True Blue

McGonagall could see why he was placed into Ravenclaw.

He was smart; his knowledge in magic and evasion of detentions showed as much. He was talented; his spellwork both in classes as well as pranks said so. He also looked good in blue (well they can't all be perfect reasons can they?)

But she was baffled how much trouble one boy could cause. Not even the Weasley twins gave her this much grievances; she started pitying Flitwick for a moment. Even on the first day, there was that incident with Longbottom when Frost had tried to freeze his nose. Poor boy blanched and almost fell backwards down the stairs if she hadn't intervened. The white haired Hellion was once more twirling his wand in class, shooting snowflakes once in a while.

She cleared her throat. "Mr. Frost."

The twirling stopped along with the snowflakes that were threatening to drown Terry Boot.

"If you would be so kind to grace us with your attention Mr. Frost," The professor said, an eyebrow perking upwards, "Perhaps you could show the class how to transform your match?" He blinked up at her; then blinked again.

Finally, he shrugged and pointed his wand at the small stick. With a few taps and a whispered spell…the wooden figure slowly turned smaller, silver and thinner. The match had taken the exact form of a needle; its eye was there and the tip was quite sharp. With bored and yet innocent eyes, Jack looked up at Professor McGonagall; the expression on his face was as if he were asking if he did it right. Yes, she could see why he was in Ravenclaw. She said thank you, moved on to another student while Jack continued creating snowstorms on other students' heads.
