A/N:So now Vegeta is in the know about Trunks being back from the future. He's gonna stay for the majority of the Buu Saga. Sorry, but I don't consider GT canon at all.

Chapter Four Vegeta's decision

"So, boy, have you been continuing your training?" Was the first question that went out of Vegeta's mouth the second he saw his future son. IT was an important question to the Saiyan prince. His current son had not been so good with training. He had been goofing off too much lately.

"Father...are you going to destroy this Dabura on your own? I must come with you..." Trunks said, a determined look overtaking his eyes.

"No, boy, this is something I must do alone. A true Saiyan warrior fights alone," Vegeta stated as he powered up and went Super Saiyan.

"Wait, father! What if you're going into a trap or something? Think this through!"

"I am thinking it through, boy. For my honor and for yours, I fight," Vegeta stated, "You, start training again and stop being so cowardly." He shot a sharp glance at Gohan.

"Well, I never wanted to fight to begin with!" Gohan cried. Vegeta looked at him in disgust.

"You either fight or lie down in the mud and die. That's not how a true Saiyan thinks, and I think Kakarot wouldn't want his own son to lie around and not get his training done!" Vegeta said as he flew off.

"Are you okay, Gohan? Father can be pretty harsh at times," Trunks admitted, coming toward his old pal (who now looked like a ghost of the past, a lifeless corpse floating in a puddle of water...dead eyes looking at nothing...forever...)

"No, Trunks, he has every right to be mad, because I've been slacking off on my training! Father wouldn't be proud of me, he'd think I'm a coward!" Gohan said.

"Relax. Goku made a big sacrifice, but I think he's been watching you all this time and he knows full well what a warrior you've become," Trunks assured.

"Thanks...having your presence by my side is more than enough, Trunks. This is the first time in a while I can talk to someone about my Saiyan powers, about my existence, even. Mother doesn't like it when I talk about Dad or my duties to the Earth and the Z-fighters, and Goten's too young to know such things, but we train him anyway." Gohan said softly, looking at Trunks.

"Yeah, I suppose your mother's had to get harsh and stuff," Trunks said, "I can understand, seeing as I grew up with that...your mother just wants to do what she can to let her eldest son live..."

He could remember having to break the news of Gohan's death to Chi-Chi and watching her face flood with so many tears. 'Not this time. I won't lose Gohan this time. I swear, I won't.' He reminded himself sharply, his fists tightening.

"...Um...have either of you seen my dad? I don't know where he went to all of a sudden, but I...uh..." A new voice caught them off guard.

Gohan and Trunks both spun around, only to see Chibi standing there, looking at Trunks in an expression of complete disbelief and shock.

"Um...why do you look just like me?" Chibi questioned.

There was no way this was happening...no goddamned way...

"...If I said I was an older version of you from another future, would that make things any easier?" Trunks began, looking completely startled.

"Um...no."

"Um...if I said I was the one who saved everyone from Cell and the Androids, would that bring back any memories?" Trunks said.

"Oh, Cell? That dude who Gohan beat? So...you...did...wait...I'm kinda confused here," Chibi said. "So you're me?"

"Well, not really...we're different," Trunks said.

"True, my fashion sense is much better." Chibi said.

*Cough, not like your GT fashion was that great.*
