoro nodded, finding himself engulfed in Luffy's magic, following the man wherever he went. Killer watched his friend change from his usual self to someone completely in love and shook his head, smirking as he picked up his own bag to go home to his own shower.

Zoro heard Luffy humming a tune in the shower and recognized it as an old kid's show about pirates' theme song. He hummed along, wondering how Luffy knew the tune so well.

'Hmm.. oh my god, what if he has kids who watch that show?!' Zoro screeched in his mind, eyes going wide. He quickly picked up humming again, trying to put that thought at the back of his mind.

'But I mean, how could he not be married, looking the way he does... *sigh*'

Zoro depressedly continued scrubbing his body, listening carefully to every move Luffy made in the shower next to him.

Washing his hair a second time for the hell of it, Luffy couldn't stop smirking at the way Zoro hummed along with him, and how he wanted to know everything about this odd green-haired man. I mean really, its not everyday that you see a guy with green hair that acted the way Zoro did, that is, unconciously-vulnerable.

Letting the water run over him, waiting for his partner to finish his shower, Luffy crossed his arms as he thought about how many times he had picked up random people who 'fell in love' with him over the years; a lot of people. Mainly girls, but, Zoro wasn't the first guy, at least. Of course, Luffy had never persued any sort of romantic relationship with the people, just making it seem like he was innocently interested before playing it off like he was completely oblivious to their feelings towards him, making them nodded and agree in a flustered state.

To say the least, Luffy knew how to play dumb.

But this time, he came across a guy who seemed genuinely curious about him as a person, yes, liking his looks too, but that's not what drove his love.

Luffy put a finger to his lip as he smiled, thinking that maybe if he was lucky, he wouldn't chicken out of such a great start. Shoving his wet hair back off his face, he pondered if Zoro liked his goatee. Thinking that it wouldn't be too comfortable when kissing, thinking ahead with hope, Luffy plucked a razor out of his bag that was right outside his shower, along with some shaving cream, and quickly shaved his chin smooth again.

Looking at his reflection in the tile wall, Luffy rubbed a hand across his face experimentally and grinned, liking his old playful teenage-look again. It inspired him to maybe let go of his mature act and just let go, giving Zoro what he wanted to know.

He wondered how Zoro would react.

Later, at a small cafe on the outskirts of the busy city, Luffy and Zoro sat sipping their coffee, looking over the menu at what they wanted. Luffy had been there before and knew what he wanted, but he didn't want to make Zoro feel like he had to rush himself when choosing the most wonderful thing in the world, food.

Casting a glance or two over his menu at Zoro through his 'reading glasses', Luffy grinned to himself as Zoro studied the list carefully, as if weighing his options.

In all reality, Zoro wanted something healthy but not too expensive, since he wasn't exactly made of money, even though he may act like it sometimes.

"Get whatever you want," Luffy demanded calmly, putting his glasses up on the top of his head as he put down his menu finally and crossed his legs, "It's on me."

"Oh no, no, let me pay," Zoro pleaded, looking up at Luffy with a flabbergasted expression. Luffy simply chuckled and shook his head, holding up a hand to shush Zoro.

"Oh please, don't bite the hand that feeds you," Luffy stated with much faith behind that expression. Zoro looked away with a blush and pout, and silently nodded, looking back over the menu one more till he found something still cheap but healthy.

When the waitress came to their table, Luffy said that he just wanted 'the usual' and she nodded with a smirk and then turned to yet another 'new friend'.

The waitress, Nami, and the chef Sanji were good friends with Luffy and knew him all too well, and were used Luffy bringing in stray wandering animals with him, and then the cafe workers never saw them again. But judging by the look on Luffy's face as he watched Zoro order, Nami could tell that maybe this green-haired guy was different.

Nami remembered Zoro's order in her head and nodded, repeating the order back just to make sure. Zoro nodded in amazement that she could remember his order so quickly. Nami turned to leave, menus in hand, but kept her eyes on Luffy, waiting for a sign, a bored whistle, or a tap on the table.

Luffy tapped his fingers idly, watching her go, and then turned back to talk to Zoro about anything and everything.

Nami walked back to the kitchen normally, but as soon as she reached Sanji, she burst out into a fit of giggles, putting a hand on the cook's shoulder for support. Sanji gave her a raised eyebrow.

"Luffy.. Luffy finally found someone!"

"Oh? Not the usual hooligans?" Sanji questioned, flipping some vegetables that would soon go in Luffy's meal.

"Looks like one, but sure doesn't act like it," Nami stated, thinking specifically about the hair and earrings, and tan-tan skin.

"Interesting.. that Luffy, man, he can really pick up anyone and everyone can't he?" Sanji thought outloud, thinking about all the people that had come in with the dancer.

"I suppose so," Nami replied, telling Zoro's order to Sanji, who literally stopped what he was doing to face his girlfriend.

"You mean to say that's all she's ordering?" Sanji asked in amazement.

"He."

"He.."

"And yeah, that's all."

Sanji turned back to the stove, a mischevious grin appearing on his face, "That can't do, no no, Luffy would have a fit. Maybe.. Hmm, I'll make Luffy's order bigger than usual."

"Fine by me and him~" Nami sang, peeking around the corner at the two dancers again, loving the look on both their faces as they talked to each other. Zoro was obviously uncomfortable when he had ordered, but he looked more relaxed now.

"I think you should take the orders out to them, Sanji-kun~" Nami suggested, poking Sanji's shoulder. Sanji turned to her and smirked with a short nod.

Oh, the things that Zoro didn't know.
