CRAP! I really wanted to post this in honor of Doctor Who's 50th anniversary.
Yugi: You're posting it now right?
I meant to post it on the exact date. RATS!
Ryou: Better late and in the same week than never.
I guess. Anyways, this opening chapter centers on you, Ryou.
Ryou: AWESOME! ^.^
Three young adults sat in a small kitchen, watching the sun rise as they sipped at their hot drinks. The smallest of the three didn't look like an eighteen-year-old with his childish looks, but he had just graduated from high school. This particular male had unique tri-colored hair, mostly black with amethyst tips and blond bangs that framed his child-like face. His eyes were nearly the same shade as the tips of his hair.
His darker companion was of Egyptian descent with sandy-colored hair and unusual lavender eyes. This male was the tallest of the three. The remaining companion was easily mistaken for an albino because of his snowy-white hair and pale skin on many occasions but his doe-brown eyes showed that he was not.
The first male stretched, "I'm hungry guys. Does anyone want pancakes or French toast?"
"Pancakes sound great Yugi," his Egyptian friend stated. "I'll help."
"Count me in. Malik, the flour is in the second cupboard from the microwave."
"Thanks Ryou."
The three friends cooked and ate their breakfast together.
Ryou sat on a bench in a park not far from his family home, staring at something not there. "What's bothering you," Yugi asked as he returned with a couple cups of lemonade.
Ryou looked up, "Just remembering something from when I was little. You'll think I'm crazy if I told you."
"Ryou, we're the partial-reincarnations of Ancient Egyptian spirits and house their halves of our souls. We've been through so much that I doubt I can call you crazy without calling myself insane," Yugi laughed.
"Yugi's right," Malik added. "So what's bothering you?"
Ryou sighed, "When I was about six, I saw a police call-box appear from nowhere near this bench. A man stepped out and looked around before leaving it for a minute. He asked me the date and year before leaving. The box vanished into thin air."
Yugi was concerned. "Why would that depress you?"
"Because my parents thought that I was make-believing and when I insisted that it was real, they took me to a child psychiatrist," Ryou admitted. "I would have dismissed it as such two years later, but then the Ring entered the picture. Why would the vanishing police box be made up when Bakura's as real as we are?"
"Hey, guys? Was that angel there before," Malik questioned them.
Ryou and Yugi looked up and saw a weeping angel with its hands over its face. They all looked at each other in shock before looking at the statue. It had moved! The three friends backed away slowly before preparing to run.
"DON'T LOOK AWAY FROM IT," a voice commanded them. "DON'T BLINK!"
Ryou: I wonder where that statue came from.
Who knows, but it's not going to be there long enough to hurt you guys…
Malik: I don't like that look, PhantomBrat. What are you planning?
Amethyst-Jade: She's not saying. You're just going to have to wait until she can post the next chapter like everyone else.
