Chapter Two

The distant morning star never looked so far

Tyger, Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye.
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

"Onee-sama could you stop looking like that, you're scaring me over here." Kuroko said when she had to watch her beloved Senpai Misaka Mikoto jump around happily and regularly dragged her into a mix of rain dance and Waltzer. However the auburn haired girl understood and joined into her elders happiness, less it would outlast her and she might never get another chance to be with her beloved like this. And she seriously didn't mind being hugged through the entire night.

"What's wrong Kuroko? You're red like a tomato" being brought back by her beloved and being made aware that she was still stuck between the same happiness and embarrassment as last night. She stopped and shyly looked at her Onee-sama who was still all shiny and sparkly. And without a warning she was hugged "Don't act all embarrassed! C'mon let's go! Uiharu-san and Saten-san are waiting!" And Mikoto practically dragged her along the road.

What Mikoto didn't know was that Kuroko was between Heaven and Hell "O-Onee-sama! Please...I can walk on my own." and was nearly pushed into the smoldering pits of Limbo when her Onee-sama pouted and said "Don't sweat the small stuff, you're as light as a feather."

Compliments and an Onee-sama that was both childish and gentlemanly - AND not minding the close proximity between them … It was like a wet dream come true.

And she accidentally teleported them closer to their intended destination. "Bou~h. And here I wanted to watch you getting more flustered!" her Mikoto confessed while pouting shocking the younger girl with the force of thousand volts without the need of her power.

So Onee-sama was teasing me?! Kuroko reddened further thought it wouldn't last long as she saw something offsetting on the ground before her workplace.

They stood in front of Kuroko's Judgment Office but it was strangle silent in the area. The small Officer looked around but heard and saw nothing, not even the crowd that was normally gathering around this area. Worse when her eyes went downwards blood was splattered the area, with it trailing towards her office building.

Fearing the worst she looked at the older girl who met her gaze with the same expression. Together they jolted up the stairs and slammed the door to the office open. Expecting a nightmarish sight to greet them…

But instead the saw a nun clad in a white habit hugging a woman with black hair, skimpy outfit ,that was slightly soaked in blood but appeared unscathed ,and had an impressive ample chest in which said nun's face was buried into.

"Could someone enlighten me about what happened here?" Kuroko asked into the round of her friends which sat around the odd couple with baffled expressions. They all turned to her monotonously saying the one thing no one believed in in Academy City

"It's magic."

A certain Hospital

… … …

The Albino didn't move. He already knew that his position as number one was lost. How wouldn't it after her lost like that. How wouldn't it as he was all tattered and bruised. He wanted to laugh at the irony. He seriously hadn't seen it coming. The slashes and the fists that were driving into his skin, torn apart his skin and muscles. Maybe he should be grateful about was that he was still alive after such an assault. Maybe he should be grateful that he doesn't need to hurt anyone, that he could never hurt anyone again, ever. Maybe he should feel pissed and angry and downright humiliated that he was sparred for what he has done.

What had he done?! After all this time all he could ask himself was what he did wrong … and the only conclusion that he reached was that he was never in the right to begin with.

He was always alone. His parents gave him up as soon as he started to manifest his abilities. Armies came after him once word got out what he might be capable of. They were destroyed. By him. By his power. Even if he wasn't able to fully understand what his ability was back then, now he was more than powerful. But he wasn't fearful enough. He wasn't strong enough.

Casting aside his old name he fully embraced the persona named Accelerator. Which was also the name of his ability.

Vector manipulation.

It was such a rare and nearly inconceivable ability, that scientists around the globe were hunting for him, wanted to study him. But the first who got to capture him was Academy City.

From then on all the albino, battered and bruised as he was now, wanted was to become stronger. Stronger. Stronger than anyone or anything in this world. So strong that no one would dare even look at him...Strange how the world played out. Here he thought he was power hungry and egoistic, yet all he truly wanted was -

°Ah your awake° He heard a voice in his head. Has his ability already stopped functioning or was he going to die soon.

°Nonono, nothing like that! Please stopped thinking that you naughty boy *wink*° Ah great it was some old dude's voice in his head. As if he wasn't f*cked up already, now a g*ddamn transvestite was talking to him and even said "wink" out loud!

What the albino has yet to know was -

"I told her." the red head with his bar code tattoo under his eye said lighting his cigarette with the flame he summoned "I told her that her wounds were to server...that she wouldn't survive looking for Index like that...But damn, why didn't I stop her?"

He pulled out his phone.

"Styil here. Tsuchimikado the plan changed, get to my place as fast as possible." without waiting for a reply he cut the call and stood up from the rooftop her sat on. Sighing before tossing his cig into the abyss below him, he trotted his way towards the emergency staircase, he wasn't like Kanzaki and could just jump up and down a five story building like nothing.

Though deep in his mind Styil also wondered why the weather in this city felt so artificial...

"But Uiharu, didn't you hear? She just said that her clothes give her diving protection right? Isn't that cool? Doesn't that remind you of all those Manga and Novels in which people from the church use supernatural powers to fight evil and such? Isn't that awesome?! Doesn't that mean that fiction and reality are mixing up?!"

Index was getting farther and farther irritated, hadn't she just said a little too much about magic? Then why was that girl getting so hyped up, it didn't make any sense, really "S-so you believe me?" she said in the spur of the moment.

"Ma, ma, please think about this calmly Saten-san. Something like divine protection couldn't possibly exist, right?" Uiharu clearly tried to calm the situation down but obviously heard Index's last question since she stole a bewildered glance from the nun.

"But her robe exploded when my right hand touched it, right?"

The flower head blinked.

Index blinked.

"We-well…" Uiharu looked from Saten to Index then through the room just to look at Saten again.

"So, doesn't that mean that her robe has something to do with a supernatural phenomenon? Or else it wouldn't explain why it did what it did, after all when I touched your flowers didn't they wilt too- … !" Saten quickly shut her mouth with both hands since apparently the thing she stuttered out like nothing was something that reminded her friend of an unpleasant experience.

"What, do you mean 'When my right hand touched it'?" Index blurt out suddenly getting crucial information as to the circumstances around the destruction of her Walking Church were suddenly revealed But that can't be … wouldn't that mean that she possess the ability to cancel out a miracle of god?!

"Wh- well," looking for help from her friend the long haired girl only got a cold smile that clearly said 'Go on, please explain' which promptly might result to an onslaught from both girls if she didn't as much as try to reason her way out.

Thankfully she didn't need to when the door to the office opened. From what she saw was that a glasses wearing girl with a big rag entered in a panicked and confused haze as she seemed to drag someone inside.

Index's eyes widened. She couldn't believe her eyes, nor could she believe what her mind was trying to tell her.

That someone, entering the office blood-smeared and dripping, too wounded to normally be considered alive, was non other than her Kaori.

Upon seeing the bloodied woman both Uiharu and Saten jumped up to help the glasses wearing girl. But the bloodied woman made one last attempt to move, shoving the worried hands aside and walked directly to her. And she stepped forward too, but stopped when she realized that the girl, her Kaori has pushed herself far too hard. Anger and concern welled up inside of her.

The other occupants of the room sensed the unspoken tension but the glasses wearing girl broke through it "Come over to the couch, we're going to lay you down and help as much as possible, Uiharu-san please give a call to the nearest hospital, otherwise this hothead is getting herself killed." the bespectacled girl said with a clear and supervising voice and the flower head quickly complied.

But the silver haired nun knew it, those eyes, Kaori's eyes were solely focused one her, telling her what she need to know and that she shouldn't risk revealing magic.

But to hell with that!

It's bad to keep on losing the memories of the dearest person in her heart, but to loose said person is something that is far far worse. Balling her fists she prepared herself for what she needed to do.

"Wait!" she screamed, which resulted in Uiharu dropping her phone, Saten letting go of the first aid kit and the glasses Girl which was called Konori if she had heard right earlier to stop in her treks "I can help her … but you have to trust me." Index said and helped to move Kaori towards the couch with the help of the others who immediately rushed to her.

Once their surprise cooled off they laid the wounded woman on her back. Index winced when she saw how badly she was hurt, but silently promised to save her.

She closed her eyes and waited for that familiar presence.

"Uiharu also call Anti Skill, tell them that we're searching for someone who harmed an civilian. I don't know what that girl is up to but we should stop the bleeding as fast as possible." the glasses girl told both girls eying the pair at the couch with worry briefly before turning back to the Uiharu and Saten. She noted that both of them looked like they haven't slept much. To her surprise the younger girls stood still while their jaws dropped. At alarm she too turned around and saw a blinding light shining over the silver haired girl.

A blue light was flowing out of her, pure and balmy filled with respiration and peacefulness yet so foreign that none of the girls present understood or comprehended it. The girl they knew prior started to float within the air while the light spread like wings through out the room touching anything with invisible hands gentle like a mothers touch and cold like a fathers scolding. However the light did not dare touch Saten Ruiko. It simply floated around her not even capturing her hair within its grasp.

Uiharu however got the experience of light engulfing her and her flowers completely. not understanding what was happening here or why it happened she simply stared dumbfounded and utter still as she watched the former not glowing silver haired girl land on her feet and walk towards the wounded woman.

Said woman simply stared in wonder and shock. she didn't understand what was happening or why it happened. She was told over and over that Index was incapable of magic that she possess no magical power what's so ever yet here she saw her glowing with an other worldly glow that seems to flow right out of her. She didn't understand form what she could gather when she saw the look in Index's eyes she thought that the younger girl was going to use Idol Theory to summon an angel to heal her. Here however the angel appeared to be Index herself. Without an incantation , without uttering a word, without the resemblance she had with the girl formerly known as Index.

And she didn't understand anything, not the world or the look Index was giving her. She only felt those invisible hands within the light touching her, her wounds, her hair, and she felt the touch deep deep within her soul. And she cried a little because she felt like Index was within her, touching her and giving her hope and understanding and when those tiny hands reached her form all she saw and felt was the light.

From her lips passed words spoken in a heavy accented English

"All Human Forms identified, even Tree, Metal, Earth, and Stone; all Human Forms identified, living, going fort and returning wearied Into he Planetary lives of Years, Months, Days, and Hours; reposing, And even awakening into His Bosom in the Life of Immortality.

And I heard the Name of their Emanations; they are called Jerusalem."

Whenever those words where spoken the restrictions within her mind and body were lifted, freed and redirected. Through the palm of the once and great her words were his and his were hers. Watching with eyes the color of rainbows exposing the cold nature of humanity. It watched over her as it did over everything within that universe yet he didn't act on anything saw nothing but his own machinations. But as it was before and is today he will allow a child's selfishness.

After the light dimmed and Index slummed onto the ground Kaori immediately shot up and caught the girl hugging her and never even questioning why she suddenly felt this healthy. Catching the younger girl in her arms she stayed that way without moving and simply hugged her.

The others simply stared and waited for anything from the two hugging two that might explain to them why or what actually happened.

And they stayed that way until Mikoto and Kuroko showed up.

° I wouldn't do it again if I were you ° the voice echoed inside his brains not wanting to recognize it even in his weakened state. Worse if he were to act then the black haired teen who came into his room would notice him being awake.

° You know what I mean right? Really, why do these young ones always rush out into the world like that. Taking on a Saint without any preparations? Insane! But still you're lucky, normally that brother of mine is so fond of them that he'd punish those who dare injure them – honestly speaking they are the closest thing he'd considered to call children and not, well, trash…°

Who the fuck are you talking about! The albino screamed inside his mind but only a deep chuckle escaped the voice.

°You don't know half the truth, are battered and bruised and barely alive .. thanks to that boy by the way. He must be seriously concerned with the lives of others over his own. In another universe he wouldn't have lost his original powers but his own memories but such is the price to pay when you mess with the rules of your universes.°

'I still don't get what you're talking about! Who the fuck are you? What are Saints? And who the fuck are you talking about! What do you want from me and why the hell are you talking like a fucking transvestite?! I seriously consider myself becoming insanes if you are some kind of 'voice ' within my brain that just exists to torture me!'

°Do not worry you, you aren't going insane, you are merrily a part of a big experiment the four of us have devised. You know living for more than forty thousand years can make a being pretty bored and since we are in our current existence pretty much cut of from the flow of time we decided to use this world as a playground.°

'You're kidding? Are you expecting me to believe such a bullshit story?'

°Can't deny that I am the only thing aware that you are conscious, right? Don't fret the small stuff. You see you and that boy are going to be my representatives. You see, since we were bored, we decided to mess around a little. One, that boy with the hero complex and who would willingly take the brunt of a hit if it would mean saving someone, had to lose his ability. you see:

°He could cancel out any supernatural power that exists or doesn't, depends.°

'And more bullshit, are you telling me that there exists someone with such an nearly impossible to perceive ability? And I should believe that this guy had lost it? Talk about an unbelievable story. It's not possible, what kind of personal reality would that guy have if he materialized such a ... wait a sec- no that couldn't be. If that is true than why aren't there more than him? there should be more than enough idiots who could have the same ability!'

°But that isn't the case, you see, Uriz- Oops shouldn't mention him, well my sibling is looking over any being that exists, especially us since we are just as powerful as him and could make his plans and ambitions a nightmare but one of us Luvah actually did rebel against him, lost his right hand and it fell upon the bosom of a child, plant or anything - really we also didn't know how the hell it was absorbed into the planets regenerations system but it did and it actually manifested at random.

°One time it was even a comb, another time it was the gun that shot JFK though I don't know the details about that- All we knew was that this boy over there was the latest within the circle, which is why we didn't want him to have it.

The right hand lost from the master of holiness and sainthood gives anything the power they desire. The desire didn't need to be strong but it was needed to be certain and this boy over there has a shitload of resolve when it comes to his so called justice.°

'And you are just expecting me to believe that story why?'

°Because we wanted this boy to have a different ability, one that could help you become stronger or weaker depending on your relationship. Heck I actually had to directly interfere within this realm, which sadly enough caused more major disturbances than I expected.°

'Meaning?' the albino felt dread running through his back, the pain and intensity of his wounds felt like a small peck compared to the oppressive air that suddenly filled up the air and nearly suffocated him. He didn't dare ask again, not even his ego could blind him from the unspoken truths.

The thing talking to him was far far more powerful than him.

°Meaning, huh? Well for one, I simply wanted to have that boy lose his ability. transferred it successfully to an unknowing girl who didn't know the world or the city as well as she thought she did. by then I accidentally caused a string of events that should have happened. But that's a story for a different day.

°Let me just say this, I want you and that boy to team up for a city fight steal the flag game we have devised. may sound strange, may sound oppressive but what this city or this world needs isn't what my sibling wanted to happened here. Normally he would have you fools go against each other in a never ending story of violence and gore but since the four of us decided to have a showdown like this... let's say I want you to win.

°Once that boy has healed you with his knew found powers, meet me at his apartment. you need him by your side I assure you. The rest of the rules will be explained later, oh and before I forget look up information about Tsuchimikado Motoharu, he will be a most useful pawn.°

"°Cheater!°" the wood haired one with an eggplant atop his head screamed. His voice echoing through the space of endless convergence and attracting his brethren who appeared around his. The one which looked into the cold nature of humanity simple turned away from his machinations and mustered his brother's appearance.

Disinterested the beige haired one looked back onto the mirror which he held in arms length, on its surface the image of Kaori and Index embracing. He put the mirror beside the 21 others and turned back to face the wood haired one.

"Why should I explain myself to someone who did the unreasonable act of taking away that boys powers? I planted the dragon kings within it carefully so that when he dies they would do too but you just had to interfere didn't you? Los, what can you say to your defense?" the cold hearted one spoke his eyes still devoid of human emotions.

The wood haired one however went from being the addressee to spectator and he could help letting his displeasure out "Huh? What? Since what had this become about Los? Shouldn't you answer to us about your little planning instead of going after her?"

"Suck it up Tharmas" the dark haired one, Los, said neither answering the pale haired ones questioning eyes nor acknowledging the wood haired ones protest. She simply stared at the one in front of the world with as much authority.

A smile broke free on her lips "As one such as I, it was only my right to enact that little plan of yours. It wouldn't have worked, eventually the dragons would have freed themselves devoured all magic and science and eventually broke into this realm. Do not forget that I as well as Tharmas are free of the concepts of time and space which you carefully spun around the worlds." she paused gripping the eggplant of Tharmas head and ripping it out.

His screams echoed throughout space and continued to hound the gray deserts. A plane free from time but filled with chaos and despair.

After Tharmas stopped his screaming, she simply walked up to the beige haired one and handed him the eggplant. The other accepted but threw it at Tharmas head with enough force that it ripped off.

"Apology accepted" he stated turning away from his brethren and proceeding to tip onto the keys of his instrument. All the while Tharmas body shook violently until his head popped out of the left over neck.

"Do you guys always have to do that to me?" he asked clutching his head while weeping loudly.

"Doesn't you wife do the same?" Tharmas head spun to his direction, not believing that his last brethren spoke about his pain jokingly "Besides I think you've done a fine job." the other two looked at the paled haired one, neither looked at him forgiving "I think I take that girl as my Representative, she looks like she might need a hand. Can I take that room you're stalking Urizen? Those girl would make a fine team."

"Do whatever you want." Urizen spoke and their gathering finished, completely ignoring Tharmas flabbergasted expression.

A/N It has been really long since I had last written a chapter like this. And I apologize for taking so long to update. I promise I won't let an entire year pass before I update this story again! Another thing, I also updated Toaru no Railgun though I am still stuck at chapter five since it is about a completely different character XD

Next chapter will be when the real mind overload takes place.

And to all those who don't know who the characters in the end are look up William Blake, by the way I have slightly altered/modernized their appearance and personalities XD

Se you next time!

Yours dear
