The sky was awash in fire.
He walked under it, every bit of him burning.
All around him, there were people on fire. They were screaming, for someone, something, anything, to save them.
He kept walking. Everything kept burning.
His likes, dislikes. Gone. The memories of his mother's face. Gone. His name. Gone.
Hope. Gone. Happiness. Gone. And even despair.
There was nothing left to burn.
He collapsed and stared up at the sky, completely stripped of all that he was.
Ah...
...Was he going to die here?
...What a waste.
Then, he was there.
The man looked down at him, and with him came the rain from the heavens. The soothing water drowned out the flames and soothed the sky.
His eyes...they're so happy...
The boy wondered, with the last dregs of his being, if he could be that happy, as well.
And then Sawada Tsunayoshi woke up.
AN: Yes, this is exactly what you think it is.
...Kufufufufu.
Okay, Mukuro-style giggling aside, I know I should be updating my other fics, but seriously, when a plot-bunny gets into my head, it's impossible to get rid of it.
On a separate note, does anyone know how to get to stop deleting my linebreaks? It's annoying the heck outta me.
I am probably not going to continue this, though, unless there is popular demand.
Or someone else can adopt this snippet. Meh.
God, I'm a terrible mom to my fics.
Ciaossu!
