Hey yall! I've missed yall! It's so busy! I will always keep writing because I love to. I got so many ideas and maybe just maybe might write a book but just for the funsies. There's this story that just won't leave my head and ITS ANNOYING. But I'm not sure I can write a story...? who Knows? Spring break is around the corner and it's like can the week just hurry up?

Also it's like.. Happy things just make me cry. I get so overwhelmed that tears start pouring down so I am a sensitive sap. T.T

We walked to the agreed spot. Hisoka was playing with his cards. He saw us appearing and when we were within earshot he spoke to us. He commented on how fast we came. He noticed Kurapika was on guard, cautious as always.

"Relax. I have no intention of fighting against you now."

"I don't want to waste time in useless chatting. Tell me what you wanted to during the exams."

"Really? Well.. The Phantom Troupe has 13 members. Each wears the tattoo of a spider with a number of entrance in the group. The members of the Phantom Troupe can change at any time. The ones who want to enter the troupe must fight against a member to replace him. Apart from this, if some people are missing the boss can choose to integrate new guys. Its main activity is robber and murder and sometimes it acts for the good." Hisoka unloaded all at once.

"So chaotic good." I muttered. Hisoka heard me and gave me a smile.

"Til now I haven't learned anything new." Kurapika told him. His focus solely on what Hisoka was saying.

"As for me I joined the Phantom Troupe about two years ago to replace #4. My goal is to fight against the boss of the Phantom Troupe, but despite my efforts, I haven't managed it yet. He has a straight guard. Plus, he always has at least two people with him. And, each time when the work is over, he disappears. He doesn't leave an traces. It's here we share a common interest. Don't you think that alone, it might be difficult to reach the set objective? Even with Mitsuki helping." Hisoka responded. It left Kurapika in shock.

"What are you planning?"

"I can't tell you all I now of the abilities of the members of the Phantom Troupe. Even if I only know 7." He told us. "Let's team up." I looked at Hisoka in shock. Did he just ask to team up? What in the world was going on? "Now it depends on you." I was about to protest, "Because Mitsuki will follow you wherever so really it's all you choice. You team up with me.. or will you continue alone?"

"He's not alone!" I replied. Kurapika didn't reply. His face showed nothing but he was processing everything he just heard. His phone started to ring. Hisoka nodded letting him know it was okay to answer so he did. Whoever was on the phone was frantic.

"How!? Alone?!" He shouted in shock. Really what was going on? Finally he ended the phone call, once again his demeanor changed. "Hisoka, i have something to aask you. Do you know what happened to the scarlet pupils?"

"Sorry but it happened before I'd joined the Phantom Troupe. After he's admired the objects he targeted, the boss sells everything. Scarlet pupils might not be an exception. That's all I know. I can tell you one other thing. The spider continues moving as long as its head hasn't been crushed. Being teammates doesn't mean we're in the same boat. It's 'give or take': the essential of the collaboration is exchanging information. Convenient, isn't it? If the condition of one or another doesn't fit anymore we're free to quit the collaboration. Your answer?"

"Tomorrow, same time." Kurapika replied with no hesitation. I looked at him in shock.

"He tried to kill us during the hunter exam you know." I told him dryly.

"We need him." he replied. I nodded. I looked at Hisoka again and he just gave me that same creepy smile.

"Ground rules. You aren't to get 3 feet near me." I growled at him. He nodded.

"Is that all?" Hisoka asked lazily. I shrugged. Nothing else was coming to me. We then headed out. The walk back was silent. Each of us in our own thoughts. We were really going to team up with Hisoka of all people.. Well if he did kill the boss then that was better for us and the world... I barely remember seeing him. I remember the fires and screams.. I remember being stabbed. I had a scar near my heart and it was a reminder of what had happened. I shivered.. Whether it was from the night breeze or my thoughts. I remembered the guys with the sword and Uvo. He had enjoyed himself laughing through it all. I was lucky to be alive, a miracle really. I sighed.

We made it to the building and they began informing us what had happened.

"Well what are we going to do now? The boss is probably dead and we still haven't finished our mission." Basho asked.

"First we must inform the 'Boss'." Kurapika told them.

"The 'Boss' is nothing more than a name. It's only a young lady." Basho informed us.

"Our real employer isn't her. It's her father, Light Nostrade." Squala told us. "Its him who transmitted the orders to Dalzollene. Except the chief, nobody knows how to contact him."

"We have no other choice but to inform him." Kurapika decided. He and Squala walked into Neon's room. I trailed after cause I didn't want to be left behind. Neon was curled into her blankets. Squala nudged her awake.

"What time is it?" She asked sleepily.

"2 a.m." Kurapika answered her.

"What!? And the bids?!" She asked.

"They were cancelled." He replied.

"Cancelled.. but why?"

"The place of the auction was attacked by criminals. Baise, Ivlenkov, and Tocino passed away." Kurapika explained to her.

"And we can't join the boss. He too is probably.. dead." Squala added.

"Huh? What!? But then.. The mummy? It ahs been stolen too!? I wanted it so much.." She pouted. Kurapika looked perplexed. He wasn't expecting this response.

"It seems the community put the objects of the sale in a safe place." Kurapika answered.

"Ah! That's good." Neon said. She brightened up considerably. "When is the next auction planned for?"

"We don't know yet."

"What why!?"

"Until n ow, all the information we received was transmitted by the boss. Consequently if we don't receive any orders, we can't act." Kurapika told her.

"But I don't know any of that kind of stuff either. Ask my father, I've got his number on my cell phone." She handed the phone to Kurapika. I looked in shock. He looked shocked too.

"Squala you call him." He said handing the phone to him.

"What!? Why me?" Squala shouted.

"Because you're the one with the most seniority in the group." I told him.

"Yeah. But.. It's not okay with me! I don't wanna be a leader!"

"We should decide together wouldn't that be better? Anyways we must call as soon as possible. I nominate Kurapika." Melody told us, shocking the room.

"I seconded that." I replied. This was perfect. A chance had already stumbled upon Kurapika. It was like lady luck was watching over us again!

"It's him who captured the other guy, and I think he has good judgement." Melody added.

"He's always very good at dealing with difficult people." I said.

"I agree. My choice is Kurapika." Basho said.

That's true. Accept it please." Squala agreed. I nodded. This was amazing.

"Very well.. For the moment, as a temporary substitute. I'm calling Nostrade. Until we're certain about what has happened to Dalzollene. It's Nostrade who will make the final decision." Kurapika spoke agreeing to it all. His facial expressions made him look unsure about this. He was pretty good at acting. He turned back to Neon, "It's a bit delicate to call him this way, all of a sudden. Could you call him and introduce me?" He asked her. Neon agreed and she began the phone call.

"Papa? It's Neon. Some things have happened, you know. Thieves have entered the auction house! Dalzollene might be dead too. I'm gonna give you the one who has replaced him at the moment, so don't hang up." She handed the phone to Kurapika.

"Hello?" Kurapika answered. He and the big boss had a conversation and the rest of the group filed out, the deed done. I stayed around. Finally the phone call was over and he talked to Neon again, "You're father should be arriving tomorrow night." Neon cheered. She talked about new clothes. I could agree with her on that point. Clothes were everything. "But while waiting for him, he asked you to wait quietly in your room." Neon instantly pouted. She had wanted to go to the casino. We left her room and he began to make preparations about moving her.

"I would ask you to help but I know you're bad with technology." Kurapika told me giving me a soft smile.

"Whatever. I'm just here to be moral support." I told him. He laughed gently and got back to work. He switched rooms under a different named and check the hunter's site about the Nostrades.

"Check this out." Kurapika gestured to me. He showed me all the information. I scanned through it. There was information about the Nostrade's places and where he stood and some bodyguards of his. Dalzollene's name was on the list. We could easily be found with this information. I think Kurapika came to the same conclusion I did.

He gathered the group again. He told them everything he found out and Squala was more shocked of the fact that Kurapika was a professional hunter. He gave them more instructions and wanted to move her around. It was safer to move her into another room checked into with Basho's or Melody's name. They agreed but Melody noticed that Kurapika was staying.

"It's fine. I'll be there." I told her trying to reassure her. There was no way she was going to change either's of our minds and she knew it.

They all left and Kurapika stood patiently waiting for Uvo to show up. I sat down. Pip stayed snuggled in my pocket, content. Kurapika's phone went off. He just let it ring. Who would be calling at this time? Before I could think anymore, the door opened. Out came Uvo's ugly mug.

"Just you two? That's brave. Where do you want to die? I'll let you decide the place where you're gonna get killed." His nen was covering him like a sheet of blanket. It could be easily felt.

"Somewhere we won't cause any problems to anybody. I suppose your death cries must be loud." Kurapika answered. I wanted to write that down in my journal of sassy Kurapika answers. I felt my phone buzzing next and I looked at the caller I.D. and it was Gon. I pressed decline and turned off my phone.

We went back to the canyon from before. Uvo had to a piss break.

"I want to take him on myself." Kurapika told me.

"What? Are you crazy!? Like I'm going to trust you-"

"Please. I need to know if my nen will be able to take them on." He gave me a pleading stare.. I wouldn't back down. Seconds later I couldn't look at him in the eye.. I sighed. How did he always get his way with me?

"Fine. Do it. But the moment you're at death's door, I'm jumping in." I told him. He gave me a smile and caressed my cheek. I could only stare at him, my heart beating wildly, my stomach fluttering. It was moments like these that made me afraid.. Afraid I would lose everything once again.. I loved him dearly that was made clearly from the moment I knew it was him. It was like a melody I had forgotten, but when I remembered it, everything made sense again. I had known I was lost for a long time, not knowing what I was doing with my life. Things had happened. Yet despite the odds there he was right there, by my side again. Sometimes I had woken up in the middle of the night in cold sweat believing this to all be a dream. Each time he soothed me back to sleep murmuring that he would never leave me. A rash promise that I relished in. Now he was going to fight one of the Phantom Troupe's strongest, if not the strongest, fighter. It was almost like a nightmare. I think Kurapika knew I was anxious.

"I won't die." He told me. His stare was fierce, unwavering. His hand not leaving my cheek. His eyes were filled love. Yet I don't think he loved me the way I loved him. Something that took me months to realize in what way I loved him. It had been a process, I could feel tears trying to well up in my eyes but I willed them away. I would not cry, not when he needed me to be strong for him.

"If you do, I'll revive you, kick your ass, and then make him pay." I told him in all seriousness. He chuckled. The air around us was heavy, playtime was over. This was the real deal. Life and death. Someone would walk out of here alive and someone would be dead, and if I had sometime to say about it, we would be alive.

Uvo finally appeared back. "I made you wait, sorry." He said. We looked at him, all I saw was red.
