Stefan closed the book he was reading and looked out of the window. He hadn't realized that it was already dark. Stefan turned his face towards the wall of his bedroom, where he had a watch. He looked at the time; it was already half past eleven.
"Wow" he said to himself. He got up and went downstairs to the kitchen. Damon was there getting a blood bag.
"Night, brother." Damon said.
"Why are you still awake, brother?" Stefan asked opening the fridge to get a blood bag.
"I was having some fun." Damon replied with a smile. Stefan rolled his eyes at him. "What about you, Stefan?"
"I was reading."
"You still reading Game of Thrones man?"
Stefan turned around to stare at his brother.
"Is there a problem with it?" As there was no reply, Stefan continued talking. "You should read it, Damon. I guess you would get in love with Ygritte."
Damon panted.
"I would never get in love with a fictional character. Don't be silly, Stefan." He turned around and left the kitchen. Stefan did the same thing and walked all the way back to his bedroom. He found his Game of Thrones book on his bed. The temptation was too strong; he needed to continue. And so he did. The moment he opened the book everything that was surrounding him disappeared and he was transported to the magic world of the Seven Kingdoms. The chapter he was reading was about Daenerys, his favorite character. He kept on reading the entire night until the sun was up and he had finished the book. Once he had finished the book he felt empty inside and went to Damon's room completely overwhelmed.
"I'm done with Game of Thrones." He said the moment he got to the door. Damon was half asleep with a blonde human by his side. He grumbled.
"Well done brother. Now, could you let us" He pointed the girl and himself "sleep, please?"
"But…there's no more Game of Thrones until the writer publishes another book…" Stefan's voice sounded really devastated. Damon sighed and got up. He walked towards his brother and touched his shoulder.
"Then go and find a way to get into the book, Stefan." He said it as a joke and then turned around and went back to bed, but Stefan couldn't stop thinking of his brother's words. He took his jacket and went to see Bonnie. He spent a long time knocking at the door until someone opened. It was Bonnie's dad.
"Stefan, why are you here so early?" He asked half asleep.
"I need to see Bonnie now." Stefan's voice was anxious.
"She's sleeping…" Bonnie's dad said but Stefan was not there anymore. He had headed to Bonnie's bedroom and opened the door. When Bonnie's father got to his daughter's bedroom Stefan was talking to Bonnie.
"Do you think you will be able to do it?"
"I can try, Stefan, but…my magic is not as powerful as my ancestors'."
"Try it. Please." Stefan said as if he was in a hurry. Bonnie looked at him and sighed.
"All right. I'll have a look on my Grimoire." She got up and took her Grimoire. "It will take me some time."
"I'll wait here." Stefan answered, looking at the Grimoire too. Bonnie kept looking for nearly two hours until she was able to find the spell.
"It's the first time I see this. It transports you to a fictional place." He gazed at Stefan. "Close your eyes" so he did. "and think of the Seven Kingdoms. You will be there soon." Bonnie started to speak in a strange language and Stefan felt as if he was floating while the witch's voice slowly disappeared. He took a deep breath and smelled a different air. That was the moment when he opened his eyes and saw it.
He was in King's Landing.
