It was early in the morning around five in the morning Headmaster Ozpin was not thrilled Qrow nagged him to ask Kaname his decision on being in his inner circle. Ozpin wanted to keep it a secret from Kaname, but wanted to ask him about his view on hunters.

Ozpin got up from his chair and look down at his clock tower. 'What can Kaname provide me with' Ozpin thought. The headmaster then heard someone take the elevator. He knew it was Kaname because he sent him a message via scroll. Ozpin turned around to see Kaname in front of his office desk.

"Headmaster why have you summoned me to meet you?" Kaname asked.

Ozpin then said, "The reason is you peek my interest I know you come from a different world. Tell me have you been a researcher at one time in your past life?" Ozpin asked. The former vampire was expecting a different reply.

Kaname just smiled and said, "Headmaster yes, it's true I was once a researcher at one point of my life. To be brief I was creating a cure to turn vampires into humans." Ozpin was amazed what Kaname did.

"Did your cure get approved by the public eye?" Ozpin asked.

The former vampire sighed in annoyance. "I kept my research hidden from the public only to myself."

Ozpin figured to get to the point with Kaname. "I see now that's out of the way. Now tell me Kaname are you able to construct a machine that properly heals someone?" Ozpin asked.

Kaname flinched at that statement. "I'll ask my sister about this. DNA splicing will be part of my machine." Ozpin was in disbelief.

He finally found a person that can heal the fall maiden. However, Ozpin wonder how will the maiden get half of her powers back. The headmaster was looking into this a bit too much.

Kaname then cut off the headmaster train of thought. "Is this regarding about that women Qrow saved?" Kaname asked.

Ozpin was shock and adjusted his glasses. "I forgot Qrow found you during that routine scout mission that became a disaster. Half of that women's power was stolen. She needs it back, but I planned for a successor if it doesn't work."

Kaname nod in agreement. "Headmaster now tell me is it possibly I hunt down the person who took that women's power?" Kaname asked. Ozpin froze in place how determine Kaname is to help out.

"Is this because you've have made mistakes in your past? Ozpin asked. Kaname did not say anything and clutch his left hand. Ozpin knew Kaname regretted his mistakes.

"Mr. Kuran I will have you excuse for classes until that machine is made. I will provide you with a vacant lab to construct it and supplies for this research." Kaname had a feeling this is the perfect opportunity to complete a research. Plus he wants to work amongst the shadows.

'To keep peace in this world is to be in enemy lines.' Kaname thought.

"You may go now Mr. Kuran also don't stress yourself if you need help just ask."

As Kaname headed to the elevator he glared back at Ozpin and said, "Certainly I will ask if I need help. Also one more thing headmaster whoever is disrupting your worlds peace I'm willing to exterminate them."

Once Kaname left the clock tower Ozpin was relieved. 'Finally I have gain an ally; now I must inform that headmaster in Haven academy.' Ozpin thought. The headmaster then sent a message to the Haven academy headmaster via scroll.

In the dorms specifically Zero room he was awaken by his scroll ringing due to Kaname sending him a message. The former vampire hunter looked at his scroll and read Kaname message. "Subject: Research, Zero I will be not attending classes due to headmaster giving me a task."

Zero rolled his eyes in annoyance. 'Oh great I'm stuck with those kids. Especially that Arc boy I need to break him.' Zero thought. Elsewhere in the dorms Yuki wakes up to her scroll ringing from Zero relaying Kaname's message.

'Sheesh it's only six in the morning.' Yuki thought.

Yuki got out of her room and left to go to the library little did she knew Zero was following her. When she got to the library Zero made her panic.

"Zero you got me sacred. Also why are you following me?" Yuki asked.

Zero yawned and said, "Was curious where you were heading to. Plus I was wondering if there are any books regarding the royal families of Remnant and the White Fang?" Zero asked. Yuki decided to grab Zero's hand and he followed her.

"Let me guess you know where it is right?" Zero questioned.

"Sort of my teammate Blake showed me where most of the historically books are." Once Yuki found the aisle where Blake found the books she passed them to Zero.

"Well anyway Zero I'm heading back to the dorms to wake my team up." Before Yuki could leave Zero grabbed her arm tightly. This surprised Yuki she wanted to know why.

Zero sighed and let go of Yuki's arm. "Sorry about that Yuki I'm just worried about your urge for blood."

Yuki smiled hearing that and said, "Don't worry about me I'm able control my lust. Also let's try help this world in any way we can." Yuki then took her leave.

Once Yuki left; Zero scan through the two books until he read an interesting page for the two books. "Royal families of Remnant: Kuran family. Page 325; a family known as the richest Faunus family. They never had judge any other Faunus family. During the time the White Fang was created they despise it. Reasons were unknown, but the siblings of the Kuran family were labeled as targets of the White Fang. Yuki Kuran wanted the Faunus to think before they act. Kaname Kuran wish peace between humans and Faunus, but they never listen. However, in the end Zero Kiryu the closest friend to the Kuran siblings aided them in discouraging some Faunus to not join the White Fang. The Kuran siblings dubbed it 'A group that is misguided with violence and it's either a cult or terrorist group.' Out of rage Kaname was shot down by a White Fang member. Years later Zero and Yuki went in public hiding since the White Fang thought they will help them. The last report of them were in a hospital. Rumors has it Zero and Yuki are dead with only two children."

The page Zero read had him skeptical. 'That would mean certain things transpire in Remnant like bat Faunus. Also the supposed death of my Remnant self.' Zero thought. As he double check the book about the White Fang his hunch was right.

'This so called White Fang act like low-life vampires, but they use to be in peace with humans.' Zero thought. He then put the books away and check the time. To his surprise it was eight 'o'clock. Zero quickly left the library and headed to the cafeteria expecting his teammates would be there.

Elsewhere in Beacon in a sound proof lab Kaname was creating many tools to aid with Ozpin request. Out of all of them he only crafted a glove that extracts a person's aura and powers and stores in the glove. Which will correspond with a machine that takes the stored aura and powers and transfers it to person residing in machine.

'I find myself in an amusing situation', Kaname thought. He then shifted his attention to a whiteboard with scribbled words and sketches. It was a complicated DNA splicer which Kaname wanted to perfect. Another area of the whiteboard was a sketch of an insect drone. Kaname felt overwhelmed with the task at hand. Kaname decided it was best to rest for a couple hours until Yuki finished class. He decided to look at his scroll at one of the cameras overlooking a combat class.

To his surprise Zero was sparing against their so called leader, Jaune. Zero wasn't giving Jaune any chance to fight back. Zero only kept kicking Jaune down while insulting him. Kaname knew very well during the time Zero was in the vampire headquarters he was trained by a veteran vampire hunter. As the match ended Glynda announced something that peek Kaname interest.

"Remember, everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away! It won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale!"Glynda said. Kaname closed his scroll and left his lab to meet with Ozpin. Before he left his lab Kaname input a complicated passcode to keep outsiders from getting in.

'That women in crimson dress is just a pawn. Qrow no wonder Ozpin entrusted you with that women. Now it's my responsibility to return order quickly as possible.' Kaname thought.

Back with Yuki and Zero the two were sitting between team RWBY & JNPR in the café discussing about Jaune lack of fighting skills.

Zero spoke first. "Sorry about that earlier Jaune I was expecting a good match. You're good at defense, but come on Jaune your offense needs some work." Jaune was not at ease with what Zero said.

Jaune sighed and said, "To be honest I shouldn't be in this school in the first place."

Everyone turned their attention to Jaune. "Let me guess you forged a fake transcript to get in," said Yuki.

At that point Jaune wanted to scream at Yuki. 'How did she know?' Jaune thought.

Jaune then said, "I wanted to be like my grandfather and father as they two were consider heroes. I want to bring my family honor."

Zero clapped at Jaune's statement, "To be honest Jaune, Ozpin told me about it, so that's kind of why he put me on your team. Besides that Jaune you're going have to go through my painful training."

Pyrrha then followed saying, "Jaune I'll help you with Zero's training also."

The blonde then sighed in relief. Before anyone could talk they hear a plea of help from someone in the café. Most of the other students ignored, but the Faunus students were grumbling at what was taking place. Before Yang could say anything Zero stood up from the chair and walk towards the boy named Cardin in armor pulling Velvet's hair.

Yuki just rolled her eyes and said, "Zero still has that guardian attitude in him."

Jaune then asked, "What do you mean?" Yuki knew things would get troublesome.

Ruby replied Jaune instead of Yuki, "Basically back in their old academy they were in charge of student order between all student grade levels." Next thing both teams saw was Cardin upside down tangling on Zero's green vines.

"What the hell are you doing let go of me?" Cardin demanded.

"Well if you can apologize to your upper classmen I will let go." Zero said.

Cardin wasn't pleased, "What are you going to do about it if I don't?" Cardin asked.

Zero was losing his temper, but kept calm. "Simple I'll just report this incident to Ozpin."

Cardin just laughed at Zero's statement. "Really buddy that's all you're going to do. Plus I hate her kind; they are half animals!" This gave Blake and Velvet chill down their spine.

Zero looked at Cardin in disgust. Zero then decided to grip his vines tightly and swung Cardin near the café door. Both teams were not expecting this to escalate.

"Did Zero just owned Cardin?" Jaune asked.

Ruby replied Jaune with, "Yes; I think he deserved that."

Zero didn't care if Cardin and his team decided pick a fight with him. He just doing his end of the bargain with Qrow. Zero then helped Velvet leave the café. Yuki decided to intervene team CRDL from assaulting took out her scythe and stop them in their tracks.

"Halt stop your foolishness before I use force. This is a school of equal opportunity. Oppressive people are not needed here. Whatever heritage you have be proud of it!" Yuki passed through team CRDL having the tip of the scythe near their leader's neck.

"Turn back now only death awaits you any further. I will kill you if I have to prove my point!"

Cardin was terrified Yuki was being serious about following school rules and equality. Cardin didn't want to get anymore beatings from these exchange students. Cardin bailed out of the café with his team following him. The people in the cafe were whispering about Zero and Yuki's bold move on the freshmen bully. Yuki made a run to her friends table to drink her bottle of blood. Team RWBY & JNPR stared at Yuki in shock.

"For a person from another world your words speck truth." Weiss said.

Yuki just sighed and said, "I'm just looking out for innocents." Jaune was dumbfounded at what happen.

Yang broke the silence, "Yuki are you sure Zero and you are together-together?" The blonde asked.

"You brute in dust why ask her an indecent question Yang." Weiss was disgusted at Yang's question.

"Yang at this point me and Zero are just friends." Blake decided it was time to tell her secret; she rather say it than keeping it to herself. Before Blake could say anything she heard the intercom announced Yuki's name.

"Ah Yuki I'm assuming you're in trouble?" Ren asked.

"Very funny guys, but maybe something much more important." Yuki said.

Once Yuki left the cafeteria she went to Ozpin office for god knows what. She had a feeling it infer about her weaponry & abilities. As Yuki approach the elevator door to Ozpin office, she felt a very similar presence.

"Why is this presence so familiar?" Yuki said to herself. She feels the presence of Zero and Kaname above, but the third presence was bothering her. Yuki processed to go up into Ozpin office.

"Goodness who is this?" Yuki wondered.

After her short elevator ride up the elevator; it revealed the headmaster she knows in her past. He has hazel eyes, ash blond hair pulled back in a ponytail, same height and clothing as Ozpin. The most noticeable thing about him was he is equipped with a shoulder guard for each shoulder, and has a colichemarde sword strapped to his belt on his left hip.

"Greetings Ms. Kuran I may not know of your circumstances, but I believe your purpose in this world is needed." Before the man could continue specking Zero yawned.

"Professor Cross get on with the point of your visit?" Zero said in anger.

Ozpin then intervene saying, "To be frank Kaien Cross has some information regarding your Remnant selves. Plus about the current state of this world shift in power."

Kaien then adjusted his glasses and said, "Your Remnant selves were killed not because they were targets of the White Fang; it was because the Kuran family had connections with other Bat Faunus family." Kaname, Yuki, and Zero were a bit confused by this revelation.

"What did they have in common with?" Yuki asked.

Kaien response was, "Bat Faunus are known to be very knowledge about places with large deposits of dust. They made a business empire that went beyond the Schnee Corporation. However, that was when the White Fang teared it apart killing its head executives and people involved in that company business."' For a few minutes Yuki was a bit sadden that her Remnant self was killed due to jealousy. Ozpin know this information struck a nerve in Yuki's mind, but it must be done.

Kaien just adjusted his glasses and processed to talk again. "As for the current state off this world; the fall maiden power has been stolen and someone is using it for their purposes; White Fang activities have increased; Dark forces are coming in places you wouldn't look into." Kaname was very pleased his task is not going to be easy.

Zero gave a clap to Kaien's long explanation. "Anything more you need to tell us Professor Cross?" Zero wanted to leave already, but he know something must be done.

"Actually there is one thing I forgot to mention. My Cross academy had a day and night class similar to your world, but night classes housed the Bat Faunus only for protection. In return a member of the White Fang infiltrated my school and killed a few of the Bat Faunus students. However, some lived, but my school was destroyed and decommissioned. I rebuilt from my mistakes, and now I'm fixing them. Right now I'm in charge of Haven academy."

Kaname felt hurt knowing his remnant self-relatives might be dead.

Ozpin took a sip of his coffee and said, "With that information sinking in your head you tree get some rest, the coming days will be longer." The trio then left to the dorms to slowly take in the information they have received.

Luckily they had two days off school to bond with their friends and tell them what happen.
