Author's Notes: I just missed writing pre-movie Rhoda Rabbit. No plot. Just fluff.

"C'mon, cowpoke! Taste it! Taste it!" the rabbit chirped, bouncing.

"Rho-" Baby Mina began to say. But the rabbit suddenly shoved the loaded fork into her mouth.

Mina's eyes flared, ready to stab the fork back to-

Jesse smirked when her furious look suddenly laxed, her jaw instinctively chewing.

"This is... actually not bad," Mina begrudgingly admitted, glancing at the slice of carrot cake.

"I know, right? Jesse made it!" Rhoda exclaimed as they sat inside her trailer. She turned to him. "You're going to make a wonderful husband someday!"

That made Jesse look up, expression unchanged.

He's never been told that before.

Lover, yes. Paramore, yes. Forni-

Rhoda's eyes were all stars with the possibilities. "Any gal would be lucky to have ya! Do ya like someone, Jesse?"

Mina downed her glass to stop the "HA!" retort that was trying to fight out of her mouth.

The rabbit gasped, high and dry, when Jesse's response was to simply look away. "You do!" she exclaimed, pointing at him.

She thumped his shoulder, already bouncing. "Why didn't ya say so, Jesse?" Her thumb drove into her chest proudly. "I'mma good salesman when it comes to advertising friends to the object of their affections!" she exclaimed, suddenly pointing to an imaginary girl.

Then she dropped her hands, giving them a confused glance. "Although they always turn down my offer."

Mina filled her glass, choosing not to reply.

Rhoda rubbed her hands together eagerly. "Let's see… hey you! Don't ya know you're one lucky lady?!" she yelled to a certain space.

Jesse got the feeling that this is the part where said Rhoda's friend tries to sneak away.

She swept her arms to his direction. "My friend here is the best!" Rhoda grabbed his hand. "I've seen him tie a little boy's shoe and I've never seen hands that are so big but so gentle!"

Mina contented herself with the thought that at least they're not in public… like last time.

"This guy," she declared, raising his hand like a boxing champion, "knows how to bake a killer carrot cake!" Rhoda pointed at the particular spot again like a commanding officer. "Marry him!" she declared.

"Rhoda, I think 'she' gets it now," Jesse calmly stated. In fact, he could almost see the "girl" slowly backing away.

However, the rabbit springed out of his side, holding herself close.

"And he makes everyone feel like warm inside -like a mug of hot coco in the middle of the winter!" she happily chirped, bunnytail swishing.

That made Jesse still. "What do you-"

"You mean the heat someone feels in their loins?" Mina cut through.

Jesse faced her with a scowl of disgust. "I'm right here, Mina."

Rhoda was still bouncing around in the background, singing praises. Literally. With a banjo out and everything.

"Oh when ya'll meet

He'll just knock you off your feet

and I ask you very confidentially

ain't he sweet!"

"Rhoda," Mina began, unplugging her ears. "I don't think Jesse needs help. Just let him suff- I mean, let him be," she said with just the tiniest slipping of a smirk.

"But Mina! How're they going to know what's under the hood?"

Jesse pinched the bridge of his nose as the pseudo-infant began pounding the table with uncontrollable laughter. There's no getting her head out of the gutter when her mind is one already.

"I'm serious!" She grabbed Jesse's hand again. "You make me feel strong and safe whenever I'm wid ya!" Rhoda smiled into his eyes. "Isn't that what gals want?"

Jolts of electricity zapped from her hand through his digits, one question lodged in his throat.

"And if she still doesn't see that, I'm gonna knock some sense into her!" she stuck out her tongue, lightly rapping her head with her knuckles.

Mina's jaw dropped when Jesse actually snorted… in laughter.

But Rhoda was beaming, staring at Jesse, who's trying to compose himself. As though he's the only person in the world -or room for that matter.

"You really like making people laugh, don'tcha, rabbit?"

"Yup," she tilted her head, her voice soft to hear his velvet chuckles more. "I really love making Jesse laugh."

The End.
